1101  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing PevPot.com The Bitcoin Lottery on: January 22, 2016, 06:15:49 PM
It reads "Draw #11 will be the last draw. Please do not deposit money after the draw ends, or sponsor further draws. =) See: bitcointalk for more details."

and Draw #12 is running Huh
1102  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟Bitvest🌟 ▌Investor Plinko▐ Changeable Rows▐ Multidrop▐ BIG Promo▐ RTP:98.3% on: January 22, 2016, 05:26:47 PM
Today the hot wallet was empty, and I requested a withdrawal. It didn't go through, so I used funds from elsewhere.

Later, I divested funds and the withdrawal that I had requested got honored (I was confused when my balance suddenly dropped),

Please add an option to cancel a withdrawal if made when the funds are empty, possibly when the request is made.
1103  Economy / Gambling / Re: 100mBTC RISK FREE BET!!! = Official VegasCasino.io thread - Viva Las Vegas Baby! on: January 22, 2016, 04:41:01 PM
if you don't give us any guarantee I propose to wait for OP and let him tell us if there are any strings attached Smiley

Why should I? lol
I can't insure your risks for free. (I don't offer any such promotions lol  Wink I can insure risks if you like for some premium or something, but I think that might be against any rules)

I am saying just because the contest seems pretty good, you don't need to get away. That said, It is good to be cautious.
A valid point is that the site is new, but not that the promotion is actually worth participating.

But since i have received the first withdrawal, I am trusting the site with the same amount.

Yes, you should wait for OP.
1104  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Plinkopot.com - Most Wagered Contest For 350,000 Bits - Now until Jan 23rd on: January 22, 2016, 04:30:12 PM
Player statistics of some players at Moneypot is less than the figures at the leader board.

Is it because some of the bets do not go to moneypot and instead plinkopot handles them?
1105  Economy / Gambling / Re: 100mBTC RISK FREE BET!!! = Official VegasCasino.io thread - Viva Las Vegas Baby! on: January 22, 2016, 02:50:05 PM
Disclaimer : I don't guarantee anything on any site, but I have participated in the risk free bet. This is just my opinion. Any risk and profit that you face or get is entirely yours.  Cool

If there isnt any string attached here then this is too good to be true

Many Most promotions running on bitcointalk are Positive EV to the player. It is done to attract players to the site.
1106  Economy / Gambling / Re: 100mBTC RISK FREE BET!!! = Official VegasCasino.io thread - Viva Las Vegas Baby! on: January 22, 2016, 01:42:05 PM

let me see if I got this risk free bet offer right. I bet 100 mBTC (0.1 BTC) on New England and in case that New England will lose this match against Denver I will get the 100 mBTC refunded and actually lost nothing?

That is 100% Correct!  Smiley

@brianlee

looking at this question and answer I don't see any rollovers or something else but I am also confused like you and would like to know if there are strings attached?

I don't think there is any. Smiley

I made a bet on Chiefs v Patriots (in the promo announced here before this one), and won it, and got the amount, withdrew it.
1107  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: ****** 2X enhanced odds on your first sports bet ****** on: January 22, 2016, 10:58:36 AM

Is the custom pay line feature available? I can't find it  Huh

No, since we used node.js for the bet streaming, a custom pay line wouldn't have made much sense.   However it is still available at classic.plinkopot.com

Would wagering at the classic plinkopot count towards the contest?

1116  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Bitonic has sold over 200 000 bitcoins. Today Puzzle part V! on: January 13, 2016, 06:22:26 PM
This was how to arrive at the solution:

1. Put the four OP codes in the order they would have in a standard transaction, this gives a txid.
2. Use the amount of btc sent in this transaction to assign a number to each dot in the grid.

At least I was on the right track lol till dots and 21387645 order. I never figured out which cipher this one is. Sad

So xah4ooDei5cha1thohxanoon and HODL means nothing? lol I spent too much time on the former. xD
Clever puzzle, though I'd've preferred it with a hint on which cipher to use. Grin

Congratulations to the winner!
1117  Economy / Gambling / Re: HYIP = Gambling on: January 13, 2016, 07:16:39 AM
Too many differences.

HYIP - Ponzi disguised as an investment scheme.
Generally, the money goes from the last investors to the first investors wile a huge chunk goes to the greedy guy operating it and there are HYIPs that never paid out anyone. Generally ambiguous, and biased. Not provably fair, not even fair, admin can do whatever he wants.
High return, Insanely high risk.

Gambling (limited to honest, trusted sites)
You know the risk, you know the payout. The house has an edge over the player which is made transparent. Provably fair.
Any risk, equivalent return.
1118  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PrimeDice is scamming people, watch out! on: January 13, 2016, 06:55:32 AM
Basically, those who gamble are sick people

You fall into the "sick" category, then?
Sorry that you lost too much, but you haven't done enough research or provided enough evidence for the accusation. You are junking the entire concept of provably fair (which is designed to make rigging impossible at least as long as the players verify his/her rolls) in a sentence.

Quote
I'm sure you wrote the same about 999dice and other sites before they were shut down.
999dice isn't shut down, but it is a scam alright. Smiley
999dice does not have a proper provably fair system, but PD and many other sites do.

Quote
The same rule applies - you believe there's a conspiracy of those who lost and they're trying to discredit this great legit company,..

If rolls are rigged, you can prove it. Or you can find a loophole in the provably fair system. But you couldn't do both.

Quote
You really care about every bullshit you read on the internet and reply to it so extensively?

Yeah  Grin It is entertaining.  Wink

tl;dr you very badly needs to know how provably fair system works.
