Pointing to the smartphone, Kurzweil says, devices like the iPhone are 100,000 times smaller than the computer that he used as an MIT student. "It is also several thousand times more powerful," he says. "It is a million times cheaper. That is a several billion-fold increase in price performance." Technology is being reduced at a rate of "100,000 in 3-D volume per decade," says Kurzweil. "That is another predictable exponential trajectory, so computers of this capability will be blood-cell size in 2030.

Phone size is increasing again.

30 Years Of Cell Phones

looks like the battery size that is increasing again

It appears gen3 is still selling and going for 1 RMB/ghash.

Where is that info from? Isn't that at or below cost?

I was under the impression that 'cost' was not known.  I do not believe your question can be answered at this time.

I believe youre right.

Well, here's to hoping that FC pays a lump div for AM3 sales to those of us holding some shares.  Grin Then when the lemmings come out from under their rocks then can whine and moan about no divs.

this sell, is it confirmed? who is mining with AM chips ?
49  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 15, 2014, 12:54:37 PM
A few more big sell-offs in AM1 and we will be at a place in time where very little in BTC is required to join the board of directors, relatively speaking. I have to assume that if the price falls all the way back down to IPO levels we will see FC make an appearance once more. Having your company lose another 50% of its value tends to motivate peoples interests.

Regardless, July 20th is the 1.5 months FC envisioned it may take to sell out the current batch of chips. Unless AM is going for another batch, we should be seeing an announcement shortly. If AM is doing another batch starting in August then we are likely looking at a dividend in the Fall at some point.

Im sure FC is not a single bit worried about market valuation of AM1, look at this address, https://blockchain.info/address/115tTroRo3B9ZDQ6ATJGDCHcNEVbjJoZnF  at least half of that is owned by AM, why on earth one anonymous ultra capitalized company would want to satisfy all the bagholders here?
50  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 13, 2014, 10:23:56 PM
Guys dont think about this. this is spam and it wasnt the first from this firstbits. Just an advertisement try-hard. they targeted known list for ASICMINER hodlers before.

Exactly. And if this "dusty thing" will ever happen from AM address before the divs, then don't panic. It will be for verification of direct shares ownership.

It would be great to see this happen again. Ill inclined to sell some soon this will avoid me asking someone for confirmation
51  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Graet.Loan - Paying 0.05% interest daily on: July 12, 2014, 12:19:17 AM
Without prejudice,

I believe I am the largest creditor in relation to the Graet.Loan.
I am located in Australia, and have been in preliminary discussions with a Sydney law firm regarding this. (One that is familiar with Bitcoin and has done work related to the Australian Bitcoin industry)

As Graeme Tee indicated his intentions to pay the bulk of the loan off some time in mid 2014 - I haven't yet sent him any direct communications regarding a demand for payment of either interest or principal.

Given that it is now July, and he hasn't made any recent public statements - I will likely send a letter of demand soon.

That said - I'm not hopeful that Graeme's businesses are in a position for him to put a meaningful dent in his liabilities at the moment.

If Graeme will communicate, I may even delay legal action a little further. I am also amenable to renegotiating the interest rate to a *lower* amount. (Though I speak only for myself in this)
I believe the change in the Bitcoin mining landscape was one critical factor in reducing his ability to pay back this loan, and this caught many of us off-guard - so I think it's reasonable to reassess the interest rate.

Graeme, Please communicate and negotiate with us.

Yes please communicate Graet.

read the OP and a quick look in the blockchain and youll see why I bumped this thread

https://blockchain.info/address/1MenQ9tJiGHaNwTiFJJu2g9F2qpseWzPMu

How much does he owe you now after the calculation of 7% interest monthly?

ask him, we settled another agreement which is way more payable than 7% monthly

No thanks. The guy thinks I am out to "get him".

If you do not want to share the details no problem. Aloha!

He knows the ammount, payment address must have at least 32btc.

Aloha!

Hes probably a person like Satoshi and well never be sure.

Satoshi never went in with intent to do business with other people's funding. I'm almost certain it will be a disappointment to some when they find out he's mortal and not the mythical creature they envision.

If hes a single person hes a mortal no doubt. What I wanted to say is altough he may be known person to some, it appears, whatever he does, he seems not to have the intention to become public figure. By any means Im calling him mythical figure or idol and this is not important discussion to this thread.

Cant understand why the discussion on Friedcats identity.

There seems to be some contention about whether friedcat attended that mining forum.  I figure that if the yixia video shows his presence, someone should be able to point him out.  Ergo, the yixia video did not show him attending the forum.

Why point him out? First movers in AM saga already know him in person(webcam).

Hes probably a person like Satoshi and well never be sure.
