The selection of Prasidh Krishna doesn't make any sense. He was not that impressive during last year's IPL. Went for plenty of runs, although he had a couple of good outings. Also I believed that Ishan Kishan deserved a chance in the ODI squad as well, as he was dropped from the T20 playing XI after just two matches. One of the positives is the return of T Natarajan, who will add more variety to the otherwise monotonous bowling attack.
Prasidh Krishna inclusion in the squad is for ODI series, T-20 or IPL record doesn't matter atm because he has been performing quite well in the Vijay Hazare Trophy consistently. 3 back to back good season, hence maiden India call up.

If Vijay Hazare Trophy was the main reason for Krishna's inclusion in the ODI then I fear Prithvi Shaw will not be getting a another chance in the future. His performance in Vijay Hazare Trophy was quite good but his inconsistency in International cricket might be the reason he did not get a chance this time or may be in the future.
To those who think Indian team is weak and is struggling, today's batting is a reply to your negative thoughts. This indian batting line-up has proved once again they have talent. What an incredible batting by Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, as a fan I would want them to open the Indian innings in the world cup. Yadav has made it clear that he is the number 3 . I little bit of shuffling and the English team is on the downside. I hope the Indian bowlers do their job efficiently.

Look at the bright side, third umpiring has been pretty much below average in this tour so it can't get worse than that.

About on field umpiring; its hard for on field umpire to judge even close call on wickets in real time. Judging clean catches on boundary from square or bowler end are impossible, that's why soft signal becomes important. On field umpire went with the fielder reaction and gave out as soft signal. He could have said "I'm not sure" as Virat mentioned. Third umpire was on weeds that's a only explanation i could find for this incident.

On second note i have a feeling that we have less amount of camera angles in this series when comparing to IPL.
What he might try to tell was that, we need to get rid of the mandatory soft signal, this is a classic example. The third umpire did not have any camera angles to make a concrete decision and the rules says that if there is a doubt the decision will favor the batsman. But when it goes to the third umpire and the on field umpire gives a soft signal out, then the on field umpire decision stays even if there is no clarity even with multiple replays and in this instance there is no way the on field umpires can view clearly and make a decision 50 meters away from him.
Due to the 'soft signal' rule the former cricketers criticized on third umpire's choice. Suryakumar Yadav's dismissal has started a debate as umpire made a controversial decision. How can be this out when it obviously shown the ball contacted the grounds. This rule needs to be changed.
It was clearly evident that the ball did hit the ground. What made the third umpire doubt the visual. I am sure he might have some issues with his eye sight. There is nothing to debate about this umpire, it would be good if ICC exempts him from umpiring in international cricket.

He basically commited scam and therefore the sentencing is justified. I hope this sentencing should reform him so that he does not commit such crimes in the future. This should also be an eye opener for those who have committed scams in the past or are planning to commit in the future, that you cannot escape the law.

Just because KL Rahul is not able to bat does not mean Indian team is struggling. Every team has home advantage but it still does not mean home team will dominate the series. A lot of new players are being tested in this T20 series before the T20 worldcup which I think is a good idea before Indian selectors sit and choose the final worldcup squad.

It is not just KL Rahul. Rohit Sharma has scores of 12 and 15 so far in the T20 series. Virat Kohli was dismissed for single digits three times in his last 5 innings (twice for 0, and 1 in his last match). Shikhar Dhawan is also not in great touch recently (he was a failure even during the recent domestic tournaments - Vijay Hazare Trophy & Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy). Right now, I would say that Rishabh Pant is the only batsmen who is being consistent.
Unless these seniors stop performing how will you know which newbie is better. I think it is a great opportunity for new boys to concrete their presence in the national team. In due time most of the seniors will either be dropped and eventually they will retire and these boys will then take their seat.

But it still does not mean that Indian team is struggling, it's is just that a few batsmen are not in form.
4126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ADA and eth competitors get dumped if/when Ethereum 2.0 comes out? on: March 20, 2021, 03:37:30 AM
None of them will be getting dumped that is for sure. Majority of Ethereum users are switching to BSC because of high transaction fee but they are not dumping Ethereum. ADA is a good project but since it is cheap people are investing in it and therefore you can see a pump in its price. Watchout for BNB it might get pumped hard this year.

P.S - I am not promoting BNB.
4127  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price would hit $288,000 this year, according to this metric on: March 19, 2021, 06:46:40 AM
From 2017 till today I have been hearing a lot of price prediction and frankly speaking non of them were correct. If it was that easy to predict Bitcoin price most of us here would have been Bitcoin millionaire. We all know it will reach to the moon and we can see everyday what is happening therefore there is no need to create a FOMO around the price.

There not enough evidence that proves that this project is a scam. The only thing that bothers me is that using the app on your mobile phone can cause data theft.

My question to those who have installed this app and are mining.
When you installed this app for the first time did itnasknfor permission to access other apps. If it did then there could be a problem.

Otherwise I do not see any issue.

I was using www.bitcoinker.com. For the last couple of days the website returns an error message "Error establishing a database connection". Can anyone tell me if it is a routine error message or something is not right.

Is this site legit or scam.

I have not heard about this website.

I am also getting the same message when I tried to visit this website. This kind of error generally comes on website using wordpress CMS. It is a common error message which basically means that the website is broken.

I can only confirm you that the domain was bought in 2014 and will expire by end of this year. I cannot confirm you whether this website is legit or not as you have not told what service were you using from them.

Pandya bowled well, but the best bowler was Bhuvi all the way just like in recent matches. After Bumrah, I regard him as the best death bowler in Indian cricket currently.

I guess the England batsmen came prepared to face spin, but they were undone by the medium pace of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya. On the other hand, the spinners were disappointing yesterday, perhaps with the exception of Rahul Chahar. It was a close match though and if England managed to restrict India to under 180, then they could have easily won the match.

The way Yadav and Panth batted I do not think it was possible for England to restrict the Indian team score under 180. It would not have been a closed matched if the Indian spinner duo were able to utilise the pitch. Shardul Mishra for me was the star bowler of yesterday's match and not Bhuvaneshwar kumar or Hardik Pandya. In the end after losing the toss India did win the match.
4131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 19, 2021, 05:38:13 AM
I am yet to see a strong performance from New Zealand outside their home ground advantage and India does have a strong team but they are not playing with their strongest team in recent times, they might be experimenting to get the right combination or whatever but i said what i said with the established team they will be playing during the World cup.

India do have a very strong lineup, but they are struggling against England in the ongoing T20 series, although they are having the home advantage. Everything else is working for India - spin/pace bowling, middle order batting.etc. But the openers are not in good form. KL Rahul had yet another pathetic outing yesterday, and Kohli wants to stick with him instead of giving opportunity to some of the younger players such as Shubman, Devdutt, Ishan Kishan or Prithvi Shaw.

Pollard is a T20 specialist, but nowadays the 50-over format is also becoming more like T20. Totals in excess of 350 are no longer rare in this format. Only negative is that he is not consistent. Also, he doesn't have the patience to stay at crease for some time, if the situation demands that. He is really good if he comes out to bat after the 40th over in an ODI. But if the team is in trouble and needs to build a partnership, then Pollard is not the most suitable person.
Pollard can hit the ball and never seen him performing that well in international matches even though he is a power house in T20 franchise cricket but now he is showing maturity when he was given the captaincy as he performed decently well and the big test will be if his team plays against England, Australia and New Zealand and if he could come out with the same performance and lead from the front he might continue till the next World cup.

@bryant.coleman he doesn’t need to last till the end of the innings to do the damage, because irrespective of the situation if he plays his natural game then he can single handedly win them the games. @ene1980 he should definitely perform well in the T20 World Cup, because he’s performed well in India during IPL, and this time the T20 World Cup is in India hence I feel he’ll deliver for WI in the T20 World Cup.

Pollard is a hard hitter if he stays in pitch for just a couple of overs he can destroy the opponent team. With captainship on his shoulders, he is not playing any risky shot. That is why you are seeing a different pollard on the field. He did play very well in the last IPL and I do not think he will have any issues in the upcoming T20 world cup.

Pretty sure I like the crowd-noise when watching Live match, I don't touch the button off. If player noise only, I feel like watching the training games. I will be feeling sad if lost the bet either, If you felt the same as me, you will also don't felt anything when you lose the match, you will enjoy it.

Some bettor enjoys watching the games while betting.

I have watched few games without the background noise of the crowd, it is very weird as you are accustomed to those loud noises. You will hear few voices, those are the players talking to each other and of course the commentary. You will lose interest at some point if the game is not engaging. Whereas those artificial crowd noises sometimes do irritate if not done properly by the broadcaster. This is the new normal in this pandemic situation you cannot do anything until things go back to what it used to be before the pandemic.

1st T-20 - Eng won the toss and  won convincingly.
2nd T-20 - Ind won the toss and again one-sided game
3rd T-20- - Eng won the toss and duh...

This Eng vs Ind T-20 series setting a weird template. Strategy from the both captains is, let's win the toss and ball first, easy peasy  Grin . 3 games and we are yet to watch any real contest, let's hope this pattern ends here.
The pattern continues, Virat Kohli will be praying to win the toss so that he will be able to chase and level the series. The toss is a major part and the pitch might be easier to chase at night. During the IPL it will be interesting to see whether the pattern continues and most probably if matches are played here i will pick the team chasing  Grin.
That's a good prediction for selecting odds. Today the fourth T20 is taking place on the same Narendra Modi Stadium. With this match we can get into the conclusion about the odds selection. You could try betting on today's match once after the toss. Team chasing will be the winner.

Yeah, last three matches the team that won the toss won the match. There are still two more matches left in this tournament and I hope this situation changes with the two upcoming matches. Except for Virat Kohli every Indian team player and fans will be praying for him to win the toss.

2nd T-20 Ind vs Eng
India won the toss and they are going to ball first, its a same ground. Ishan Kishan and Surya Kumar Yadav are making their debut, replacing Sikhar and Axar (Looks like Sikhar is dropped). For England Sam Curran replacing Mark Wood.
England had a pretty decent start and i have a doubt regarding the Indian team, i remember Ashwin known as a T20 specialist in the beginning of his career and why is he not in the team. There are new players in the Indian team and it is confusing sometime to follow all these changes. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is back in the team but what happened to Jasprit Bumrah and why is he not in the team.
It is okay to make changes, other players should also be given a chance. Chahal has been bowling good and same for Pandya. Rishab panth is a great asset for the team, good to see Bhuvaneshwar kumar coming back. I think Bhimraj is injured and that is why he is not playing.

Jason Roy was batting very well, unfortunately he lost his wicket because of a Brilliant catch by Kumar. England down with three wickets.

What do you all think? Should Kohli give up being captain?
In shorter format, yes but he doesn't want to.  Grin

If i have to speculate then 1% chance if India fails to perform in 2021 T-20 WC but IMO the only real chance is after 2023 50 overs World Cup. Other than that i don't see any other scenario where he's giving up captaincy willingly.
But who can be the captain even if himself wants to step down from the captaincy? There is no competitor at all for that position now. Maybe Rohit Sharma can do the job?

There is always a vice captain in the team who can take over the role of the captain and Rohit Sharma is a good choice. Also it will help the Indian team to develop a new captain who may represent them  in the next few years.
Everyone wants him to resign from captaincy Grin
But, he will never why would he?
As a captain he gets paid more and also gets more advert. The money he earns will go down if he resign from captaincy. BCCI will not remove him now as he is their favourite. RCB does not intends to change him as he is the captain of Indian team.
4140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 14, 2021, 12:42:39 PM
Sean Williams and Donald Tiripano played an exceptional innings and Donald Tiripano missed out his century by just 5 runs and it was unfortunate as he could have reached that milestone and now they are all out for 365 runs and have a lead of just 107 runs which i think Afghanistan can score easily and there is plenty of time left for them to reach that score.

They managed a lead of more than 100 runs, but Afghanistan won the match eventually by 6 wickets. If Zimbabwe had managed to score another 30-35 runs, then it would have got really interesting. Because the Afghan batsmen really struggled during the last innings. A few more runs by the Zimbabwean tail enders could have made the difference. Anyway, all credit to Afghanistan for registering another test win.

I donot think an extra 30 to 35 runs would have done anything different. Afganistan would have easily won this test match without any problem. They are still inconsistent but it can be easily taken care of with experience. They should be given more opportunities to play with big teams. Great bowling by Rashid Khan, this guys also created a record by bowling the most number of overs in a single test.
