XQN is a better buy than MMXIV, even if MMXIV has higher PoS (2014% vs 1618%) and lower coin count. MMXIV has really no roadmap just like Balls, just the purpose to thrive off of high PoS only.

I don't know if this is a rumor or true, but is DGB going to be dealing with HSBC?
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GAP] Gapcoin - Prime Gap Search - New Math Algo - CPU / GPU - Zero Premine on: November 29, 2014, 11:47:20 AM
4xGPU running on GPU miner and CPU have 100% load  Shocked W8.1x64 8Gb RAM

Yes, the GPU miner needs lots of CPU power behind it.  Right now it's not very efficient to use your GPU's.  I have my mining rig CPU mining GAP and my GPU's mining other coins.  This way I get paid twice for my efforts  Wink

yeah, i back to this scheme too.

Best to mine this with a server board that can have 2 or 4 cpu sockets. Intel Xeon with 12 or 15 core with HT for 24 or 30 threads, would be power efficient ways long term but costly initially for the hardware. The gpu miner needs to offload work more on the gpu some how to make it more efficient. If you compare gpus to the recent i7 with 6 or 8 cores, they beat this immensely and even a 4 core i7 or AMD FX 8 core do better still too...

The new wallet gets stuck on block 619206...Is there any nodes I can add to help it?....I'm going to delete everything in the roaming folder, except the wallet.dat and conf files....Hope that fixes it....

Any plans to making an Android and/or iOS wallet(s)? Keep up the great job dev.... Cool

Anyone have a example Conf. file for adding some good nodes.

You don't need to addnodes. Just load it up and you'll have like 5 connections instantly

Ah okay.
I have all my BALLS in one Client  Smiley

I never know if its all setup right until I receive that first stake.
Iv read through the threads and could not find a stated time-span for coin maturity to occur. When will my BALLS grow up?

24hrs to reach maturity

Yep, we stake quick

Trend reversal incoming?!

Trend Price reversal incoming?!

Price looks like it's trending upward, then more likely stabilize once it hits the 1000% staking (post 94k block).

50 blocks to go! definitely somewhere in the 11:?? time

It looks like it's projecting around 11:25 to 11:45 GMT at the given rate at the moment....
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Snowballs | Do you have BALLS for a ROLLERCOASTER!? | HARD FORK - UPDATE!! on: November 25, 2014, 09:20:18 AM
Wait, is everyone using gmt time? Lmao Because my time is in PST, wouldn't that be 11:45 GMT?

Yea, block explorer time. I missed your PST; I changed it

Someone else has 11:45...lol....Do I need to change the time? If you need to change it, 3:31 AM PST (11:31 GMT) is fine. Don't want to overlap someone that already has that time slot.

411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How much to build a Darkcoin mining rig? on: November 25, 2014, 07:14:21 AM
my bad, 300 usd

No way man  Grin

I've almost 500MHs of X11 hash power and Im really think to sell all my rigs...   Angry
My hardware: R9280x and R9290x ~200GPU's...
Sorry dude...Its better trading than mining... This world its a Scam World and no longer profitable...

I hear you!

I've spent the last 2 months selling this off: http://s1242.photobucket.com/user/Ignition75/media/DSC_0008_zps4d33cb7e.jpg.html

Best move I ever made, invested all of it in cloud mining shares and I've already made ROI.

No more crazy electricity bills and I have my life back!

Wow that bonkers...LOL...I only had at max 4 rigs, that's 30 rigs....  Shocked

Even with Nvidia gpu's, it's not even close to marginally profitable, just lower power cost.....Unless the Nvidia card can get twice the hash power of the current output, then maybe it would be profitable.....

Definitely, crypto would has so many ponzi schemes that it make the actual crypto's trying to be legit suffer too...

What happened to the Windows binary download? So, I figure that we have to compile the source code ourselves I guess?

Yearly yield from staking will be changed. At block 80,000, it will start increasing by 1% per block (starting at the original 5000%), hitting 10000% at block 85,000. At this point it will begin dropping 1% per block, hitting 1000% at block 94,000 and staying at 1000% afterwards. This will still keep us as the highest staking coin on the market without relying too much on transactions fees

Speaking of transaction fees...we actually had come up with 4 very interesting solutions to help with inflation control. The only problem with all 4 of these ideas was how it would be handled on exchanges. It has to do with fees being based on both inputs and outputs and would just cause a headache for anyone who has to calculate them. Not only this, but to fix the exchange solutions would open up vulnerabilities to get around paying any fees at all using raw transactions. So unfortunately, we are leaving fees as they are. At the end of the rollercoaster, staking yield will be cut to 20% of the current new supply

....

Wouldn't Balls be the 3rd highest staking coin after block 94k? MMXIV would be top at 2014% and XQN would be second at 1618%.
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] $XQN Quotient Financial Network | PoW Scrypt, PoS Blake-256 | High PoS on: November 22, 2014, 07:11:28 AM
Price is nice and stable and wish POLONIEX would add it too..  Smiley

Agreed. I'm staking and buying more when big chunks show up. Would be nice for another exchange since Empo has no orders.

Poloniex, Cryptsy and BTER would be cool to be on.... Cool

This coin, M and Balls are my fav coins to stake at the moment.... Grin

about to get interesting block 80k is approaching quickly

Just about 6000 blocks to go

About 3 days left, then the ride get wild....lol

How frequent does the rich list updates?
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How much to build a Darkcoin mining rig? on: November 22, 2014, 03:02:26 AM
Your better off mining Burstcoin (Proof of Capacity), PoS mining (Snowballs, M coin, XQN, Hyperstake, etc), Gapcoin (cpu mine primes) and/or buying coins to invest. Only when x11/x13/x15 asic miners are out, will it be worth mining coins with x algos that will be available next year.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is Now A Good Time To Buy GPU? on: November 22, 2014, 02:57:44 AM
If your really insisting on gpu mining, then go with the Nvidia GTX 750ti (best power per performance per hash gpu per cost). Otherwise, mining Burstcoin (Proof of Hard Drive Capacity), PoS mining (ie. SnowBalls, M coin, XQN, Hyperstake, etc) and Gapcoin (cpu mining) are probably the most profitable at the moment.

Seems like your PoS is working fine. You should get around ~8.2 a day-ish average. 1618%/365days=4.432876712328767%/day as a rough estimate.

Mining hardware comparison (outdated): http://gapcoin.org/hardware-comparison.php

.....

Is there a chance that this list will be updated with the latest miners: dcct cpu and the gpu miner?

I get 350k pps with an AMD Phenom II x6 1055t at stock clocks and 250k~275k with an AMD HD7970 at 1150/1500 clocks.
