You know what I see in this comment? Cypherdoc being a doofus! (yawn.) I would not rule out that there could be enough similar thought patterns to have an impact on spot gold prices such is the sad level of critical thinking skills here on planet earth. If so, and if it coincided with a good selling opportunity for Bitcoin (sadly, this ain't one...maybe next year sometime) then the planets would be nicely aligned for a portfolio re-adjustment. from one old codger to another socialist old codger: in your case, he's right.

Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP!

this is fun Yes I know! turn bear for a second and let a few coins slip and pow! you haven't been listening don't ignore the size of this candle. it's a major reversal sign and an attempt for the bulls to breakaway while everyone is caught like a deer staring into the headlights hoping that they get a pullback to get back in.

you know what i see in this picture? lots and lots of Gold!

this is fun it's actually quite quiet in here as everybody is scrambling to get money to exchanges or into Circle/Coinbase. i've seen it in a big way at least 5 times now. yawn. this is my first go at it does it feel anything like last year? too early to say maybe imo, this is the beginning of something much bigger. we've never had such a long bearish period with so many whipsaws ending up to the downside culminating with BearWhale. lots and lots of pessimism has built up and Bitcoin has essentially been "forgotten" outside our community. you won't want to hear this but usually alternative schemes like SC's usually peak in loudness and intensity at the bottoms when everybody has concluded that "OMG, we have to DO something to SAVE Bitcoin!"

You may or may not have notice who seems to be running the show in most countries. It is said that "Old age and treachery beats youth and skill every time." Maybe you missed this, but we're doing cryptography here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CryptographyCryptography (or cryptology; from Greek κρυπτός kryptós, "hidden, secret"; and γράφειν graphein, "writing", or -λογία -logia, "study", respectively)[1] is the practice and study of techniques for secure communication in the presence of third parties (called adversaries).[2] More generally, it is about constructing and analyzing protocols that overcome the influence of adversaries[3] and that are related to various aspects in information security such as data confidentiality, data integrity, authentication, and non-repudiation.[4] Modern cryptography intersects the disciplines of mathematics, computer science, and electrical engineering. It's an entire field dedicated toward using math to reduce the ability of people like you to "run the show." ouch

For anyone over 40 I have no advice
I suspect no-one over 40 would want the advice of anyone who regularly expresses such certainty in their opinions or has such a skewed view of the world. At around age 45-ish one starts to understands the reaction observed of one's elders over the years when they've listen politely to one's assertions about how the world works. Edit: Said oldsters doubtless remember the times when they were jackasses as well. from one old codger to another socialist old codger: in your case, he's right.

what am i?
Old enough to either already have a clue, or be too late to save. Fortunately you picked the former category. it's a bitchin' position to be in, that's for sure. unless someone comes along and changes the rules...

I think moving all in wouldn't be the optimal play for me.
If there is another bubble, then afterwards you could be considered "all in" because that 50% will be closer to 90%. that's exactly what has happened to alot of Bitcoiners.

For anyone over 40 I have no advice, because they don't matter any more - their contribution to how the future will look has ended or is close to ending.
dude, what am i? chopped liver?

Moon? i lol'ed: "So I said OK well let's assume it's something like gold—There's a finite amount of it," Pal said in an interview with Grant Williams on Real Vision Television. "There's a finite amount that's been mined. The rest is underground. We kind of know how long it's going to take before all the gold is mined or before all the bitcoins. Put them in the same kind of equation we get a value of bitcoin and that value is a million dollars. Now, you'll never hear an analyst say this—but I don't mind this—I could be wrong by 90%, and it's still worth $100,000."http://uk.businessinsider.com/raoul-pal-on-bitcoin-2014-11?r=USI suggest you watch the video at the end of the article if you haven't already. Much more interesting than the article. Only at the end does he drifts into nonsense suggesting gold will be improved to allow for currency use. It seems he hasn't accepted yet that Bitcoin is effectively gold's replacement but he definitely understand its value proposition he even uses the words "gold collapses"! is he here? ask him for a shoutout on twitter, he'll probably get you even more views than me
