Ben ‘BitBoy’ Armstrong arrested on livestream over Lambo dispute
https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2023/09/26/ben-token-plunges-30-as-crypto-influencer-ben-armstrong-apparently-arrested/

He was once the most influential crypto-streamer. This is what crypto does to you kids.
Somebody still joking on the twitter community that he's making twitter fun again and I think this will expose what was really the truth or it's just Ben making some drama again. I hope he goes to his senses, he's already a father and he shouldn't shame his kids like this. Well, he knows he will be arrested considering he pre-announce it before he goes on that area afaik.

To put it in context, this casino advertise that you'll make a fortune: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5467700.0. That's bold and I mean it's fine publicity but other red flags seems like showed on that thread already. Well, not judging them but I'll advice to just stay away one way or another.

384  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Simple Reason Why Bitcoin and Crypto Prices Must Fall to Zero on: September 23, 2023, 07:58:56 PM
All bubbles eventually but inevitably pop. Then, massive sell-offs cause prices to decline, often quite dramatically. The real demand is what stops prices from further decline. With crypto lacking such demand, there is nothing to stop the decline, and prices inevitably must fall to zero.
Probably just a hater who wants to stir things with a story. You probably missed that its blockchain technology harness lot of real demands. I guess you're just being dazzled because it's clear you don't clearly haven't been fully comprehend it yet. Try to explore and don't have that confirmation bias wins over you, you should look the other sides of it.

Well, tbh long shot lang talaga kasi kahit ibang mga 1st world countries nga malayo pa talaga sa true adoption.

I stumble upon this news na kung saan nabanggit ni Finance Secretary Benjamin E. Diokno na "blockchain technology has cost-effective financial solutions with security, accessibility, and transparency that could boost financial inclusion." just a recent article.

386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 23, 2023, 12:15:50 PM
Some of players that changes team offseason: John Collins Hawks to Jazz, Dennis Schroder Lakers to Raptors, Kristaps Porziņģis Wizards to Celtics, Obi Toppin Knicks to Pacers, Max Strus Heat to Celtics, Bruce Brown Nuggets to Pacers, Joe Harris Nets to Piston, Lonnie Walker 4 Lakers to Nets, Joe Ingles to Magic and Michael Beasley to Bucks.
Max Strus wouldn't vomeback to Celtics he's signing to Cavaliers this time around. And, it's not Michael Beasley tbh but Malik Beasley, was shocked to see the Bucks would be interested to Michael Beasley when he's already playing on the CBA and no rumors if he'll be back again though he play great there.
Gabe Vincent as well goes to the Lakers, him and Strus are big part of the Heat's run last season leading up to their Final appearance. But I guess with that kind of performance they've showed, they have been offered a good contract and the Heat can't match it.

Same with the case of Bruce Brown, he is also instrumental to Nuggets winning their NBA championship, but then again he has to move forward with a good offer from the Pacers that he can't refused, so good for him.
I guess that's just a good venture for these players and it's not that bad if they want to increase their contract, they deserve it. I think with Strus and Vincent it was a good run for them that they get those minutes without their stars Herro and Oladipo and made it in the playoffs. Bruce Brown and with that $45M two-year contract that he signed in was really a no-brainer if I may ask, that's a good deal to grab.

This would apply to those trends that gone short-lived but I think Dogecoin will not die down that easily, it's one of the true decentralized coin that still exist today alongside with Bitcoin. For a trader perspective his conviction could be mocked but for those investors alike that thinks long term I'm sure he would be hailed as a legend. It's all about perspective and I think he knows the risks involved. Just my two cents.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I can't keep up with the High gas fees on: September 22, 2023, 04:39:32 PM
I'm an average person with some tech knowledge, and after facing the challenges of inflation, I ventured into the world of cryptocurrency this past year. I'd like to raise what I see as a significant contradiction. I believe it's quite disconnected for many individuals in this community to advocate for self-custody and crypto adoption while simultaneously expecting the average person to tolerate exorbitant gas fees.

When I mention "high gas fees," I'm referring to fees that surpass the current charges imposed by Visa and Mastercard. After all, decentralized finance (DeFi) aims to compete in this space. Is it reasonable to anticipate that individuals investing thousands of dollars should be content with paying tens of dollars in gas fees for each transaction, especially during what we consider "busy" periods?

What do you think would be a solution to this not everyone would be able to keep up with this especially in everyday transactions?
Well, unless these banks know how delicate it is to have a low gas fee I think what they're targeting or their market are those traditional whales who may venture into crypto. You really haven't been into the peak of this "busy periods" I guess so that tens of dollars of gas fees might go 10x in the peak periods.

Solutions are being made like off-chain transactions by Bitcoin (Lightning Network), and lot of Layer-2 scaling solutions to make these transactions cheaper than it was ever before. I prefer to use the latter considering there are many ways to do it.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some good, trusty casinos that support crypto as payment? on: September 22, 2023, 02:25:44 PM
I recently got into online gambling and would like to ask for some recommendations of trusty crypto casinos (and perhaps those to avoid Smiley ).
I recommend you to check this thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5335097.0 because this one is fairly articulated or reviewed and kudos to the OP. You can read more about the casinos in this list by searching here in the forum using the search function or DYOR elsewhere.
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Share Your Experience About Casinos You Found Here on: September 22, 2023, 08:23:56 AM
In my case, I had 25% to get scammed by playing in new casinos.
Just to add my experience here and I will really agree to that, they're just good in the early days. Let me guess, these casinos you've played with has the worst withdrawal feature, right? Well, I can relate to that like literally they'll say wait for 12-48 hrs. or if you contact their customer service they'll say it's on the way. I guess these casinos are just managed by 1-2 people and they will be good at the start to look like they're legit but that withdrawal wait time was the great red flag to stay out of them.
392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: September 21, 2023, 09:56:40 PM
Cockfight emerged from one corner of the world and now it is spread all around the world. No part of the world is left, whether it is USA, Canada, United Kingdom or European Countries. What differ is the legal status and the importance it have got among the people. This is much followed by the Philippines people. Every region of the country have got arenas for cockfight. It is the country where big money is being circulated on betting over the roosters. In Philippines there are platforms that are dedicatedly operating to broadcast live fights and provide access for betting. Cockfight can be found to be legal in most of the Asian countries whereas in African countries it is very limited to two or three countries.
In the Philippines you can see many cock arena which is we all know that Philippines has a traditional celebration which every festival there's a cockfighting in arena and there's a big amount of money once you will win but it's hard to win once you don't have a conditioned an well trained cock cause some of the opponent you have is that a very know or big-time cock gambler.
In my area even if it's not festival as long as it has permit from the higher ups like by the municipality, these gamblers will meet there. For me, even if you don't have that fighting cock as long as you're there to bet onto those you'll be able to win as long as it favors you. The best thing about derby cocks is that fights are fast and has few intervals that's what these gamblers love when there's derby.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How did Ripple (XRP) become so popular and blow up in price? on: September 21, 2023, 09:33:48 PM
I think because banks are into them and people thinks it's way more legit if they are being backed by something. On how they are still holding a huge market cap is that maybe because they were here early and even these days they are still being used. I really like XRP on how fast and scalable it was especially if you want it real fast for a money to be delivered it might be on exchanges or other avenues.

396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When Gamblers Fail to Read a Casino's Terms and Conditions on: September 21, 2023, 08:43:45 PM
I have read a lot of gambling threads both here on the forum and in other forums. This makes me to draw the conclusion that most gamblers are either too lazy to read the Terms and Conditions (T&C,)or they don't just care about it.
To be honest, I'm not that lazy in terms of it but will just try to fileter it out and just always do that "find in a page" thing. I'm just searching for things like KYC for the most part, VPN if it's allowed, withdrawal and deposit limits especially for newcomers, etc. I would just leave it if I'm just testing it for a new site that I find may not be worth it or if I just want to check it.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting significant amount on: September 21, 2023, 01:04:35 PM
Are you doing this intense gambling experience by betting significant amount of your bankroll? This is insane but worth it if you are a thrill seeker for entertainment.
I think I always do this for most of the time but I know it's the amount I can afford to lose and it's not that huge of a bankroll tbh so I always go all-in. Well, it's still gambling and considering it only has 25% chance of winning that's too huge of a risk. What game/s you always go all-in in this? I go with dice for most of the time.
398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the drive that makes women go into gambling? on: September 20, 2023, 04:11:01 PM
I think for many women some of the few reasons they go into gambling, is that gambling provides them with the opportunity to be sociable and enjoy time with friends and also use it to escape boredom loneliness or even stress, excitement is also part of the reasons why women goes into gambling the sense of winning creates an additional anticipation of something bigger having the spotlight on you as a winner can make you feel good even for a brief moment. This has eventually turn into frequent trips or long session in gambling.
Money I guess for the most part but I'd say if she's with peers that do the same thing, she'd likely like to be belong in it. Obviously, you just answered your own question. Well, they are that talkative when they're with peers so probably just want something to tell what's happening in their lives while gambling but here in my area, women treat it as men do.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are no KYC casinos taking risks? on: September 20, 2023, 01:44:22 PM
Do you think your casino can be regulated without the AML policy? The requirements says it's all, so is it possible that those casinos doing their no KYC stuffs are not even registered?
I think not, AML should be available if a casino is being regulated. Casinos having KYCs or being regulated will always be a win-win for both the casino and its players. I think these days it's rare if a casino is not doing any KYC and wasn't registered, that would conflict it tbh.
400  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most liquid companies in the gambling industry on: September 20, 2023, 07:10:30 AM
I'd thought I'll see some crypto gambling projects or companies that are liquid in this post but sadly it's not. Well, I think it's good to know if a crypto gambling projects or companies will be listed here since we're more focus on that in this forum. Will gonna wait until that's done, I'd probably think Rollbit is one on the list.
We can't tell maybe OP may decided to  include the ones on this forum or not because for someone like me, i hardly find any of his list familiar to me, maybe he can update later on, but to cap the whole thing with the summary, gambling platforms in general have enough liquids, it takes money to start one and also huge finances to maintain any, this is all a constant thing to do, thry also make their own money, but i think here we should be more focused on how reputable they are than how bouyant is their liquid to maintain a stay in operations.
Well, I'm not that of a gambler person myself or if I am I think I will may not be familiar on any of these companies as well. For me knowing that they are publicly liquid for the gamblers to know is saying that they are reputable but that's a two edge sword though because we will never know internally on how they really operate. I even see reputable casinos that end up gone without a trace.
