401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is it forbidden to motivate others to buy Bitcoin? on: April 23, 2019, 02:03:51 PM
Reddit is over censored and the moderators on those subreddits have gotten out of control.  I don't visit that site anymore because of this.

Many are hesitant to give friends and family advice about bitcoin in case things go south and they get blamed.  Money can really ruin your personal relationships.
402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have experience betting in a spider fight? on: April 22, 2019, 11:56:58 AM
I am trying my best to not make a dark joke that would certainly be misunderstood.
I can't say that watching spiders fight to the death is something that anyone is going to have a vast amount of experience with. Might be the in the wrong section of the internet for that one.

I'm imagine some creepy scientists in a dark room filming tarantulas fighting to the death.

This is one of the strangest topics I've seen on bitcointalk and I don't doubt that something like this actually goes on in the real world.

404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 22, 2019, 11:35:39 AM

My predictions with Spurs and Nuggets seems working lol.
And oh, at this very moment, Portland is winning against OKC again. Almost 20 points deficit in favor of Portland with less than 5 mins. in the 4th. I can see a 3-1 lead from Portland already. I guess, this is another wrong prediction again. Sad.

The OKC needs to win one game in the road to get this game back to their home court.
I would say it's possible they can win one as they have a good record against this team during the regular season, still the same OKC team and for sure they will play harder this time around as every game is a do or die for them.

IMO, regular season and playoffs are two different stories. The intensity from the playoffs is far more different than the regular season. The OKC may have a good record versus Portland in the regular season, but that doesnt guarantee them a win in a playoff series.
Theres still have a chance for the OKC to comeback from this deficit anyway. But a higher chance for them to be eliminated, as there were only a handful of team to comeback from a 3-1 deficit. Its just so disappointing for the OKC, I was really expecting a 7 game series with their match up.

I respect Westbrook a great deal but I don't think his play style is congruent with leading a team to a championship.

My prediction from the start of the season still golds true, the Warriors will easily win another ring because they are just too talented.  The only real question left is if Durant or Curry will win the Finals MVP.
405  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader for Hire on: April 22, 2019, 11:21:45 AM
Whoever is putting up the initial capital is taking a huge risk.  Trading is not an easy job by any means and even the best of them on Wall Street often failed.  Not long ago the legend George Soros lost over a billion on a failed short position.
406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John "fucking" McAfee: I will reveal Satoshi on: April 22, 2019, 03:23:29 AM
If you have noticed many have already sent him emails trying to state they are Satoshi Roll Eyes
But like wise he's denying all of those imposters and laughing on their emails at his Twitter:

he is not laughing at imposters, he doesn't give a crap if they try to pull an identity fraud. he is laughing at imposters who forgot to also offer him money for his support. because that is why he started this twitter drama, to get someone to pay him to "reveal" him as Satoshi!

Thought Johnny boy already had enough money from all those pump and dumps he was promoting.  Also factor in the millions he got from selling his company, guess this guy really loves his drugs and mansions.

Also don't forget about his bet where he said he would eat a part of his body if bitcoin didn't reach 1 million......
407  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Multiple Bomb blasts in Srilanka - churches and hotel. on: April 22, 2019, 03:10:41 AM
My heart goes out to the families that were affected and to @Elwar, I hope he/she is safe.

Damn, it's really devastating news to see, it's like the world is continuously degrading to the "animals" that we are. I saw a recent post where the humans are degrading animal life also, disrupting the natural cycle. I saw in a post that if animals have a religion, Humans are the evil things that inhabit the world.

What really irritates me is that its only a small percentage of humans that are truly evil but they are the ones that hold all the power.  Those psycho types are able to manipulate their way up to the top and feel zero sympathy for others.
408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keeping Your Cryptocurrency Wallet Secure on: April 22, 2019, 03:03:57 AM
Maybe talk more about your physical security and have a plan to defend yourself if an attacker gets violent.  I realize not everyone is up to this sort of thing but it is important to at least think about.  We keep hearing about these investors that are tortured until they give up their private keys.
409  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says 79% of cryptocurrency event attendees are men on: April 22, 2019, 02:59:37 AM
People are focusing on the wrong issues, nothing is ever going to be even among races or genders.  Just accept that fact that certain groups of people tend to like different things.  No reason to cause a stink about this, its like the people that always play the race card when something seems unfair.
410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will we reach first 100M market capitalization or 18M BTC in circulation? on: April 22, 2019, 02:53:08 AM
Op made an obvious mistype and a 100 billion marketcap for bitcoin is nothing.  I'm waiting for the day when bitcoin will be in the trillions as it takes a large share of global currency use.  Prices will begin to become much more stable when we reach those heights so you can so goodbye to the crazy volatility at that point.
411  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Invest now? or wait for down turn? on: April 21, 2019, 01:39:23 PM
Why not just make dollar cost average and buy for lets say 10% of your investment every week/month . To catch most lowest price will be quite hard , but no impossible . I think best would be just to split some of your investment each week and buy Smiley

This is a strategy I definitely recommend, I would never suggest going in unless the price is so stupidly cheap you can't possibly lose and those opportunities are far and few between.
412  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any free trading bots out there? on: April 21, 2019, 01:35:14 PM
Any of those free trading bots out there aren't worth your time, I wouldn't even trust the paid ones.  If something was this successful the creator would use it himself instead of trying to push it on other people.  Don't fall for the hype and if something sounds too good to be true it usually is.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some unique advantages of online gambling ? on: April 21, 2019, 01:29:18 PM
Keeping your identity private is probably possible only with blockchain gambling. I doubt if centralized gambling have a way of preventing governments from attacking them in any way

Well most online casinos that deal in crypto are requiring KYC.  That is inevitable as more regulations get slammed down on exchanges and other crypto services.  Don't plan on staying private when using bitcoin either unless you are really careful with your tracks and use mixers.
414  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is urgent. Argentina is printing free money too on: April 21, 2019, 01:24:49 PM
I am not surprised. Typical Latin American country with Socialist government, and as usual they have run out of money. The people in that part of the world have a tendency to vote for governments that offer freebies. No one wants to work hard and if someone has the balls to stop the freebies and subsidies, then he'll lose the elections.

Wow make some more baseless assumptions. Those so called capitalistic paradises like United States has a lot of homeless people living in tents and eating out of trash cans.  This isn't the fault of socialism, its because of corrupt people in power.  No matter how good a system is in place if corrupt or stupid people are in charge it will fail.
415  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 4/20 reform on: April 21, 2019, 01:20:09 PM
Give people who misbehave money. Yeah, that's brilliant (sarcasm).

Most of this behavior is because a lack of money though.  Majority of crimes are because people are in dire financial stress  Not saying I agree with Yang completely or anything but  spending more each year on a prisoner to keep them locked up instead of trying to actually turn their lives around is stupid.  I don't believe any victimless crimes should ever be punished as the consequences only fall on that one person.
416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Deep Dive Into Bitcoin's Scarcity on: April 21, 2019, 01:11:35 PM
How do you know how how much Bitcoin has been lost? There is no way of telling as far as I know. What may look like lost Bitcoin to you may be long term holders. Atleast we have seen the kind of long term holders move part of unmoved Bitcoin all of a sudden

By the way, the satoshi 1 million Bitcoin is just a speculation. No one is certain how much he really owns

I've read a lot of reports on the estimated amount of lost bitcoins and it is definitely in the millions.  Think of how many people had btc when it had no value, would you put any effort into keeping it secure? Doubt you would just how they did.  It would be really heart wrenching to have lost thousands of bitcoins only to find them worth millions in the future. Roll Eyes
417  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Minimum wage salary from real job compare to crypto earning which is better? on: April 21, 2019, 01:01:46 PM
it’s really hard to compare. It depends on your knowledge. If you are expert in crypto then i can say that crypto earning is better than real job.I know few peoples from India and USA they are expert in crypto.some times they earn 5-6 btc one day. This is huge money. So actually it’s depends on your knowledge.

Not sure what they are doing to earn 5-6 btc a day, the only way I know of making that much is getting lucky with high leverage or getting extremely lucky with some really obscure altcoin.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW SHOULD A BOUNTY BE........ on: April 21, 2019, 12:52:20 PM
Your better off if the service pays in a trustworthy crypto like bitcoin and ethereum.  Accepting new coins/tokens as payment is extremely risk and you will be unlikely to cash it out due to low liquidity.  Remember that it takes very little effort to create a new token.
419  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Debit Card on: April 21, 2019, 12:44:13 PM
A bitcoin debit card defeats the purpose of bitcoin since its supposed to be used without middlemen.  I guess its an ok option if thats the only way someone has to spend bitcoin right now because total merchant adoption is still very low.
420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on an insect fight? on: April 20, 2019, 02:23:29 PM
Never heard of anything like this but I imagine if you can think of it someone has bet on it before.  Some of these hardcore gamblers are willing to bet on anything.  I'm not in favor of anything that leads to animals dying, I know cock fighting is very popular in some countries but it saddens me. Sad
