3783  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How did this hack happen? on: March 16, 2021, 11:42:26 PM
personally i NEVER use wifi on my phone. its turned permanently off.

when a phones wifi is on it will check in with any wifi signal it can. whether you want it to or not.

i treat any wifi network as compromised.

Valid point and wifi can definitely be sketchy but this was with the latest xfinity router and a non-default password. I am not a wifi hacking expert but I think you need proximity to the wifi in order to hack it. This was in the suburbs with zero foot or car traffic and there might have been two houses in wifi range. The chance that one of those houses had some hacker in it sniffing packets at 8:30 on a Sunday morning seems very very low.
Im much aware about snipping out Wifi but bypassing the router without having that default password or lets say that it is a string of alpha numeric then its really hard to
hack someones internet or router this is why i do ruled out the possibility unless if someone do really knows your password then its really a game over thing.
When accessing some sensitive information in my mobile then i do just simply make use of my own date than on accessing public wifi's anywhere.
3784  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] Did you get Zhou Tonged? on: March 16, 2021, 10:57:55 PM
I clicked No, as majority of the poll'ers' did. I rarely trade and even if I did, I would be very conscious when taking any sort of leveraged positions that puts me at a much higher risk.
Aside on that Zhou tonged thing then i dont really able to get it up in the first read up until i do realize on what are those things been mentioned about.
Generally in talks of Leverage then this isnt something that noobs should really be getting on engagement.Dont play with fire because comparing it
to spot trading then this is way more riskier but somewhat profitable if things turns out to be good on your side. Its just people do find it appealing
because of the probabilities on making money with just some simple or low percentage swings without even thinking on whats
the equalled risk of it.
3785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: March 16, 2021, 09:09:56 PM
If you believe in fate, be consistent in your attitude in that if you believe it is preset then you should also schedule your budget so it too is preset beforehand then if you win you did so in a way that was always going to happen.  If you run out of money then it was also too meant to be and there is no reason to extend beyond your planned expenditure, in this way believing in fate could be a positive attitude if you are able to be consistent in an approach.

Consistent in your strategy in gambling.

Winning is always our main goal and therefore we have to make a strategy that could help us consistently win, otherwise we are just wasting money if we are not having fun at all. Gambling should be treated like a serious job or a business, you invest on it, so manage it properly.

Fate is good if you do the right strategy, it's not if you are gambling irresponsibly, you just choose between the two.
The main motto is win, so everyone will be in-search of possible opportunities to make it happen. This is where we need to think of luck and fate in a combined manner. We could've made a good strategy that can give assured success, but it happens in the opposite way at the much important time of our gambling. This leads to lack of control and affect the entire calculation. So, if the fate is to win then even the failed strategy will bring success.
Correct! but fate could really be affected from time to time depending on things that you have done but i do really believe that fate and luck is just totally the same because you wont really
win no matter how good your strategy is when luck or fate doesnt permit you in the first place this is why it do always come in random and thats why people would really be believe that everything
is really on chance and some do think that strategies do really work out if they do make use the best of it.Lack of control is one of the common factors that will affect your
probabilities of winning or worsening up the situation.
3786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bad days for crypto on: March 16, 2021, 08:32:54 PM
I think the bad days for crypto have passed, now is the time when we can mine and make profits in crypto, because this year is the beginning of the rise of BTC, and is followed by other altcoins such as ETH, DOGE, Tron, XRP, BNB,  and many new altcoins are being created as the price of bitcoin increases, although the correction is taking place and I think it is a natural thing, it is a sign that bitcoin will rise higher than the previous decline.
Dont ever crossed out into our minds about the possibilities of bad days because there would be always a bear market and thats inevitable and cant really be avoided.
Even though we are seeing that the market is really on bullish run but we should really be wised and take on profits while we still can because chances like this
doesnt really come often thats why its better to cherish while its still last but for those who hold for long term then these things wont really be an issue.
Bad days are inevitable but since we are aware on that risk then that wont really be an enough for us to stop on dealing with it.
3787  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Wattum Management a reliable company ? on: March 16, 2021, 07:20:16 PM
Wattum Management has miners available in large quantities. I was wondering if they are legit. Thanks for the info.

Just like on what others said above which i do also havent seen any information about this company/website which does simply means that it would really be still risky on using up
these things but we cant conclude yet that it is a scam until yet proven but dont let yourself to be the guinea pig just for it to be proven out if its legit or not.
As mentioned and suggested above then i would also recommend the same vendors when it comes to miner apparatus or equipments which do particularly
talks about Bitmain as a main source with these machines even though there are some problems with shipment duration due to demand or other sorts
but it is much worth to wait than to be scammed out just because you have seen those other sites offering much lower price.
3788  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie traders - Learn from my mistakes on: March 16, 2021, 06:53:47 PM
Just admit the reality that Trading is not for everyone .

Just like the reality that Not everyone can become Millionaire , this deserves only some people.

for thousands that venture in trading , More than half fails and not because they are weak or fool but because they are not really for this.
Not only half but i do rather believe that 1/4 of traders are on the success side and the rest are just losers because its just normal to think that the market do composed of with buyers and sellers.
You are right that not all are meant to be traders and there would really be people who would really fail up in longer runs and its up to someone if they do pursue out to deal with things
or simply quit when they do lost money and never look back.People do have different traits and behaviors thats why you cant really tell on where they would be ending up.
Learning from mistakes is a must because you wont really be progressing out if you dont welcome those mistakes and made out some changes later on.
3789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a lone bettor or a competitive one? on: March 16, 2021, 06:05:30 PM
I'm also a lone bettor. But I had a lot of discussions here regarding the sports that I usually bet and there are some agreements and disagreements and I would say it's a good and competitive one.

I think every gambler is competitive per se, trying to prove that he/she is more knowledge of that particular sports. But there could be some who rather move in the background and silently bet and doesn't rub it it when he/she won.
People does have different behavior on things that they do involved into. Some would really be just some humble type of much more preferred on betting alone and make up some wins
but still havent really show off that he do win up and somewhat be boastful on what he had achieved or commited. There are people which on the the opposite side where
they are really showing off that they are really much better among any other else once they had able to hit some pot.Regards on the question of being a loan bettor or competitive one
then i do see myself on the loner side.

3791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: March 15, 2021, 11:59:14 PM
Just sold 5% of my Bitcoin that I've been holding for 3 years and I feel satisfied doing so.

I didn't need to sell, and it was mainly for the satisfaction of getting back some of my original investment.

However, I also feel like its broken the "HODL AT ALL COSTS" mindset which I felt was getting a bit unhealthy.

I do feel there are risks with Bitcoin, and I won't drag people down with that here, but I will be diversifying that money into gold and shares, mainly tech shares.

If Bitcoin dips a lot, I will also buy some more Bitcoin though.

Basically, I'm glad I sold some if only to stop feeling like a slave to it (and to test the Coinbase selling functionality which only took seconds for the transaction).

Those are common emotional personal feelings about braking the true essence of hodl but it isnt bad to take up some profits for the sake of completion or success because
we do have one common goal in here which is to make profits no matter it can be taken in short term or long term it wouldnt or doesnt matter.
Good for you that you do able to sell off your bitcoin and make out profits and holding for 3 years isnt something that someone could able to do so.
Cherish while you still can and its great that you do only sell out a little percentage into your overall holdings.
3792  Economy / Economics / Re: Dorsey to donate his 1st Tweet benefits to charity on: March 15, 2021, 11:15:52 PM
As expected from other view of point instead on getting some praises then these people do rather get some "meh" kind of reactions as we do know on whats behind those kind faces
showing off that they do really care.

I agree with that PR thing and as long they would really benefit it out then they dont mind on spending into something just for them to get even more with that.
Its a casual politician or who have upper positions typical movements or behavior.
3793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters are getting axed harder on: March 15, 2021, 10:18:34 PM
I look backward and see a lot of challenge facing bounty hunters and I can only see that things will get harder. The mental stress of looking for the right bounty to promote, waking up in the middle of the night for several hours to complete tasks for months just to realized you won't get $1 for all your time.

It is another scenario when you discover that the project you promoted is doing great at the exchange market but you realized the team are refusing to give the reward of your labour or change the rules regarding the campaign just to make it hard for you to get your reward.

I think most of this project team see hunters as being toothless because they know the worst you can do cannot affect their project. They name you different names just to make you look like a fool in the eyes of investors.

Until there is a way to deal honorably with these team, hunters will continue to suffer

Your not the only one who noticed that, almost all of us Bounty hunters encountered the style of the team in the project were they will do everything to make the majority of the Bounty participants will not gonna receive their bounty rewards. I think this was already in the cycle of cryptocurrency, just all we need to do is be wise and aware of the project campaign that will arise in this field of business industry.
True, this problem isnt something that could really be getting rid of or completely resolved out as long those project owners that doesnt pay bounty hunters exist then this
main problem wont really be gone anytime soon. This is why the best thing to be done is to choose up the best project on which you do able to make out some verification
and in depth criterias for you do choose or engage with it.Even though it wont be precise on getting the best one but at least you had done your job on finding by means of
those criterias that had been set but still we cant really remove the probabilities on ending up on gaining nothing out of those hard work and time spent.
3794  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19, Lockdown and repercussions on: March 15, 2021, 09:40:11 PM
I guess vaccine availability will be an issue in India. If they want to step up the vaccination drive, then the vaccine manufacturers (Serum Institute in Pune and Bharat Biotech in Hyderabad) needs to make that many vaccine doses available. As of now, they are providing around 1-2 million doses per day and I don't know whether it will be feasible to step up the production without having an impact on the quality of the vaccine.
Maybe International pharma companies can help India out and deliver vaccines from USA? Eventually all people in USA should be vaccinated and then the export of vaccine doses can start. I find it kind of sad that there is no international approach to the vaccination process. Every country is on their own and is trying to out bid others. India has so many more people than USA and UK. A distribution based on population would be fair.

Right now, there is not a single country where there is an oversupply of vaccine. Every country, including the United States is facing a shortage of enough vaccine doses. Therefore the possibility of some country donating vaccines to India is very minimal. Also, along with China and the US, India is one of the largest producers of the COVID 19 vaccine right now. Still they are facing a shortage of vaccine vials.
I'll have to disagree on this one, the majority of the countries are facing shortages yes, especially those in the European Union, due to late agreements from the EU. The United Kingdom hasn't faced any major shortages, nor has Israel, having forecasted the increased need from before it even got released.
Its mentioned that it is on other countries that do face up shortages and to those few countries that you have mentioned. They might not really be facing some shortages but on other areas in the world does.
Honestly im bit skeptical with those vaccines even if its already available into my place but i dont still have the confidence on taking some does of it even though its on the risk of covid 19 but i cant
really remove into my mind about the side effects that could possibly come out with those new vaccines even though its being tested already but maybe in few months time i would consider on taking
on if i do see no problems for that one.
3795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Caution: Don't get carried away by social media vibes while trading on: March 15, 2021, 08:58:14 PM
Building up yourself to be tough in decision to be made when you do deal up with market where emotions should really be set aside and if you are someone who do easily
reacts anytime on hearing out some vibes then that might really be a big problem into you trading career because you do easily get distracted or influenced because of those things
and letting yourself get carried away and as said that with due experience you can really able to control up this thing.
You would realize the benefits and the problems that it can cause if you are really that keen on listening or reacting from time to time.
3796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM in a gas station on: March 15, 2021, 07:27:28 PM
These things have started to be non-news, more like adverts for the companies installing them, make a quick interview about a company, promote it and classify it as news. The most important thing in all of this is one line:

Quote
Fees range from 6% to 20% of a total transaction,

At those rates, those things are starting to target one-time shoppers, fleece them as much as they can, and then to the next buyer or more like victim rather than focusing on volume and on dedicated customers. Just for fun, I looked two weeks ago at a Batm, the fees were not that bad at 7% but buying 100 euros worth of bitcoin wouldn't get me 93euros in my wallet because they would also charge me close to 15 euros for the tx.

If they keep these things up and go full KYC on every purchase they will soon be left with no customers.
One of the cons on using up these ATM's where fees are absurdly high where a certain Bitcoin user would just rather on using up his fiat than on wasting up his precious coins or would tend too
buy in much lesser fees in platforms even though it cant really equalled out when it comes to convenience that it gives but this is just actually a person reference if he would deal up with that or not.

You are right that when it comes into these kind of headlines or news then this one turns out to be some sort of advertising on some companies but well, as long it do shows up some
action of adoption or integration then this one still to be considered as a good one.
3797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have concluded that all governments together can't stop bitcoin on: March 14, 2021, 07:09:06 PM
I get to be thinking what about all the government of the world unite and decide to stop bitcoin and cryptocurrency ?  Grin

I have wondered if this is possible to happen despite bitcoin being decentralized. Within me, I don't think that is no more possible because bitcoin is now unstoppable. Just like water is to the fish, bitcoin is the light of the earth.

What do you say yourself ?
If they do able to do so then they have it done already earlier which it wont able to make this big as of this moment but even though that bitcoin is uncontrollable or cant be stopped
but government could still really make out steps or regulations that would really be resulting into hardship on dealing with it, not only just limiting to Bitcoin alone but
in other altcoins in the market as well.It cant able to stop bitcoin or getting rid of it thats why we do see lots of banning and prohibitions but still
we are progressing in terms of adoption and recognition.
3798  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin back to $ 10,000? on: March 14, 2021, 05:17:14 PM
What threshold will bitcoin go down this year?
Who knows?
No one does have the ability to see the future this is why its really an impossible question to be answered and we are all having the same questions in mind on when this bull run would end
and how possible we would able to go back into those prices but to presume out on the current adoption rate then its hard to say that we would really be heading back down into that level.
Instead of worrying yourself into those price levels then its better to cherish out the current situation we are in.Buyback when there's a correction then sell out when
there's a recovery. It might sound simple but this will really be that worth of your time and effort if you done it well.
3799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: HITBTC withdrawal fees on: March 14, 2021, 04:50:23 PM
Withdrawal fee for Raven Coin is 199.95 Rvn at the moment. It makes 38 USD!
It's only 1 Rvn on the other exchanges.
Is there any reason why you still use HitBTC?
Because there's more that enough evidence online that shows that;

1.  They are outright scammers. If you are unlucky, your account will be blocked KYC verification will be initiated.9/10 times you won't  get verified and your account won't get unlocked.
2. The withdrawal fees are one of the highest among exchanges.

I can attest that the withdrawal fee is high but personally I'm still using the exchange because I never face any problem using it for years already. I also applied for KYC and got approve and all my transactions are smooth, the downside is only the fee, they just recently increase fees on some altcoins as well.
Each exchange does have its own issues even still unresolved and some complaints even into those famous exchange still having these kind of small issues.
If people do find out hassle for them then they can always make use of other exchange yet no one is forcing them to use the platform.Incase if there are
issues with fees then you can always make out conversions to alts to lessen up the fee.Not for erc20 at the moment because it is also high but there are
several coins which could really do the job well.
3800  Economy / Economics / Re: holding bitcoin from early 2010 till today on: March 14, 2021, 03:58:40 PM
There is a wave of newbie who are now entering the bitcointalk forum asking only for help recovering the wallet password, private key or seed they had been holding on to for so long before they left. Some of them may have become bitcoin fans when they were very cheap between 2010-2015, and now they are back after bitcoin hit ATH with high hope of getting rich quick. If some of these newbie manage to get the bitcoin, I'm sure they'll be as excited as hitting the jackpot.
If they manage to open a private lock or seed then of course it is a jackpot that has never been expected before because they used to leave because they do not know what will happen in the future so that the demand may increase with rewards for those who have been able to open it the wallet first.
But I admit that now a lot of people are returning to crypto because they want their bigger profits to come with the excitement of seeing ATH prices being so high, so this will be one pretty much demand if prices stay above high for long.
Lucky for those who do able to make some recovery but for sure most of them that do held off on that early 2010 had most likely able to sold out when bitcoin hits up a few tens or hundreds of dollars.
Basing off with those success stories on getting rich with bitcoin then they do sell off on earlier time basis which means they dont able to maximize on the price that we do have today.
If there are people whom do able to manage to hold that long then its really an amazing thing that they do able to withstand all the challenges that they had experience on this market
its neither intentional or just simply they do forget out that they've been holding some coins wayback.Lucky if they do able to recover it up.
