Congratulations first timer who got scared and ran away with 641 naira  Grin.

Probably you had total of 7 odds to give you that potential winning amount of 7433.37 naira with your staking of 1,000 Naira. Experienced player would have allowed the game go on and maximize his profit afterall the risk isn't high.

And some other gambler would have gone for more risk by adding to their bankroll.

So it is just different for different player but a bet that is cashed out might have gone ahead to win all or might have also been a total lost, it is two ways. It is about the decision we want to take

383  Economy / Economics / Re: Church Business on: March 29, 2024, 03:10:13 PM

Infact the rate at which GOD is calling people into the ministry is what gave me concerned as I have been waiting for the same call but is not forth coming,

If you are interested in the church things, you can call yourself like some pastors have also done  Grin then you go into the church business and start doing what they are doing but remember there are repercussions to what we do including deceiving the people .

Guys let discuss what do you think about this, are these pastor's really being called or they are just looking for a way out of economic hardship

Church is in the class of non profit organization but what we see these days especially in Africa has really left someone to a big surprise. Church is now run as a profit organization but its dividend is not shared among the people but just a few or only the pastor who decides who to bring in or not. The pastor who is seen as the owner of the church takes all and that is why you see them living luxury life style and riding on jets. Even the schools owned by churches that are suppose to cater for the education of the downtrodden in the church isn't doing that. Schools that are owned by churches are quite expensive and when all these profits are gathered from all the church businesses like a profit making organizations, it is not shared among members but just the pastor, of course that is why some glutton runs into owning a church.

384  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Wealth is not backward compatible. Those who can hold Bitcoin are inherently wea on: March 29, 2024, 02:21:00 PM
Most of the people who can hold Bitcoin are people who have some assets in their hands. For poor people, it is really not easy to access this circle. .

I don't believe this to be true. It is easier now to be rich than in the past. Many poor people will claim to riches at the end of this halving bull. It will take effort of perseverance to invest in a profitable project not necessarily bitcoin.

After all, wealth is really not easy to flow into the hands of ordinary people.

No one should give up hope that wealth is not easy to flow into ordinary people's hand. Your plans sees you through and like they say "he who doesn't plan has already plan to fail". So you don't only hodl bitcoin, if you can't afford it you can try hodling some altcoins, surely they will also increase during the bull run proper.
385  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Balancing digitalization and on-site jobs on: March 29, 2024, 01:26:16 PM

Our agricultural sector use to be one of the most viable sector that boasted our economy in the past but since the advent of crude oil and the evolution into this digital age, most youth have lost interest in the agricultural sector especially those from the southern part of the country.

Wetin government don really do to make people go into farming. See no be only southern part but the country agricultural imput to GDP don drop and that na because of insecurity. People for Northern part don comot mind for agriculture because of the fear of being killed or kidnapped, so na general thing and na government never dey serious to help agriculture.

Agriculture na still big business, e some part of it wey no even get stress self like if you dey plant plantain, that one you no need even to do grass removing plantain go just dey grow by it self with your little effort on top am you don get enough cash be that only if you get land. For Cameroon till date, plantain na big source of income for their government and individuals.

So na as government take focus on oil make dem no dey focus on other areas of generating income and that one too make young people follow de way.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been kicked out of a casino? on: March 29, 2024, 11:47:21 AM
Hi community,

Have you been in this situation before?
It's a pleasure to hear your story.

None of those have I been through both online and off line. In offline gambling shop, if you are a responsible gambler you don't face any of such embarrassing moment because you follow the rules and make sure that you pay for the games you are betting on even if you have lost all you have, you must know how to communicate with the agent to explain and then they will collect your phone or other belongings until you come back to redeem them. So it is about gambling responsibly and not to over bet and then everyone is fine .

However, I have witnessed a player being embarrassed by security men after the gambler didn't want to drop his belongings to take care of his debt after he lost all his money on visual soccer. He didn't manage the situation well because of the anger and pain of losing too much, so that led to the embarrassment for him and he was forced to relinquish his phone for his debt.
387  Economy / Gambling / Re: does betonline.com send an sms when you sign up? on: March 29, 2024, 11:26:20 AM
does betonline.com send an sms when you sign up?

Usually all things being equal and good, when signing up to a website casino you should get a notification sms through your number or email depending on your means of first level identification.

Do they keep your money if they find out you use vpn?

Don't waste your time gambling in any site that has restricted your country from playing with them. Worse of is if you use VPN to bypass their restrictions and win big, you can't do verification,  it will be painful to you because you can't get your money since you have violated their rules.
388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does prediction in sport work for you? on: March 28, 2024, 08:29:37 PM

If you are interested in gambling on sports, do you rely on prediction betting sites? Why?

Sports is a game that you can watch and understand easily especially football and so there is really no need to be relying on tips from websites because they themselves have guess to do and just like an individual has few games that you think can be successful so also they too do, but because they are paid group and appearing like professionals people get to patronize them.

I think those gamblers who are multiple bettors are mostly concern about the betting sites as they will need some support on some games but if you bet very few games you can do your analysis by yourself.

What is the most prominent site you rely on?

I initially used few but after realizing that they are equally not perfect then I had to go back to my ability to analyze myself. It is good to do personal analysis and by that you learn more about the teams instead of picking calls that is just thrown up at random and few succeed of which if you are unlucky to go with the wrong games you have lost out. So to do your analysis is better than to follow call groups because they are also not perfect in their call.
389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does affilate programs work in casinos? on: March 28, 2024, 03:48:33 PM
I think it is as you know it already from other sectors as you mentioned. Affiliate is what it is, you have the opportunity to market the company using either code or link and when that link is clicked it takes you to the website for sign up. So you get benefit from the company depending on how many people that use the link to successfully register under you. It is a normal process that you know.
390  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Regulation of price by the government on: March 28, 2024, 02:11:22 PM

If you go to 4 different stores you will find out that it different prices.
If our government should look into this price of a thing.

Na true wey you talk and government really need to do something about am now as dem don dey try push the exchange rate down by fire by force  Grin but make we see whether dem go fit sustain am. Although the truth be say the exchange rate wey reduce no go make all the price of products just come down like that as if the country don better because e never better. And also, traders go say dem still dey sell old stock but trust naija people, everyone want to take opportunity when dem see am so the prices of products no go just jump down like that.

But if to say na fuel wey drop now, the price go dey reduce by now. If government dey sincere about to better the life of people make dem touch infrastructure and do electricity at least steady for a reasonable time then businesses go flourish. However, make them rejuvenate the price control monitor team or patrol. If business people hear even for radio say government want enter street begin catch people wey dey say at high price, dem go immediately begin change to moderate price but for now wey government never show concern, people go dey sell as dem want with the excuse of old stock.
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my gambling life started. on: March 28, 2024, 01:21:03 PM

But gambling with friends and family may not be a good approach I will rather gamble on an online casino rather than visiting a physical casinos with family or friend.

I think it is more of a juvenile thing to visit physical gambling shop with family members. You can see the young people who do that most times with family members but those who are quite old gamble on their own separately especially where the family isn't a gambling home. Where the parents are not gamblers the siblings would not freely go out to gamble together because their parents would ask there whereabout and in fact, in such homes you will find very few of the siblings who gamble because they won't be use to it if the father is not a gambler.

But certainly, more gamblers gamble with friends and they seek analysis from themselves.
392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How about your experience in taking part in the same bet with friends? on: March 28, 2024, 11:19:00 AM

Have any of you had any such feelings?

Having such consolation is inconsequential. When you bet and lose, it is your money that is lost and not that of your friends despite betting same game but you are losing your money. I understand the feeling of having to lose with someone but you are not sharing the loses so you also have a secret or public remorse of losing like you gambled alone.

Is there less human pressure if gambling is conducted in the same place with friends?

True to the fact that everyone knows that they had effort towards winning and if it doesn't happen that way then no one is blamed. However, not many gamblers like to join effort to gamble same game exactly. Sometimes, a friend can change his own portion of the game in between either by adding or removing a game and at the end either it causes the losing for that gambler or makes him more profit to the envy of the other gambler who didn't add or included any other game.
393  Economy / Speculation / Re: My instincts on the value of bitcoin from now to halving on: March 27, 2024, 06:57:19 PM

Do you have some psychological intake or some personal opinion in related to my emotion?

Well I will not be surprised if it doesn't rise again to that level until halving. My own emotion is that the price have actually risen far above my expectations and market expectation for the history of bitcoin. However, it seems this halving is really going to change the fortune of the crypto market and making investors have lots of benefits with the way it broke previous ATH before halving because this is the first time I have noticed this happening. The reason for this is hodlers are really expecting much this season and they are hodling tight.
394  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Politicians and false humility on: March 27, 2024, 06:07:34 PM
False humility is one of the political strategies deployed during the times of elections to make people like and vote for them it is all fake
So after election they turn back to their normal self and bring out their real person

This is a circle that keeps repeating while the people know about it. What is now the solution as voters understand the phenomenon yet keep falling for it.

The next season they throw out their agents out on the field to start promising on their behalf and the people are given peanuts in exchange of their votes and after that the economy goods down by 10/20% in their tenure and they bid their friends again who is corrupt then the economy keeps nose diving. What is the solution to this for the masses who only need good governance with benefits of democracy.
395  Economy / Economics / Re: Off Economic phenomenon. on: March 27, 2024, 03:17:10 PM

Now, AI and search engines will only try to give me theoretically logical explanations, but I want something practical and out of experience from people of other countries. What do you think this Economic phenomenon is and what exactly is causing it? Has your country been in a situation like this throughout it's history, and how was it resolved?

AI will give you the answer that will be global phenomenal and that may only be theoritical and also making its solution so. Therefore, these issues are country based and not to be generalized. If government has stylishly caused the exchange rate to reduce then it possibly means they also caused it to increase in the first place. So you are going to look at corruption as a cause and that is why I said it is not global but country based.

Another factor to consider are how are the other economic indices functioning with the policies of government. Exchange rate must have to increase if there is pressure and demand for the major currency for import. This is a point to look at, how proficient is your countries.manufacturing sector and exportation of manufactured products? This is important to consider because forcing exchange rate down is not all but there must have to be good policy for natural growth of the economy and not artificial.
396  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Killing of Army officers in Delta State on: March 27, 2024, 02:45:26 PM
The thing wey dey baffle my mind na how dem fit take kill that kind number of soldiers including very high ranking officers. Shey dem trick them to drop gun abi dem ambush them? Even if them ambush them at least some go still fit do something. Omo the story look somehow and you go hardly hear the real gist on how them take kill them. Or them drop them gun go catch fun.

Well the point be say our security men don dey compromised and that na why dem dey use dem to go threaten people on matters.  I don dey search for the real thing wey happen but all na hearsay. Anyway, RIP for them as dey bury dem today.
397  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin halving, how low the price can be? on: March 27, 2024, 01:32:00 PM
Next month will be Bitcoin halving, how far can the price go down? or how high can the price go up?

The speculation for the bull run proper is around $150,000 and this is by popular assumption. So I also feel this is going to be a realistic standpoint if we go by the history of the price during ATH where it was doubled after every four years and some it was trippled like the last halving.

So the expectation is more of bull than bear although in between there could be a correction but since that will not be the trend, the price will keep going up until it reach a resistant point where it will find a falling point back to where it starts preparing for another halving.
398  Economy / Gambling / Re: Level Up Your Gaming with Cryptocurrency on: March 27, 2024, 10:56:55 AM

Please, describe your impressions of gaming sites with payment in crypto, whether it is easy to withdraw/deposit money into your account, so that we can improve our service.

Deposit or withdraw what exactly. Newbie accounts are risky to try that on and with the reviews so far, I don't know who wants to throw himself into such risk.

There are other reputable services and once you follow their TOS then you can have ease in the transaction.
399  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who can you trust more to handle your business, man or woman? on: March 26, 2024, 10:02:51 PM

* If you intend to start your business or you already do and are looking for the best candidate to fill the top management position, would you trust a man or a woman to handle the affairs of the business?

Anyone who wants to succeed in their business must first take away sentiment and go for the people who has the right requisite knowledge for it meaning qualification, skill and experience is pivotal to who should manage a business. Being a proficient and experienced professional should top the criteria for selection. Therefore, if the woman merits it so be it and if the man so be it. However, there are some jobs that require time, muscular capacity or being single. So the woman can be disadvanged in certain areas of giving time like if she is married because she also need to take care of the husband and children despite being a worker.

* What reasons would you suggest are right, for picking and trusting a particular gender to handle a top management position of your business?

Let's discuss!

Like I said, some jobs require certain type of persons. If it is a job that runs late into the evening or night, then obviously a married woman may not fit into it while a married man may manage but such jobs best fit for a single guy. A woman who is married for instance and she is not exactly a career woman may not take up certain jobs and if she does her attention will be divided. Women who take any type of jobs may need to have a very understanding husband or she is not in for the marriage.

So there are many limitation for the woman but despite that, she still has strong presence in the economy of the world.
400  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are children born out of wedlock is still a blessing from God? on: March 26, 2024, 05:19:43 PM
Regardless of religion it's considered as sin committed if children are born out of wedlock like extra marital afraid or live in relationship or even one night stand and the region where you live plays a vital role because if you are from countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and other African or Arab nations then it becomes more difficult as there will be an "Illegitimate" tag attached but I would say it's fault of the parents who did this and not the children and they would not be differentiated in the view of god.

Such illegal or illegitimate tag that you referred to is beginning to go away especially on the third world countries that you mentioned. Europe and America have since moved on from this old way of thinking and now Africa has joined to accept every child born as legal, this is majorly because adoption is now becoming a practice well established lately .
