I'm happy to see DRK added on Coinotron. It'a great thing for the pool, miners and the coin itself   Smiley

Back to the point, you still, should have some way of just asking for a cashout option without having to send one an email, ASKING if they can cash out. I shouldn't have to ask permission to get my coins. No matter how measley the sum.

I never need anyone's permission to stop mining. I just turn my machines off.
No. Wrong. Minimum payout in nesessary. I dont have time to explain you why.
You shouldn't have to ask permission to get your coins as long its a minimum withdraw amount. The truth is you dont know what minimum is.
They wont steal your coins and you will not mine LTC in 30 days with GPU because diff will be 10000+.

Send a mail and stop bitching about it. It would took you less time to send mail than to write that post. Coinotron probably gave you your coins already and what do you want now?

I never need anyone's permission to stop mining. I just turn my machines off.

@cabinetmaker

Recently I introduced two new coins: Vertcoin and DarkCoin. They should be ASIC resilient for at least several months. You can try mining them.

Regarding lack of "cash out" button and whole procedure of cashing out. Sadly, currently I have no time to simplify it.

Is it possible to add XPM?
There is more and more GPU miners interested in Primecoin.

In contrast to many other cryptocurrencies interest and difficulty constantly growing.

It appears that both the front end and part of the backend is down.

Miners already active, appear to still be mining, however, if you start and stop one, it won't find the pool.

Is there a lot of work to "upgrade" it to support Primecoin?
In another thread there is a discussion about the open source server and miner. They were both released a week or two ago.
I think that Primecoin Community would like to see a serious Pool as yours which supports XPM mining.

GPU mining for XPM is a very fresh topic. There is a big chance that this coin will be chosen by majority of GPU miners and because of this it is a great opportunity for "GPU Pools".

I don't know but I bet it is not trivial. I'm using custom pool software so I cannot just use open source pool backend.

Anyone noticed Coinotron is 47% of the network
I am not sure what this means but I think I have heard about the
same thing on Bitcoin and was alarming is this a bad situation
I know its technical but do I have to worry about pointing my miners
to Coinotron

Seriously, Coinotron needs to get their situation in check. They have some gigantic Chinese hashrate coming in right now due to the new ASICs and are not doing anything to throttle back their percentage. They are really inviting the DDOSers right now.

Leave this pool, miners. There are many great fee-less LTC pools out there.

FYI
I have contacted with our biggest miners. We are working on solution to mitigate risk of Coinotron's hashrate raising over 50% of LTC network hashrate.

You should be attempting to mitigate it to no more than 40% of the network, especially during this tricky period of time as ASICs start deploying, worldwide. The impact of those coming online can quickly push you well over 50% if you are already close. Be responsible or your greed will cost EVERYONE.

Just sending an email to a couple of miners is not enough. Either raise fees to 50%, or simply turn off the server until they move. Either way you will save the coin. Do nothing and all of Litecoin will be lost because of your incompetence.

If he turns the pool off he could say goodbye to all miners. Closing registration wont do anything.
There are other solutions. Some of you wouldn't like any of the solutions but something need's to be done.

YOU HAVE OVER 50% RIGHT NOW.

FIX IT.

And on a side note, why in the world is every Tom, Dick and Harry with new ASICs deploying them at Coinotron instead of other pools?

Yeah, why? You cant stop anybody to mine on coinotron, that is the problem. Few miners should migrate on other pools.

If you care about the health of the Litecoin network and you see how irresponsibly Coinotron is handling itself as a major pool operator, you should feel very motivated to switch to one of the many other great pools (many with NO FEES) and leave this clown show behind.

Any pool that will allow itself to get 51% of the network hashrate of a coin without doing something to stop it early is NOT a pool that anyone should support, whatsoever.
