Its kind of looking like a Poland v Germany final I would say.
Poland made it to the final very convincingly, in fact France got a little hope for the match to be decided through mixed doubles when Garcia managed to take the first set from Swiatek but Swiatek was still unstoppable, her game was better in the second and third sets to make Poland lead 2-0 and the mixed doubles no longer needs to be played.

Germany vs Australia is very likely to be decided in mixed doubles because Kerber seems to have quite a hard time facing Tomljanovic but Zverev must be able to beat De Minaur, and the mixed doubles match will be very exciting because both of them have very good mixed doubles, maybe Germany will field Zverev and Siegemund again, compared Zverev and Kerber, because Zverev/Siegemund were also quite good when they beat Greece which was a deciding match too.

Watching Zverev v de Minaur right now. The man with a Hitler moustache plays very well so far.  Grin  Zverev barely managed to take the first set 7:5, right now it's 3:3 in the second.

de Minaur did very well to win his match in the 3td set given he somewhat struggled
up until you post!

But it was an epic doubles decider in the tie break decider to elect Germany the winners.

Final time now and its swiatek v Kerber, Swiatek has just taken the first set and a
double break in the second, its going to be Poland 1-0 very soon....

Up next is Hurkacz v Zverev, odds are 2.2 - 1.65 Hurkacz could pull off a winner here, Zverev
I hear didnt get to bet until 6.30 and has played a lot so has to be feeling the fatigue by now

Meanwhile at WTA Brisbane, Elena Rybakina stunned WTA #2 Aryna Sabalenka! Rybakina won the first set with a bagel (6:0) in just 24 minutes! Needless to say she won against the odds, if I remember correctly it was something like 1.65 v 2.5 in favour of the Belarussian...

Dimitrov v Rune now live: 7:6 Dimitrov first set, 1:1 second set so far.

Osaka looked great. Her ball striking has stayed pretty consistent and her movement looked pretty good too, especially for a player who hasn't competed at the top level for a long time. However, Pliskova just loves the venue. I think it's her 10th straight win at Brisbane? She up against another heavy hitter in Ostapenko. Should be a good batter of great ball strikers who have average or below average movement.
Yes, but correct me if I'm wrong, Pliskova has extremely poor record against the Latvian. Both girls are hard hitters and not very good movers but stats are important and numbers suggest Ostapenko will be victorious.
Pliskova leads Ostapenko, 6-5 H2H. However, you can never really predict these matches. Ostapenko, one day finally shows up like the slam winner she is. The other days, loses to 150th ranked player after hitting everything out. It's 1.5x on Ostapenko at the moment but on Hard court, I'm not really sure who takes it.
Ok, thanks for the exact stats, I was quite sure it was something like 6:1 or 6:2 Ostapenko for some reason. Btw, I also checked the stats and some sources say H2H is 5:5, other sources claim it's 5:4 Pliskova.

Ostapenko v Pliskova is one of the most promising matches in tomorrow's order of play, among others I could recommend Andreeva - Rodionova a clash between a Russian starlet and a Russia-born Aussie veteran. I predict that Andreeva will win tomorrow.

Altmaier v Dimitrov is also going to be fun to watch I believe. My bet will be on Grigor.

Kubler v Nadal should be an easy match for Rafa.

Mertens v Rybakina: The Belgian has improved her tennis (in singles) a lot lately but Rybakina seems to be too tough for her to beat.

Russian derby Kudermetova v Potapova is also going to be intense, seems like anybody's match to me.

I think Rune is ok, he has broken Shevchenko in the third set.
Yes, Shevchenko lost control of the game completely. 6:2 3rd set Rune.

Are you guys watching Nadal vs Thiem right now? The match was quite interesting and both were still solid without anyone having their game broken, I think this first set will be decided by a tiebreak. This is a match that is quite eagerly awaited by tennis fans and Nadal looks very ready for this tournament, he played doubles too but lost in the first round.

And Novak Djokovic, who played in the United Cup, reportedly suffered a wrist injury during training but it has not been confirmed and he managed to beat Jiri Lehecka to make Serbia 1-1 and managed to win through mixed doubles where he did not play and was replaced by young Serbian player Hamad Medjedovic.
That was a fairly strong performance from Nadal particularly in the second set to win that 1-6.
The commentators were in awe of his performance and fitness after being out for so long.

Yea I heard about Djokovic injuring his wrist and then pulling out of the mixed doubles. I wonder
how serious that is going to be. It might be very minor but here we were before Christmas talking
about hoe resilient Novak is.
Djokovic just played and lost to De Minaur so this injury has affected his game as the match was done in straight sets 6-4 for both.

Not sure why he didn't just pull out of playing in this United Cup and not get ready with recovering from this injury for the Australian Open which starts on the 14th of the month (13th for Australia).
That tournament should be more important to him in the long run and surely would benefit more with a good performance from this first major of the year.

I watched this match and there were no visible signs Djokovic was injured or feeling uncomfortable because of his wrist issue. Although, if I were him, I'd definitely let myself rest before the GS tournament. Anyway, he knows his body better, perhaps his injury is not that bad.

Meanwhile, as I predicted earlier, Shevchenko is taking his match against Rune into the 3rd set! 3:6, 7:5 so far and things are not looking good for the Dane.

....

1. The problem is that you are very confused, being a classic consumer of propaganda Smiley And you think that what you are NICE to hear is true, but you deny everything that does not satisfy your minimal mental needs Smiley This is not my problem, let your psychiatrist think about how to solve it Smiley
2. “Firstly, Russia in 2022 did not capture any territories either near Kiev or anywhere in the north (Sumy, Kharkov, etc.)” - hmm... Are you feeling good now? It’s just that when your brain is removed, you shouldn’t feel very good Smiley But I can’t imagine any other options, or rather reasons for such nonsense Smiley

The suburbs of Kyiv were captured, and they even entered Kyiv - the battles took place on “Victory Avenue” as well. But after this breakthrough, the “non-existent and backward Armed Forces of Ukraine” defeated the elite strike units of the terrorist country and destroyed all units in Kiev and the Kiev region, right up to the northern outskirts (to the borders with Belarus and Russia), and after preparation, destroyed the hordes of terrorists who occupied a significant part Kharkov region. Then there was a southern direction, where the “second army of the world” ran at wild speed, leaving behind a brown-bloody liquid trail Smiley)))

3. Regarding the rules of warfare. Ukraine is doing everything to take the bodies of its dead soldiers, from sorties to exchanging for living terrorists of the Russian army. There may be some options. But Russia is not at all worried about its citizens, who can no longer be “meat”. They actually lie in the fields, the Russian army itself destroys the corpses of its soldiers in order to commit fraud with payments, etc. Besides the fact that I saw it myself, there is also a lot of information and investigations. Cowardice, lies, meanness - these are the spiritual values of the Russian world, including in relation to its citizens.

4. By publishing photos from cemeteries where Ukrainian defenders and fighters against global terrorism and racism are buried, what are you trying to convey? I know that in this terrorist war unleashed by Russia, many defenders died. This is a fact, no one denies it. It was they who gave their lives to destroy hordes of terrorists from Russia.
Better look at the cemeteries, or rather the heaps in giant fields, where the corpses of terrorist soldiers are simply quietly buried, all over Russia.

5. The only media that lies is Russian media and those who live on Russian handouts Smiley

6. “Global nuclear superpower” is a global global mega-fake Smiley We recently listened to a fairy tale about “2-3 weeks, and the second army of the world will reach the borders of Poland.” Now this army no longer exists, they are urgently recruiting meat all over Russia to try to shower us with meat Smiley I heard a screech - “we will launch a nuclear strike” - and? Smiley Putin understands perfectly well that having used even tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine, his fate will end after the first detonation of a tactical nuclear charge Smiley Russia is stupid, vile, cowardly, wretched, a terrorist country. And she will be defeated!

PS This is what terrorist burials in Russia look like:

Haha pathetic attempt to spread your lies! The pictures you posted are super small I can barely see anything there. We can only guess regarding the time and place where these pics were taken. No Russian flags, there is no proof these are military graves and that they are located in Russia. Or these can be as well pics from the 80ies-90ies or something.

The last name on the first grave ends in "A" which is a female last name in Russia. And year of birth is 1961 (63yo). On the second grave I can see year of birth 1935 (89 years old!!!!) which certainly doesn't sound like a troop deceased in Ukraine recently.  Grin Grin Grin Grin

What a shameful attempt! Always check your lies so they look plausible and you don't look like a bozo to your readers again! However, why not?  Grin

Naomi Osaka lost to Pliskova today 6:3, 6:7, 4:6. Not bad performance from a player who is just back from a maternity leave.

Russian teen Mirra Andreeva dispatched Samsonova in two easy sets 6:2, 6:1. Watch out for this young prodigy!

Match of the day is certainly first seed Rune vs Shevchenko. I won't be betting on this one as Rune is far from his best form and the Russian can surprise everyone with a win over the Dane.
228  Economy / Economics / Re: 2024 & Prediction of World War III - Effect on Cryptocurrencies on: January 02, 2024, 01:15:34 PM
As 2024 approaching many predictions has been made about economic crisis that will shake the world with many countries rising up to fight against one another

If these assumptions/predictions are to be true then what will be its effect on cryptocurrency most especially Bitcoin. As we know during war, economic activities are always grounded where many will be thinking only about their survival in terms of living than economic dealings and gains

Was recently discussing with a friend who is of the opinion that since Crypto/Bitcoin is a digital kind of money it should not be affected by any natural disaster or war but for me I believe it will be affected since crypto/Bitcoin is striving because people are making use of it and if these people are affected by war, which will disrupt flow of doing things the normal way, then crypto will die a natural death at least for that period.

Although we both agreed that even if there would be a World War III, participating countries will not be more than 6 going by previous wars but these countries will be economic powers that can/would ground economy of others countries depending on them. Hypothetically, say Russia, it might be difficult to pump oil to neighboring countries and other countries abroad that depend on them for their survival and might not be able to power countries including  Satellites and Base stations (BTS) to generate data. Without data, cryptocurrencies will be useless as there would be no trading of any sort for that period.

Will like to know your view on these as 2024  prediction for Bitcoin, Ethereum investment is encouraging and we don't want anything to truncate this flow. For me I believe there won't be any war significant enough to affect investment in Cryptocurrencies.

Frankly, I don't think (I really hope so at least) WW3 is going to happen. Simply because all major players have nuclear weapons and it will lead to a nuclear war and planet Earth becoming totally uninhabitable. I hope world leaders realize that WW3 will put an end on human civilization.

So, cryptocurrencies will be the last thing you're going to think about in the event of WW3.

Yeah, Nadal looked awesome, he didn't look like he missed a lot of time due to injury. But I have to say that it wasn't Nadal who started playing better in the 2nd set it was Thiem who started playing worse IMHO. I'm not sure why whether due to fitness issues or something else but Domi looked like he was the one who was out for a year with an injury. It was one way traffic in the second set.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 01, 2024, 09:01:03 PM
A gambling expert brought i and some friends a guaranteed predicted game and asked us to stake a a high amount so that we winning could be huge and so we can give him a percentage of the money at winning.

I don't believe there could be a 100% guaranteed game but yet my friends who are eager to make profits in the gambling accepted to play the gamed as instructed and at the end of it, they all loosed the game and at then, the rest of us were happy because we didn't play the game else we would had loosed as others.

I want to ask, do you believe in experts gambling predictions?

Some time ago I worked for someone who was selling betting tips and I can tell you that all these betting tips and hints are 100% scam. Just think about it: how can you reliably predict results of sports events? Basically, with betting tips you have the same chance of winning as without them.

and the Netherlands beat Norway 2-1 with the help of the doubles match. Ruud beat Griekspoor
which would be expected.

The Netherlands v Norway was an interesting match, the Dutch won it in mixed doubles: Dutch veteran and captain Wesley Koolhof and doubles specialist Demi Schuurs helped their country bounce back, defeating Casper Ruud and Ulrikke Eikeri 7-6(5), 7-5. Pretty logical move from the Dutch team me thinks as doubles players have more chances in mixed doubles than individual stars.

Yes for sure, two doubles specialists v two singles players in a doubles match should be
always able to win and that they did.

For todays matches so far its United Kingdom v USA and its 1-1 so far. Katie Boulter is
on a roll beating Jessica Pegula over 3 sets and Taylor Fritz beating Cameron Norrie
over 2.

This tie now depends on the doubles match:
Fritz/Pegula v Skupski/Boulter,
The US pair are favourites @ 1.44 v 2.75 for the UK pair, they might just pull that off!

Today Poland defeated Spain despite great performance by Davidovich Fokina. Swiatek won her match against Sorribes Tormo and then Poland's Swiatek and Hurkacz destroyed Spain's Sorribes Tormo/Davidovich Fokina 6:0, 6:0. Poland wins 2:1.

Australia outperformed USA 2:1. Taylor Fritz lost to de Minaur, Pegula won against Tomljanovic and Hunter/Ebden won in the decider 6:3, 6:1 against Pegula and Ram.

France - Germany 2:1
Norway - Croatia 2:1

Quote from: DrBeer
For example, I am a resident of Ukraine who has seen all this since 2014. Putin is simply a crazy, pathetic fuhrer who imagines himself to be the arbiter of destinies or even a god. But like everything in Russia and his fantasies, this is a fake. More than half of what terrorist Russia captured in Ukraine in 2022 has already been returned to the management and control of Ukraine. But these small villages, which the “second army of the world” captures over the course of 6-9-12 months, at the cost of indescribable sacrifices of their own soldiers, who simply bombard the defensive lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

I’ll just send you this link, and you can look in the chronology at how the frontline line has changed.
https://deepstatemap.live/#6/47.953/27.576
Firstly, Russia didn't capture any territories in 2022 near Kiev or anywhere in the north (Sumi, Kharkiv etc). There were just tank columns heading to capture Kiev (you can even check your own "map" these territories are only marked as occupied partly, mostly along the roads). When their initial plan failed, they withdrew and that was it. There was very little fighting going on, but Ukrainians are trying to present it as "great success" as always.

Quote from: DrBeer
I also recommend going to Bakhmut, Avdeevka and similar hot sections of the front, and see how many corpses of Russian soldiers are still lying there, useless to anyone, neither Russia nor Putin...
When the “second army of the world” took Bakhmut for almost a year, there was such a stench of rotting flesh that our soldiers’ eyes watered, because many kilometers in front of them were covered with the corpses of Russians, whom the madman Putin threw to slaughter, only for the sake of realizing his painful fantasies.
How can you recommend something you've never done yourself? Have you been there? No. Were there only Russian dead bodies? Russian dead bodies smell differently?  Grin Grin Grin Here's a nic pic, perhaps it will open your eyes on reality and "zero losses":

Wake up, your media is lying to you!

Quote from: DrBeer
And now you can observe the same thing - meat assaults, wave after wave, 24*7, for months... At the same time, the level of motivation in the Russian army has dropped significantly, many already understand that they are just cannon fodder, and there are no real reasons to fight in Ukraine. Although at the beginning of 2022 I spoke with Russian prisoners of war, they said in all seriousness that we have only Nazis here, we kill Russian speakers, drink their blood Smiley This is called propaganda, which corrodes the brain.
Ukrainians are very well known for killing, mutilating, torturing Russian POVs. So they will tell you anything you want to hear. That's normal. And propaganda indeed damages your brain. You are a great example of it.  Grin

Quote from: DrBeer
Regarding the motivation of the Ukrainians, we understand perfectly well that Russia’s goal is simply to destroy us, so we will not allow this, we have something to protect, we have something to protect, the truth is on our side, which means we will win. Yes, at a great cost, but we will definitely win.
Delusional. You can't win a global nuclear superpower. Either you lose or the whole world loses.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 30, 2023, 07:19:43 PM
Well I'm watching Sonego v Zverev currently, its on serve with some great play so far.

Earlier Paolini beat Kerber!

Yesterday Spain beat Brazil 2-1 in a doubles decider

and interestingly/surprisingly United Kingdom beat Australia 2 -1 without relying on
the doubles match. Boulter beat Tomljanovic and Norrie beat de Minaur, would have expected
the opposite of both matches.

and the Netherlands beat Norway 2-1 with the help of the doubles match. Ruud beat Griekspoor
which would be expected.

Zverev beat Sonego 6-7(5) 6-3, 6-4 and later team Germany won mixed doubles 6-3, 6-0.

Kerber losing against Paolini is not surprising, Angelique is back from maternity leave so I wasn't expecting great performance from the German.

Tomljanovic losing to Boulter is also not shocking. Ajla hasn't played on a high level for quite a time already.

de Minaur v Norrie result is somewhat unexpected, I agree. de Minaur showed below average performance on home soil.

Yes, it most definitely is winning! Ukraine has lost momentum and they are losing atm. Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, Maryinka have been captured by Russians, Avdiivka and Rabotyne/Verbove in the South are in the process of being recaptured too. But the most important thing - Ukraine suffers huge losses, it's army will soon become combat incapable. There is a huge lack of shells, artillery systems, APCs etc. EU/US support had been exhausted.

Quote from: Argoo
And I would advise Serveria.com to be more tolerant of your opponents and not call them idiots and other bad words. Typically this method is used when there are not enough arguments.
What? You are not my opponent. You are a lying troll and will be treated as such. I will give you a few hints on what you should do to stop being a troll and gain some respect:
1. Stop lying. Claims like Russia has lost a million troops since the start of this war are hilarious. Putin is dead is even more laughable. Stop it.
2. Always provide reputable sources to the info you post. If you're saying that "Putin leaked some info on Russian losses" always mention a source with a working link to a reputable source. Ukrainian media is NOT a reputable source during the war. Neither is Russian media. You shouldn't use such media as sources.

Well, let's see how you follow your own recommendations. Write, Marinka has been captured by the Russians, and Avdeevka and Raboche/Verbovo in the south are in the process of being recaptured? Where is the link to authoritative sources, otherwise I have a little different information? Which countries’ sources are generally authoritative for you? What about European countries, England, USA? Or maybe we will now consider as trustworthy what is written in Iran, North Korea, and African countries?
Muahahaha! And you want respect? After such retarded claims? Colonel Argoo, you're not retarded, you're BRAINDEAD!

Let's see, your own officials confirmed it:

Ukraine war: Russia captures key town near Donetsk

The Ukrainian military initially denied the Russian claim and Ukrainian military bloggers reported that Ukrainian troops were holding out in a small area of western Mariinka.

But speaking during a news conference on Tuesday, the commander of Ukrainian Armed Forces, Gen Valerii Zaluzhnyi confirmed that Ukrainian troops had withdrawn.

Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-67820916

Quote
Zaluzhny: Ukrainian Armed Forces will lose Avdiivka within 2-3 months The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), General Valeriy Zaluzhny, confirmed at a briefing that Marinka is completely occupied by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and Ukrainian troops no longer control this territory.

Quote
Avdiivka could soon fall, says Som, primarily a function of the Russians’ superior firepower. "They have ten times as much materiel as we do,” he says, "and 20, if not 30-times as many shells.” The Ukrainians are suffering from a shortage of ammunition for their mortars and artillery, he adds. "In many cases, we are unable to return fire.”

Troop losses have also been heavy, the Ukrainian commander says. Of the 100 soldiers his company once had, he is now sometimes only able to send 15 into battle. Some have been killed, others wounded – and still others are simply too exhausted to fight. "It’s a similar story with all the units here,” says Som.

Next, Russia is not fighting Ukraine, it's fighting almost the entire world. APCs, tanks, artillery systems, anti-aircraft systems, missiles, fighter jets, drones etc etc etc all these armaments is being sent to Ukraine by their "partners".

How much of the NATO inventory has been sent to Ukraine?
The US has 5000 tanks, the others around 2000, Ukraine received 200.
The US has 600 Patriot batteries, it has sent 2 to Ukraine.
The US has how many fighter planes? How many have they...wait zero!

You're fighting a country 1/4 of your size armed with 2-5% of the NATO leftovers and losing badly!
Face reality, Russia was a paper tiger!
You are either completely delusional or a liar! Here's the list of arms supplied to Ukraine by NATO (and not only) countries: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_military_aid_to_Ukraine_during_the_Russo-Ukrainian_War

You see just one country like Poland for example, sent at least 14 fighter jets, more than 330 tanks, ~350 APCs, 12 helicopters etc etc etc. Or it doesn't count?  Grin  Btw, F16 fighter jets are reportedly already in Ukraine. Just one country (the Netherlands) has shipped 42! planes. Ooops...

Russia is still pushing in Ukraine because they still bet the aid will cease, if the civilized worlds shows clearly it won't then they will simple claim another fake victory again and go back home.
Wait, you seriously believe Ukraine can win this war? Win over a nuclear superpower? There are only two possible scenarios: either Ukraine loses or we all lose. Civilian casualties? Texas? Oh wait, Texas is twice as big as Russia when it comes to economic size!

Also, the US exported 180 billions worth of goods in October,  60% would mean 108 billion, around 3.6 billion a day.
At the price of oil of 80 per barrel you're telling me the US is exporting 45 million barrels of oil equivalent per day?
Must be nice to export half of the world production!
Please re-read my post carefuly. It's oil and gas, not just oil.

Who is stupid enough to go to war agaisnt the US?
After Russia's disastrously campaign in Ukraine every dictatorship in the world is looking at its mighty army and realizing it's the same , a paper tiger! Do you think that all those disappearance happening in Chinese army and all those "demotions" are not the result of the leaders finding out the truth?
There won't be any war!
I don't think Russia is performing poorly in Ukraine, not at all. Firstly, their initial attack plan had been leaked by some high-rank military: US intelligence knew exactly where and when the Russians were going to attack. And for such a swift unexpected attack plan not revealing it for as long as possible is crucial.

Next, Russia is not fighting Ukraine, it's fighting almost the entire world. APCs, tanks, artillery systems, anti-aircraft systems, missiles, fighter jets, drones etc etc etc all these armaments is being sent to Ukraine by their "partners". Soldiers are being trained by NATO countries, US intelligence reporting on every movement of Russian military in real time via satellites, Starlink internet for comm, fuel for military vehicles, money for Ukraine budget - all of this and much more is being supplied by EU/US. Disastrous campaign is US getting their ass kicked in Afghanistan.

A great recession in a country that has been faking number for ages is not that much of a concern as a recession in the US.
Besides, the world is slowly getting rid of the dependence on China, money if coming out of there, production has been constantly moving back to the western world or other low cost countries,  a recession in China is not that much feared since we we're the ones triggering it!
Remember how their ban on rare minerals was supposed to destroy the western economies? Again, crickets!
I wouldn't be so excited about if I were you. You know what this means for a common US/EU person who is barely making ends meet after covid and sanctions? Even more expensive goods, further inflation growth, further decline of quality of life etc.

And the US has mathematically broken the 2019 record two weeks before the end of the year in both gas and oil

Looking down through the team sheets for the United Cup its interesting to see the absence
of Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz for teams Italy and Spain.

Ive been reading Sinner wont make an appearance until the middle of January for the Kooyong
Classic in Australia.

I wonder how these tournaments really feel about top players appearing at their event
and knowing that they are not going to get 100% from the top players...although there is
decent prize money.

Well, Medvedev on fast hard court surface (like US Open) can be a menace for Nole. Hard courts are relatively slow in Australia but let's not underestimate the Russian. Last year he started really well by winning several titles in a row.

Meanwhile, we can expect another impressive return in WTA: Naomi Osaka will be back after giving birth to her child. Japanese star will be playing for the first time since 2021.

Medvedev isn't really serious competition for Djokovic. When I say serious competition I mean a player who can consistently beat Djokovic. Of course it is possible for Medvedev to win a game against Djokovic, but over the course of a year I doubt that if they were to meet five times that Medvedev could ever win the majority of the games against him. Djokovic is in top condition physically and mentally and in contrast to Medvedev, Djokovic never gives up on games. Medvedev sometimes gets mentally derailed and plays as if he hated the sport.

Djokovic is a machine, physically and mentally on top of his game, he is definitely the one to
beat and its going to be difficult over 5 sets in the Grand Slams.
Yes, but every machine has it's expiration date. Newer model will be released and the old one will be scrapped. I mean he is 36 years old and he is approaching the end of his career. Yes, he is fit and using that ultra-healthy diet and stuff but you can't trick time. I really think that 2024 will become the beginning of the end for Nole.

Let's turn to stubborn facts. On February 24, 2022, eight Russian armies, supported by thousands of tanks and armored vehicles, attacked Ukrainian territory from the north, east and south. The approximate number of occupation troops was about 250 thousand people. They were given the task of arriving near Kyiv in the first half of the same day, and the calculation was to capture Ukraine in three to five days, using the fact of the demonstrative power of the invading occupiers. The threat was indeed great and this was and is recognized in Kyiv. Russian troops landed at the Gostomel airfield near Kiev, and separate groups penetrated into Kyiv itself. Therefore, in addition to the army, the people themselves rose up to fight the occupiers. In Kyiv alone, over 20 thousand machine guns and other weapons were distributed to the population. So what's the result?

What conclusion can we draw from this? Is Russia still winning?
Yes, it most definitely is winning! Ukraine has lost momentum and they are losing atm. Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, Maryinka have been captured by Russians, Avdiivka and Rabotyne/Verbove in the South are in the process of being recaptured too. But the most important thing - Ukraine suffers huge losses, it's army will soon become combat incapable. There is a huge lack of shells, artillery systems, APCs etc. EU/US support had been exhausted.

3. Stop derailing threads.
4. Stop avoiding/ignoring valid facts presented by other users.

This is just a short list from the top of my head I'm sure there are more points. But start doing it, you will feel the difference, I swear.  Wink

even in this forum the propaganda still works and people believe Russia is losing. they already have a huge territory of Ukraine. that's the truth as much as we want to punish Putin, he is winning but let's just say this guy is also fighting for the good of his country/people while the West is also fighting for the good of their people.
The thing is that it doesn't. Hardly anyone else except these two pathetic desperate Ukrainian trolls colonel Argoo and general DrBeer believe in their nonsense. Every single word of what these two bozos are posting is a lie.
