Exactly my point as well but it is true when you play against the same players even online you start to notice how they react and what moves they make on what kind of cards because everyone has certain way of reacting to bad and good cards.

In the online scenario you can use the player notes and marking.

It is worth starting to mark players when you see a style you can recognise eg I have a tag for "goes all in with weird hands"

At first it wasn't that useful but now after a time of doing it on 2 sites I meet 3 or 4 "marked" players in every tourney.

Information  is king.

Then I just need to wait the right moment

364  Economy / Economics / Re: How does bitcoin market cap take into acount forever lost bitcoins on: November 28, 2020, 09:15:23 PM
Right now Bitcoin market cap is about $316,001,197,150 for a bitcoin price of $17,029.88, doing the math ( not my forte ) that means they are taking into account 18 556 650 coins in existence.
It´s fairly known that way more than 10% of all bitcoins is forever lost.
So my questions:
Is there a more reliable market cap calculation out there?
How does this affect evaluation,  for example when comparing bitcoin to gold.
What would be the best method of knowing how many coins still exist?

1st time post... so maybe a bit of a newbie kinda questionnaire.
stay cool good people of the internet  Cool

How you actually considered those Bitcoins are lost? Those coins stays in the wallet for very long time doesn't mean it was lost even if it lost still it has its role in the price and Market cap values so no one is faking the values and importantly total marketcap is not really an useful stats.

That resonated the most with me as the best answer so far.

in other words the old adage applies here,

1 bitcoin still equals 1 bitcoin!

Hey Globbo,

are you crushing Pokerstars? Any games this weekend? BitAce on Sunday?

Had to take 2 weeks off from poker due to some personal problems but back on track again this weekend. Just deposited $20 and will try to build a bankroll again with some Sit'n Gos.

Hi glad your back and thanks for asking

Big BTC ticket game starts in about an hour on SwC

BitAce on Sunday?

He will probably stream ChefCat Social Game on Sunday. You should come and join team bitcointalk.org on Sunday's Chefcat. Im having hard time carrying the whole squad alone Tongue lol. I was the only one playing last week from representing bitcointalk.org

More details about ChefCat Social HERE

Just deposited $20 and will try to build a bankroll again with some Sit'n Gos.

Yep, sit'n go is basically faster to build in some bankroll but I still prefer playing in some tournaments. Basically sit'n go is another version of all in or fold game, people will shove when they had decent hands and to be honest I find no pleasure playing this

Sure enough I will be streaming the sunday social, thanks for posting the link to the details.

I made a thread to link to so I don't have to keep sharing random imgur links.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5293131

Ill keep the League table up to date there

Here is the thread with links and game details.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5286888

Also the bitace sounds like a plan but it does go on long

Thanks

Yes but it was to reveal is it worth it or not.

My feeling after these months is not

Although I accepts there were moments of profit. This thread confirmed the alarm bells for me.

So Im out!

367  Economy / Economics / Re: How does bitcoin market cap take into acount forever lost bitcoins on: November 27, 2020, 09:32:35 PM
There are no such lost forever bitcoins it is only not doing any movement nor inactive in the circulation for a long period of time which can be retrieved and get back to the pool once agreed by all.

The market cap does not fix it may change from time to time depending on the price of bitcoin. It can be computed that is by multiplying the current price or on your preferred specific time to the total number of bitcoins that have already been mined including the lost forever coins.

Though the market cap can be changing the number of bitcoins that can be mined is predetermined to 21 million only and that will never change forever.

Are you a person who thinks one day someone will crack all those lonley loose coins?
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 27, 2020, 09:28:44 PM

369  Economy / Economics / Re: How does bitcoin market cap take into acount forever lost bitcoins on: November 27, 2020, 09:24:40 PM
It doesn't of course!

This type of thing is on individuals.

and can only ever be an estimate

That said how much must be burned by now? wow no way to prove it ever!

370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin anonymous? on: November 27, 2020, 09:14:38 PM
Do you realy think of bitcoin as anonymous?

can be easily linked to an IP address

and anyway TRANSPARENT LEDGER!
371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Follow a trading process. on: November 27, 2020, 09:03:39 PM
Don't get trapped in tools if x do y

better to react to the situation.

and a tricky thing? don't do the same thing twice!
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: November 27, 2020, 08:53:17 PM
This thread hasn't convinced me to rush and invest.

Its pretty much as proved here some win some lose.

In essence the casino is transferring the risk, no doubt so win or lose = they win

It seems viable

Just like track side bookies lay off their risky bets

373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 27, 2020, 08:44:53 PM
These games are available live on sky tomorrow

...//..:
It is a bit of everything, in the long run as you mention the situations or the different types of games lead you to use all this information.

It is not just a question of knowing a percentage, the opening ranges are very important when you are starting to play poker and they are of great help, but knowing with which ranges to play in certain situations you don't learn it with a data table, but the skills or experience.

In my case, the data that I am most attached to regardless of situations or tournaments is the pot-odds table.

Poker allinBlack Friday odds for you Globb0  Cool

To: OP.
Actually, the OP's table, is more a statistical information than a determining action in your game.

Exactly on this last point from the FamososMuertos

A hero of mine keeping me honest!

Say in a 9 had game it really depends on your seat. still even further than that if you are at a table where no one ever raises and they all check in? you might as well see cards every hand.

So many variables.

The more confident I get the more I miss the odd crazy obvious enemy destroy me hand like a straight
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 27, 2020, 08:05:47 PM
These games are live tomorrow on BT Sport

Pretty clear favourites for both Liverpool and Man City though, City don't look in a great place league wise!

376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 27, 2020, 05:44:50 PM
I think that the game of today in the last few years have finished with less than 2 goals scored so I would bet on under 2.5 goals as a good option in this game between Crystal Palace and Newcastle. Also in the standings there is no big difference and I think a 0-0 or 1-0 win for Crystal Palace is the most likely results by judging the head to head games since 2018 until now.

Actually head to head is not always effective because the conditions of the team and players are not the same unless you take samples in the last 1 year
Try to pay attention to the totals scored and conceded by both teams, more than 10 goals scored and more than 10 conceded in 9 games this season
However you are free to take bets, good luck
Right, head to head cannot be a benchmark for a match and I've often made mistakes because of head to head. But whatever your bet, I just wish you luck but indeed, in this match it is quite possible that there won't be many goals because so far the two teams haven't scored too many goals in matches apart from that, the number of injured players might be another factor. Betting under 2.5 is an option that might be right but again, it can't be based on head to head only.

It is all data though? obv you cant just say won last match (vs Shef utd) = will win next match (vs LFC)

I also look at home and away, head to head. Last few results.

Why discount any useful info.

What makes the world hard to predict is the huge amount of variables.

Can you find enough of them to accurately model sports and win at betting?

good luck with that, they cant even predict the weather.   Cheesy
