361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Niger State Government About To Adopt Bitcoin As A Trade Subject on: December 09, 2023, 09:17:14 AM
I think it's a welcome development which is geared towards exposing secondary school or college students to
the basics of how to use Bitcoin and with the practical aspect of using it via mobile phones, though it is going to take a lot of effort to retrain the teachers who are to teach these students this particular trade subject and I hope the primary purpose is to teach the students how to perform transactions not how to trade Bitcoin which might be a little bit complex to them and I hope the Niger State government would give total financial support in term of retraining Secondary teachers who are to impart the Bitcoin knowledge their students.

Newcastle's loss may seem like a mistake, but the overall picture matters. Football losers can't just blame bad luck. Everton showed their potential against Newcastle in the second half. Newcastle's defense was sloppy, right? Everton won due of a series of blunders. Their defense must improve to stay in first position in the league. Newcastle is a terrific team, but their inconsistency annoys me. Seventh, but their game needs more stability. Tottenham, who started well, is next. Not good for them either. Newcastle is great, but Tottenham may win this game. Newcastle must improve, but we'll see

Newcastle's game was too comfortable in controlling the ball and attacking. there were gaps in their defense and some mistakes because they panicked. 3 goals against Newcastle are payment for inconsistency and lack of discipline.
Newcastle are a strong team, they held PSG to a draw and also beat United. Eddi Howe is a smart coach. but this time they were beaten by Everton.
Two costly mistakes by Trippier was responsible for Newcastle defeat anyway no one is above mistake so many mistakes often resulted to goals every week mostly by goalkeepers, meanwhile honestly Everton needed that win to get out of the relegation zone following their 10 points deduction, Newcastle face another tough match against Tottenham on Sunday I believe it going to be a tough match because Tottenham has drop points so far they picked just a single point out of 5 matches thus they needed a win to keep on fighting for top spot having been displaced by firing Aston Villa likewise Newcastle too needed to win the match.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: December 08, 2023, 05:42:04 PM
Let us discuss in this thread the things one should completely avoid while gambling. Here are some suggestions according to me :

1) Do not gamble in work area : It is not ethical to do so. Your employer is paying you to work for him for certain hours. If you waste these hours for gambling, it is a bad habit.

2) Do not take loan to gamble: Some young guys are so irresponsible that they take loans to gamble. It is a very bad move and can even produce life threatening conditions in future when loan recover agents knock your door.
I can never borrow or take a loan to gamble that is act of irresponsibility for doing such act the consequences or aftermath of losing such Money in gambling can be very embarrassing especially if the person is an adul, personally I gamble for fun based on my preference for soccer and I only gamble with the amount of money I afford to lose and I don't also gamble in my work place afterall I place my bet on my phone and mostly take my pick for the weekend matches on Friday evening at home after closing from my day job and I knew the distraction I would battle with at my place of work

I don't know what Harry Maguire has experienced this season until he finally won the EPL best player award for November. This was a turning point for Harry Maguire, who last season was ridiculed, criticized, and even had his career threatened at Manchester United because of a serious blunder he made.

However, he never gave up and was able to prove to his coach and colleagues that he still deserved to be in the Red Devils squad. He has also had competition to get starters and he has also managed to get rid of Raphael Varane in terms of defense. Well, great job Harry Maguire and I hope he can be more stable in helping Manchester United's defense this season.

Maguire sometimes has good performances and because of the good performances he has, Maguire stays in Mancshtyer United, otherwise and because of the mistakes he made and even after all the experience Maguire has in Mancshter United the fans of this team don't want to see Maguire stay in Manchester United and that's why they usually want him to leave even if he get achievements like best palyer award in the premier league.

Maguire sudden resurgence from his usual abysmal performances this season could be attributed his improve hardwork and doggedness on the field when playing for Man Utd which earned the EPL best player award in November, recall he was in the verge of joining West Ham in the last transfer window after he suffered several criticism from man Utd fans due to some of his costly mistakes that often lead to goals against his club last season  instead he stayed in Man Utd to fight for shirt in the squad of defenders which include Martinez, Varane, Evans and Lindelof and it's obvious it's a well deserve award because he had been very solid for Man Utd at the defense though Onana had been responsible for most of the goals Man Utd conceded.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think on: December 08, 2023, 08:19:36 AM
Old thread but the question is still suitable for the current situation. And i believe this is the time to build up your portfolio. Although it could be more effective if anyone can do it little earlier. When op if you done that that time, then that would be more profitable cause that time price fall more down then now. The fact is time duration only. And i think now anyone shouldn't worry about the action of bear cause we are assuming that, bear period is kind of end and bull era will be start soon.
I think it getting late to start building any portfolio now,  it should have done around last year November when the price of Bitcoin and almost all altcoins had experience a bearish sentiment buying and accumulating altcoins that period would have started earning some reasonable reward by now till next year when the halving of Bitcoin is expected to build or earn more rewards, I think bearish run had come to an end so the opportunity to building a portfolio now is to wait for any price pullback or reversal and starting building portfolio using DCA to be on a safer side though a little research on the altcoins to invest on is very necessary and important.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 08, 2023, 08:08:33 AM
I bet on Newcastle and lost, but I have to give credit to Everton as they were fantastic tonight, showing great hunger. I'm happy for Everton. Who knew a 10-point deduction could give players this much drive? Although they were in form before the deduction, it seems like now they have a point to prove. Yes, Newcastle's inconsistency was questioned in this match, and I'm disappointed too much. This is the same Newcastle that hit Chelsea and Man United hard.
This is why it is called the best league in the world, even those at the bottom can be on fire, it's crazy cool. And this is why we never get bored watching the English league, Newcastle wins over Man United, but can lose to Everton, this is just a round ball. I'm not surprised that the English league always causes a lot of casualties when betting. Cheesy

Everton has a high fighter even though they are still under due to the points deduction penalty. But it must be admitted that before Everton were sanctioned this season, their game was already quite good, especially now that they have dropped to the bottom of the rankings, they are increasingly motivated every game to get full points.
I give kudos to Everton for there courage and determination having defeated Newcastle convincingly 3-0 no thanks to double errors by Trippier that gifted Everton two goals it was indeed a well deserve win, , I believe Everton manager Sean dyche and his players had vowed to escape relegation after their 10 points deduction they could have been above Chelsea on the table had the 10 points wasn't deducted and I hope the team remain consistent in their performances in their subsequent matches week in week out to remain in the league and I believe they would escape relegation because the 10 points deduction is too from my own point of view.

368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to be cautious: Everyone is not market expert on: December 07, 2023, 07:29:07 PM
From past few weeks whenever I open any browser or social media all I could see is some random blogs and news about Altcoins which will have massive pump and which coins I have to invest.

Folks, it's times to be more cautious than every and never go with any random prediction provided over telegram or through blogs as it's a routine that once the crypto market is trending upwards and bullrun is expected we see a lot of experts in the market via various channels like Youtube, Twitter, Telegram, Discord and WhatsApp group sharing random coins with catchy headlines like "Top 5 altcoins with 100x pump", "Whales are investing in these altcoins", "Altcoins which will go to moon", etc.

Please try to understand these are the same people who spreads fud during bear market and impersonates as experts.

Don't go with any such predictions and rather do your own research because I have seen people randomly investing into shitcoins just because it's mentioned over Twitter and the person who has tweeted has huge followers. There will be so much of deceiving as they will share some 10 coins and even if one of them prospers they will use it as upselling point.
I can never follow altcoins analysis by any blogger and through any social media platform, it's obvious that most of the price of altcoins move either bullish or bearish if the price of Bitcoin dump or pump thus share almost the same price action with Bitcoin, as a newbie you are expected to buy trusted and reliable altcoin during the bearish runs of Bitcoin which I believed had pass for instance November last year  the price of Bitcoin was a lower price then that was the best and most appropriate period to invest on altcoins of your choice after research, it can very risky to invest blindly on any altcoin when there are real and credible altcoins.
369  Economy / Economics / Re: New business idea. on: December 07, 2023, 04:16:15 PM
I would have posted this thread on my local board (Nigerian local board) but I didn't because both Nigerians and other countries can still benefit from this little business idea.
The kind of business I want to share is what is called graundnut oil making. This business idea can help someone that doesn't even have a skill and someone that is not even educated, all the person just needs to have is the money to buy the manufacturing equipment that's all.
With this graundnut oil making business, one can get the kind of life he/she wanted because the demands in this graundnut oil making business are a bit high. One can even start with a little money. However, this business is also an investment. If one can dedicate more time to it, he/she can benefit from it (can make it a company).

this information shows how the demands of the graundnut oil is in my country today is.
You can also watch a little on how to manufacture the graundnut oil, I can even invest more if I have this business and start making more money, so what are your takes in this idea?

If you do not have huge capital, please don't go into this business, the profit margin is small. I have first-hand information, I am into farming, over 50 acres of land under cultivation and do plant groundnut and I understand the economics. Agriculture in Nigeria is a very difficult space to operate and if you are used to free money from Crypto, you are just waiting your time, so many factors contributed to these, the one hurting farmers most is the cost of the inputs (Herbicides price has increased over 100% within a year) how can you have a profitable business when the rate of inflation is so high, it eats into your profit margin
In addition the menace of Fulani herdsman who in there usual characteristics use their cattle to feed on farms illegally is another big challenge, I read stories of deadly clashes between family and herdsmen with makes family to be very risky and government isn't helping matter, though the groundnut output from such a massive cultivation really worth it subject to a fertile land plus herbicide and fertilizer the demand for oil is increasing rapidly it is almost used by food industries, household etc I think it's a good suggestion and idea for any interested farmer to take up the idea.
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 07, 2023, 03:59:43 PM
Manchester United is really becoming a very strange team.It is difficult to predict exactly what they will do in which match. It is worth mentioning that United, who won 2-1 against Chelsea, played a really good game.Although they were worse than their opponent in terms of possession, it was obviously good that they were the side that won 2-1 in a match that had plenty of positions and would have ended with a different score if they had the chances.Although the first half ended in a 1-1 draw, they won with the goal they found in the second half. With this win, United, who increased their points to 27 with this win, took an important 3 points in the championship race.
I agreed with you Man Utd is now unpredictable in term of their performance sometimes they would took the lead in a match and later on conceded cheap goals then drew the match or even lose it, in yesterday's match they took their chances and utilized fortunately they didn't conceded a goal to end the match in a drew as they used to do, though they aren't doing badly in premier league now tallied with Tottenham Hotspur with 27 points and 3 points behind Man City, however they lack consistency because the win against Chelsea isn't a guarantee that they would win there next match.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is effecting Market? on: December 07, 2023, 02:58:06 PM
The rise in the price of BTC (Bitcoin) has certainly had an effect on the market. With its increasing value, there has been a surge of interest and investment in this digital currency. This has led to a ripple effect on other cryptocurrencies as well, driving up their prices as people seek alternatives to Bitcoin.

Furthermore, due to its global reach and impact, fluctuations in the price of BTC can also have an influence on traditional financial markets. For example, when BTC experienced a sharp decline in 2018, it also caused stock markets around the world to drop.

So guys what are your thoughts about current situation.
That is absolutely a good observation looking at the past price behavior of Bitcoin it's obvious that it price movement always triggers the upward surge or trend of majority of other altcoins that is why some investors always seek other alternative coin to Bitcoin and not underpriced and invested on them having the ripple effect on the prices of those coins especially when they are aware of upcoming positive big event related to Bitcoin just the upcoming halving of Bitcoin next year, Gold and Silver also experience an upward surge in the past few days seem it is the effect of the price of Bitcoin.
372  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who should own a demo account? on: December 07, 2023, 06:56:24 AM
There is no restriction to who can own a Demo trading account, a new trader or an expert trader. I know many traders may feel like they are now bigger than demo accounts, and only new traders should have demo accounts for demo trades, but I think that to avoid losses still, expert traders should also have demo accounts for trying out new strategies before they try it live. What do you think?

Do you as an experienced trader that has made profit from the market repeatedly, do you still have a demo account for trying out new strategies?
Demo account is mainly for newbie traders with limited funds for practicing how to trade before going Live atleast to have a feel about how trading would look like in real trading, however demo trading can be a different ball game from Live trading this is based on my personal experience when I started trading, some traders who have enough funds still started live trading by funding their trading account with small funding until they became consistent in earning thereafter added more funds to their account to earn more profits, whichever away every method the major  is becoming a profitable trader.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally Bitcoin Devolpers planning to kill Ordinals and Inscription on: December 07, 2023, 06:44:56 AM
There is no need to censor Ordinals, NFTs and Inscriptions
because of their congestion of Blockchain network I think Bitcoin developers should devise a major means of addressing the issue once and for all, of course miners are earning well from from the congestion they would kicked against any form of censorship so the way forward is the responsibility of Bitcoin developers and if not addressed appropriately global adoption of Bitcoin would suffer some setup because of high transaction fee and delays if the transaction fee is small for miners to process the transaction.
374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 07, 2023, 06:12:58 AM
What happen to Manchester City, Aston Villa successfully pressuring Manchester City and that make Manchester City can only give 3 shots. The absence of Rodri really make Manchester City looks like a mediocre club. Alvarez can still able to replace De Bruyne, but there's no one can replace Rodri even they have 3-4 defensive midfielders.
Aston Villa outperformed Man City in every aspect in this match. I believe it's due to Man City's strong determination, but Aston Villa's aggressive play seemed to disrupt Pep Guardiola's plans. Aston Villa executed an excellent defensive blockade.

In the final statistics of the game, Man City only managed 2 shots on target. Despite having a 54% ball possession advantage, I observed a significant decline in Man City's gameplay.

This could be a sign that English Premier League clubs have more evenly distributed strength, not solely concentrated within the top 6 clubs. The match showcased that any team, regardless of their standing, can present a formidable challenge to even the traditionally stronger sides.
It was a brilliant and magnificent performance by Aston Villa their match possession of 46% attest to the fact Aston Villa took the game to their visitors and played their best match of the season while Man City possession was 56% unfortunately unfortunately with few goal scoring chances, it was a very entertaining match by both team both team deployed attacking display,  however Villa could have scored more goals and kudos to Martinez for his brilliant saves which could change the match had Man City scored their scoring chances, with this result Man City had lost 3 matches this season thus their title bid is gradually waning.
375  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold is up to new ATH, silver is up, BITCOIN IS BACK BABY!!! on: December 06, 2023, 03:55:34 PM
By now any investor of gold would have sold part or all  at the resistance zone because Gold had hit a strong resistance zone at 2126 likewise Silver while Bitcoin broke and smashed all it resistance zones with reference to weekly timeframe chart that means the prices of Gold and Silver correlated with each other while that of Bitcoin is not correlated with those two previous metals invariably investors of Bitcoin are now having upper hand in term of profit meanwhile the next resistance zone of Bitcoin is around $48K+ thus there is still run for upward trend for price to trend bullish i.e more profits for it investors.
376  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not very easy; it took my friend a long time to understand. on: December 06, 2023, 03:39:26 PM
Well, no one actually sees trading very easy to learn. Everyone starts with a scratch and seen struggling learning in it's first weeks, months and year. And that is normal in trading. The important thing is, you learned trading even if the process is not smooth but tough. The fact that you learned it the hard way, the sweeter the profits you will soon to bear.

Good to hear your friend has learned the basics now with the help of this forum. You know, one who desires to invest or trade, there's always high rate of success if they start learning from the experiences of the old members in the forum. At least, they're legit and not just ready made stories and experiences.

That is the truth: learning trading is not easy. It takes time to research it. Moreover, the student of trading must have an interest and be ready for everything he has to face here.

There is a lot to consider here when learning crypto trading. Maybe everyone who studied trading here in the crypto space experienced it a long time before they really understood it somehow because it was not easy to understand.
Honestly it would take a very long period of time to understand and master chart patterns in trading bearing in mind that price pattern repeat itself and to master all these technical analysis takes a lot of effort, perseverance and patience, trading is not a profession that every Tom Dick and Harry would jump into and start earning profit, according to statistics that is why 95% of traders are losers, presently I am studying charts  patterns with in a bid to setup my trading strategy though without a mentor and it has obviously taken too much of time, however I am not bothered because in the long run all my effort would be fruitful.
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if your country did not legalize cryptocurrency? on: December 06, 2023, 11:36:33 AM
Bitcoin is a very useful thing to many people. It has provided very good opportunities, job opportunity, trading opportunity and lots more for many people to earn money for their essentials of life. Bitcoin halving is fast approaching, giving many people hope of investment, and making reasonable profit at the end. Yet in some countries it is completely illegal. What will you do if you are a fan of bitcoin but your country did not legalize cryptocurrency?
Bitcoin has not been legalize in my country yet there are had been transacting it seamlessly without any qualms, even with P2P in Binance there had been transfer of fiat between a seller and buyer anonymously without the bank knowing the transaction that had been undertaken by the two traders, the government had officially issued a statement that any Bitcoin related transactions that is exposed would have their asset frozen all these restrictions hasn't deter crypto enthusiast, investors and traders to stop using it up till this moment in order word there other areas where I channel my usage and transactions of Bitcoin whether it is legalize or not.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON is bad coin, here is why on: December 06, 2023, 11:08:34 AM
This two features of TRX  that is fast transaction speed and cheap transaction fee outweighed that of Ethereum in all ramifications, though many project developers adopted Ethereum network for their transactions yet TRX is still the best especially when transacting USDT as compared to ERC which has a very high fee, investing in Tron isn't the issue here but the usefulness of it's features had a great impact in cryptocurrency with regards to it transaction and cheaper fee, I don't know why the OP has decided to downgrade TRX among other networks probably because of its price which hasn't experience tremendous growth compared to the price of Ethereum.

In this moment maybe we wills see, many people have comment with TRON's performance, but if you look at its function, it could be slightly reduced, but the price still hasn't increased. Personally, if I look at this Altcoins, it's the same as the others. If BTC goes up, TRX will also go up. Just be patient for sure because every coin has its time to rise.
You nailed the point majority of altcoins including Tron price would only pump if there is a massive pump in the price of Bitcoin, however the rate at which  each of the altcoins pumps varies some would pump to the very highest point while others would pump slightly high, though the most important thing is the funtionality features of each of the altcoins apart from profit that can be obtained from their pump in prices, cheap transactions fee and fast, swift transaction of TRX network is a big plus for TRON  and as far as USDT transaction is concerned many investors would prefer it or BSC network.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which good altcoins can I hold along with Bitcoin for the upcoming halving? on: December 06, 2023, 07:12:33 AM
This literally the first halving I'm going to experience since knowing about bitcoin. So I've already started holding Bitcoin and lately the progression  has been going well!!.So I've some Lil funds with me but I'm thinking of which good altcoins I can hold for the upcoming  halving, that's going to also skyrocket too. I was thinking about ETH, BNB and SOL. But still, I  need recommendations from you guys about the best altcoins to hold for the halving please.
I think  BNB, SOL, XRP etc are also good coins you can select from the first twenty underpriced altcoins from CoinMarketCap and it's obvious many of the feasible and credible altcoins would experience a massive pump during the halving of Bitcoin next year thus you have to be picky when selecting those coins and make some thorough research on them and you needed to start making a move to invest now because the price of Bitcoin has been on upward trend in the past weeks therefore it's very important to avoid buying altcoins at the peak price that is you can only buy if there is any opportunity of price pullback or reversal that is the appropriate period to start investing in it.

Nobody expected Arsenal to struggle against Luton Town. Everyone thought it would be an easy win for Arsenal. They did take the lead, but in the second half, they were overtaken, and they had to chase the score in the final minutes. Thanks to Declan Rice's brilliance in injury time, Arsenal secured a dramatic 4-3 victory, maintaining their position at the top of the table.

Some might argue that Arsenal isn't strong enough if they struggle against weaker teams like Luton, but I see it differently. They showed the resilience of a big team, being able to maintain their spirit and turn the situation around until the very last minute. That's real courage.

This is the reason why I said, it will be difficult for Arsenal to maintain this position till the end of the tournament because they where struggling in the home of Luton Town as if they are playing with strong team. It was a tough match despite Arsenal embraced the victory at the end of the match but Luton Town use their home advantage to equalized the two goals and still lead the match 3-2 in the second half before Arsenal manager made some changes that help their players to use extra minutes to achieve the goal that gave them victory. Not that Arsenal are not trying in this season but it will be difficult for them to win this premier league title, because their players are still lacking some skills that is affecting them once they are close to the end of the tournament.

I think many clubs tend to struggle at Kenilworth Road Luton Town home ground even Liverpool managed a 1-1 draw at that the same home ground I am not surprise that Arsenal had to battle for a hard fought win in extra time to secure their three points, I am sure many top teams would also struggle on that pitch and base on statistics Arsenal dominated the match, however Luton Town utilized their chances and scored their goals and I commend the home team for playing attacking football rather than packing the bus or play defensively and they could have earned a draw but thanks to Declan Rice who sealed Arsenal win.
