I be honest .......I like you guys. I like being here

I am currently hodling btc and bch. I have no loyalty to either and I am pretty confused by it all.

My situation is hodl and see what happens. You all arguing is a pain in the ass.

All I want is to profit later down the line.

Bitcoin is far more vulnerable to economic warfare than metals are, and anyone who denies it is 100% lying.  This is why you need to be a complete fool if you haven't figured out the only way the bitcoin price can go up is if the government specifically sanctions to allow it, because it's ridiculously easy to kill it via shorts from the ESF.  The government (aka bankers) are allowing it to go up because they want you to buy this imaginary asset and not gold or silver.  You are being herded like dumb cattle out of real wealth and into imaginary wealth that can vaporize at any second.

Feels just like someone in the early 20th century preaching to people not to abandon their horses - horse will always be more useful than these new automobiles.

Email? Sending a letter through cyberspace? No way that will beat sending a letter though the post. I'll keep posting everything thanks.

If it's cheap like how it was last year at 600$ i would surely be a member of the 10 bitcoin club. It's kind off sad to see that if i had bought more bitcoin i would have got profit now or sad to see all these newbies waiting for the price to drop but always the opposite ends up happening. Altcoins is the only hope left

Why didn't you buy as many as you could? Did you think it would stay low forever?

This is once in a lifetime.

Wait till these guys start buying with at least 5 percent of their fortunes
https://www.forbes.com/billionaires/list/#version:static

It will be impossible for them to acquire without increasing the price by tens of thousands of $

It's just the beginning

I wish they'd bloody get on with it

ATH and JJG is quiet.

Worrying.

So..... where are we heading when the inevitable correction happens?

Where will it settle?

Thoughts?

$3690 is a 1.618 Fibonacci extension a logical price for a pause or profit taking.

I'm ignorant. From $2280? Why?

Hope this helps. Fibonacci extensions drawn from most recent swing high to swing low.

https://bitcoinnewsmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/dailyfibextensions.png

Thanks. So the calculation is based upon 0.5 being the halfway point between the local high and the local low?

Subtract the price at swing low $1830 from previous swing high $2980 to get $1150. Multiply $1150 by 1.618 to get $1860.7. Add that $1860.7 to the $1830 low to get the 1.618 first Fibonacci extension of $3690.7 then repeat for the higher extensions.

I should have paid more attention at school. Wow

Still haven't got hold of my BiTCH coins. Need to import my private keys from paper wallet. I hope it doesn't go to zero by then.

I'm in the same situation but I wouldn't panic. I am confident the BCH team will attempt a big pump at some point. May that be a week or a year, who knows. Just keep an eye on it. I think as long as you are ready to split and send to an exchange to trade then it's all good.

No hurry for me. I may have missed out on the decent price of BCH but I personally think it'll be pumped again at some stage.

If you don't mind I'd like to ask you all a few serious questions.

1. When is "moon" for you guys? Everyone has their own "moon" value.

2. When your "moon" figure has been achieved how will you sell a large amount of coins or will you always keep bitcoin?

3. Will you always keep a portion of your stash and never convert to fiat?

Thanks and happy ATH friends.

... $3200, where the fux is adam?

What next, $32,000?

Isn't Adam now a BCH man?

Edit.

Told you all we'd have a weekend dump. Any other further predictions needed you know where I am.

I've heard the SEC is going to approve Bitcoin cash ETF this year.
392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 04, 2017, 07:42:54 PM
I currently have 15 Bitcoins.  They are held here:

5 on Coinbase
5 on Blockchain.info wallet
5 in Cold Storage

It seems I will get 5 BCH from Coinbase on 1/1/18 but will I be getting 10 more BCH from my other two methods of securing the other 10 BTC?

Definitely 5 more from cold storage

Good morning Bitcoinland.

The price keeps creeping upward... currently $2870USD (Bitcoinaverage). There's no sign of it losing any value from the hard fork.

Let's see what happens when segwit clears out the mempool. Moon launch?

Let's also see what happens when the AltCash difficulty drops enough for transactions to move at a practical pace. Dump to oblivion?
______

Speaking of AltCash, isn't it time to come to an agreement regarding its ticker designation?

BTC is already well established for Bitcoin. I always thought BCC referred to Bitcoin Core, as compared to BCU for Bitcoin Unlimited.

BCH seems the obvious choice for the altcoin "Bitcoin" Cash. Can't we all just go with that?

Coinmarketcap says BCH so to me it's BCH

I'm not excited yet. Seen this before.

Friday pumpy, weekend dumpy.

But of course I'm still bullish!

Edit. To be honest we need to go up a lot more before I class this as a pump. % terms this is nothing

Look at you.....  Shocked Shocked Shocked

Grumpy.

This price movement is bullish as fuck.

I was hoping that we would not get to ATH until the end of the month, but looks like within the next 12 hours, perhaps?

And, pump does not necessarily mean a dump, and even if there is a dump, we still be good.

I had been kind of thinking a correction to $2400 or so would be reasonable, but we barely reached $2600s, and then back up again... My gosh.. the honey badger doesn't wanna take a bit of a breather..   Huh    Cry

Grumpy?

Yeah ok, I will accept that one. Maybe I was just having a bad morning.

Come on bitcoin, about time your smashed the 3k mark! Stop pissing around.

The community doesn't realize yet it has been besieged.
I think most people involved in BTC (the community) do realize this is an attack. I, for one, do.
A siege, though, is not a generic attack. It involves being starved by the enemy outside, which can't happen as long as we keep our provisions (BTC) - that is, if we don't trade BTC for BCH.

I am convinced that the value of BCH will vanish soon, unless it is artificially (and expensively) pumped from the BCH side. Which they are welcome to do, as far as I'm concerned. I'm going to trade my BCH back into BTC if I see steady rates in the order of 0.3-0.5 BCH/BTC.

I dont expect it to come back to 0.3-0.5 rate ever. Upcoming days BCH will drop in value drasticly. At the moment of speaking BCH is already down to 275 Euro on Kraken.

Get a decent price for em while you still can....

Thanks for your suggestion, HanvanBitcoin. I see what you mean and it's reasonable.

However, I've thought a bit about it. I need to set up an account and move all my coins to new addresses before I can actually sell. For the time being, I like to consider my hedl BCH as an insurance on the unlikely black swan of BTC losing value as the real chain. And I'm waiting for a possible pump in November. Deferred rewards and all that.

I've decided to do exactly the same d_eddie

I don't think I can handle more ETF hype and then another "sorry, no"
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why bash Bitcoin Cash? It might be the future of Bitcoin. on: August 03, 2017, 05:45:10 PM
Just look at how bitcoincash's marketcap is decreasing in last few days or even hours, this shows how much price can dump in near future. This is not just because people have got so much free BCC but also because not many miners support this forked coin so mining BCC is much easier than mining bitcoin so price of BCC will remain under 10% of BTC price in long term.

Bitcoincash can't be future of bitcoin, there will be no any block size issue when lightening network will be activated after segwit on bitcoin.

When is lightning scheduled to be implemented?

Infofront how about a poll for price after segwit activation? Any good or not a long enough timeframe?
