41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A blog about someone planning to retire early with Bitcoin on: February 15, 2024, 11:15:49 AM

You can clearly see that it has been an incredibly great savings strategy so far, obtaining a lot more value than simply saving in fiat. In the end, perseverance seems to be the key here. He's not putting an incredible amount of money down every month, but still he has managed to obtain a lot of Bitcoin, 4.47 BTC from his last update. Have you tried something similar?, maybe now thinking about doing it?, I think it's a great idea.

This actually a very commendable strategy and can be utilized by anyone in many parts of the world. Now, one may just choose $100 or even $50 per month and the growth will surely be tremendous and it is because Bitcoin has proven to be a growth achiever among many other assets that one can use to invest with. Consistency is a big factor and holding on to the asset as well...and this is where many of us - including me, of course, may fail. Success here is reserved to someone who is not distracted by any other digital asset shining in the market and not listening to anyone - even the famous pundits - about what can happen with Bitcoin on the negative side. Congrats to this guy for a job well done!
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Monero - Privacy as the world becomes more dystopian on: February 15, 2024, 11:07:58 AM

I love bitcoin, however i see privacy as the #1 concern going forward. Monero is quietly gaining lots of adoption on websites, services, exchanges, dark net markets etc. Most of the truth & freedom movement appear to recommend it over Bitcoin. Also scaling is another issue, Bitcoin fees are 1000x Monero fees. Thoughts please. I want some honest opinions here.

There is no question that on the area of privacy, Monero got it over Bitcoin and that is why organization and people who are really concerned on this factor can be choosing to use Monero rather than any other coins including BTC for that matter. Being a privacy coin, Monero is on the top of the list and can continue to be one as such for many long years. The only "disadvantage" is that many governments are wary of Monero as this is something that is truly beyond their eyes to see. Now, I have no problem with Monero though I am not one of its holders nor did I use it to transfer or buying anything. What is important is that people got choices according to the specifications of their situation.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be very careful and attentive when selling your bitcoins on: February 15, 2024, 10:58:56 AM

A huge loss just for not paying attention to selling at the price of the day, maybe he wanted to execute the orders quickly, or he didn't know what he was doing.

This is a sad story but one has Bitcoin and is really involved with cryptocurrency he should have learned the ins and outs of converting BTC to cash or maybe USDT in a centralized exchange. Am sure this BTC seller will never forget for the rest of his life what happened to his Bitcoin and getting almost zero in the process. One of the many things I learned with crypto is we must be allotting some time to educate ourselves even the very basic one. I know that this is actually a big hindrance for many hence crypto is not for all though it is very much open to all. So sad, indeed!
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin commercials on: February 14, 2024, 12:52:19 PM

One thing for sure, all of these ads made by ETFs can make Bitcoin more popular. although they are all pointing to their platforms and services, people will be learning more on Bitcoin and who knows there can be a certain percentage that will opt either to invest in ETF and/or directly get Bitcoin for themselves. As they are saying, even a bad publicity is still a publicity and in these ads Bitcoin is actually presented with a lot of good taste and excitement. Therefore we can conclude that this indirect promotion for Bitcoin can become one of the many advantages of ETFs for Bitcoin and even the whole cryptocurrency industry.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wight is not Satoshi Nakamoto, said the real Satoshi Nakamoto in Twitter on: February 14, 2024, 05:13:22 AM
No it is not a Joke. The Court Room was so hot so Satoshi Nakamoto just has contacted Justice James Mellor and wrote him the Official Letter on 9 February.

Official Google Blog of Satoshi Nakamoto
https://sites.google.com/view/letter-of-satoshi

Original advertisement for your Twitter account. I laughed out loud. I wonder how the "real" Satoshi Nakamoto confirmed in court that he is who he says he is? And why would the real Satoshi Nakamoto create a blog on Google when he has a whole forum?

Claiming that this is not as BIG JOKE is actually the big joke in here. And this certainly tickle my fancy and imagination.
Though I would say that this is quite hilarious, I wanna thank the X account owner of the post for providing us a good form of entertainment. Certainly, there are still some people who could not easily accept that Satoshi Nakamoto hide for a purpose and as such he won't show up anytime for any other reason. Plus nobody can also be sure if "he" is a real person or whatever his real name is. Maybe 10 years from this "cult" on Satoshi will finally fade...or I could be wrong as it has even grown so wild.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need more influencial women in crypto to help the gender embrace it? on: February 14, 2024, 05:06:33 AM

Do you think there are more influential women in crypto, this will help to encourage more women into adopting cryptocurrency? Perhaps there are some which are doing really great but we haven't got to hear their names.

Well, the cryptocurrency industry is always open to anyone regardless of gender, age, race and all other factors so if there are only a few women then maybe it is not yet their time to go in. As mentioned above, there are now women who are famous in this industry so in terms of role model we have them and it is all up to women to take the challenge and be a part of this still men-dominated world. Do we have to tell women to join us here? You can do that if you want but that can be a big waste of time as cryptocurrency is mostly online anyone with an interest can easily find information she is looking for. So the question is: Why women are less interested with cryptocurrency...is it the perceived risks in here like many of them are viewing crypto like gambling?
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here's why BCH/BSV lovers constantly attack BTC... on: February 13, 2024, 12:29:03 PM

Deep inside their heart they know that BTC is the only true Bitcoin, therefore they try to change it as they see fit. They already have what they want (big blocks in forked/worthless chains), but not in their preferred chain (BTC). Wink I hope this clears up the whole situation. Smiley

Actually, people are attacking Bitcoin because they are in reality supporting something else as if they can be able to diminish Bitcoin by using that strategy. They will fail, of course. Nothing can stop Bitcoin and its critics will eventually accept that fact of life. There is nothing wrong with supporting or promoting aside from Bitcoin, and that is why we have thousands of altcoins around. What they don't understand is that without Bitcoin, BCH and BSV and the rest of the gang will not be here if Bitcoin did not paved the way. No Bitcoin, no alts...that is the arrangement and not the other way around. These people are just wasting their time but then if they got nothing better to do then let's just let them so they got something to enjoy!
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wight is not Satoshi Nakamoto, said the real Satoshi Nakamoto in a tweet on: February 13, 2024, 12:22:53 PM

Twitter Account of the Real Satoshi Nakamoto -   https://twitter.com/SatoshiN4k4moto

Soon this X account of the supposed real Satoshi Nakamoto will be claiming to be truly the one and we would have another one added to the list of so many faketoshis. Just opening an account in X and claiming to be this and that does not qualify anyone to be the genuine and real person. When will this madness or rather jokes stop. We all know how we can determine the real Satoshi Nakamoto and unless those criteria are met, anybody claiming to be one should just be relegated as a big joker.

50  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2024-01-30] What Lies Ahead for Crypto Now That the Fabled Bitcoin ETF Is Here? on: February 13, 2024, 08:34:28 AM

As of now, we can feel the positive impact of ETF for Bitcoin and let's hope that this can continue right into the halving and the rest of the year. For 2025, there can be some skirmishes and challenges along the way but BTC can still come out to be the overall winner. However, we should note that no matter how jubilant we can be, we don't actually know what can be. The concern raised by some is that ETFs can be used to manipulate the price of BTC so they can decide whether it would go up or down depending on their financial interest. Will this happen? Again, we don't know so we must continue watching developments in the market.
51  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2024-01-31] Time to end Craig Wright's harrasment campaign against Bitcoin devs on: February 12, 2024, 10:46:19 AM

Despite this brash campaign, Wright has failed repeatedly to produce any authentic documents supporting his claim, even when pressed in litigation. Let's see how this goes, because this one are backed by the big guns in the Crypto industry. 😁

The time has really come to shut down all the claims and attacks coming from a man named Craig Wright...nice name but with bad intent as he is the Wrong one on this case. The whole Bitcoin and crypto community has had been giving him all the chances and leeway he can use to prove that he is the real Satoshi Nakamoto, all to no avail. He should just shut up and face the reality and not anymore drag the industry into his own world where he is pretending to be the real guy. He is wrong and will always be...no amount of convincing from his side can change that.
52  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2024-02-02] FT: The ‘cult’ of Bukele: El Salvador’s bitcoin-loving strongman... on: February 12, 2024, 10:41:21 AM

While some has this tendency to call someone who made some solid success and loyal followers as cultish, doing the right things in the face of so many challenges in one's country is anything but that. Of course, we all have our opinions and the media has this tendency to always look what can be "half-empty" and delve on there while people who approved of Bukele see the other side, the better side of the coin. I am then wishing the reelected President of El Salvador more success and wisdom in guiding his small country to a better future...of course with the help of Bitcoin.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Spot ETFs hit $10 Billion milestone just one month after approval on: February 12, 2024, 10:34:32 AM

Seems to me that the positive effect of BTC-ETF is now starting to trek in after its "gloomy" effect on BTC overall in the first week. With this kind of excitement, am sure that there will be more people and organizations taking a dip into the business of ETF...indirectly impacting the price of Bitcoin in the crypto market. I am really hoping that my cautious stance on ETF can be proven wrong since we all want what is really good for the cryptocurrency industry...an inclusive future of hope, growth, prosperity, peace and freedom.

55  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2024-02-04] Bitcoin Pioneer Nayib Bukele Reelected in El Salvador ... on: February 11, 2024, 05:30:18 AM

Nayib Bukele has become a very popular political figure in El Salvador as a fruit of the many things he successfully done for the people. I am aware of some accusations of this and that but suffice it to say majority of the El Salvadorans so far approved of his policies and accomplishment. I know that this man is not perfect but no one is...better that we have him in El Salvador than somebody else that will just make the nation go to waste and be stagnant. And since he is one big supporter of Bitcoin then that is indeed a big plus...and that is for now he is the darling politico of the Bitcoin and crypto industry.

56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it okay for Bitcoin Core development to be funded by Banks? on: February 11, 2024, 05:25:52 AM
I am more curious on what kinds of terms would Banks offer in return for the money they invest?? Banks are no charities, they are normal capitalists just like you and me.

I think that there should be 100% transparency here so the Bitcoin and crypto community are aware of the things going on and that we should be watchful. I am sure that these capitalists have their own financial interest on things they are doing, though we also have to consider that organizations can fund something without expecting something in return. I am just wondering why there is no big movement coming from Bitcoin supporters and enthusiasts to instead crowdsource the Bitcoin Core development...or has there been one already?
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inverse Cramer Strikes Again on: February 11, 2024, 04:48:47 AM

He also frequently makes several suspiciously-timed wrong calls about the same stock, yet for some reason anybody keeps taking him seriously. So what do you think? Does Cramer's endorsement of Bitcoin mean something terrible is about to happen? ETFs rejected or delayed, institutions pulling out? Or is it all just a superstition?

So officially this can be called as  Inverse Cramer Effect which can really be so funny...just like saying that many of the things Jim will happen or predict will happen will not actually happen but the other side will. yet what is funnier is that Jim Cramer continues on cramming his many ideas and perceptions into the public and maybe we can say that he has a good sizeable audience as his captured fans. So now whenever he says this, some people will do the other thing. By the way, Jim Cramer is not an expert on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency so I don't think anything he has to say on this market has a real value. The man is fake.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana network shuts down, will you still invest in SOL? on: February 10, 2024, 06:11:02 AM

I don't have SOL right now but if I have additional money to put into crypto am sure that SOL can be a good candidate. And it is because a crypto platform that already survived so many outages - 11 count so far - and have the coin's price unaffected proved that the confidence and trust of its community and its holders remains so strong. Holders might be looking not at this problem but of the full potential of SOL that's why the market just shrugged it off as if it did not happened at all. Still, if this problem will happen again and again there comes a time for reckoning, for sure.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take on Social Media platforms on the Web 3? on: February 10, 2024, 06:05:21 AM

If that's the kind of web3 social media that you are proposing, then I will say it will be a good one, but it won't gain popularity as not everyone likes wallet connections in order to chat, and not everyone is also an advocate of privacy to the next level. Another factor that people could consider before venturing into it is the speed at which it will be used to convey a message to the next person and data safety.

Yes, and getting people to use the platform and be popular is a big factor for a Web 3.0 social platform to survive and flourish into the future. I think it is fair to say that many have tried to take on the big and expanding social media market and I am not sure if anyone of them can still be alive. One thing for sure, even with the many good benefits of Web 3.0, it is so difficult to fight for the attention of the people and have them regular used new entrants to the market. Let's hope one or two can make it and be big but for now it is not happening.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitconned on: February 10, 2024, 06:00:35 AM
I just watched Bitconned, a netflix documentary about scammers behind Centra. Guys like these with nonsense scam projects are one of the reasons why crypto is having a bad rep, not meme tokens like pepe. Thet don't come even close to this.

But even though this was one crazy scam, i would rather see protagonists of a documentary somewhat relatable, that they would be interesting outcasts and underdogs, or at least so weird like crypto couple that hacked bitfinex. That story seems to have really weird background. Or movie from Ben Mezrich's book Bitcoin Billionaires. At least the book was rather good.

I also happened to have watched this documentary in a free movie streaming site which I can easily access here in my country. At first, it would be the story behind Bitconnect but then when I started to view the whole thing it was the story of the people behind the Centra scam which I unfortunately also promoted as a bounty participant back on those years when ICO was the rage all over crypto. This move should be opening our eyes on how easy it would be to start a project and use even fictitious people or figures just to convinced people to shell out money with the hope to get good returns on their investments. Centra also got famous personalities like DJ Khaled, Floyd Mayweather, and Paris Hilton endorsed Centra Card and Centra Tech. One thing I hate with the story is Ray Trapani never meted a prison sentence due to his cooperation with the whole case. The judge could have used the case to send a strong message by getting all the scammers get prison terms with varying duration.
