Once the pool has updated their client and so have most of the other users to the new version, then everything will start syncing up.

Might have to wait for the pool to update aswell. The seed node is upto date. Just the pool to update the client now and things will get back to normal with the block reward drop in place.

Might need to read the post above, as I have updated the client, as I know transaction fee's will not be enough alone.

OK, just trying to see if I can keep the old blockchain running with this newly named client, OP updated with my current synced Communitycoin blockchain.

Replace or delete the current Communitycoin folder in your appdata folder.

I am on the case and looking into this one. Don't want to end up killing Crimecoin with Communitycoin.

Thank you for the comment. I am going to look into many ways in which this coin can help the community, both with services and more.

There is no exchange, not hint of this getting on an exchange. Just quiet a few people mining it, a few users requesting on certain forums for it to be added and also added on any new exchange that might pop up.

This coin is very much in the grey zone when it comes to value.

It could end up on an exchange next week or in 6 months.

All I can do is develop it, fix problems, support the network and promote it, the rest is down to the exchanges.

Version 1.1 of this coin which will be getting released in the coming weeks, will address issues and bring about some very interesting changes.

If the Dev's don't mine or use their own product then how can they expect others too?

If I was mining on a pool and I saw a Dev mining on there too, that would give me confidence it the fact that they not only develop the coin but like it and want to support its network.

All Dev's should mine their own coin, its their network and they are supporting it with even just a little bit of hashing power. And the returns from mining can be used in giveaway and such.

Important

Before you run the new CTC client or replace your current Crimecoin client download this current blockchain, complete with conf and then run the client, move this folder into your roaming appdata, overwriting or deleting the current one.

Then if you have had Crimecoin installed before, move that wallet.dat into this new Communitycoin folder, so your coins can move across to the newly named client.

If you do this correctly, the client will run fine and on the same blockchain, if you don't it will flag up an error.

This will also enable users that have never run Crimecoin before be able to use Communitycoin. This is a workaround to keep the Crimecoin blockchain running and all your coins safe.

I have taken some advice and Crimecoin is now going to be called CommunityCoin.

I chose the name as it is a coin for the Crypto Community but also to help communities in general. Keeps the coin more or less on theme.

The website will be http://www.communitycoin.org and should be up and running in a couple of days.

A new client release will be out in around the same time scale and a seperate [ANN] will be started and then this thread locked.

So with the name sorted, is anyone will be give an Icon a go for this?

I will be a bounty in Communitycoin's (Crimecoin) for it.

There are enough coins to choose from and one major Alt-coin exchange cannot host them all. So more exchanges are needed to add the other coins not listed or even being considered.

For this I once again turn to the community, as I think at this moment, this is a community coin and not a developer controlled one, at least not directly.

This might seem strange that the developer of Extremecoin wants to buy some of the coin he released but like I said at the start, I don't believe in having a pre-mine on any of my released coins.

Right now I cannot mine them, do to my rigs doing something else so I would like to buy some.

I am willing to spend 1 BTC.
