Everyone should be buying CrownCoin if they know what is good for them Wink
Hey man,

Haven't seen you in a while. What coin did we both support before?
Eh can't remember.

Anyway, glad to see you here. Cheers.

i had to mate ...

i stuffed up the password for the chrysophylax account - then ended up getting banned from the forum because i couldnt remember the answer to the secret question ... being banned meant i had NO access to the forum ...

reported it to theymos ( as instructed ) then a few weeks later to every mod i could find ...

they are about as helpful as tits on a bull ... and about as responsive ... i have yet to hear from theymos or badbear - and have NO response at all from any other mod ... the admins i have heard from 'cant do anything' as theymos and badbear are the only two that CAN do anything at all regarding unbanning and unlocking accounts ... but do you think they have even responded in three months? ... not a chance! ... they dont give a damn about any of the issues ... even though my account was NOT hacked - it was an error on MY part ... but STILL nothing ...

no response - no interest - no resolve ...

so a new profile - and start all over again from newbie - even though i was on hero going on to legendary ...

hence why im starting our own public forum ...

the moderators here that are in power have no intention to do anything about it ...

i just contacted mprep a day ago - and see what he can do ... he seems to be the only moderator that is responding in ANY way ...

though i doubt he can do anything anyway ...

so does that answer your question Smiley ...

#crysx
Oh that's a shame.

I know the only way I have ever gotten a response from Theymos was by having the subject as "Forum Exploit", but that was because I actually did find one. Maybe that might help.

Good luck.

Guys my VPS has gone down and it's going to be deleted. I don't really mind since servicenodes haven't come out yet.

I asked coins101 what he wanted to do with it but he hasn't responded.
I just got a "third and final warning" email.

hi mate ...

what is the vps used for? ...

do you need to save it - or the data / project contained it? ...

if so - let me know what and maybe we could work something out ...

#crysx
I really don't need to save it.
It is probably wiser to wait a while until servicenodes actually get released.

I may have used it as a server for a game my friends were playing, since it wasn't being used for anything else.. Smiley

well - let me know if you change your mind - as i have a few that can be used ...

i dont want to lose any of mine either - so i know what you may be tossing up with the vps ... but if its not important at all - its all good ...

i thought i would offer anyway ... we have all been around for a while now ... and help is only a short distance away if you need it ...

#crysx
Thanks crysx, hey did you make a new account or am I imagining things?

Hey guys, I'm still here if anyone was wondering.

About Mr. Spread (Dev) leaving, did we find out anything about why he left?

We're waiting for your new python skills to come on line   Wink
Haha, well that might... be a problem.

I might get back into it soon though.

Is anyone willing to try and incorporate my new sprite into the game?
I also made a background that is very pleasing and harmonizes with the sprite. The problem is as we all know the current background is tiled.
My new background needs to be stretched to fit the screen, and also the view of the camera should be closer to make the sprite appear larger so that you can appreciate the visual allure of the sprite, which is very cool, I think. Can't compare with current game from a visual perspective, which is void of any visual appeal other than the texture of the asteroids / boulders...

Another problem with my new sprite, which I took quite some effort to make, is that the background is black and so is not going transparent, so is ruining the appearance as you get this sprite with black rectangles around it... The sprite's detail also  cannot be appreciated since the camera is too far and hence the sprite is too tiny to see and appreciate the artistic detail that went into it, there should be a setting function in the game where you can set the camera distance so you can enjoy the visual appeal of my new design - both sprite and background... Anyone able to do this please pm me and I'll send the new graphics. I think it looks very nice, spent a few days on the sprite actually in 2014 or 2015, I don't recall... almost thought I lost the files after HD crash, but found it amazingly enough...
I had a look at the game code and I *think* the .bmp of the bike rider and bike isn't just an ordinary .bmp, but it actually has "objects" inside it that tell the game where the wheels are. Though I'm not 100% sure, can someone check please?
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tau-Chain and Agoras Official Thread: Generalized P2P Network on: April 03, 2016, 10:52:02 AM
Thereby the way is now made clear to cancel all previous coins, redistributing new coins to only the deserving recipients, leaving out completely the stolen coins, except the contingency coins. This truly fits with the principle 'first do no harm' to the vast body of people involved in countless endeavours.

I like this idea, but only because it makes sure that Agoras tokens will not be valued less after this incident.
If some are given away it decreases the value of the current holders' coins because some coins are worth "nothing" due to being freely given away.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tau-Chain and Agoras Official Thread: Generalized P2P Network on: April 03, 2016, 07:37:33 AM
Ok, here is a solution that I think everyone will find agreeable. As per presale terms, Ohad holds a 3% founder share which he may use as he sees fit. 3% of 42M is 1.26M which are or will anyway end up being part of the money supply. In addition, Ohad has expressed his determination to take full responsibility for the loss.

So here is what we can do: Ohad will take the 500k from the founder share and destroy it, reducing the founder share to 726k and the maximum future supply to 41.5M. From that point, the short term situation becomes exactly the same as if Ohad had decided to sell 500k of his holdings, as he is entitled to, and ended up doing a fat finger while doing so. In addition, the max supply has shrinked by 500k regardless of how many coins are effectively sold, which benefits every long term investor.

Now, you may be asking: won't the fact of taking from Ohad's stash risk reducing his amount of skin in the game and therefore affect his motivation for the project?Well in other circumstances it probably would, but remember that in that particular case the vast majority of the stolen money was picked up by Dor who is Ohad's friend. No good friend would pick your lost wallet and refuse to return it and Dor sure seems like a nice and honest guy, so I'm confident he'll push for Ohad to accept the funds back. Now as we have seen, Ohad is also conflicted by the idea that accepting the funds back would be unfair to Dor. Dor's intervention and willingness to return the funds pretty much saved the day, so Ohad owes him a bunch and will probably want to thank him for that. In the end, it's really something that only Ohad and Dor can solve together, and if I dare say, that's really none of our business.
If Dor gives back the 90% he has and ohad buys it off him, ohad only has to destroy 50k coins from his stash.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tau-Chain and Agoras Official Thread: Generalized P2P Network on: April 02, 2016, 11:09:21 PM
thanks klosure!

on a different topic: i was speaking with Dor and he raised the possibility to divide all tokens among all synereo's (amp) holders, either current holders or in their upcoming crowdsale, as it will increase interest in our project. what do you people think?

I honestly think that is a terribly idea .

It will increase interest in free money and dumping , if they are being given away, a large majority wont care about the project
I agree with this. Most holders will treat it as free BTC and probably dump it.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tau-Chain and Agoras Official Thread: Generalized P2P Network on: April 01, 2016, 02:04:50 AM
So is it possible to roll everything back before you sent the 21m?

no rollback is possible. we just create new tokens and give them automatically to all current holders
Ok, will this now make the scammers holdings worthless? Apart from the BTC gained from the dump that is.

Wait so he is giving them back? Great. Let's hope he actually does.

Edit:
Wow 4am, early or late? Either way you're very committed. Good job ohad.
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tau-Chain and Agoras Official Thread: Generalized P2P Network on: March 31, 2016, 11:09:05 PM
Bittrex should roll back all trades with stolen coins. Ohad should recompense them for the amount withdrawn by the scammer and for their fees earned from those trades.
There is no way to reverse the trades.  By the time we were notified, the coins were dumped and the BTC had been withdrawn

thanks,
richie@bittrex
I second that. If possible, bittrex should make a roll back and get compensated for any financial damage caused by withdrawals and such.
I too agree that this is the best and simplest way to handle this matter.

So is it possible for bittrex to roll back trades, ohad compensates lost BTC, then he also rolls back the blockchain before the stolen 21m?
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tau-Chain and Agoras Official Thread: Generalized P2P Network on: March 31, 2016, 01:18:12 PM
Can someone please explain to me in a nice concise paragraph what just happened? I have read the last few pages and I don't understand what's happening. Who scammed ohad?
417  Local / 中文 (Chinese) / Re: Fun-casino - first decentralized Bitcoin casino. on: March 31, 2016, 12:15:17 PM
Welcome to Fun-casino, first decentralized Bitcoin casino.

What does it mean – decentralized? Huh

Decentralized casinos are totally independent and anonymous without any administrators who can interfere either in gaming process or financial relations between casino players.

The purpose of such decisions, which no one controls, is to facilitate the exchange of goods and services between unknown people on the principle of "smart contract"
ensuring justice and fairness once the transaction is finished (transaction between player and fun-casino).

Casino software works on Blockchain technology, which guarantees its players placing bets, winning, and withdrawing their winnings instantly, staying anonymous within the system. All Fun-casino games are based on "Probably Fair" technology, which guarantees fairness of winning/loss.

Casino offers high-quality games from world-famous game providers: Betsoft gaming, Endorphina, Ezugi, Pocket Dice, SoftSwiss. The quality and fairness of games are proven by iTech Labs certificate.

Once all Fair games rules observed, Fun-casino guarantees instant withdrawal to its players. If not, player always has a chance to play again following the rules to get their money back.

Strange concept...
Correct me if i'm wrong, but, decentralised = no one has controll of the funds.
But when i read your description, it looks like fun-casino still has a wallet to which you have to send your coins, so there is centralisation (fun-casino).

Am i missing something here?

Hello,

We do have wallet but it belongs to billing system and automatically goes to user balance. This account is mutual for all users and their winnings are also withdrawn automatically.

This account is on casino code. All further functional details can't be described because of some extra safe measures and kept in secret. Wink

It seems a little centralised to me. So you have control of all of the funds recieved?

Waiting for testnet before getting things moving around here:

As can be seen from our contributions on pushing Dash up the price charts, we can be pretty prolific when we want to be:

Ok, here it is, in all its beauty. Top 50 Posters, all fabulously awesome people.

It includes all 3133 pages, today.

..
Was this ever made;
I will work on a historical visualization, like a time lapse animation, where you will see people appear and disapper, growing over time, stagnate (like tantestefana after the hack), etc...
maybe even visualize who quotes who, etc...

And ultimately: wordclouds.

*Giggity*

419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: March 15, 2016, 11:53:47 PM
Sorry if this has been asked before, but any thoughts on switching from SpreadX11 to a multi-algo approach? Maybe SpreadX11 + SpreadSHA256d + SpreadScrypt + SpreadGroestl + SpreadQubit... something like that?

We might change SpreadX11 in the future to make it more decentralized (more pool-preventive etc...).
We might also change SpreadX11 if it turns out that something is wrong with X11 (who knows?).

Those are the only 2 logical reasons I can think of.

The issue I see, is that Spreadcoin only solves part of the problem, whereas multi-algo solves another part of the problem. Spreadcoin is pool resistant, but it's not resistant to mining farms. Multi-algo, on the other hand, is not pool resistant, but it does offer some small amount of mining farm resistance, which in effect, can lead to significantly greater decentralisation.

So changing from SpreadX11 to Spread-multi-algo wouldn't make it more pool-preventive, but it would make it inarguably the most decentralised coin on the market.
What if we make it so that servicenodes all together host a massive pool that everyone must use to mine. So the rewards all get split between every single miner.  Now that is decentralisation.
