401  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: support and resistance lines on: October 03, 2017, 12:45:23 PM
Some points on this. You can identify the support and resistence lines for yourself. or can rely on indicators such as fibonaci lines. The point here is that indicators are based on history, and market history is not very consistent in crypto. They also rely on volume, and most cryptos have low volume. Another point is that no indicator as proven itīs worth when used alone.

So i wouldīnt  rely on support and resistence lines alone.

As for time frame, you have to adjust the time frame on the type of trading you are looking for. Shorter time frames for shorter terms is the rule of thumb.
402  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Intraday Trading on: October 03, 2017, 12:40:25 PM
There are some oportunities yes. Sometimes small volume exchanges take a while to ajust the price t quick and big market moves. HOWEVER, that happens because there are few trades so itīs not easy to take advantage of that. Sometimes it happens between countries. Some exchanges that are very focussed on local /regional business can experience price differences. IMO with the slow speed of transations is very risky to try to arbitrage. The majorit of times you will be a late arrival.
403  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Amount of BTC for trading on: October 03, 2017, 08:01:53 AM
Hey there!
I would like to ask you what you concider a good amount of bitcoins for daily short term speculations. How do you think what is the good number for beginers / advanced / experienced traders? Or maybe it if better not to short and just buy some of any good alts and wai for a pump (like some days or weeks)?

There is no fixed number. Just take into consideration some basic rules. Only trade/invest what you can afford to loose. And then consider short term trading much riskier than holding, so donīt trade ALL your portfolio. Keep 50% in "safer" holding like your hard wallets, and trade the rest diversifying in the type of coins and type of investment.
404  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to start to trade bitcoin? on: October 02, 2017, 11:08:12 AM
every beginner must be afraid of loss in trading bitcoin.
do you have any suggestions or feedback on how to successfully trade bitcoin?
Take a small stash of coins and put in margin trading lending on poloniex or bitfinex. That way you will spend time on the exchange looking on how it works, getting small profit without exposing yourself to big risk. When you feel confortable start by trading high volume coins. and By conformtable i mean you aquired some knowlegde of the market itself, the involved coins and the trading platform.
405  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin successfully defeated China on: October 02, 2017, 11:03:49 AM
Bitcoin has pumped back to $4000 and up, without no chinese markets involved, proving that we can survive government bans. I am very confident now in a strong recovery to an ATH. Once we reach ATH in a post-Chinese ban environment, we are going to prove to the world that bans on Bitcoin are useless, so they will either join us or keep getting exposed.

I predict chinese exchanges will eventually be back under regulated licenses, pumping the price even further. Get in now or cry later.
they will be back regulated. And one of the biggest points of the regulations will be partial ownership for some of the comunist party guys. In the end this is all about geting a piece of the pie. And the chinese government, being comunist non democratic can easily nationalize part of the business and then continue to gain with "foreign" capitalism.
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: October 02, 2017, 07:24:34 AM
Why is mooning? some news? Huh

Everything is recovering from the early september correction, also maybe part of the reason is that people are finally realizing the potential komodo has...

People accumulating KMD ready for the monaize ico on the 20th so they get the 20% bonus.

They havent really kicked off their promotion yet but when they do the scramble for KMD will increase driving the price up.
price can double

This is exactly what I've been telling my friends over Facebook and Whatsapp. Buy KMD now while the price is comparatively low, and it can be double by 20th. If you want to make money in short time.

Where do you see this Monaize ICO? Any link to it and why it will affect KMD? Sorry, I've never got involved with KMD before.

Monaize is a bank that is going to do an dICO on the Komodo platform for their ICO. For the first x hours/day, you get 20% bonus MNZ tokens if you enter with Komodo.
In the event it sells out, it would mean that KMD would have been the only way to participate
Now, there is a decision to be made. Do i want to keep my KMD or spend it in monaize dICO... niot that easy a dcision right now. Are you guys considering spending your long stash of KMD or put "new" money to monaize?
407  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin loss? on: October 02, 2017, 07:21:28 AM
One thing always came on my mind when I entered the world of Bitcoin.
Fiat are issued with registered numbers and recycles in the name of new currency, making the old obsolete.
i.e. They never get destroyed even if the physical notes gets burned and decayed.

But bitcoin are totally different, they can be lost
- sending to unsupported address
- loosing private keys
- people dying with private keys, etc.
Which will keep on decreasing the total available supply of the coin. making it more scarce.
Won't that bring a problem the the economics, no coins left to trade situations?
Of course this is an issue. But only if you look at BTC as a "currency" for everyday transactions. But for what we are seeing now, BTC is not heading that way. It is not looking to have the price stability a currency need. so Itīs become more of a store of value asset, while we keeping believing in the tech. For that , being the smaller unit a satoshi i think we will have enough for a long time before the "lost" coins become a problem.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 01, 2017, 10:02:25 PM
so many people mining monero right now.. (include browser mining) this coin skyrocket its popularity so does with the price.. what next? will it beat eth in the future?

Scroll up a bit. There have been plenty of posts  about this kind of speculation. I like the post where Aminorex informs us of our retirement year:) Something about surpassing ETH and then BTC:) With serenity and for me with some diversity, but with a strong aim on staking up XMR.
409  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coins good for trading? on: October 01, 2017, 03:52:34 PM
If "for trading" you mean short term trading, i would definitely go for :

1- High volume
2- High number of trades
3- Coin that i would not mind keeping long if things so badly.

Number 3 can be good to give you peace of mind if you end up with a bag. But it could make you keep the coins beyond a point of no return. So consider a stop loss level.
410  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: October 01, 2017, 03:30:36 PM
Summer 2012. Diablo 3. I bought in game gold with bitcoin @ $3/btc - Spent 90 coins for 500 million in game gold.

IGG = 35 cents / million now.

I lose.

/wrist
I have to quote two. Not buying more. I had some money available at 600$ and bought a house with partial bank mortgage. I should have gone into BTC and then buy it pronto:) number two was entering a BTC scma a few years ago and loosing a full coin. Peanuts then, but something if it had stayed quitely in my wallet.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins Under $1 on: September 30, 2017, 10:26:58 PM
The op thought is not out of logic. Of course you have to look at many factors before you dive in. But cheaper coins that one day will be big ones of course would be great bet.

The problem is...are you really holding a coin from 10c to 5k? how many "original" BTC, bought ate very very low prices are in the same hands.

What i mean is holding for 100x or 1000X is very difficult. You will have an urge to sell before that. Itīs only normal..

For a direct answer: DGB, XBY, STR (Stellar). KMD at 2,2 $ still feels very cheap.

415  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin - Can it boost or break a countries economy? on: September 29, 2017, 03:23:34 PM
Most countries are in full control of their own monetary policies and financial systems. If a alternative currency is introduced, would this improve or reduce the efficiency of a country?

Will this remove their control or would it be just another payment option, like PayPal?

Why are governments so scared of Bitcoin, if they can regulate it's use. The first defensive tool seem to be banning the technology, which in my opinion should be the last resort. Should they not analyse the threat based on proper research and public participation. < like they did in Canada > and then make harsh decisions like this?

Why are they ignoring the advantages that this technology might bring and implement extreme precautions as a primary action?

Is Bitcoin really such a big threat to them or are they just misinformed on purpose? < influenced externally by people with hidden agendas >

Let's discuss this please.

I believe the problem is with the fear of decentralization. We are aware that a small few control the large majority of fiat money available. If BTC would be widely used there would be several new players coming to game and could or would mess with the established finantial system. The other major point is pure ignorance. People just donīt understand the grasp of the tech and the few that even heard of BTC would reply : "money laundry? drugs?blackmarkets?"
416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day Trading on: September 29, 2017, 10:53:54 AM
I've been thinking for a bit about day trading Bitcoin, and am curious, what is a good amount to start with? Would it be possible to start with maybe $100-200 and work my way up?

Sorry if i'm posting in the wrong section, pretty new to forums here.

IT is possible. FOr me daytrading is safer if you attend to two rules. DOnīt be greedy. Aim for small profit at a time. And trade BTC for coins you believe long term. If you are learning, you will "loose" . So if you get stuck with a coin you believe long term you will not be sweating and panic selling at losses.
417  Economy / Economics / Re: Investment for Bitcoins on: September 29, 2017, 10:52:00 AM
BTC Anyone got idea for investing in bitcoins than bitcoin mining which is already dead?

Also not the captcha thingy faucet which needs thousands of clicks for just 0.0000XX btc per harvest?

Thank you Cheesy
BTC is an investment for itself . If buy investing you mean growing your BTC and you are willing to risk not controling the private keys of your coins there are several options:

Short trm trade against USDT or altcoins.
Trade it for cheaper coins that you feel will give you more percentual growth.
Lending: margin trading lending on polo or bitfinex
Buying coins/tokens that give a dividend or profit sharing themselves. Like TAAS.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy again? on: September 29, 2017, 10:46:17 AM
http://coinmarketcap.com/

Seems altcoin drop has slowed down and many of them are recovering. It seems downfall is over for now, but since they are slowly rising, I guess it's time to buy now before they recover too much?
If history repeats itself we are past the lowest buying point and the market is already in the recovery fase until the end of the year. But because the Dip was so strong i think we still have so many good coins at good price...including BTC
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum on: September 29, 2017, 10:44:22 AM
it is undoubtedly that the main competitor of the Bitcoin is indeed the Ethereum  Kiss
thank you
cordialy  Cheesy
If you are talking about trading and speculation it is indeed the number 2 and is trying to compete with BTC. If your are talking about the Entry gate cryptocurrency for this new business it is the number two and with so many icoīs basewd on ETH people start to discover crypto thrue ETH and not solely BTC.
However they are two very different products and if we are looking at the wonderfull world of wide accepted blockchain based cryptocurrencies there is now competition as BTC was designed to be a currency ( of course we now know it has many flaws) and ETh a smart contract platform. So i donīt see direct competition there.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to place token after ICO on: September 29, 2017, 07:31:44 AM
Hey everyone, please help.

Which exchanges are placing new tokens for trading?
Maybe someone had an ICO not long ago, could you please tell where have you placed your token?
What prices and conditions do exchanges have?

Thanks for help!

Muito favorit post ico exchange is liqui.io. Some support issues as others and some tokens have hi fees. Like taas for instante they charge o e full taas for withdrawal. But overall i feel its good for post ico small volume tokens.
