421  Economy / Services / Re: [BOUNTY] Compiling coins: small errors when daemon compiling on linux vps on: December 09, 2015, 01:12:29 AM
Do you have a more verbose error log then?  :-)

Me?  No.  I'm not the OP.  That's the same thing I was asking of the OP.  (Maybe you were just emphasizing?)
422  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: QuickSellers new Alt / Alias: mexxer-2 .. Proof inside on: December 08, 2015, 11:12:49 PM
Just found this thread.  It's kinda funny but I don't think there's anything overwhelming or convincing in the OP.  In any case, I've haven't seen any of the real QS hallmarks from Mexxer (1: irrational pseudo-argumentation; 2: inflated sense of self-importance; 3: vitriolic knee-jerk reactions to any amount of criticism; 4: spelling errors).

@OP- why don't you compare our copius scores like you did last time?

@shorena- be careful when saying that this person is wrong, it might make you a scammer an alt of me shilling for me :d

I was hoping that all this drama was going to be over after I no longer had a very high profile DT account, however it looks like the scammers just really hate me Wink

Have you checked our copious scores? That should prove with pretty good certainty that we are the same person Cheesy

@Quickseller: what's this "copius score" that you keep talking about?
423  Economy / Services / Re: [BOUNTY] Compiling coins: small errors when daemon compiling on linux vps on: December 08, 2015, 11:04:59 PM
I'm curious what compiler you're using.  My C compiler (gcc) usually gives text errors along with error codes.  You've just posted "error 1", but that's not terribly informative unless you can find the index of what kind of error "error 1" is.  Maybe if you pastebin you're entire build terminal session we'd have more info to help you.
424  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Bitcoin Wallet for Android on: December 08, 2015, 08:20:18 PM
If we are talking strictly about Andreas' Android core wallet, what it wants me to do is buy, sell, and trade in small amounts of bitcoin in the first place. so far so good.

If I fire up the app, I even can't see my 12-word seed without first loading some bitcoin into it.

My question is, is there a simple implementation of the same idea but one which let's me play with my 12-word seed and all that is behind the scenes, before I put actual money into it?

The Hive Wallet was such a fork of Andreas's code. I previously used Hive's web version and liked it. I don't know anything about how Hive for android worked, though.

I don't have the latest version, but I have decrypted the wallet from andreas's program in the past and used the bitcoinj tools to pull the seed out of it.  I don't think any such functionality is exposed in the gui, though (although it would be nice).
425  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Bitcoin Fork Pens on: December 08, 2015, 08:15:30 PM
Please let me know if you have any questions about these Bitcoin Fork Pens. While I've used them to eat with (just to test them out -- worked well), the plastic isn't "food safe" so it's not recommended you use them for anything other writing (and having fun with Bitcoin friends).

BitPappa, these are absolutely hillarious.  Very funny.  FWIW, it seems like we could eat with the fork carefully, as long as you only have to wash the metal cap.  Anyway, I have too much junk in my life already to buy "collectibles", but these were too funny not to comment on.  Good luck!
426  Other / Meta / Re: Just remove signatures already. As in delete, disable, gone. on: December 08, 2015, 08:07:44 PM
Because, all online companies/interns are mainly based on ads and if ads are disabled, there will not be a single traffic in this forum except admins, mods and some signature haters like you... YES! MARK MY WORDS.

There's a logical fallacy here.  You say that "all online companies/interns are mainly based on ads", which I take to mean that online companies rely on ads for promoting their business.  Then you suggest that this leads to "if ads are disabled, there will not be a single traffic in this forum except ...".   But it's hard to see how this follows.  You seem to have put the cart before the horse, so to speak.  People don't come to this forum in order to view the ads.  People come to this forum in order to discuss bitcoin topics.  People place ads in this forum because there are people here discussing bitcoin topics.  If the ads go away, that doesn't suggest that the people will not continue to discuss bitcoin topics.  In fact, it's the other way around.  If people stop coming here to discuss bitcoin topics (for whatever reason), then surely advertizers will no longer be interested in posting ads here (as there would be no one looking at them).

427  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: December 08, 2015, 07:52:39 PM
I'm wanting to know if there's going to be some sort of party or such when this thread hits 1000 pages.  I'm thinking this primedice thread has to be one of the longest ones on the board.  I know the slushpool thread is also long, tho.
428  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: December 08, 2015, 07:42:27 PM
Nice...good to know.  I have a few additional questions.

     1)  Will my HM2 or PT3 software be compatible there?

     2)  In you're honest opinion, is the player field soft or is everybody playing there a shark? (I'm not
particularly a "bum hunter" but hey, that's poker)

I'll visit the site and answer the rest on my questions on own....do you have an affiliate link?

Hi Cjmoles,

Come check SwC out!  It's true, traffic isn't the greatest sometimes, but you can play all of the mixed games, OFC, etc, which isn't available on any other sites for US players. There are a lot of friendly people there and some interesting characters as well. No one can use huds and there are plenty of casual players, so the games aren't that tough. Hope to see you there!

Hey, saw you streamed two days ago (earlier post) that I missed. You should set up a weekly schedule so it's predictable. I think it would help increase your viewership as well.

Nice betcoin avator Ranlo. Linked wrong qutoe  Angry Nice way of shilling on a seals thread.  Betcoin has been deemed a scam , shady site on a well known forum. I advise people against playing on the SHADY SITE BETCOIN TY.

From what I can tell, betcoin is the only bitcoin poker house with a working browser client and some action.  I don't know who they've scammed but it wasn't me.  I much prefer seals, but unfortunately, swc doesn't work since dec 2014....

Aston has literally bought 10s of people (or more) 10$+ wages just out of his own kindness.  You're talking about a guy who's thrown 100$ bills at the crowd just to entertain them.  And, so, please, praytell, what's his scam?  How's he making money on all this generosity?
He might be trolling or making false accusations but you are defending it in a wrong way,
It is the most common scam attecmpt to gain trust first and then abuse it.

Indeed.   But where's the abuse here.  This guy is giving away lots of money and I've never seen him ask for anything in return.  If that's a scam, I need an education badly.
430  Other / Meta / Re: Marketplace trust on: December 08, 2015, 07:39:21 PM
Hey, so I didn't really read much of the previous posts on here because it's not that big of a deal, but since I'm trying to understand how the trust system works here on the forum I'll just go ahead and ask.

What makes a person a "trusted user" vs. a "non trusted user"? For example, I just made a successful trade with someone here on the forum, but under my trust it has no + marks by it, and only shows my review of the transaction the other person left under the "untrusted" user section.

Thanks in advance.

For someone to be trusted they need to have been added into the default trust list by someone. Once they do their feedback will show up as 'trusted' vs untrusted. If you're wondering how you actually get chosen to be put on there keep doing successful trades or leaving relevant feedback and someone may eventually add you onto their trusted list.

To be fair, this answer assumes a centralized viewpoint.  The assumption here is that you have "default trust" on your trust list and that you won't be changing that.  In fact, for someone to show up as "trusted" you simply put their name on your trust list.  After that, feedback from them shows up in your trusted feedback section.  People who aren't in your trust network show up as "untrusted" in your feedback page.  Manipulating your trust list to include people who you actually trust and want there (may or may not be people on the default trust list) is your responsibility.

432  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Fees for full nodes? on: December 03, 2015, 01:31:14 AM
You can wish all you like but there's absolutely no way to confirm a full node really is a full node and not just faking it. If full nodes were to get paid, then one could spoof as many full nodes as they like and get paid for each of their fake nodes. To prove they're full nodes you'd have to invent some kind of "proof of work" and add it to some kind of blockchain - congratulations you've invented mining and an altcoin blockchain.

As far as I can tell, this point by -ck is sorta a showstopper for the idea of paying full nodes.  As he says, unless we could guarantee people aren't cheating, surely people would take advantage of that.  There may indeed be some way to prove this, but I think it's definitely a requirement going forward.

Guys, I made a withdrawal almost 24h ago now and it still hasn't gone through... anyone have a way to get a hold of Teppy?

FWIW, you can also click a button in the game which says "send a message to the game master", and you can do "/message Di Hey dude, help me with my withdrawal" and Teppy will get back to you in the game (when he comes online).

How does krill work exactly? The site explains the leader board, although not distribution.

From https://swcpoker.eu/promotions/

Quote
Krill Explanation

Find Krill every time you are dealt in to a raked hand. Each player dealt in to a raked ring game hand will receive Krill based on the following calculation: √(rake) multiplied by (5 / players dealt) then multiplied by any other bonus factor currently in effect and finally rounded down to the nearest tenth of a Krill. For MTTs, the Krill earning calculation is: squareroot(entry fee) rounded down to the tenths place and multiplied by 2. Krill is updated daily after midnight ET. The more Krill you collect, the higher Wave you achieve and thus higher rakeback percentage and access to more freerolls. Krill is updated regularly. Krill is cumulative and never resets. Krill rakeback is paid weekly. Your rakeback is calculated at the highest wave achieved since the last krill rakeback payment. Prizes and other promotions may be removed from your MGR before calculating rakeback. Those who earn the most krill are displayed on our krill leaderboard and can earn special prizes! The Krill promotion is subject to change.

Basically, they're casino points that you get for playing in raked hands.  The rate at which they give them out changes according to their promotions.  Note: only players who can run the software can get krill.  I haven't been able to play since December 2014 Sad

I'm pretty sure you're one of Quickseller's enemies on a mule. Or maybe not.

I just wish I could quickly draw a cartoon of an enemy of quickseller on a mule.  In point of fact, most of the time I use the bus or a bicycle, but I wouldn't mind trying a mule.

What amount of bitcoins have you guys earned so far ingame ?

i started playing and like the concept of making each and everything from start

but is it worth investing time in in the end ?

cause if someone doesnt get anything from a bitcoin based game .. than rather play some other MMORPG with super graphics and gameplay

It's a gambling game so your results will vary.  I know people that are waaaay up.  I know people that are waaaay down.  Personally, I'm pretty close to breaking even (I'm a little down at the moment).  In the end, whether or not it's worth it will depend on your luck.  It's up to you decide if you want to try it.
438  Economy / Reputation / Re: Quickseller - Reasons to give him -ve trust and remove positive if given earlier on: November 30, 2015, 07:05:14 PM
Here are the reasons mentioned below because of which he deserves negative trust badly and remove any previous +ve trust given by you, as it may lead to people as him being trusted.

Reasons:

1) User scammed many with his own middleman thing.
2) User threatened other users when caught to kill them or whatever. I dont think criminals are allowed here.
3) Gave Vod and hundreds ( if not millions ) useless negative trust.
4) Evading the ban !
5) When caught, lied that he is banned, then when shown that he wasnt , removed from DT !
6) Abused DT the worst possible way !
7) Bought coins from blazedout419 with different accounts, only so he can get good trust on those accounts

and countless more, so I urge these users to remove their positive trst please and if they cannot give a reason please !

1) Wardrick 2) Blazed 3) hilariousandco 4) MadZ 5) Tomatocage 6) shorena 7) Blazr 8 ) Mitchełł 9) PsychoticBoy and many more ...

I know he deal with u so u left trust, but your trust can lead others to deal with him and possible then get scammed by him !!

Please please come up !

Remove ur positive rep now : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=358020

give him -ve trust now : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=358020

You happen to forget one more lie  Roll Eyes
Said he is gonna leave the forum or gonna go on a very long break. Undecided

I'm not saying he's a great guy and you should take his word, I'm just saying that he's pretty much been given an appropriate reprimand and we don't need to keep on beating him up just for fun.
439  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dragon's Tale - a Massively Multiplayer Online RPG/Casino on: November 30, 2015, 07:03:44 PM
Attention, there are players with the Nazi complex. If they do not like it and you will make every block. Be careful. These hybrids bacteria with man's best to avoid:
HEZAZA, NULLCLICK, JC-JACK, GREENGREMLIM, JOVAN, ZAKORUS, CHUNK, DEVIANT, KAYLA, JOE028   MIDTOWNMIKE AND MEINKOIN
Do not believe a word of these players, rob you.

I would be cautious because the admin does not care how members behave.

This player is known as VIP in-game. The reason he gave this list is because he was caught using several accounts at the same time to leech money from parties that other players sporadicly throw and got banned from such parties. Ask any higher level in-ggame and they will confirm so.

That's pretty plausible.  Anyone who's saying all of these people are problematic is basically saying that the whole world is against him.  I'll consider VIP for my ignore list.
440  Economy / Reputation / Re: Quickseller - Reasons to give him -ve trust and remove positive if given earlier on: November 30, 2015, 06:38:27 PM
I agree the using 2 accounts thing was shady along with self escrow. I have and still do trust trading with him (I would send him a couple BTC without escrow and have no concerns about it).

1) Not a scam, but also a shitty move for sure
2) E-Thuging is not a crime or taken seriously by most here
3) Vod is a big boy and probably does not even care
4) When was he banned?
5) He was punished already - he was removed for the self escrow not lying IIRC
6) Who did he abuse anyways?
7) Not sure why I should leave him a negative for successful trades?

I really do not see why I should remove his feedback - who is he trying to hurt?

Indeed, as far as I can tell, at the moment, people are adequately warned about his past before trading with him or putting him into a position of authority.  This is all that was really necessary imo.
