3661  Economy / Economics / Re: What's Next? After Bitcoin Passes The 60K Mark...... on: April 13, 2021, 05:57:03 PM
Is bitcoin for speculation only?   or it is really useful in our daily life?  just curious..  What product can we buy by using bitcoin only...   how many Merchant accepting bitcoin?   is it a huge number?   what do you think?
I won’t really say that it is being helpful in our daily lives, because most of us here don’t make use of bitcoin for our daily needs, mostly what we are making use of is the fiat and nothing more than that. And if we decide to make use of bitcoin in making a purchase it is going to be something that we do once in a while and not on a steady basis. But as for merchants accepting Bitcoin, you can find lots of them online if you search for them.

For example there is Overstock, although I think they mostly deal on Homesgoods, especially furniture. Then there is purse.io that people uses for making different purchase. There might be less of them, but they are available.
3662  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How come some KYC exchanges ask for more info than others? on: April 13, 2021, 04:30:43 PM
Why do some go above and beyond what is even actually required?

Also, which ones ask for the least amount of KYC?
It depends on the exchange, but what kind of information are they requesting for that you don’t really like , is it the submitting of ID? Every exchange I know does that, except the decentralized exchanges.

When you register on some of the centralized exchanges at first, they wouldn’t ask for anything but they will try limit most of the things you can do on the exchange, that way you will be forced to do KYC, and the KYC has different stages , the first one they will require you to give your name, address’s, phone number and other basic details. Then the next stage of the KYC is to submit your ID to verify yourself. Then there are those that will even ask for you to take a selfie holding your ID card lol.
3663  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there such thing as a “safe strategy”? on: April 12, 2021, 01:43:23 PM
I’m not looking to be a full time trader. I just want to do one or two trades per week focusing on modest gains but low risk.

For example: I though that trading on the first minutes of an IEO was a safe option. But after reviewing how previous Launchpad projects went on the firsts minutes I does not looks like a low risk strategy at all.

So my question is: Is there such thing like low risks strategies? If yes, what could be an example of that?
There is really no such thing as low risk, it all comes down to how you play your game, like one of the things you have to do to reduce your risk is to be trading with small amount that won’t affect your pocket in case things should go wrong, and then you have to be making use of stop loss, although sometimes it can cause you to miss out when the market suddenly goes up again after a dip, that’s why you have to be focused on your trade.

Then you can try Hodl, but you have to be careful of which coins you’re Hodl’ing, and you also have to understand that the market does not go up all the time and also it can take years for another bull run to happen, just like the current bull run, we had to wait for years and some people even gave up. So if you choose to just Hodl, buy at the right time and be ready to hold for a long time.
3664  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have a few beginner questions regarding crypto trading on: April 12, 2021, 09:11:07 AM
I'm currently using coinbase as my main crypto exchange. But I keep hearing from a lot of people who have been trading/mining crypto for years say that they don't use coinbase anymore. Why is that? Also what exchange is the most popular to use right now? Is it still Coinbase?
Coinbase is a good one, but if you’re going to be using it for trading it is best that you make use of the Coinbase trading platform which is CoinbasePro because with that you’re going to be saving up from fees than when you’re making use of the wallet in trading.Apart from the fees that might be high for you, Coinbase is a good and secure platform to mask use of.

In terms of popularity, there are other exchanges that are very popular too such Kraken, Binance, Huobi, Poloniex and so many of them. Binance is the choice for most people and it is the most popular and is even bigger than Coinbase when you check their daily volume, and they have less fees than when you’re making use of Coinbase. You should try them two out and compare to know which is best for you.
3665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: April 12, 2021, 06:44:14 AM
What I've lost is big. Last one month have made a big change in my life. I don't know how things gonna change and myself gonna manage. I would like to brief the last 31 days of my life and gambling. Someone could read and won't get into risk of life.
This community and its lessons are always marvelous but it seems no gambler is learning from this kind of threads but they do their level of "irresponsible gambling" and then coming up with another such topic. Do gamble with care or responsible is not a new advice here but people like you are more keen to bring up here your own stories.

I don't have a job, and that's the reason I wasn't able to keep me deviated from gambling.
I am not finding this as a valid reason. You will able to deviate your focus if you are good in self-control. I have seen many addicted gamblers who are into regular job for years. Moreover, if you are into any job then you can easily get loans which will again help you to ruin your finance more problematic.
3666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 11, 2021, 06:49:30 PM
Even though I believe that Nets are not a proper "team" yet even though they have amazing players, I also think that this one game is not indication of how they will be like. Lakers is still the previous champions and even without AD and Lebron they are still a great team, but normally Nets should have won this game easily, but just because they lost it and lost it with 25 points, doesn't mean that they are a horrible team neither. They are a great team who had a bad game, that is the only thing we could take away from this game.

At the end of the day we are talking about Nets here, with irving, harden, durant and that three alone is great and enough, with the help of their other players they will be good. I just do not believe that they are "team" enough to win this year, but maybe next year when everyone is perfectly healthy and pandemic is not as much of a problem, they could become a serious threat.
3667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Thinking more what should I buy more? on: April 10, 2021, 05:23:23 AM
Anyone saw any interesting articles with recommendations on what to buy during this upcoming Altcoin season new Phases??

I'm thinking to buy BEPRO, Bitcoin Plus (XBC), Blocknet (BLOCK) or even getting risky with some XRP...
Do not get trapped by investing into random and crap things. Honestly I never come across any of these except blocknet and XRP. XRP is a centralized shit which is currently facing hard time due to SEC of USA.

It would be much better if you stay within bitcoin and if you are ready to risk lesser (up to 20% of your portfolio) then go investing with eth/ltc.
If you want to risk little more (up to 40% of your portfolio) then go for investing into exchange coins/tokens.

Never have invested in altcoin with more than 50-60% of your portfolio. Always have more than 50% of your investments in bitcoins.
3668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and crypto are Same like casino slots on: April 09, 2021, 06:41:08 PM
Its similar to casino.
Its Same like You lose some% and win some%
Crypto and btc are invented probably the same guys who invented the casino slots Machines.
The Bitcoin slots Program bots dont read the news its just right timing.
But You can win with this slots If You play it right.
But only the mr Satoshi slots nakamoto knows the algorytmical Scheme how this is working.
But whales are Computer btc bots who buys some exacly ammount of coins with Exacly patterns.

And weather You lose or win its a Probability theory.
Its not a Question u Enter on right slot the Question are timing.
Hey, there is nothing about Bitcoin that will make it the same as casinos. Yes they are all under probability, which is the same thing with other businesses. Your normal day to day business can be an example, it is not every day that you go to your shop that you’re going to be seeing buyers of the products that you’re selling.

Having more buyers who demand for your products on a steady which is an increase in demand means that your business is going to be growing . That’s the same thing with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, yes it relies on demands and supply ,and of course trading it is under probability. Let’s assume that you can accurately predict where it is heading to, then what sense does it make??
3669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miami’s Treasury Department Using Bitcoin on: April 09, 2021, 04:54:06 PM
Miami has added Bitcoin to its balance sheet and is now giving its employees the option to be paid in Bitcoin.
This is the first step on the path to an $80 trillion Bitcoin market cap!
It is good to have such news of Miami allowing employees to accept their payment in bitcoin, as I have seen past news that they have plans of doing such a thing, but I don’t know how they solve all legal hassles to do so this quicker.

It’s quite a good plan, employees should be allowed to pick their payment method of choice. I work for a media company and the job is remote, we are allowed to make a choice of payment methods, which is either bank, PayPal, or bitcoin. And I have been making use of bitcoin for receiving payment starting since last year. And that’s the best decision for me, since it made things to be a lot more easy, and they also handle the fees for the transactions.
3670  Economy / Economics / Re: The total value of the crypto currency market is near $2 trillion on: April 08, 2021, 07:26:50 PM
Following the upward trend in the crypto currency market, the total value of the crypto currency market set a new historical record and was near $2 trillion.
The amount of money we are talking about here is basically getting close to some nations stock market, even surpassed some low economy nations, so we are basically talking about something that would be insanely high. And it happened in a year, last year we were nowhere near this level, this year we have reached all time high in the total market cap, and that is the power of bitcoin.

If we keep this up and continue to basically kick ass, we are going to have a lot more power as well and the price will be higher too. Bitcoin is being accepted everywhere and being legal and taxed and considered a currency will be the key to success. I believe we are going to end up going to 1 bitcoin 1 million dollars levels in the future, not saying that will happen today, but it will happen in the future, maybe in 10 years but it will get there eventually.
3671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microstrategy added another $15 million bitcoin to assets on: April 08, 2021, 07:02:22 PM
This recent microstrategy purchase is another evidence of Silver's strong belief in this leading cryptocurrency. Over time, and thanks to large corporate buyers such as microstrategy, the bitcoin ecosystem is evolving.
Grayscale, was also the first company to launch the Bitcoin Mutual Fund in the United States, which played a key role in the evolution of Bitcoin.
I was going to mention that Greyscale too, because that company has really invested a lot of money in bitcoin although I do know that it is not a money that belongs to the company, but rather it belongs to their clients and that’s why I believe that they are going to keep it coming since they are not going to be having just only one client, they are steady going to be having more and more clients who they will be managing their investments, which are worth millions of dollars and even above that, for on the cryptocurrency market.

And when these rich guys see how profitable it is, that’s going to make them to keep on investing more and more money in the market and that’s going to help the market to keep on growing.
3672  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens after Alt Season? on: April 08, 2021, 06:35:29 PM
What usually happens to Bitcoin after Alt season? Does the value go down? Or it goes up again?
I think when it’s ALTCOIN season bitcoin is going to rest and would stop being heavily bullish I guess, and the price can even go for a correction as altcoins continues to be bullish, and when its price is at that low it is going to become stable.

The reason why I said this is because when altcoins starts pumping a lot of altcoins investors who have been holding bitcoin because of the bull run will now start selling the coins they are holding and will be using it to invest back into altcoins and that’s going to cause a fall in price for bitcoin as altcoins continues to pump.
3673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Previous Projects in 2018 again Pumping to All time high on: April 08, 2021, 04:35:03 PM
I have noticed that 2018 best performed projects

Genenis Vision
Gifto
AdEx Network
Einsteinium
CyberMiles
MediBloc
Utrust
UTK
DeepBrain Chain
Gnosis
Waltonchain
Bytom
AION
Power Ledger
ZRX  0x ZRX
Kyber Network
Nexus
Dent
DENT
Kin
Komodo
QASH
Are you sure about this list? Because I'm not seeing most of the coins are good project or I never come across such projects. Komodo/dentkyber kind of only very few coins/tokens that I have come across but most other things are completely new to me. If I remember correctly kyber is something came into this crypto space through binance launchpad not from proper announcement by the forum for ICO.

If you have any list which are including the coins/tokens of the projects which had ICO/bounties on this forum. Because, only such type of coins/tokens I might have collected and might be holding till now. Unfortunately I'm not holding any of the coins/tokens from the list.
3674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ethereum performance, what do you think? on: April 08, 2021, 08:25:56 AM
Ethereums performance today is quite impressive!  + 26%!  surpassing AMD, Blackrock, Square and American Express when compared by Market Cap.
As I am into ethereum mining, let me put my perspective this way: ETH mining will end one day, it will be proof of stake and we know that miners will move to something else, it could be ETC, it could be something else, but every miner will turn to something else, and maybe, and this is just a maybe, maybe someone will make a profit from starting now and when all other miners come into play and start mining that one, the price of that coin will go up?

In that case I believe someone who starts now and holds until that moments come, could make a lot of profit. If I mine x amount of coin and hold it, the worth will be 10x of it when all miners move here, that is probably the idea they have.
3675  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing only for the rich? Think again on: April 07, 2021, 07:07:03 PM
Anyone can invest.  This is true because the cryptocurrency market allows and encourages it.  Crypto is completely different from real estate, open oil or gold, in that you have a mountain of money or wealth to dare to plan an investment.  Cryptocurrency is a new industry, everything is cheap and highly profitable, dream!  But there is one thing that proves that "the rich have better odds of winning in investment, doing business better"
The fact is that investing could be done by rich and could be done by poor people are very different things. When a rich person makes an investment he does it so that his wealth doesn't drop too much in order to lose the purchasing power, your 300 million dollars will be a lot of money in 10 years as well and it would still make you a rich person even though that 300 million dollars wouldn't have as much purchasing power as it used to be.

However regular person makes an investment because they are poor and they see it as a way to get out, a regular person doesn't have even enough money to live a good life most of the time we have enough money to barely live and we barely make enough money, without investing we will get poorer and poorer and eventually reach to a point where we can't make enough money. This is why its two very different things.
3676  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you can't be rich by owning crypto on: April 07, 2021, 06:34:17 PM
The illusion that the value of your Bitcoin wallet is increasing only works when you compare it with other currencies, and if every other currencies go extinct, the only way to measure our currency is by number of things that can be bought for one unit(purchasing power)

I'm not sure if that's how it works, correct me if I'm wrong(I'm not really an economist)
Well you’re right in the one of decrease in productivity, but that’s not going to happen when a few retire after they have made money through bitcoin. If you’re working in the office and you retire because you got rich through bitcoin, there is not going to be a decrease in productivity and that’s because there are already lots of people outside that are waiting to fill up that your position in the office, and once you leave that position your office management is quickly going to replace you with another talent, so it doesn’t stop the productivity, the only thing is that in some cases it might take time for them to find the right replacement, but they will definitely do that.
3677  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anybody here sell their Gold to buy Bitcoin? on: April 07, 2021, 03:31:06 PM
you have to think that bitcoins is an investment that has the disadvantage that in case of your death your family has a great chance of not benefiting from it
That must be a basic responsibility of every bitcoiners like they must educate other family members about bitcoins which includes how and where to transact and how to protect bitcoin securely. At the same time, I'm not ready to agree this alone could be the valid reason that we need to go beyond bitcoin investments for diversification purposes. Still, diversification is good but personally I will be preferring to have bitcoins more than 90% in my portfolio.

If my wife will make a comment here then she will prefer the other way.
Sell your Bitcoin for Gold.
This was how my family members reacted when bitcoin peaked in 2017. I argued with them and tried to convince by explaining the real potential of bitcoin but they were not ready to accept me until they were seeing the another round of bitcoin bull run in late 2020.
3678  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Online Gambling 'or' Day trading cryptos- Which one is more lucrative? on: April 07, 2021, 02:56:01 PM
Trading is kind of depressed when you do it all the day, why trading is supposed to be like that? You can take a break and just avoid watching the price charts all the time. Slots can make a person depressed too if they win and lose and win then again lose but finally they return to home with nothing.
Into anything you are involving for long time, definitely you will get depressed at some point of time; there could be no exception like gambling/trading etc. But, people love to do something for long-term when it remains profitable but unfortunately both trading and gambling may not remain profitable if you are over engaging with that. This must be the another reason why I am seeing both online gambling and day-trading are very much similar to each other.

To end your day profitable, you must gamble or trade only for limited period of time. But, you can prepare yourself in all other times but the actual part of trading or gambling should be only in limited period of time. This is how we can manage trading/gambling profitable regardless of it will be turning lucrative over the time.
3679  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Get rich, don't die trying... Best Crypto Trading Method with Proof on: April 07, 2021, 02:09:48 PM
On first look, this is sounding like someone is trying to drive traffic to their youtube contents. Most probably I might be wrong still practically if I am innovating such a trading method then definitely I might be busy on executing that method on real trading along with my small capital because even small capital will be enough as I'm having a highly profitable method to make it multiplying over the time.

If that strategy really works then every trader will become rich at an instant, what I mean is there’s a lot of trading strategies yet many are still losing money so I don’t think you’ll become rich by just trading.
Yeah, this is the simple reason why most strategists are not working in long run. If you notice if you're innovating some strategy then it will work for some time and then may get failing frequently over the time.

The advantage is that it can quickly sort the best opportunity coins in the whole market according to effective technical analysis parameters
It means, your strategy will find some coins which are going to be pumped in near future? It makes sense. I will bookmark your sheet and I will visit it frequently. Do you have any plan to give free copy to reputed forum members so that they will test your strategy and give honest opinion?
3680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cheap coins flying to my attention! on: April 07, 2021, 01:17:00 PM
I just got all the cheapest coins on CMC and it’ll either be really good percentage gains or really bad haha

But this is all with “extra” money I wouldn’t be devastated with losing.

XAP, YLD, XBC, and Blocknet (BLOCK).
Funny thing is that I saw someone who was complaining about holding like this since 2018 and only gaining nothing more than $70 dollars this year, while there are so many other coins that he could have invested in which would have gotten him a lot of profit than that he’s getting now. Well, that doesn’t mean anyone can’t be lucky, the possibilities of most of these coins becoming the next ethereum or bitcoin is tiny.

I do know that there can be a few among that can become successful at any day, but you can’t really predict the one its going to be, you’re just going to be relying on your luck and hoping that you have invested in the right assets.
