Can you all not sell at 10k. You are going to crash it.

Maybe some sell at 12k or 9k or 13k?

Am I the only one waiting for 32k like Adam promised?

Don't ruin my plans.

I feel this thread needs more cliff Richard. He's definitely what we've been missing. I want to be the first to say well done gentlemand

I need to get on this whole ledger nano thing and split my coins ready for more splitting.

I have no idea what I am doing and it's not pocket money anymore.

anybody else smell a correction?

I'm thinking that it is quite likely that we will experience a 30% or more correction on or before $6k.  OMFnG!!!!!!   Shocked   Shocked

I have a horde of relatives, which are waiting for a correction to finally dip their toes in crypto currencies... Why was no one listening 3 years ago ?  Roll Eyes

This is Human nature. When I was buying in 2013 and through 2014/15 no one gave a shit and I was laughed at. Now it's up so high everyone is asking me questions.

My wife's granddad was asking me about it today and I told him my initial investment and what I potentially have now if I sold and for a second I thought I was going to go down for manslaughter. He looked a bit giddy and had to sit down. Do not shock the elderly with big $$€€££ numbers.

Sit down JJG and breathe my friend. Take in some oxygen and have a glass of water.

Relax.
366  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 4000$ !! on: August 10, 2017, 09:33:32 AM
Yes it will surely achieve that price in coming months and I think we will see it happening before the year ends as I don't see any negative news coming so it will help in moving price in a positive direction in coming months too.

The whole segwit x2 thinks could cause a little hiccup in November. A possible fork looks on the cards.

This may affect the Bull run.

368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 09, 2017, 08:38:53 AM
So, who hasnt sold their BCH ? I havent, dunno why not. Gut's telling me hodl.

Too lazy and unmotivated to cash out. Will let it ride and see what happens.

I figured I'd dump as soon as Kraken started accepting BCH deposits, but decided against it for the time being.

Let's see how high they try to pump that crap.

I think bitcoin people are lazy people. Because they are smart AF!!! Smiley

I'd like to agree with this statement.

https://www.rt.com/business/398940-kosher-cryptocurrency-bitcoen-jewish-community/
Russian entrepreneur Viacheslav Semenchuk has announced plans for an initial coin offering (ICO) of the world's first kosher digital currency aimed specifically at Jewish communities across the globe.

R0ach has already bought all those. He got in first.

I was laughed at by many of my friends when I was buying at $200.

It's very very hard now not to be as childish as my friends were back then.

Especially as they are struggling to put deposits down on their 1st house and also have been denied by the bank for loans to do renovation work due to deciding to be up to their eye balls in debt paying finance for fancy cars.

It's hard not to bring it up.
Banks are complete bullshit. One of my personal goals is to have as little to do with them as possible, I have seen the shit my folks have gone through. When I want something, I'm just gonna buy it. Being at the mercy of others is no way to live, and not having debt is a huge part of that.

Paying $500,000+ on a $200,000 house over a 30 year period is a racket for sure.
And then the house prices dropped, just as we were trying to sell. Lost over a third of its value, almost overnight. Yeah, fuck all that. No debt, even if it means I have to live on a boat for the rest of my life. Which I might, just because, once I can afford a huge yacht.

As an aside, the real cost of boating is the fuel. A reasonably big boat with say twin 300 HP engines use something like $200 per hour at full speed.

If only you knew what we pay for fuel here in the U.K. my friend. You'd laugh at the $200. More like $1000+

You're not paying their debts off? What kind of friend are you? Good lord.

I've paid off every single mortgage on here now.

Ha ha, I still have a mortgage. There is no way I am going to touch my coins yet. I don't believe 3400 is anywhere near where we are heading in the future.

You definitely forgot to clear my mortgage gentlemand. Maybe I was busy that day and wasn't on here.

375  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 08, 2017, 10:16:21 AM
I systematically sell about 1% of my holdings for every 10% rise in price, and I buy back in similar amounts.

Is not very little profit?

I don't think the profit amount is too little.  I think that there is a much greater risk to try to guess the direction of the market... and too much stress too, when you try to guess.

I mean in the beginning when I was selling in the upper $200s and etcetera all the way up, the amount of money that I was accumulating and preparing for downside seemed to be so small, but the amount continued to go up and add up as the price was rising, so 1% of $3000 coins is a lot more than 1% of $300 coins.  10s more.... hahahahaha.. and with my system the BTC amount had continued to build, too, even though I had been selling and then buying back.

So, even though I currently have 92% bitcoin and 8% cash, I still have quite a few more bitcoins than when I started, and I really feel flush with cash, and kind of like I am really prepared to buy all the way down to $1500, if needed.

I guess my problem is that I continue to want to accumulate, and I always felt more comfortable sleeping in bitcoin rather than cash, so I never want to sell too many my bitcoins, even though the amount in cash kept building up - even though it tends to be in the less than 10% arena, and then still I feel like I have way too much cash, so I am definitely prepared to buy on the way down.  But I could just decide to take some of that cash completely out, and that would be o.k. too.  So, my point is that having a system adds up to accumulation of both bitcoin and cash, and makes you feel a lot more comfortable and prepared for those sometimes unexpected, uncomfortable and seemingly extreme and inevitable corrections.

Hey JJG with all your cash just think of how many BCH you could buy.

What's the current ATH? or where I can find this info?

Bitstamp 3478

This is the most reliable and trusted ATH as I believe.

I use bitcoin price ticker on iOS and it tells you there. Easy to follow on the go.

There is a strong correlation between high IQ and wealth.

I don't see how all humans from all cultures could score the same unless they were all trained to process in the same way too. As IQs are rising generation by generation then it must be a cultural thing rather than a biological thing. You don't evolve more intelligence in one generation.

If the IQ test was for funny comments you'd be right up there gentlemand.

You come out with some corkers

Lets taper off the conversation about jews please. This thread has gotten completely derailed over the last few pages.

I fully agree. It's getting very boring now. My only ignore is R0ach.

I haven't even ignored kwuk. At least he is creative.
