421  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of war on global economy. on: November 08, 2023, 07:37:42 PM
Wars doesnt harm every country. i think some of the country gets benefited because of it.

And what are the benefits that other countries get from war, if not the chaos, fear, and trembling of some citizens, which can cause them to have some health issues? Even if a country does win a war, it doesn't make the economy better during that time. Things don't normally work well for that period until war is over, and there might even be some restrictions during that period, which can make some workers stop working, some companies stop production, and short down at that moment. If war lingers for so long, it can cause more harm to the economy of that country.

That war is a purely destructive process, no one argues. But there is a more important indicator - the conclusions and reaction.
In technical terms, it is not so much the errors in the system that are critical as the lack of reaction of the system to these errors.
I.e. it is very important - what will be the reaction of the world, in order to prevent the recurrence of similar problems in the future. Because in addition to the huge number of human casualties and destruction of entire regions in Ukraine, this war has created real global problems in the world economy. It is true that this is already a topic of economic terrorism, but the world must develop solutions against it as well.

Not really war... but sanctions! Sanctions have caused issues and continue affecting global economy in the most negative way. Only people with room temperature IQ still believe that sanctions actually cause any significant effect on Russia and will stop Putin.
422  Economy / Economics / Re: USA: 50 years since the beginning of the oil embargo on: November 06, 2023, 09:36:44 PM
Not bad news for the market - the UAE made the logical decision, and opposed the aggression of Hamas and their supporters. This means that the largest supplier of oil to the world market will not adhere to the concept of "economic terrorism" against the world economy.

"The UAE condemned Hamas' attack on Israel and hostage-taking
The UAE's stance differs markedly from the comments of most other Arab countries in the region, which held Israel responsible."

PS The basis is the Israeli-Emirati peace treaty, also the Abrahamic Treaty, - a treaty on normalization of relations between the State of Israel and the United Arab Emirates, signed on September 15, 2020. The UAE chooses development and the rules of the civilized world.

They have also condemned Israel's war crimes. Cruel, merciless airstrikes on hospitals, schools, universities, ambulances etc...

Btw, embargoes don't work and never did. Here's the latest proof:

A Western price cap on Russian oil meant to curb Moscow’s war spending is increasingly losing its punch.

The latest evidence: Oil and gas tax revenue to the Russian budget in October more than doubled from September and rose by more than a quarter from the same month last year, according to data released Friday. That represents a stark turnaround from the beginning of the year when energy revenues tumbled.

Quote
The rise in Russian oil prices suggests the cap is increasingly unenforceable, the World Bank said in a recent report.

Quote
“It looks like the energy windfall will allow the government to step up its war effort without additional financing strains,” said Liam Peach, senior emerging-market economist at Capital Economics.

SNIP

Todays semi finals are:

Dimitrov v Tsitsipas - I wouldnt bet on this one, Dimitrov could well beat Tsitsipas
but also Tsitsipas could actually make it to the final.

Djokovic v Rublev - I cant see Djokovic losing this and either playing Tsitsipas or Dimitrov
in the final will mean he will beat either of the two.

Wow they were some semifinal matches, both went to 3 sets each and both had tie breakers.
As I kind of suspected Dimitrov beat Tsitsipas or maybe its more that Tsitsipas lost the match?
For a top player who has have some many great things written about him he isnt really delivering.
Anyway Dimitrov is really performing well this year and is in the final against Djokovic who had
a tough match yesterday against Rublev 5-7, 77-63, 7-5

The odds for today are not outragous: Djokovic 1.31 - 3.5 Dimitrov

Is it worth a bet on Dimitrov? maybe under 24.5 @ 1.64...

Yeah, Djokovic v Rublev was one hell of a match. Watched it yesterday, the level of both players was extremely high, some serve returns by Djokovic were out of this world...

On a not so positive note, my combo bet yesterday didn't work because of some undisclosed Greek player  Grin

Meanwhile in Cancun, semifinals of WTA Finals tournament went on. Jessica Pegula breezed past compatriot Gauff 6:2, 6:1. Second semifinal Swiatek-Sabalenka was suspended at 2:1 in favor of Swiatek.

The answer is simple. This is one of the terrorists' "technologies" - to hide and cover themselves as civilians, exposing them to attacks, in order to create a flow of information in the media and "show evil". Such behavior is displayed by all terrorists - from MAHASA to terrorist troops of Russia ! And in the latter case even their so to speak president (in fact the head of the terrorist gang, an international criminal), openly said that they would put civilians of Ukraine in front of their terrorist fighters, and "let's see what they will do". This speech of the international criminal Putin V.V. is easy to find on YouTube Smiley
Also terrorists place their strike teams among residential buildings, and even in apartments of apartment buildings, for terrorist strikes - this is how Hamas launched rockets at Israel, the video is also easy to find.
Whether you read my posts or not is up to you, I don't care what you do Smiley The most important thing is that everyone knows who the terrorist are, what they are doing, and what they are responsible for. And the most important thing is that peaceful Gazans are dying, being framed by the very hands of Hamas.... So all questions about who and how they use Gaza's civilians, and what they die as a result of - ask Hamas....
I love how the Palestine topic makes these Ukrainian trolls feel like ants on a hot pan! So many lies and desperate attempts to justify Israel's war crimes (confirmed by the UN btw) in order to cover Uncle Sam's ass...  Grin

Don't tell me all these THOUSANDS of children killed by Israel were Hamas fighters. The hospital was full of Hamas fighters? This is just laughable excuse. Israel killed more civilians and children in particular than Putin in 1.5 years of war.

Quote
The UN Children’s Fund, or UNICEF, on Tuesday raised the alarm over the rising number of child deaths in the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, when Israel-Palestine tensions flared into an armed conflict.

"Our gravest fears about the reported numbers of children killed going from dozens into hundreds into thousands have been realized in just a fortnight," UNICEF spokesperson James Elder told a UN press briefing in Geneva, lamenting that the death toll among minors had exceeded 3,450.

"Staggeringly, this number rises significantly every single day," Elder warned, saying that Gaza "has become a graveyard of children. It is a living hell for everyone else."

Elder reiterated UNICEF's call for an immediate cease-fire and humanitarian access to supplies for the enclave, saying children in Gaza are dying not only due to airstrikes but also because of lack of needed medical care.

"And yet the threats to children go beyond bombs," he said, underling that water and trauma were among other threats faced in besieged Palestinian enclave.

He warned that more than 1 million children of Gaza faced a critical water crisis as Gaza's daily water output was at 5% of its production capacity.

"So, child deaths to dehydration, particularly infant deaths to dehydration, are a growing threat," he said.

On trauma, the spokesperson said: "When finally the fighting stops the cost to children and their communities are going to be borne out for generations to come."

Elder stressed that before the current conflict began, more than 800,000 children in Gaza — three quarters of its entire child population — were identified as in need of mental health and psychological support.

Since last weekend the Israeli army has widened its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip – including houses and hospitals – which has been under relentless airstrikes since the surprise offensive by the Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7.

More than 10,000 people have been killed in the Gaza conflict, including 8,306 Palestinians and more than 1,538 Israelis, and also including 3,457 children in Gaza, according to official figures.

An Israeli blockade of the strip has also cut Gaza off from fuel, electricity, and water supplies, and reduced aid deliveries to a small trickle unable to satisfy the needs of the over 2 million Palestinians there.

Quote from: DrBeer
By the way, a question for everyone: can anyone tell me why countries and groups that supposedly "care about the people of Gaza" do not accept them? Iran, Lebanon, and other supporters of terrorists do not accept Gazans in their countries, do not provide them with funding, do not provide them with housing.... But they continue to fund Hamas. Isn't that an amazing situation ?

Listen, I knew that you were retarded but this is too much. Take a look at the map, bozo! You see where Gaza strip is located? How in the world these poor guys will get out of there?   Huh

Another question is why they should leave their Motherland, the place where they were born and raised? Leave their old parents and young children behind? I think it's awful for you as a Ukrainian to say such things as you're in a similar situation. Imagine I'd tell you: leave Ukraine now!  Roll Eyes

Forget the fairy tale about the “second army of the world”, in Ukraine they have not been able to achieve any noticeable successes in two years,

My little retarded friend, you forgot that Russia has been fighting the entire Western world in this war. What would Ukraine do without all that military and financial assistance from the west? Without that assistance the war would be long over.

427  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: The smartest investment choice. on: October 27, 2023, 10:58:19 PM
Munger is a walking corpse, it does not matter what people like him & Buffett think about bitcoin. They ere old school, legacy finance guys. What they’ve done their whole life has worked well for them. They will not embrace new tech before they die, which won’t be long. Bitcoin also takes a slice of the pie too so they will never actively support it. But yes of course bitcoin is a great investment, you don’t need them to tell you that.

True, but I can't rule out a possibility that these old farts are actually secretly buying Bitcoin, while bashing it publicly. They are billionaires after all and rich people mostly can see and identify opportunities earlier than normies. I'm sure peeps like Peter Schiff and other gold bugs and Bitcoin naysayers possess huge amounts of Bitcoin.
428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New way to keep your seed phrase secure. on: October 27, 2023, 10:47:40 PM
Idea:
Hello, I am sharing a new idea for keeping your crypto seed phrase safe. You can make your seed phrase more secure by translating it into different languages. For more security use a translator and translate in two or three languages and split them to different papers for more security.

I tried to find wallets which may allow multi language seed phrases but not found one, everything was for wallet software translated into different languages.

Question:
So my question is can we generate seed phrases in a different languages with wallet software? Is there any wallet with this feature?

I fear this will not add extra security to your seed. Instead, like many others mentioned in this thread, you'll get additional issues, because of the problems with reversing your translation and recovering correct words in the original language. Additionally, if I'd spot a set of words similar to a private key and some words would be in some other language guess what would be my first thought?  Roll Eyes
429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: October 27, 2023, 10:18:47 PM
I have seen several topics here and other discussion thread where many people talked about gambling addiction. So many procedures been stated to follow sequentially to reduce the rate at which one frequently visit online gambling sites and possibly their application if they do have any of them.

I remember in one of the threads I raised up a point which was long hidden as the thread became too numerous and lengthy to continue the conversation on that topic. It was my opinion to add up in profering solutions to gambling addiction. I believe not too many people saw it to to say something about it so that is why I had to bring it up as a topic hear. I want to hear your opinion and ideas towards it.

Here is it;

I am of the opinion that since gambling sites are mostly online and some has adds that pops up as advert on visited site, one should be able to disable or change their browser settings  by blocking casino adds and as well disabling  gambling sites on their browser settings so as not to gain access to it anymore till the number of days they deem fit to their resolve. This was just a little tip I gave as a possible solution. I had to put it up here for further discussions so that the bigger community can see it as  well.

If you feel or think here is not the right place for this you can say it. I am open to corrections as we all are here to learn.

I don't think these tips will work. Blocking everything or even disconnecting the affected person from the internet completely won't help. In many countries there even exist databases of gambling addicts which should prevent them from entering casinos and gambling places but they somehow still find a way (online and crypto gambling help to avoid such bans). You need to go visit your psychologist as it's mostly a mental issue (addiction).
430  Economy / Gambling / Re: Evolution — report for Q3 (HOW THEY EARN THAT MUCH?) on: October 27, 2023, 08:17:47 PM
They don't really need to rig their games to profit as you know "house always wins". A lot of user funds are being liquidated into games at the same time. As they have commission for every game that exists, from about 5% to 20% or even more for slots?. As long as users stay active on the casino, they should theoritically always profit. Other than a few freak instances, for which, the casinos have failsafe(to an extent). If a user is winning a lot, most casinos will just shut doors to the user or even confiscate funds if they find anything even remotely fishy. Ofcourse, rigging games would help to profit much larger than what would be otherwise possible but if could get very obvious if the total amount gambled on the casino and their revenue are transparent to gaming commission.

This. I fully agree, you don't have play unfair to earn lots of money in gambling. Besides, they are one of the leading live gaming stream providers I guess. And yes, the house always wins that's pure math, so I can't see the way they can record losses.

In Austria, Zverev will play aginst Rublev. It will probably be a close match.

yes thats an interesting match up, Zverev gas found some form but Rublev will be tough
gor Zverev to beat I think.

Really tasty quarter finals in Vienna:::

The most interesting is Tsitsipas v Gojo who got a wildcard into the tournament,
and who could possibly beat Tsitsipas. His odds are 3.0!

Medvedev should win and
Sinner should win

Yeah, any of these matches could have easily been a Masters or a Grand Slam final! I watched Rublev v Zverev and it was a great match! Rublev showed more consistency and won 6-1, 6-7 (5), 6-3. Earlier, Medvedev defeated Khachanov and Tsitsipas came out victorious agains Gojo.

Sinner v Tiafoe under way at the moment Sinner taking an early lead 3:0.

Meanwhile in Basel, Holger Rune continued his winning streak with a win against Etcheverry 6:1, 3:6, 7:6.

433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Surpasses Tesla, Ranks 11th Globally on: October 26, 2023, 08:38:36 PM
According to the latest data from 8marketcap, Bitcoin's market capitalization has surpassed that of Tesla, now ranking as the 11th largest global asset by market value. Bitcoin's market capitalization is approximately $676.6 billion with a 14.13% increase in the past 24 hours, while Tesla's market capitalization stands at around $673.1 billion with a 0.04% increase in the same period. This sounds crazy.

You're probably new to Bitcoin. Back in 2021 (during the previous cycle top), Bitcoin had already entered TOP10 stocks by market cap. Next cycle we're likely to see it going back up into TOP10 and perhaps trying to reach the market cap of gold?
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 26, 2023, 08:07:30 PM
Holger Rune is back! He managed to win against Baez in Basel earlier today. The Dane won 7:6, 6:1 finally giving his fans a glimpse of hope after a series of losses.

Right now I'm watching Tiafoe v Monfils and the Frenchman unexpectedly took the first set 7:5. Let's see how this is going to play out.

I believe this is his bitcointalk profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2211 - he has been inactive since 2015.
The Thomas dude is a tech guy. I ran through some of his posts to get a feel of that. Now, this is the major reason I don't regret not being into Bitcoin as an early adopter. I'm sure I would've lost my coins too one way or the other and that would be with so much pain, seeing what a treasure Bitcoin is now. Just imagine someone having close to $240 million in Bitcoin but can't assess it. This is going to be worth more in coming days. Nonetheless, what I don't understand is why isn't the dude giving access to those other ethical hackers who claim they can retrieve it for him?

Perhaps he's afraid they will run away with his money? Just imagine if you would possess 7k BTC on a USB drive. Would you give it to some unknown "ethical" or perhaps "not so ethical" hackers?

Yes, there is no proof he actually owns this amount, there were 100BTC and 500BTC wallets belonging to the same guy mentioned before on this forum, but nothing regarding a 7k BTC one.
436  Economy / Economics / Re: Would You want to See a Corralón Type Economic Measure in Your Country? on: October 26, 2023, 07:33:31 PM
Quote
Corralón was the informal name for the economic measures taken in Argentina at the beginning of 2002 by President Eduardo Duhalde during a bank run in which deposits and debt in dollars were exchanged to local currency at 1.4 per dollar for deposits and 1.0 for debt (this was also called pesificación asimétrica). Previously, the withdrawal of dollars was limited to $250 per week. After the forced exchanged, people no longer had any dollars on the system and those who had savings in US dollars lost 65% of their deposited value.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corral%C3%B3n
What are your thoughts on the quote above if your government implemented such economic measures? One thing is certain: those in debt would likely benefit, especially in times of economic hardship.

I wouldn't want to experience such measures in my country, although I suspect in Argentina they had to choose the lesser of two evils. Such unpopular measures are being used in extreme situations, like saving a country's economy from a default.

With this win he has moved up to place 14 in the ATP ranking and is getting closer and closer to the top ten. Shelton is probably the biggest hope for the USA at the moment. In any case he is showing good development.
This week he is playing the tournament in Vienna (Austria) and will play against Sinner in the first round at 25.10. I think he can go very far in this tournament.

Definitely one to watch for the future and could easily go to the US #1 spot. He does
play Sinner next who is seeded #2 so its a tough one.

Both have played against each other one time so far. That was at the Shanghai Masters. Shelton had won then. But only because Sinner had a tough match in Beijing before. And  Sinner has not played a tournament since then and therefore he is better rested for this match. But Shelton has certainly gained a lot of confidence and with his young naivety he could beat Sinner. After that he could make it to the semi-finals.

Sinner v Shelton was a close match as predicted. Sinner got revenge over the American 7:6,7:5. Frankly I was hoping to see the 3rd set in this one but Sinner was too good tonight.

Okay, I'll give you some training too.
Mariupol. More than 70,000 civilian corpses were found in the city morgues after the Russian attacks. But we know that Russian occupants in other cities organized mass executions of civilians and then tried to hide the traces of crimes, so the real number of destroyed civilians is unknown. The city itself is completely destroyed by more than 50%, and 95% of the city was destroyed by bombings and shootings.
Marinka. There is simply no city left. Earlier there lived more than 10.000 population.
Bakhmut. The city is completely destroyed, the city, before the Russian terrorist attack, was inhabited by more than 75,000 people.
Volnovakha, Izium, Popasnaya, Rubizhne, Severodonetsk, Brovary, Irpin, ..... it could go on for a very long time...
Your posts are getting more and more idiotic each day...   Grin Grin Grin

Firstly, 70k is more than entire civilian death toll in all of Ukraine from the start of the war:

I understand that Nazism, especially such a yardstick variety as RASHISM, has one concept - lie, lie, lie and lie again. Lie everywhere and always. And deny all the facts.
I will not continue this topic with you, you are behaving extremely disgustingly towards dead, peaceful, innocent people. This is called “dancing on bones” and denouncing crimes, trying to reduce the real tragedy.

PS According to the Ilyichevsk morgue, 87 thousand deaths were documented in Mariupol.
There is also a database of unidentified people. Unidentified bodies of civilians are in mass graves. According to the latest data, there were about 26 thousand such people. There is a database on them in the Novoazovsky Prosecutor's Office.
However, even these figures are not final, because there are still bodies in the courtyards and under the rubble, and some of the dead were taken out by the occupiers and buried in unknown graves.
Oh yeah, the world-famous Ilyichevsk morgue the most reputable source... who haven't heard of Ilyichevsk morgue?  Grin Grin Grin

Only in the Mariupol Drama Theater, where civilians were hiding from the terrible bombing with FAB-500 bombs, at least 600 civilians died under the ruins. It will most likely not be possible to find out the exact number of victims. The Russian occupiers then simply brought in excavators, loaded the remains of the destroyed building mixed with body parts and took them away for a hidden burial so that no one would know the scale of this massacre....

Quote
On 16 March 2022, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces[1][3] bombed the Donetsk Academic Regional Drama Theatre in Mariupol, Ukraine. It was used as an air raid shelter during the siege of Mariupol, sheltering a large number of civilians. The estimations of the number of deaths that occurred due to the bombing have varied, from at least 12[1] (Amnesty International) to 600 (Associated Press).

and then there's this:

439  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia and Western sanctions UK and others Also brexit on: October 22, 2023, 07:49:08 AM
Yesterday, October 19, there was one of the most ambitious battles in the Russian-Ukrainian war, which took place near Avdiivka and which Russia lost.

I will quote almost verbatim one of the participants in the event:
“Yesterday it really was hell. I talked to the guys, and they said that they had never seen anything like this anywhere, even near Bakhmut, even in Zaporozhye. This had never happened anywhere. The Russians were attacking wave after wave. They used everything, everything in general: tanks and artillery, armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles, Grads, aviation, drones, missiles, infantry... There were so many tanks that the minimum column was 5 vehicles, and the maximum - 30. They drove up, took a position and began to hit. The guys destroyed them... And very successfully This was one of the biggest battles that the Russians lost. They considered this battle extremely important for themselves... When yesterday there was the twentieth or thirtieth wave of tanks, one of the officers said: “What is this, ..., the Kursk Bulge”? ... "The Russians gathered a strike fist and threw it at Avdeevka, and then our guys did an incredible job... This is a feat. It was impossible, but they did it"

According to the morning report of the General Staff, yesterday the Russian Armed Forces suffered almost record losses: 55 tanks, 120 armored vehicles, 1,380 Russians. Most of these losses were suffered by the enemy in the battle for Avdeevka.
https://www.dialog.ua/war/283270_1697798267/amp
I am not sure how long this could go on but it looks like one day Russia gets a place and another day Ukraine takes it back and it just goes on like that forever. While Russia may feel a bit more comfortable with losing soldiers, which is basically how they won the world war two by letting Germany kill the Russians a lot more and still throw bodies at the situation, at the end Germany lost less people and still lost the war, they are doing the same thing here. They could lose 100 people to every single Ukrainian and still win this war, and that seems like their solution and this isn't regarding Russian land, it is at Ukraine so Ukraine can't really give up neither and it just goes on like that for years now.

I do not know what we are going to see in the end, but it looks like it is not going to be over easily, it is going to take some time. Hopefully, we could see it do a lot better on the long run and we could end up with a peace solution that makes it end.

I partly agree, but it can't go on for years, Ukraine is simply too exhausted to continue this bloodbath for long. The main resource is soldiers and they're running out of them. You can't replenish killed and wounded troops instantly, not even in 5 or 10 years. You also can't import soldiers. In the few years population of Ukraine has gone down from 40 million to just 15 -20 million. The official estimate (which doesn't include the people who fled the country illegally is as follows:

Quote
In July 2023, Reuters reported that due to the refugee outpouring into Western Europe, the population of Kyiv-controlled areas may have decreased to as low as 28 million

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Ukraine

Main reasons for this: refugees (both official un unofficial), soldiers killed/wounded/missing in action, Russia-annexed territories (Crimea/Donbas).

Just to compare: Russia has around 145.000.000 people.

So I predict the war will come to an end in 2024, one way or another. Either Russia will win on the battlefield or Ukraine leaders (US sockpuppets) will start thinking reasonably and sign a peace treaty. It will be painful for Ukraine in any case because they will lose either their army and people (possibly also independence) or Eastern territories. Any logically thinking leader would choose the 2nd option but Zelensky can't do it as he is supervised from the other side of the pond.

Quote
From 24 February 2022, when the Russian Federation’s armed attack against Ukraine started, to 29 January 2023, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) recorded 18,657 civilian casualties in the country: 7,110 killed and 11,547 injured.

Next, I presume the AFU is the most effective army in the world? We already know they have 0 casualties, but according to you it seems they never hit a single civilian by mistake? AFU have magic bullets which kill exclusively Russian soldiers?  Grin  They never place artillery systems in residential neighborhoods and never use civilians as a cover? The "warriors of light" use anti-aircraft systems so precisely, that they only take down Russian missiles, drones and planes, debris and parts never hit the residential buildings - they fall on the ground only in uninhabited locations.  Grin Grin Grin

I'm sure such brainless trolls like you actually believe this propaganda crap. Israel killed more civilians in several days than Russia in 1.5 years!

But the good thing is that you and your kind will no longer be able to promote the Russian narratives "it's an internal conflict in Ukraine", "Russia has nothing to do with it" and will not be able to hide the wildest crimes of Rashism !
Not sure what you're talking about here. Some complete paranoid nonsense!  Grin

What Russia with the Rashist ideology has arranged in Ukraine is already recognized as genocide. The same genocide, which the Kremlin for the last 80 years, organized against the inhabitants of Poland, Finland, Ichkeria, Georgia, Moldova and many other countries. But the time will come and the bearers of this ideology will be punished for their crimes. And then there will be no more sadistic smirks of sadists.....
Not true. Google what genocide is.

the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group:
You're too retarded to understand this. Big % Russians live in Eastern Ukraine and many also serve in AFU. So it's more like pro-Western Russians vs pro-Russia Russians. So it's in fact genocide of Russians sponsored by the US.

Btw, Ichkeria is not a country, it's a part of Russia.

- Russia has offered 32 million hectares of Siberia for grain for China. Putin, going to his master Xi, decided to give him a gift - the land of Russia Smiley Thus begins the sellout of russia. And also "returning china's historical lands to its native harbor"  Grin Grin Grin
It's funny how a brainless troll can turn positive news into negative. It's actually Russia signing grain deal with China. 32 million hectares is a real number from real news but used by a troll in a wrong context. So a major grain deal had been signed between Russia and China:

China and Russia are strengthening their partnership in food and energy, as both countries face mounting challenges amid tensions with the West, according to announcements made at recent forums in Beijing.

The two nations have signed a nearly 2.5-trillion-rouble (US$25.8 billion) grain-supply contract, the biggest in their food-trade history, under the Belt and Road Initiative, a Russian insider was quoted as saying by the TASS news agency on Wednesday during the third Belt and Road Forum.

Russia, which has been seeking more cooperation in Eurasia amid Western sanctions resulting from its invasion of Ukraine, is selling 70 million tonnes of grain, legumes, and oilseeds to its southern neighbour, according to Karen Ovsepyan, who leads the New Land Grain Corridor, a logistics hub being built in Russia's Ural Mountains, Siberia and its far east region to facilitate China-Russia trade.
