From last night the mined balance has transferred from the pool (cryptoKnight pool). But it doesn't show in wallet or tradeogre account. Does someone else also facing this problem?? What can be this problem?
They're forked off the network and mining a dead fork. I tweeted @sebseb7 or whatever on twitter and let him know yesterday, but he hasn't responded. |

 Is this normal console operation or not? I think if you turn on background mining then yes, it will automatically start and stop mining based on computer usage. |

OP updated with hardfork info. June 14 PoW will switch to RandomWOW, which will mean no pools initially, so only solo CPU mining.

Same here!  I am running my own monero node on a single board computer (cubietruck+ 120 gb ssd) now for some time. But syncing through TOR and behind openvpn seemed to slow for full sync. I only reach 98-99,7% and still 8000 blocks missing after more then ten days. Now after some days, changing to normal internet connection, and changing swappines of swap, i reach 99,7% sync. Thats a problem i cant solve because there is no error or similar, so no point to start changing something. is there something else that can cause that problem? and my secound question: Are there any benifits from running my own local node behind a vpn or tor connection? Or does running over normal internet and only „within lan“ use protect enough and there is no ip faking nessesary? The code is being finalized by tevador et al. I think the plan is to have it frozen by end of the month. Then we also will need updated pool and miner software, but if I had to guess probably looking at June or July time frame.

Bittrex, on one my withdrawal sent me OBytes twice with an interval of few days. Anyone expirienced that?
Support looks like inadequate and refuse to accept that.

What is the current Monero DAG size? Any link to follow that info?
DAG size? You are thinking about Ethereum. Monero does not have a DAG. I think technically a blockchain is a kind of dag, but yea it's irrelevant to mining Monero. I don't think memory had an impact on mining hash rate, so either card would work fine until switch to RandomX at least. |

What is smooth's opinion on Trade Ogre?
I literally don't know anything about it. imo they're pretty reliable for totally anonymous type exchange. I think they've been up for 12-18 months or more without downtime, and they've had no issues afaik. |

Got a question regarding the monero-gui wallet:
My balance is higher than the unlocked balance.
However I am fully synced. Any idea how to access these locked funds? :\
You should just have to wait ten blocks or so and it will unlock. If it doesn't you need to rescan or restore wallet. |

Its no surprise that people in this thread remain optimistic about monero's future but I share a different sentiment. Monero is a dying coin. the hype is dying down, lots of new privacy projects will overtake the marketshare that xmr has managed to capture. I would sell off for bitcoin if you are still holding any monero.
It would be nice, if any of you would actually name a new better privacy coin. But you never do. And there is a good reason why there always no examples. Its ignorant to think nothing will ever come and topple Monero. Maybe if you actually were knowledgeable about new projects you wouldn't be so confident about Monero's dominance. Don't get wrong its still a solid coin for the next year or so but its not something I want to be in long term. Thanks for sharing your examples of better options. |
