3901  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Constructive Financial Advice Needed on: October 28, 2020, 12:48:17 PM
Don't put too much hope on investing in BTC especially for your future. BTC price is not guarantee that it will reach 200k or even 100k so you are definitely gambling your future on BTC. It will be better if you determine what's your  best skills and hone it so that you can used it to earn money. Don't aim for a business if you want a happy and stable financial status during your retirement. Aim for a good job that will give you a good income. There is a lot of possible job out there that offering huge income. Try working overseas if the salary in your country is low.

For your investment, try to diversify your money on insurance, cryptocurrency and retirement funds.

High Yield Investment Program(HYIP) ang ganitong scheme. I'm not familiar sa scheme nila kung pano kumita, Pero probably Ponzi scheme dahil malaki masyado ang ROI. 200% scam kapag too good to be true ang income. Kahit anong investment pa yan, Walang magbibigay ng 100% and above return sa short period of time.

Give them 1 to 6months. Sa ganyan kalaking ROI. Tiyak na mabilis lng tatakbo yan dahil mahihirapan silang mabayaran yung payout nung early investor once wala ng pumasok na new investment.

Can you list here the thread on Pilipinas board that deserve a merit? This will save time for all this drama and let everyone judge whether there are really lots of good thread out there that deserve a merit. I'm from Pilipinas board too but I agree on cabalism that most of the user that posting good content are always the same. I recently started to create a Guide thread because I'm sick to see that most post on our section is just a recycle general discussion of old topic.

Stop pressuring our merit source. This is not a paid job. Just keep creating useful thread and he will surely notice it.

Just like any other luck-based game, there is no perfect strategy for it. Martingale will never work for a long-run just like any other betting strategies. I haven't played a lot of roullete games, I am more of dice and crush games, just enjoy the game since it is mainly focused on luck, unlike in sports betting where you can apply your knowledge and analysis.

This is what i don't play too much gambling were lucky based game. Roullette gambling were on of these lucky based game, if you are are not meant to be lucky enough to win then sorry but you are not going to win. What i truly mean was, this gambling has a no 50/50 probability of chance of winning . For me it was a pure luck, I am not so naturally have luck in myself that's whay i didn't trust on my guts when it comes to gambling in roullette

All gambling is a luck based that's why it was called gambling because there is no guarantee that you will win or lose. Some other games like poker, blackjack and sportsbetting are still luck base game, You will just have an edge on the game if you have a good skills on respective game. Remember that gambling is what we talking about here and casino is not idiot for providing this that they will surely lose on skilled players(except poker because its PvP) .
3905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: JPM Coin is now live on: October 28, 2020, 12:17:07 AM
Not much speculation I have here.

From here, let's see how can they impact the current crypto market as a whole.

I'm seeing this honestly as a positive news despite JPM's negative thoughts towards bitcoin since more people will now be aware about this blockchain thing.

I'm not expecting much that this kind news will create a big impact on cryptomarket unless crypto influencer will shill and hype again the crypto market just like what happened on 2017 that even a garbage coin can be sold out in a flash when they are being introduced by an influencer like McAfee.  Grin

But this will not gonna affect crypto market in my opinion and JPM will not gonna be listed on normal crypto exchange because I believe they are Security token.
3906  Other / Meta / Re: About Create New Bitcointalk ID. Tag DT/Modaretor on: October 27, 2020, 04:29:10 PM
Bitcoin is decentralized and Bitcointalk was created for discussion about it. Requiring fee for newly registered ID will be a bad idea for a decentralized ideology. Forum are getting enough funds on the forum ads space income so charging fee for newbie just to counter the possible new account of the user that tagged by DT is not necessary. It will backfire soon on the forum because it will discourage newbie to enter on the forum since there are a lot of free crypto related forum out there that they can gather data.

The intention of this suggestion is good but the effect of it on the forum image might be a disaster sooner or later.

3908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery is a poor man's tax on: October 27, 2020, 01:35:10 PM
Lottery is the most notorious of all the gambling institution. The promise of a good life is what makes this a lucrative attraction for the people below or hanging in the poverty line. Although the odds of winning is higher than becoming an astronaut, many still take the chance to get the coveted numbers. Unless you are a statistician/mathematician or you have the money the money to buy all the combinations, winning is close to impossible.

Do you think that the pros of playing lottery outweigh the cons or vice versa?

Is government owned lottery a scummy way to tax the poor people?

How far are you willing to gamble to win the coveted jackpot (If you are playing lottery)?

Nope because Lottery has been there ever since and not only poor people is engaging in Lottery, also taxation is applied to all gambling games not only this.

though yeah majority of bettors are poor but it does not necessarily mean those are being abused of the government.

People are not mandated to bet on lotteries and that is enough I think to tell that it is not an abuse of the government. They tend to bet not because they are required but because it is their own likeness hoping to get a "better" life out of luck. Since they are having a tough time to get rich on their jobs, they are still gambling their luck to the other way of having huge mount of money. We cannot blame them from doing so, since in the first place they are not required to bet on lotteries. But it is true, winning is a punch to the moon and little do they know that as their trials are getting bigger, same thing happens with their losses.

It's actually a tax trap by the government. There's a lot of free money coming in on lottery since anyone can play it disregarding financial status. Playing it cost small amount of money so even poorest of the poor can bet there last penny to gamble for there fortune.

The chance of winning the lottery is slimmer rather than by a lightning. Imagine the majority of the people throwing there money on this government gambling makes a huge chunk of money for the government. Why small time gambling is prohibited while this gambling is legal while the amount of money on playing on it is same small amount? Simply because government can easily monopolise tax using this lottery game. I agree on OP the way he view this game.
3909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Missed the golden opportunity, now what?? on: October 27, 2020, 10:56:55 AM
No, Its not that late for you to seize the golden opportunity here in bitcoin world. I believe that Bitcoin will exceeds above everyone's expectations as time goes on. The great thing is that you are able to participate this time and just do your best to reach your goal whatever it might be. I guess opportunities are just around, and we just need to be very smart and be strong enough to take the risk.

Not that Golden opportunity compared when you invest during 1$ each BTC. The current priced is almost 50% to 80% of the possible maximum price in the future. All bullshit prediction that BTC will reach 100k USD and above is delusional.  There still a lot of opportunities on BTC but don't expect much return compared before when the price was below 1000$ mark. The current price range might be the price of BTC for the long time unless Jeff Bezos and other billionaires tank BTC.

Most them were failed to deliver the project main goal that they promise during there startup. This is the best example for expectation vs reality post. It's easy to promise a brilliant idea during initial stage but most of them didn't continue the development due to some original member already leave the group after they received there share on the token sales that locked for a certain period of time. They are just still alive because they want to exit scam slowly to avoid being sue by investors. They are just waiting for there community to slowly die just like many project did and announce bankruptcy later.
3912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you think you are smart just know that some are smarter on: October 27, 2020, 03:22:43 AM
This idea is unique and I have never heard of this before and it shows how the technology works beyond even hackers and scammers knowledge as well so it is definitely scary, however this feels like a deserved act as well.

I mean if you are out there looking to steal from other people, I would say that there is a big chance you deserve to get your money stolen as well, so that is why I think it is not as bad as you might imagine it is, after all we are not really people who steal from others and if we try to steal from others it is only fair that others try to steal from us as well.

But, the idea that "if you think you are smart, there are smarter out there" works in every facet of life, it is not for crypto or scamming only, it could be for everything in life.

This has been happened long time ago before 2017 when ERC20 was new. Some guy intentionally leaving there private key on bounty spreadsheet. At first glance, it looks a mistake on pasting ETH address because it was a common mistake on filling up bounty form that time. The address contains freeze contract ERC20 tokens with huge value in fiat. Then there's a smart contract setup with it so that tokens sent there will be automatically sent ou to the scammer wallet. Same as the method describe about OP.

This is the first time someone report this kind of scheme but it already happened long time ago.
3913  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [G U I D E] Paano Bumili at Magbenta sa Binance P2P (Coins.ph alternative) on: October 26, 2020, 02:55:45 AM

Your account posts got deleted which means that you are spamming the forum by creating new thread for a short period of time with copy/paste content from article. Do you have a photo of your previous post so that we can check if you are telling the truth. Most the newbie this days don't read forum rules before they post here. Mods will never unbanned the account unless you can provide a clear proof that your post was original by recovering all your previous post that got deleted.

3916  Local / Pamilihan / [G U I D E] Paano Bumili at Magbenta sa Binance P2P (Coins.ph alternative) on: October 24, 2020, 01:52:15 PM
Goodnews dahil may BinanceP2P na reliable alternative way na para mag cash-in at cash-out ng mabilis at halos same available mode of payment sa coins.ph.

Step 1: Bisitahin ang official Binance P2P website sa https://p2p.binance.com/en/

Step 2: I set-up ang ang payment/received option

Step 2: Pindutin ang "Post new Ad"

Click "post ad" and you are good to go na bro.

3917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto.com drastically changes staking requirements for their debit cards on: October 24, 2020, 06:15:41 AM
There must be a halving for the staking reward and that's not a problem.
I can understand that because the company will need to generate more and more profit to keep the development but 150% increases are amazing and there should be more features that will be available for the cardholders.

That's the biggest problem. There are no more benefits for people that have to stake more CRO to get a certain Tier. The only "benefit" is that they have to get more tokens. I understand why the ydid that (to increase the demand for CRO tokens), but they should have give more benefits to people for a 150% increase in required staking amount.

I'm not saying crypto.com is bad card service. They are quite good. But this doesn't look good for new users.

This might result to fewer new user avail the card. But this is a solution to inflating supply of tokens that send to token stakers. If the staking continue without any adjustment on the required quantity of tokens, There might be a huge dump in price soon once the old token holders save too much token from staking. This is same scenario on DeFi tokens like Sushi swap, They continuously gave huge APY for stalkers that result to too many token mined and dump on the market.

It just take 5 to 10 whales to unstake and dump all there tokens to massively dump the price of the token. This update is very good for old token holders and for future price growth of CRO in my opinion.

I gambling Gaethje here tho.  Via sub or via KO/TKO!  Grin  So I'm either gonna look like a genius or the biggest gibroni after the event.  Hoping for the former.  Lolol.
Wow you've really bet money against Khabib?   Shocked Are you crazy? How much were the odds?

It was really a long shot, as per sportsbet.io, the odds are:

So @tokeweed took a big gamble here.

A big gamble because Justin opponent is Khabib but it makes sense that he bet on KO/TKO result because surely the outcome will either be Khabib or Justin KO/TKO during the 1st or 2nd round. I'm not expecting that the fight will took until the last round considering the fighting style of both player.

Justin has a shot on this fight because khabib's father died. Let's be honest, this really give a psychological impact and might affect his training session. Still I'm with khabib on this fight. A very powerful fighter, less talk more action. The best fighter.
3919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin co-exist with the current financial system on: October 22, 2020, 02:30:10 PM
maybe now it has started side by side with the current financial system, and maybe in the future this Bitcoin system will be widely used in many countries, and more use the Bitcoin system because many do not agree with the current financial system, "but this is only hope"
and I think Bitcoin was created not only for investment but to be able to change the current financial system,
Even though it will be difficult but I always hope this can happen

The only problem why I don't think Bitcoin will be widely in the future is because there's a lot of new and existing crypto that has a better feature than Bitcoin. No one can assure the value of BTC because there is no valuable things such as Gold or USDT backed its existence. Only speculation on the price is what keeps BTC grows overtime.

Besides that, Bitcoin can't or might faced hard time on co-existing on the financial system because they are completely opposite. The current financial system is centralised and BTC is decentralized. We all know that in terms of financial, It must be centralised so that government can control all taxable money. As you can see, the goal of most big mover BTC related company was to register an ETF that will represent BTC on stock market.  It means that BTC direction towards to indirect centralization.
3920  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has crypto failed to break through still? on: October 22, 2020, 01:54:43 AM
Why are governments still in control of the money printing process? how has cryptocurrency failed to make a dent?
Are we as a community too scared to challenge the status quo?

Simple, Because we live with rules and laws, Without it, There will be chaos around the world just like what happened during world war. The government is the reason why each country is control and being decentralized means there's no law that needs to be follow in order for these crypto to circulate that's why most people that abiding the law are still clinging on the use of the traditional cash rather than crypto because it has an assurance for its value because government regulating it unlike crypto that nobody/group of individuals are the one in control with your money. So guess what is more convenient?
