381  Economy / Gambling / Re: 10 Bitcoin Jackpot on Social Dice @ BetKing.io on: August 26, 2016, 07:15:58 PM
I told dean (BetKing admin) to look at this and apparently he didn't use the link correctly. Then dean told me how I was gaming the system when someone who isn't a new player but is under a new name uses my referral link and so removed my affiliate status so that I can no longer refer players on the site. There's no rule anywhere that you must only refer new players on site. Am I doing something wrong if in general someone who isn't a new player decides to use my referral link to play?

You probably shouldn't have told Dean everything.  Grin

Next time something like:
'Bro I met a guy with 10000 BTC on chat, invited him over to Betking. He swore he used my ref link but now I can't see him in my ref list. user : notfromIran Your ref system broken?'
would do. Grin

Edited.
382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer multiple deposit addresses or a permanent one on gaming sites? on: August 26, 2016, 06:31:13 PM
Yes, obviously.
If you want a permanent address, just don't use the New Address option. (Anyway I can't find a plus for the permanent deposit address yet)

I don't know why anyone would vote on No. When the question is 'would you like an option', yes is always better or same as no.

Was asked to set up this poll and hear player feedback.

Thoughts?

What is the problem? lol player not able to decide which address he should deposit to? Tongue

In Moneypot's case switching to a single deposit address is not a good idea at all. (Granted it is easier to manage) Continue as is or declutter the deposit page.
383  Other / Meta / Re: How offensive can a post be? on: August 26, 2016, 04:26:39 PM
The trick is to avoid Politics & Society. Wink

I didn't delete it but it's clearly an off topic personal attack and is only going to derail the thread.

I know there is no specific policy but if there is, are on topic personal attacks tolerated? (On threads in Meta, Reputation, Scam accusation)

What about Williams and Sharapova : it's not secret that black people are more powerful, they genes are different from white people.

BS. Black people are some of the weakest among the human races. Look at heavy-weight boxing and fighting sports such as Judo, MMA, Taekwondo.etc. There are some 2 billion blacks in this world compared to 0.5 billion whites. Still, it is the whites who dominate sports such as MMA, boxing, Judo, Karate, Fencing.etc.

You are so dumb and retarded please do something for humanities gene pool and kill yourself or atleast never procreate   Undecided

Let us analyze that:

Quote
You are so dumb and retarded

One of the most popular phrases at bitcointalk. Allowed!

Quote
please do something for humanities gene pool

A polite request for the better good! Allowed

Quote
kill yourself

Uh oh.

OgNasty said that and there is a thread.
Vod said that and there is a longer thread.

Apparently, if the comment gets popular that post won't be removed.

You should avoid saying that anyway. At the moderator's discretion

385  Economy / Gambling / Re: SPORTSBET.IO - Place where you can bet with bitcoins on: August 25, 2016, 05:57:41 PM
Sounds great to me. Regarding the second point, the player doesn't have to get a ticket based on the time he makes a bet, the list just has the be posted before the drawing takes place (preferably a few hours before), so people can verify their ticket number. While sportsbet.io could change your ticket number, there really isn't any point unless they have lucky numbers that they want their alts to have xD (assuming they have fake accounts).
Doesnt seem like there are any problems.

It is not necessary, yeah. I just added it so it will need a bit effort on their part to add fake tickets. (Not saying they do it or anything - I trust them with it, just that a 'provably fair' system should prevent it. Since it can't, make it not easy.) For example, if there are 100 participants, they can add 100 more and save 50% of the money.

Quote

I insist on at least 12 to 24 hours.

I thought of the chained winners originally, but I didn't think many people would like it. It is simpler though.

The probability is the same. Smiley I am okay with using the hash of the next block and the succeeding ones.
386  Economy / Gambling / Re: SPORTSBET.IO - Place where you can bet with bitcoins on: August 25, 2016, 04:33:32 PM
1. A block number is determined that is the closest to the time of draw (estimate) and published. The website must also contain full details on the method used to determine the winners so anyone can verify the results.
Time of draw = Date when no more entries are allowed and the full final list is published + around 24 hours.

2. Player receives a numbered ticket when he or she completes the specified action like making a bet. (Requires altering the current mechanism)
The numbering is in chronological order. First bet gets ticket 1, second gets ticket 2, and so on.

3. The player is able to view his ticket number and the UTC time at which the bet was placed.

4. The usernames of all players holding tickets to the draw (partly or fully revealed), the corresponding ticket numbers and optionally the time the bet was placed are published and updated periodically.

5. Once the specified block is mined, the last 10 characters are taken and converted from hex to decimal. <The resulting number> modulo <the total number of tickets> + 1 will determine the winner of the highest prize. Next ticket will win the next highest prize and so on (I am not sure how many will agree on this, but it has the same effect as any other method of drawing the second and other winners.)
The draw is made, the winners selected, announced and paid.

6. The block number as well as the list of usernames and ticket numbers remain published for 3 months.

Requesting someone to review this.

Note: This is not a 100% provably fair method as such is not possible. This only makes manipulations difficult, not impossible.

That is, this competition is exclusive to those who post in this thread.

Everyone is good with this method from DarkStar_?

1. Publish the list of tickets and who has which ticket, a bit before the actual draw. Make sure that tickets are numbered.
2. Wait for a specific block hash for the drawing. Once the block comes, take the last few digits of the block hash (maybe 7?) and convert it to a decimal, by using it as a hexadecimal. Next, use the number that you get and apply modulus (number of tickets - 1) to that number. You should get a number between 0 and the number of tickets, minus one. Add one to the number, and you have your first winner.  You can get the other winners in other blocks, or if that takes too long, use the last 8 digits, than 9, e.t.c repeating the entire process I just outlined.

Shouldn't you apply modulus (number of tickets)? Why - 1?
Because modulus (number of tickets) has a chance of giving a 0, so this is countered by adding one to the final result. Granted, they could just give people ticket #0, but it might cause confusion and isn't very hard just add 1.
Without -1: Range of 0 - # Of Tickets - 1
With -1: Range of 1 - # Of Tickets

Sportsbet.io, have you decided whether you are going to use multiple block hashs, more digits or a combo of both?

I agree with adding 1 to the result of modulus. I don't agree with removing 1 from number of tickets for applying modulus.

That sort of guarantees the last ticket a zero chance of winning anything.

To illustrate,
Block number : X
Number of tickets : 100

Wrong:
X % 99 gives 99 possible results from 0 to 98
Adding one to the result gives 1 to 99. (100th ticket is excluded.)

Correct:
X % 100.

Wow lots of videos templates lol
I try to make an original but lots of nice graphic from video template as you can find on many many websites.
So rule is "Content must be original and not copied from someone else"

So let's be clear Is video template allowed?

I don't know. If I am to choose, I won't certainly put one of those in the top few. It is super easy to make a good video with all the third party themes and templates and animations available.

I would like to know that too.

Just a typo. You ought to say 'get your English right'. Grammar is to do with structure of sentences and stuff as far as I know. This puts you in the same position. Grin

I have heard that accusation before.
I don't think the lottery is provably fair or it can ever be made provably fair.
Well, you really need to stop living under the rock and get your facts right.Provable/Verifiable lotteries do exists. What have you known about the RNG's ? There are more than 100 algos precisely crafted out by our so called "Mathematicians".You ought to prove all of them wrong by saying "it can ever be made fair".Do research about the RNG's,website devs can implement one of the existing algos to propose fairness.

I am sorry, I believe you are wrong there. (Advance apology. not hurting your feelings Tongue)
Not possible because you cannot verify a username is real or fake. Making this truly provably fair requires a very high level of transparency.

You can have some fancy blocks and hashes and any other thing you like, it won't make the lottery 100% provably fair.
Well something is better than nothing. Any attempt on making it better is appreciated.

I don't appreciate this kind of attitude from a DT member. It is the same as 'I think QS should leave the forum' yet you put it in a terrible way.

My thoughts are my thoughts.  Everyone knows I am a scambuster, and everyone knows that Quickseller is a scammer.

He's not "deeply disturbed" of my thoughts - he could care less what I think.  He's just trying, as usual, to get me removed from DT.   Wink

I hope I made my point.  Posts about feelings are not threats.

Let Quickseller's BLACKMAIL begin!

You absolutely don't need to post your thoughts that doesn't make anyone feel better.

I have removed Quickseller (along with Vod) from my trust list (not that it matters Grin), but I don't believe he is a scammer.
396  Economy / Reputation / Re: OgNasty: "@Lutpin: Really should kill himself." on: August 21, 2016, 06:15:42 PM
I think Quickseller really should kill himself.

Here's a man who's decent enough to straight up say it instead of causing a controversial topic like this.

Lutpin, I recommend that you take some time off to figure out what to do with your life and stop mini modding the forum, it's about Bitcoin; not spammers. You've practically done nothing for Bitcoin or its users, so why should you have the right to be on DT? Especially considering the fact that you abuse it so much.

I'm not taking the side of Lutpin, or OgNasty.   It's just the way I feel - the forum would be much better off if Quickseller would take his own life.   Undecided

But now you've done it!  Quickseller had me on ignore, so he never would have read my message (lol).  Now HE is free to start another multi page thread about how my feelings interfere with his way of life.

I don't appreciate this kind of attitude from a DT member. It is the same as 'I think QS should leave the forum' yet you put it in a terrible way.

Agreed.  Lutpin, despite what I may or may not think of you and your behavior, suggesting you kill yourself, even if being sarcastic, was not appropriate and I am sorry I made the comment.  If you killed yourself as a result of my statement, I would certainly lose sleep over it and feel a great deal of guilt.  While I tend to think people are a little too sensitive these days, my own beliefs don't excuse me from perceived threats and I'm sorry that you thought I was threatening you, I wasn't.  Rather than asking you to provide IP evidence it was me who made the comment, I've taken responsibility for my actions and apologized.  I should not have said that you should kill yourself.  I did, and I am sorry.
397  Economy / Gambling / Re: SPORTSBET.IO - Place where you can bet with bitcoins on: August 21, 2016, 02:24:44 PM
It is indeed far from the reality, so far I got around 200 mbtc of profit only from the badminton olympics game and of course my bet is not 1 mbtc otherwise I wont be able to get that amount, well he can go figure it himself that. Lotteries is not the only think that keep this sites alive, it is one of the sportsbooks that stand out quite high here
*Thing. [get your grammar right before coming up with useless lines]

This website is nothing but a scam run by BTC-Agency [Antonio] like their other grand kids,bitcasino/vegacasino.Directbet and Nitrogen sports are 1000 times better than this crap.Fooling users with fake lotteries and odds lesser than every other site in its domain.I'm about to post a long explanation why their lottery is fake and not based on the blocks as they've put it.I'm just losing my mind over the fact, how they try their best to make up stuff and convince people its all fair.

Just a typo. You ought to say 'get your English right'. Grammar is to do with structure of sentences and stuff as far as I know. This puts you in the same position. Grin

It is not about the quantity but the quality of his/her post.
Imho the quality is really bad and together with the quantity in which he/she posts makes it even worst.

TBH I find the quality to be above average. Low chance he will be banned. Grin

You are forgetting the fact that its only the lotteries that are keeping the players still attracted to site.Nothing else, honestly.

Umm, if we take that as a 'fact', all the bets in the sportsbook should be 1 mBTC bets in Olympic games? That appears quite far from reality.
