361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite gambling movie? on: April 07, 2019, 06:52:50 AM
I haven't seen many of them but I have seen Casino Royale and I think everybody else have also watched it. It is a beautiful movie but I will take reason from this post to go and check gambling movies list in the Internet. I also remember that Chinese movies regarding gambling are some of the best but a bit difficult to find them easily on the Internet. For the moment my favourite is Casino Royale but only for the moment.

Casino Royale is my favorite as well. Because I am more in to action and thriller movies and hardly ever watch movies with gambling as the central theme. I watched Casino Royale because it was an action movie, but enjoyed the scenes in which gambling was in the background.
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 236 Holloway vs. Poirier on: April 07, 2019, 06:50:44 AM
You gotta be rooting for Max Holloway. This man for me had always been the most unpredictable to what he does in the cage. Some of his fights where we can see his opponent is much bigger but looking into what the fight dominance, its  always this guy  that controls the fight.

Not one of his biggest fans out there, but I watched his last two matches (TKO agaianst Brian Ortega, and similar result against José Aldo). His technique is quite good, but for some unknown reason I don't like him.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 07, 2019, 06:48:12 AM
I didn't see any comment about Giannis and his incredible performance.
He managed to make 0 turnovers during the match and he is now the second player in the NBA history that he did that after Michael Jordan.

He seems to be on fire and ready for the play offs that they are coming.
Maybe because he does not have a lot of fans here yet.
This guy is amazing but the crowd favorite was James Harden, LOL. ... Honestly, I like Harden that Giannis, maybe because I am bias too.

It takes a few years to build the fan base. Giannis Antetokounmpo   started representing Milwaukee Bucks only a few years ago...and during the initial years he was not a regular in the team.
364  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Amazon accept crypto if Bitcoin skyrocket again? on: April 07, 2019, 06:39:01 AM
Amazon is a market leader and they are under no obligation to accept Bitcoin or any other crypto-currency. Why they should accept crypto, when their user-base is already saturated?
365  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the Market Stabilizing? on: April 07, 2019, 06:37:10 AM
Let's just admit it. Under the current situation, the market will never get "stabilized". The vast majority of the coins are in free-float, and under these circumstances there will be a lot of volatility attached with the exchange rates. In order to decrease the volatility, we need to reduce the proportion in free-float.
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will China's decision affect the market in your opinion? on: April 07, 2019, 06:31:36 AM
Hey,
I read this article in a blog that i follow on china ICO ban https://fxpmarkets.blog/2017/09/05/central-bank-of-china-all-virtual-currency-offerings-must-be-stopped-immediately/
How do you think it will affect the market in the long term ?

The crypto market is tired of China. That country has crashed the crypto prices so many times, that nowadays we normally ignore any news coming out from there. And the exchange rates show no impact from the latest news.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please DON'T pay any taxes on your crypto! on: April 07, 2019, 06:29:45 AM
It is up to the individual to decide whether he want to pay the taxes, or risk going to the jail for tax evasion. Although none of us are very fond of taxation, I don't think that there is a choice regarding it.
368  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin be worthless? on: April 04, 2019, 05:06:12 PM
A lot of people have predicted doom for btc on several grounds but what do we see, it always proves them wrong. Btc has gained enough grounds to be worthless now. A lot more people are accepting the idea of btc and for me, it is highly impossible for btc to be worthless

Yes.. in the past a lot of people had predicted that Bitcoin would die out, or it would get replaced by some other coin. But it has shown remarkable amount of resistance. Even now a lot of people are doubtful about its long-term survival. But I am sure that it will remain alive at least for the next two decades.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 04, 2019, 02:54:09 PM
NBA is unpredictable by its nature.no one  knows which teams playing possum for the rgular seasons and which stars will wilt when the intensity ratchets up.their is no way to be certain about matchup advantages, injurie, coach misfires.superstars Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, defending champion Golden State Warriors have the best 2019 NBA championship.

There is no "predictable" sport out there. There is a certain degree of unpredictability with each and every sport, be it soccer, NBA, NFL or MLB. And I checked the odds for the next match (Golden State Warriors vs LA Lakers). The odds are 2/17 for GSW and 8/1 for Lakers. I will not call a match with such odds as "unpredictable".
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on ESPN 2: Barboza vs Gaethje Prediction and Info Thread on: April 04, 2019, 02:44:24 PM
^  Lololol.  Ah.  They guy who loves thowing dollys, chairs, water bottles, whatever is a sociopath.  The other guy who sprinkles holy water on his wife and who could hear voices in the walls is like totally insane.  I hope he gets better soon.

In that case, a fight between these two loonies may be the most exciting fight of the year. Some of the price money can be used for their psychiatric treatment, and the rest can be used to compensate for all those broken chairs and equipment.
371  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia exchange hacked on: April 02, 2019, 05:40:50 PM
%15 of their btc seems gone (it says on my btc balance) but because i don't have eth before, i can't see the lost about eth and we all know the biggest hit were there. So anyone who holds any ether on cryptopia can say the % of loss?

Oh, now i saw it:

"
BTC = 14%
LTC = 43%
ETH = 100% "

It was expected, unfortunately.

Hopefully, we don't need to bear those losses. You might have noticed "cryptopia loss marker" in the balances tab. It is denominated in NZD and represents all the coins that you had lost. Cryptopia will refund either the entire amount, or a part of it.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on ESPN 2: Barboza vs Gaethje Prediction and Info Thread on: April 02, 2019, 05:29:59 PM
^^^ I think Tony Ferguson is currently undergoing psychiatric treatment. Check this:

https://twitter.com/TonyFergusonXT/status/1108161098614661120

If that is the case, then he is ineligible for participating in UFC, right? Or do you want some mentally unstable guy to fight Khabib?
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever managed to recover your losses? on: April 02, 2019, 05:24:52 PM
Chasing your losses is the worst thing to do. I learnt the lesson in a hard way. Take my advice. If it is not your day, then you should just quit instead of destroying yourself financially. Try to think with your brain, rather than using your heart for that purpose.
374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport Do u Like to Bet? on: April 02, 2019, 05:22:36 PM
I think during the last 5-6 years, most of my bets were in football. Boxing will be at #2, followed by UFC. I made almost a dozen bets during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, while the boxing/UFC matches are too few and far between.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 02, 2019, 05:18:54 PM
Even though the Lakers had a bad season they still made the right business decision to bring in Lebron.  LBJ has generated a lot of merchandise sales, tv coverage, and mega hype around the city.  Sometimes its not about just winning, remember that the NBA is a business.

If Lebron is not fit enough, then he should not play. Just because he brings in the revenue, a better player can't be replaced by him. In the end, money matters. If the amount he brings in weighs more than the cost, then I don't have any problem.

Anyway... I am glad that his season is over.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Revival is On The Way - According to a trader on: April 02, 2019, 05:06:04 PM
I am not much excited with this argument. I don't think that there is any significance attached to the $4,000 per coin level.  How can you say that 4K is important to the traders when 3K and 5K isn't?
377  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin be worthless? on: April 02, 2019, 05:02:24 PM
A few years back, I invested in a crypto called Terracoin. Initially it gave me good returns, but in the end it lost its value and died out completely. IMO, there is no guarantee that such a fate can't happen to Bitcoin.
378  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela hit by new nationwide powercut for more than three days on: April 02, 2019, 05:00:43 PM
When Chavez was the president of Venezuela, they were actually doing quite well. Medicare was free and gasoline was available at $0.1 per gallon. But Maduro proved to be really incompetent. He should just step down and take a flight to Cuba.

Maduro can go away and nothing will be fixed.
Without an increase in oil prices, Venezuela is the same as sub-saharian Africa.
There is no magic cure other than oil, the others are painful and will require years after years of reconstruction.

Please take a look here: https://www.nasdaq.com/markets/crude-oil-brent.aspx

The oil prices have already recovered and surprisingly it is having no positive impact on the Venezuelan economy. If I am not wrong, Venezuela earns around $140 million every day from the exports of crude (at this price).
379  Economy / Economics / Re: Current Market state on: April 01, 2019, 04:45:13 PM
The crypto market is currently in a bear season where almost all the prices of cryptocurrencies go down in value. Also, gradually bitcoin is losing it's dominance over the entire crypto market, so the days where you could see that anytime bitcoin reduces in value almost all other cryptocurrencies reduce in value is fading away.

I don't think that Bitcoin is losing its dominance. Half an year ago, the Bitcoin dominance was down to around 33%. But this proportion has increased to 50% now. And IMO, it will further climb upwards with every passing year.
