why payouts not working for drk?

I'm releasing payouts manually every few hours. After last Hard fork mess, I want to be sure we are on proper blockchain.

We are waiting for Hard fork stopping masternodes payments:

Based on the post 11 minutes later by eduffield, didn't the fork go into effect already? https://darkcointalk.org/threads/fork-to-stop-masternode-payments.883/#post-5321

Indeed. Sadly, This morning I didn't have much time for fighting DRK forks.

I updated pool's drk wallet.

DRK pool is up and running again.

I updated client to patched version. Pool is up and running.

FYI

DarkCoin forked again an hour ago.
I had to shut down DRK pool. We were certainly on wrong fork. I'm waiting for patch which will solve this issue.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] ---- Coinotron ---- Registrations are open on: May 26, 2014, 03:31:16 PM

Today, 26 May 2014 Darkcoin pool was mining for 6 hours on forked chain. As a result over 100 blocks were orphaned. We updated pool's wallet to the newest version 0.9.4.8 yesterday. Everything worked fine. Pool was on proper chain until about 7:20 UTC. Then DRK block chain forked. I asked DarkCoin developer to investigate this issue.

I would like to compensate miners their lost time. For next 5 days mining in DRK pool will be free.

FYI

Our Darkcoin pool was on wrong fork for last 6 hours. I updated pool wallet yesterday to the newest version 0.9.4.8. I got second wallet with the same client - it stayed on proper fork. I will send details of this issue to DarkCoin developer.

@Coinotron
Pls consider lowering minimum payout for Darkcoin to something like 0.5 DRK. We are hitting very high diff's and for small miners could take days to get a coin.

Thank you.

Done.
Min. DRK payout is now 0.1 DRK  ( when amount is < 0.5 DRK, there is additional withdrawal fee = 0.01 DRK)

Currently ca. 35%

Coinotron,

Thank you for mitigating the issue, I appreciate it.

Yse, same TheMage from LTC forums.

Hi

I never thought that I will have to negotiate with miners to transfer part of their hashrate to the other pools Smiley
Like I said it before. My goal is to be under 40% of LTC network.

Anyway, to not derail this thread too much more: coinotron if you need help just let us know.

Thanks, I will.

Our hashrate dropped by almost 20% ( from 115 to 93 GH/s )

I'm fixing it right now. But it is not so easy as you think.

Yes, it is...you just don't like the idea that you have to give up all that fee income. You have total control over who mines on your pool.

Right now, you are RAKING IN the fee income and I understand that you are not highly motivated to solve the issue, as a result. But the bad PR you are earning for Coinotron by dragging your feet is going to come back to haunt you as these ASIC systems start to proliferate outside of China and people have the name "Coinotron" burned into their heads as the pool NOT to support. That goodwill that you feel you've built since 2011 is evaporating, fast.

You have not even engaged a TEMPORARY halt to new registrations. You haven't even been willing to go THAT far. That's ridiculous.

Sadly I cannot halt new registrations without harming other pools ( DOGE, VTC, DRK etc.)
I'm doing my best, trying to convince big LTC miners to diverse their hashrate.
My only fault is that I didn't believe Coinotron will get 50% of LTC network.
Now I'm working, not sleeping.

are you trying to ruin the LTC network?

No, I'm not trying to ruin LTC. It would be financial suicide !

to be fair as a pool op myself. i do think you guys are being harsh on him. The best solution for coinotron to do is to massively up the fees. This would stop people from mining on there making the hashrate fall near instantly. (Ive been in that situation on various alts and that was the only solution that worked)

My situation is quite different. Currently there are 2-3 big miners atm on Coinotron. Right now I'm talking to the biggest one. He promised to switch part of his hashrate either to doge pool or to other LTC pools in few hours. My goal is to bring down Coinotron's hashrate to about 40% which should be win-win solution for my pool and network security.

The thing is, most of these users are not going to budge unless you do something, because they will all just sit on their hands waiting for "the other guy" to move to another pool. People are complacent.

Your pool is STILL at 51% so your "kind requests" are falling on deaf ears. Those users are splitting their hashrate, all right...they're just doing it into other Coinotron accounts. They aren't leaving the Litecoin pool.

FIX IT.

I have contacted with our biggest miners. We are working on solution to mitigate risk of Coinotron's hashrate raising over 50% of LTC network hashrate.

Is it possible to add XPM?
There is more and more GPU miners interested in Primecoin.

In contrast to many other cryptocurrencies interest and difficulty constantly growing.

Sadly my backend software is not prepared to support Primecoin.

Is there a lot of work to "upgrade" it to support Primecoin?
In another thread there is a discussion about the open source server and miner. They were both released a week or two ago.
I think that Primecoin Community would like to see a serious Pool as yours which supports XPM mining.

GPU mining for XPM is a very fresh topic. There is a big chance that this coin will be chosen by majority of GPU miners and because of this it is a great opportunity for "GPU Pools".

I don't know but I bet it is not trivial. I'm using custom pool software so I cannot just use open source pool backend.
