... Not to wander too far off-topic, but I wouldn't touch Gulden with a 33 and a half foot pole. Big premine (10%) that was supposed to be for air drop to Dutch people, but then after launch the dev(s) decided to just keep it for themselves and use as they see fit. Also, emission was slashed after launch, so that big premine (10% of total coins) makes up an even larger percent of available supply (I think ~40% of current supply). And if you go ask any questions in their unlocked speculation thread you tend to get no serious answers, just attacked by several trolls with memes and juvenile insults. All this for a Litecoin clone makes it seem...pretty shit coiny.
careful your jealousy is showing again, gulden wallet is way better than anything your pet groestl shitcoin has. gulden has a lot more unique code in it than most other coins here but you want to call it a clone while praising crap like groestl? give us some of the shit you are smoking mate it must be real good Gulden speculation trolls are leaking Of the coins mentioned in this thread, I own some Groestl, but more in terms of USD or BTC value of Vertcoin and Litecoin. I was just stating some facts about why I wouldn't hold any Gulden, and rather than refute those facts, you just...did what it is you do. I believe another couple coins that are on latest Bitcoin codebase are Huntercoin and Namecoin, but I don't think either supports or plans to support segwit.

GRS and litecoin are the only coins that have updated to 0.13 codebase to implement segwit, the rest of the coins are still on a older codebase version but only added segwit for HYPE. The rest is done for hype except for GRS and litecoin.
This is false. Vertcoin is on 0.13 codebase and signaling for several weeks. Presumably Syscoin and monacoin have upgraded as well since I think they both hardforked to activate segwit. And I believe guldencoin is on v0.13 and they just choose to not activate segwit at all. I read up on Gulden last night , it looks like they were the first to update to 0.13 along with many other features, I am surprised this coin isn't talked about much on bitcointalk. They doing a project called Prime which might be the reason they didn't implement segwit. im surprised you think anyone would take you seriously with your sockpuppet account and sudden interest about some shitcoin... GRS and Syscoin are my favourites. I never brought up Gulden, jwinterm did. Not to wander too far off-topic, but I wouldn't touch Gulden with a 33 and a half foot pole. If there's only a "so-called community" here, and IRC and reddit are dead, then where is the community actually using the coin? If no one's using the coin, then why would any theoretical institutional investor want to buy dnote's stash? Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining or requesting updates or anything, the whole situation just seems crazy to me - trying to run an ico three years after a coin launched when nearly all coins have been mined, and no one actually uses or cares to discuss said coin besides bellyaching about the price or lack of tweets from dev on shitcointalk.

What is the difference between the traditional wallet and the electrum wallet? I just discovered this coin today and im planning to mine it with my xeon
Electrum wallet is SPV or lightwallet - it doesn't download and verify the entire blockchain. Ty for the explanation, so its like the online wallet of burstcoin I'm not sure about how burstcoin web wallet works, but probably similar. In this case you control your private keys, so there's no risk of web server stealing your coins or MITM attack.

did you manage to withdraw any BTC from Poloniex?
They seem to be automatically deferring any withdrawal requests to "Awaiting Approval"
actually i didn't moved any BTC today, i could try later to move some in the past i didn't had problem (i just had to confirm a link on an email polo send when you want to withdraw) -- Update: just tried to withdraw 0.1 btc, i just had to enter my 2FA 6 digits, confirm the email and now i'm wating the standard bitcoin confirmation time (i see the tx listed as pending in polo transaction history) I had this problem recently, and it was due to two things: 1) I had recently changed ISPs, so I had never made a withdrawal from that IP address before 2) I don't use their 2FA Apparently if you have 2FA, then changed IP addresses doesn't matter, but once you enable it, it won't resolve the issue right away, you have to wait a few days.

Can someone send me an address for the winner I should pay out to? And if they should get 14 or 16 XMR? Floam? Fag Henderson? Bueller?

$100 difference between China and Gdax/Gemini now on Bitcoin: Bitstamp last: 1,077.70, vol: 9,066.7 | BTC-E last: 1,075.60, vol: 9,391.7 | Gemini last: 1,084.77, vol: 4,024.6 | GDAX price: 1,083.00 | Bitfinex last: 1,084.20, vol: 23,954.5 | BTCC last: 988.57, vol: 9,636.7 | Huobi last: 995.16, vol: 9,099.3 | and most alts sagging for last few days. Does this look like BTC pump coming, another round of alt pumping, or flatlining for next week or three? I kind of think flatlining along with BTC drifting below $1k on all exchanges.

Thanks Graham. So, if I read this correctly, 0.85M have been dug, and 1.35M generated by staking, for a total current supply of 2.2M. But does moneysupply represent total diggable clams? Does that mean only about 5% of clams that can be dug have actually been redeemed?

What's the status of percent total that can be dug having been dug? Is there a nice website that shows starts like this?
The client has this information via getinfo. Is there a public facing daemon I can make RPC calls with? Seems a little silly to sync entire blockchain to get the answer to a simple question about a coin I don't currently own any of...

Hi,
I am quite new in the crypto world, and I am a bit lost with distributions. I am really interested with this project and I would like to buy some coins. But I have some doubts..
On 11th Aprill will be the next snapshot (distribution), it means that the price will drop because there will be more coins?
I have read that with 1 BTC you receive 62.5MB (0.0625GB). What is MB or GB? Are them coins?
Do I need to have a Byteball wallet? Is it easy to install for a non tech guy?
Apologies for all these question that might seem a silly ones. I will appreciate any help..
Thank you!!
No one knows that price will drop, but that is what happened last two snapshots I think. Base unit is bytes. MB is one million bytes, GB one billion. So for one BTC you receive 62500000 bytes. You also receive 0.1 bytes for every byte you hold in your linked wallet address. So if you have 100 MB, you will get 10 MB more. You need the wallet and yes it's easy to install.

why can not list byteball at bittrex?
or poloniex?
or some Chinese exchange platform?
this seems one of the most interesting technology this year.
Soon it will be on big exchanges as it has amazing technology so this project will be best of the year. Community is growing very fast that is why soon we will be on top exchanges. the most important reason is this: because Premine is 80% in dev's hand, when distribution will almost done, polo and bittrex will list for sure They have done it in the past even for lower premines so I don't get why this couldn't be listed I also believe that, eventually, exchanges will have to include byteball in their books. I think this is a problem too, but, ripple is listed on both polo and trex, and I think Ripple labs still holding 66% of all ripples, so exceptions have been made.

rethink-your-strategy doesn't appear to be active anymore, but I'd just like to say that the original post in this thread is great detective work! Someone should really do some serious editing of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CryptoNote which misrepresents the whole CryptoNote/Bytecoin story. I'm still around when I get emails about thread updates. That Wikipedia article is fucked and definitely needs editing. Know any Wikipedia editors? Not sure if sarcastic, but anyone can edit Wikipedia articles. That's the whole premise of Wikipedia.

Yes, pls stay on topic #kthnxbye ouch... that was hurt... is this how monero comunity treated their VIP investor I was not hurt, onus was on him. But the monero community will be[hurt], in large numbers, unless the ones currently not in possession of at least some Markka (CK new independent currency), buy it rather soon than too late. How will the XMR community be "hurt"? Some part of XMR's marketcap may transit to Markka, so that the former currency loses value, and the latter gains. Also it is possible that the latter appreciates against the former, even if both go up in the frame of reference. Yea, sounds plausible that a signficant portion of a trustless, private cryptocurrency is going to cash out to buy into your database-controlled dorkbux. Hate to say I agree with volvoya, but please fuck off with your spammy promotion of your shitty WoW gold.
