381  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-10-08] BTCUSD Price Technical Analysis – Ready to Break Out? on: August 10, 2016, 03:38:09 AM
BTCUSD has formed lower highs and found support at $585, creating a symmetrical triangle on its short-term time frames. Since this comes after a strong rally, though, it could be considered a continuation flag signal, pending an upside breakout.

The 100 SMA is above the 200 SMA on this time frame, confirming that further gains are possible. However, the gap between the moving averages is narrowing so a downward crossover could take place, letting sellers take the upper hand. If so, BTCUSD could drop towards the next visible support at $562.50.

Both RSI and stochastic are on middle ground, barely offering strong directional clues. It’s worth noting, however, that stochastic and RSI appear to be on their way lower, reflecting a bit of bearish pressure. On the other hand, an upside breakout could lead to a test of the triangle top near $600.

There’s not much in the way of US economic data these days, although traders seem to be booking profits after the upbeat NFP release. Other jobs indicators haven’t indicated as much upside pressure on hiring or wages, downplaying hopes of a Fed rate hike for September.

The US is set to print its retail sales figures on Friday and strong data could spur more gains for the dollar against bitcoin. Weak data, on the other hand, could lead to an upside breakout for BTCUSD. Analysts are expecting a 0.4% increase in headline retail sales and a 0.2% gain in core retail sales, slower than the gains posted in the previous month.

As for bitcoin, the selloff from the Hong Kong Bitfinex hack seems to have boiled over and traders are still booking profits off their short positions. Investors may also be reestablishing their long biases as central banks are adopting an easy money policy, leading them to seek higher returns elsewhere.

for me the best way to explain bitcoin to women is to explain that bitcoin can be used to purchase goods every day.
with it, women will be increasingly keen to use bitcoin.

but we must give our wife somthing maybe the pure gold ring, then we introduce it to instal bitcoin wallet and send 1bitcoin to him wallet:Smiley
383  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: August 10, 2016, 03:32:58 AM
sad but paper money can not develop much their main problems are the durability of their money and continiously printing more and more money which is normally reducing their currency value

agree with you, printing money make the value decrease each year.
bitcoin is the solution for fiat problem, limited supply full decentralization because not only goverment who can print money (read: minng bitcoin).

385  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: August 10, 2016, 02:52:18 AM
I already heard bitcoin last year but I have no interest as I do not know the value or the price it have.  I have no interest then because of unfamiliarity and no one of my friends know about it.  Then when I am started to join an online job, one of my group mate shares about it and still reluctant.  Because he said that it is hard to earn those coins because you need to open your computer all day long.  But when I joined another group that earns money through games and applications and they are knowledgeable with the coin bitcoin, I am curious.  Since then I started to do some captcha typing, posting, and investing to earn more bitcoins. Cheesy

im very lucky because iam start earning bitcoin arround middle 2014, my total earning arround $10.000, but i get bad experience with trading and some of my bitcoin get hacked. i lost arround 10bitcoin until my first time know bitcoin.
386  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-08-10] Is California Set to Get Its Own BitLicense? on: August 10, 2016, 01:51:48 AM
California is set to follow New York’s lead, but the Bitcoin Foundation wants to stop the state from getting its own version of the BitLicense.

The California Bitcoin License bill designated as AB1326 has undergone several changes in the assembly and senate since it was first introduced last year. It is now awaiting a second reading by Senate.

Opponents of the bill, however, claim that the language of it has the potential to reduce California’s capability of supporting digital currency startups in the state.

Bitcoin Foundation Education Committee chair Colin Gallagher is one opponent who has called on people to sign a petition opposing the bill after writing on a forum today stating that the new version of the bill is ‘even worse than before.’

387  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-08-09] Is Blockchain-Powered Copyright Protection Possible? on: August 09, 2016, 04:38:10 PM
The many uses and proposed uses for blockchain technology include smart contracts, decentralized payment systems, insurance claims, supply chain management, health records management, land title registration, energy grid management and now protection from copyright infringement.

Websites like Blockai, Pixsy, TinEye, Ascribe, Mediachain and Proof of Existence promise to use blockchain technology to register and protect against copyright infringement. They understand that a public decentralized ledger like the blockchain is ideal for cataloging and storing original works of art, documents, manuscripts, photographs and images, away from any central authority.

388  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin replaces the money? Could happen? on: August 09, 2016, 04:35:40 PM
Now in some places to buy goods directly can use bitcoin, how to conduct transactions directly using bitcoin? Because I place no purchases using bitcoin.

Nowadays has developed, which initially buy goods directly can only be used with the currency and credit cards, and can now use bitcoin although only in some places. Is it possible that the next few years means of exchange for transactions money initially turned into bitcoin?

What do you think about this?

i think bitcoin will replace old money system, because the bitcoin rate growing each year, and more newbie join everyday to know about bitcoin.

in fact bitcoin have value, and im sure in future bitcoin can be 1st international currency
389  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: August 09, 2016, 04:30:30 PM
I think by mining altcoin on a trusted site, the new altcoin will be trading at pair btc then we can growing our bitcoin,or maybe we can invest at reliable websites and others. that way we can be rich with bitcoin.
390  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: August 09, 2016, 04:24:52 PM
I will only buy when bitcoin prices fall , because it is a good opportunity to save bitcoin in large numbers and I'll sell when the price rising again.
391  Economy / Speculation / Re: Value of Bitcoin at end of 2016, beginning of 2017 ::: Predictions? on: August 09, 2016, 04:23:27 PM
I think the value of bitcoin in late 2016 or early 2017 will increase rather than the value of bitcoin now, it is my prediction because in previous years the value of bitcoin will rise at the end or beginning of the year.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do bitcoin accepted in your country? on: August 09, 2016, 04:23:07 PM
in my country, government does not know nothing about bitcoin or how it works so I believe it is not officially legal nor illegal yet.
there are also few bitcoin traders I can sell to them

are you sure about it? no regulation for digital currency?
i think each goverment know about bitcoin, but most of them see bitcoin just for digital asset no more.
393  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-08-09] Bitcoin Core Ramps up Efforts to Compete with ETH on: August 09, 2016, 04:20:55 PM
The event is organized by Chaincode Labs, “a New York City-based research and development group that explores cryptocurrencies and other peer-to-peer decentralized systems” according to their website.

The lab is further hiring 4-6 developers to work on bitcoin’s protocol and development to address the lack of new entrants to the bitcoin development space since 2013. Speaking to Bitcoin Magazine, Corallo stated:

There are a ton of Bitcoin developers who have never contributed to Bitcoin Core, or to low protocol development — lots of them because they feel ill-equipped to do so — for instance because the idea of going through a rigorous review like we have to do sounds really daunting. So we’re looking for those people to really learn how that works, and come to think about the issues.

394  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-08-09] The Next Generation of Open Source Blockchains on: August 09, 2016, 03:38:49 PM
Never before has any open source project generated as much attention on the international stage as Bitcoin.

But Bitcoin, a cryptocurrency platform void of allegiance to any nation or financial institution, is just the first of an expanding and more sophisticated class of open source blockchains expected to revolutionize the exchange of all digital assets -- money, real estate, music and intellectual property --  in future commerce.

The Bitcoin Foundation continues to develop its peer-to-peer payment network under an MIT license. The value of Bitcoins has fluctuated up and down, and while some naysayers have already pronounced its death, backers saw an upswing after Brexit.

395  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: August 09, 2016, 02:50:32 PM
If it gives a good assurance for a good source of income then why not, but as of you know bitcoin after a stable job then as should say that maybe bitcoin is a part of mysideline job .But if in long run if it gives you more than your stable job, then maybe I will stay focus on bitcoin and quit for my day job.

if you can get salary from both of them why not?
i think we can use bitcoin as assurance investment for retirement day, then use real salary from daily cost and needs.
396  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to sell? Or to buy? on: August 09, 2016, 02:48:42 PM
What do you guys think?
Since the price keeps going lower the whole day.

Also why is it going lower ?

I think this is the right time to buy bitcoin in large numbers because the current bitcoin prices are down, why it could happen because of a few days ago loss of approximately 115 bitcoin on a particular site.
397  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: August 09, 2016, 02:47:28 PM
Bitcoin can make a 30% gain a day, gold needs months to make 30% gains. Bitcoin can get you rich overnight and gold will never make you rich during your lifetime.

don't forget bitcoin can fail more than 50% in 1 day too. i think we can't only choosing bitcoin for future investment, gold is older than bitcoin, and survive more than 1000years Roll Eyes
398  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-08-09]The $65 million Bitfinex hack shows that it is impossible....... on: August 09, 2016, 02:15:12 PM
The $65 million Bitfinex hack shows that it is impossible to tell a good bitcoin company from a bad one

Bitcoin suffered yet another blow last week when Bitfinex, one of the cryptocurrency’s largest exchanges, suffered a hack that cost its users about $65 million. Every one of its investors saw their funds suddenly drop by 36%, as the company decided to “socialize” the losses.
The source of the security breach remains unconfirmed, as Bitfinex continues to work with “authorities” (it’s not clear which ones) to pinpoint what happened. But the details of the hack aren’t its only mystery. Burnt traders are now struggling to figure out something even more basic—who exactly is behind Bitfinex and where are those people located?

399  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: August 09, 2016, 09:16:45 AM
If you are the person with high patience, try to save it and make it as a long term. But if you want cash already, sell it. Keeping it as a long term will make your bitcoin grow larger. Because bitcoin is now rising and everytime there is a halving event, bitcoin price rise upto 20%. So for me, I would rather go with long term rather than selling it already.

save is not easy, im miner, i need fast money for buy new hardware again, then i choose to sell my altcoin in any rate, after my earning enough to buying new vga i withdraw my bitcoin.
