I use Bitcoin for both. In my country not all business are accepting as a means of payment at the moment, but whenever I go to some places where they are accepting Bitcoin as a means of transaction I pay with Bitcoin. If we all keep Bitcoin as an asset without using it as p2p then I think we are not fully utilizing Bitcoin for the purpose it was created for. One of the reasons why Bitcoin was created was for it to be use as a means of settlement of transactions among peers.
I doubt what you are saying, with the current bitcoin transaction fees, I think there will not be too many people willing to use bitcoin for payment even if you are rich. No one is stupid enough to pay the bill for only $10-$20 but have to spend an additional $5-$10 as payment fee. Furthermore, there is nothing wrong with people using bitcoin as an asset without ever using it for payment. I don't even care what purpose bitcoin was created for, what I care about is the benefit it brings me. For me scam is something that use to fool you regardless it's direct or indirectly.
The example of direct scams are: ponzi scheme, sell a fake coin, cloud mining, promote a scam exchange etc.
While the example of indirect scams are: most of altcoins which created for a sake of profit, staking program, P2P lending, centralized exchange, banks, fiat and ETFs. Why ETFs is scam? you're not holding the real coin and centralized entity could going to bankrupt.
Your scam concept is interesting. If you call banks, fiat, ETFs... are scams, are you using them? Do you use a bank account, do you use fiat currency for your life?.. If you are using those things but denigrating them then you are a liar. Instead, we should use the word "risk" which would be appropriate for the examples you mentioned. As a businessman in cryptocurrency, it will be so senseless for me to store all my Bitcoins in my non-custodial wallet, nonetheless, I have the majority of my coins there. Also, if I am making so many gains with my trading and investments, I send more to my non-custodial wallets and it has been so easy for me. This is against what I do hear that it is so bad to have any asset in the custodial arrangement, but what about the business around it that the self-custody and even DEX cannot offer you? That is good for those who cannot maximize their earning potential with Bitcoin with what they know and rely only on what the HODLing of the coin can offer them alone. I will continue to do my style even as I use the Bitcoin-USDT transfer often within the exchange with low fees depending on the market condition and my disposition which has always helped me rather than discouraging me unlike many here would want people to believe. That depends on each investor. It would be a lie for someone who is a trader to say that they always store their crypto assets in a non-custodial wallet or always withdraw all their bitcoins to their wallet at the end of the day. But if someone has no intention of short-term trading but just wants to accumulate and hold for the long term, storing their bitcoins on exchanges would be the stupidest idea. For me, long-term portfolios are always stored in hardware wallets, and part of the capital used for short-term trading is stored on centralized exchanges. They don't try to attack too much. Perhaps Kopp tried to find the weaknesses in Arsenal's defence. Although Arsenal played well in the first half, Arsenal failed to dominate in the second half as Liverpool's players played very attacking. In the second half Liverpool players were able to make several great attacks. Also, the performance of Liverpool's players was very organized throughout the match. Arsenal lost due to their poor match tactics and weakness of attacking players. |
