Pat Bev though, funny that when he scored against Lebron, he gestures that James is way too small for him.  Cheesy
That who he is, he  always do that with any players trying to get into their heads to lose their focus in the game. That's also some sort of revenge for trading him away with the Bulls.
But that was really a tough loss for the Lakers as every game for them is a much needed win. Another loss or two may put them out of the playoff/play-in contention.
Hope they'll make it as they are now going to be a complete roster comes playoffs.

I don't think it was only Pat Bev, the whole Bulls team got into the head of the Lakers players.
They are at least trying to make a comeback. But the Bulls players got so much into their heads that they absolutely lost their nerve.

Anthony Davis was making fouls out of frustration. This has certainly made the chance of the Lakers making the playoffs real harder.
1182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is an asset. on: March 27, 2023, 03:35:11 AM
The only people who consider Bitcoin as an asset are those who believe that the value given to it by markets/speculation is so significant that it should be considered one. In reality, it does not work like an asset. Your car is an asset. You can not instantly transfer your car to someone overseas. Your car can not change hands with 10 people in a matter of 1 day. Similarly, your fiat in the bank is not an asset. It is not something you aim to store for a long period of time without touching it. Yes, it fluctuates with the price of other competing currencies, but does that make it an asset? You make the money in your bank ultimately to spend it on things like assets. Bitcoin is the same. Eventually, you will probably use Bitcoin to pay for your groceries, assets like cars, appliances, etc., give your kids an allowance and so on.

Bitcoin is a currency and its price is only volatile due to market speculation and instability of fiat currency

I know that the point of the OP isn't to start the asset/currency debate. Though I've replied in this way because calling Bitcoin an asset is wrong.

In my opinion, bitcoin is an asset, a currency, a safe haven like gold… it all depends on how you use it. When you use it as a payment method, pay bills, or buy goods, it's currency; when you use it for profit, it's an investment; when banks keep failing, and you need an alternative, it's a safe haven. Bitcoin is all you want, Bitcoin is not just a currency or an asset. OP is not wrong to call it an asset, and you are not wrong to consider it a currency either.

I mean the referee can just give a technical to Young, but instead the referee ejected. Referees really are becoming more sensitive right now.
This is the right thing to do; he should not be ejected. Sometimes refs get their emotions involved, and because they are officials, they think they can do whatever they want, including making calls that have no reliable basis. Young probably does not like the call, but there's nothing he can do. The call of the ref is final, and he just has to deal with it and be careful next time, especially if the same ref is officiating the game.

The referees should understand that a player is a human after all. And a human is going to have emotions. So it is obviously not the right thing to do which was done by the ref. Honestly, the referees should stop being a bitch about players showing emotions. I don't know if there is any rule about a player throwing a ball too hard or too soft toward a referee. But I think it was absolutely wrong thing to do by the referee to eject him without showing any previous warning.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 25, 2023, 06:54:01 PM
The decision is strange, do they really hope that Tuchel will be able to repeat the trick he did when he came to Chelsea? On the one hand, I know that Negelsmann had frequent conflicts with Bayern players, but on the other hand, taking such a step at the Champions League quarter-final stage is very stupid and it is not clear what this can lead to. Moreover, I agree with you, the results of Bayern in the Champions League are good.
We are waiting for the appointment of Negelsman head coach at PSG? )
Before, I have said. that this decision was a rash step if the matter was only related to the existing rumors. I suspect that there was an internal conflict between Nagelsmann and Bayern Munich officials. because according to my analysis, up and down in a team is a natural thing. Previously, Bayern experienced a front-line crisis after Lewandowski left, which in the end had an impact on the team's performance. then, Nagelsmanns found the formula and Bayern bounced back. plus, having options even though Coupo-Moting isn't as sharp as Lewanswodski. while others, other players contribute to scoring goals.

Post-world cup, Bayern Munich experienced another decline. the most influential factor is the injury of some of their important players. plus, the lack of friendly match sessions so that it affects fitness which has an impact on the team's overall performance. but so far, everything can still be said to be fine even though the Bundesliga competition is tougher. even so, with the depth of players that Bayern have. I am optimistic, they will return to be top of the standings.

On the other hand, Nagelasmann's struggles with the team in the Champions League deserve a thumbs up. because, they were able to overthrow other big teams who were predicted as strong challengers in the Champions League competition. then, as we hear today. this dismissal was too shocking for us, even before there were no signs towards it. well in conclusion, it could be as you say. Bayern will experience a decrease in performance with the current situation. even though their new coach currently has a good track record, but all of that is not a guarantee. So, let's see what's next after the international break.

Bayern Munich has not been doing well, especially this season. Of course, the decision of getting rid of Robert Lewandowski was not the right one. I shouldn't say in getting rid of it because, after all, they sold Robert Lewandowski for 50 million. So the deal was not bad for Bayern Munich. The problem is they could not get a player who could potentially replace Robert Lewandowski.

Now of course it is hard to get a replacement for a player like Robert Lewandowski. But otherwise, I don't think the decisions that he had taken previously were that bad. It's just because this decision has cost Bayern Munich a lot.
1185  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and Rich on: March 25, 2023, 02:46:39 PM
Yes I agree with you "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer". If a person is born into a rich family then he can just be smart with his investments and make money this way. It is not so risky if he can invest in the right places.
Rich people also have savings and investments already. It is less work for them to have to do as they grow up.
even when they are wrong in investing, they still have a lot of funds to invest. apart from that, I think the factor of a rich family also has insight into where a good investment place is. Some wealthy people in my area own several mining companies, and are not afraid to spend their money investing or building new businesses. that's why they are always quicker to see opportunities, and without hesitation to try these opportunities.
Meanwhile, the poor can get poorer when they choose the wrong place to invest. I've heard quite a lot that people get stressed when the bitcoin price drops, or when some scam crypto project scams them. sometimes they even go so far as to borrow money to invest more than they can repay.

Both of you are correct. The rich are getting richer, and the poor have fewer opportunities than the rich, but that doesn't mean they won't have any chance to change their lives. There are poor people who start their businesses and achieve unexpected success, while rich people who sleep in victory can go bankrupt at any time. The opportunities for the poor are not many, but those who know how to take advantage can still become rich and can stand on par with other rich people.

Very simple if many people buy 1 Bitcoin it will spike the price so its a self evident bet of a kind, so long as he get enough publicity.   Either way he wins probably as its cheaper then buying advertising.    But yes BTC can rise dramatically if it gains interest of many people, there is limited supply.
The vast majority of commodities in the world will respond with great supply when prices justify it, even gold and other rare elements are just waiting for the right price and supply opens right up.   BTC will not increase, its quite unique in that way and so for certain high prices are possible if demand outweighs supply.

If bitcoin continues to maintain its current growth rate plus limited supply, bitcoin price will go up and maybe $1 million is what will happen, but in this story it is absurd and unlikely that bitcoin will hit $1 million within the next 90 days. I'm no expert, but I can bet you that will never happen in such a short time. I don't know who the person making that prediction is, but I believe he is just trying to get people's attention rather than making serious bitcoin predictions.
Possible but it wont really be that happening in short time.Did check out if there's someone who did really bait off the deal and there really is.

Former Coinbase CTO makes $2M bet on Bitcoin’s performance

So this would really be a good thing to watch on whose gonna get that 2M worth with this deal.Someone do really able to realize and take
the deal and thinks off the realistic approach.

I watched the news, and as I said, this guy just used tricks to create public attention to increase influence on social networks, not with good intentions. Many people used this method and then tried to promote shitcoin projects, I wouldn't be surprised if he talks about some shitcoins in the near future. In terms of the $100k goal, we have not yet reached it. The road to getting to $1 million per bitcoin is still a long way off, so it's too early to think about it in the near future.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: March 24, 2023, 07:07:22 PM
It's amusing hearing Manchester United fans share their hopes and dreams of winning a quadruple this season lol, Erik Ten Hag has done so well to revert Manchester United's poor and hopeless season to something much better and have a trophy already won this season. Their match against Sevilla will be interesting even though Sevilla is not so good at the moment but if they can hold United's attack down then it will be easy for them to get a good result.
The presence of Ten Hag with United had a very positive impact. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of The Red Devils. So far, Ten Hag has proven he can make Manchester United a much better team even with only the players available. I mean, Ten Hag only brought in five players namely, Antony, Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez. however, he can lift old players and newcomers play solidly and the most prominent thanks to Ten hag is Marcus Rashford.
Next, next season Ten Hag will bring in the players he wants. that way, United can be sure to be much better than they are currently showing.
Meanwhile, speaking of trophies, as far as I'm concerned Ten Hag never said he was aiming for any trophies. but they will not miss their chance, if they have the momentum to win the trophy. well, in the next game. I remain optimistic that United will qualify for the next round phase. without intending to belittle Sevilla, as their opponent in the quarter-finals later. I am optimistic that there is a big possibility, United can become finalists in this competition.

Ten Hag actually brought the team up from a very difficult situation. I feel like a lot of people do not give him the credit that he deserves. A big reason for that is he was a main reason for Cristiano Ronaldo left the club. So a lot of people are actually angry towards him, including me.

But I have to agree he has done really well for Manchester United. It felt like this club did not have any purpose. At the start of the season, not even in my wildest dreams I thought Manchester United was going to be in the third position of the table. If this improvement keeps going on, I am sure there will be able to actually get trophies as well.
1188  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Btc get to $12k or $10k on: March 24, 2023, 08:03:07 AM
Opportunity to fall to $10k of course things are possible, this is commonplace, like when the price reaches over $68k in 2021 many say it will not fall below $30k, and when the price falls below $30k many are said the price didn't fall below $20k, and everything is proven, those of us who are used to bitcoin certainly see a downward trend is a common thing.

Of course, it can happen, but given what is happening, a bitcoin drop to $10k is unlikely, and I also believe it will not happen. Bitcoin will still correct many times this year, but it will not drop below 10k, IMO.

Besides those who don't believe bitcoin will never drop below $20k in the last year, there are also many people who didn't buy when bitcoin fell below $20k but waited to buy it at $12k la. It can be said that many people have missed the bottom, and if they continue to wait without buying, I believe they will continue to regret it when bitcoin hits $30k and doesn't decline further.

1190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 23, 2023, 07:36:50 PM
Next week the EPL is off due to the international break. I am waiting for the big game Man City vs Liverpool. It seems to be interesting. But I read the news that Haaland did not take part in training. Haaland felt discomfort in his groin. In fact, he was already with Norway but the coach did not want to risk making his injury worse. Of course, if Haaland still cannot play in this match, it is an advantage for Liverpool.
They must immediately evaluate the severity of the injury, but of course it will cost Manchester City if Haaland is absent. Liverpool could advantage that to win the match but considering Manchester City have a lot of forwards, so I don't think it will hurt City completely.
after all, the Manchester City vs Liverpool match is still quite far, namely at the beginning of April. So things can still change, especially regarding the possibility of Haaland being available in the match. So far Haaland has struggled to score against Liverpool but he did and I wonder if he will add to his tally against Liverpool.

Whenever I think Manchester City vs Liverpool, at the top of my head the thought which comes is Manchester City is going to be the winner. Of course, there are a lot of reasons for that as well. First of all Manchester City will have to win this match to stay closer to Arsenal. I still think Manchester City will be able to give Arsenal away good competition. But that is going to be a lot harder if Manchester City cannot get three points from this match against Liverpool.

On the other hand, Liverpool will also want to win. Because they are not close in terms of points with the team that is ahead of them. Both teams need a win. I hardly see a draw happening.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 23, 2023, 05:12:43 PM
A dramatic win by Zimbabwe. This ODI reminds me of PSL final played few days back and in both matches 4 runs were required on very last ball and in both games only 2 runs were scored. Netherlands needed 19 runs in the last over and last batting pair was on the crease. Fred Klaassen was only able to score 2 runs on last ball. Good fielding in deep extra cover as ball was racing for 4 runs. Series is  now level and the third ODI will decide who will be the winner. Zimbabwe need to perform well, there performance is very disappointing.
Zimbabwe, despite getting funding of $12 million per year from the ICC has shown no improvement in the performance. On the other hand, the Dutch are performing exceptionally despite the fact that they receive only $300,000 per year from the ICC. With a little more funding for their development program, the Netherlands would be able to get competitive against the top sides. Two days later, there is an ICC meeting to decide on the fund allocation for the next cycle. It needs to be seen whether the allocation for teams like Netherlands get increased or not.

This was a great performance from the Netherlands side. I know they didn't win. But I can say people expected a worse performance from the Netherlands. Especially with the amount of money Zimbabwe is getting, they were supposed to perform a lot better and actually win convincingly against the Netherlands. But the win by Zimbabwe against the Netherlands by only one run is of course not very convincing. And the Netherlands did win the first match as well.

The next match is going to be the decider. If the Netherlands can win this series, I would hope that ICC will actually give them a lot more money than they are giving them right now
1192  Economy / Economics / Re: Replacement? on: March 23, 2023, 01:24:25 PM
It can be said that depending on the government, the government is still the one to decide everything, but that possibility will be very unlikely. That will only happen unless they figure out how to take control of bitcoin and make it their own product, but so far bitcoin's decentralization has been virtually unbreakable. But discussing the future of physical money, I think it will also disappear and be replaced in the future by a digital currency created by the government and as we know it CBDC. Bitcoin or any alternative currency would not be the government's choice.
1193  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: March 23, 2023, 01:12:44 PM
It can be said that inflation is also a part of the world economy, but at this time due to the consequences of the pandemic and war, inflation has become larger and more unpredictable. Every government is different, some are still trying their best to bring stability and prosperity to their people but there are many greedy governments that only care about themselves and leave their people alone. But no matter what country you live in, don't expect too much or depend too much on others, I believe that only we can save ourselves, no one can save us.
1194  Economy / Economics / Re: Money hardly come this days! Why? on: March 23, 2023, 01:05:38 PM
I don't understand why things are so unspeakably hard to people. I couldn't hard a good feelings for some days after thinking of what must have trans-led this suffering of financial hardship in societies. Money is rare this days, am going through a lot but I just hope things well and better soon. Is not really funny here.

My children are at home chase from school, I could not pay fees again. What could be the cause of scarcity of cash?
Covid-19 hit many economies hard that most of them experienced a recession. The world was gradually recovering from the effect of the pandemic when Russia invaded Ukraine. The sanctions against Russia led to an increase in the price of many important commodities. The high cost of these goods made many businesses suffer losses and most of them had to shut down. This led to a high rate of unemployment. Some well-managed economies are gradually recovering while many are still in shambles.

I don't think the end of this global economic crisis is in sight which is why we need to prepare for the worst. You can get a new skill in some high sort areas, search for good jobs online, Identify business opportunities, and also try to cut the cost of living of your family.

Well, I also think we won't see an economic recovery anytime soon because the war is still very fierce and could spread to other countries. We are all going through very difficult days but perhaps not the hardest yet, we need to prepare for worse things to come. Honestly, other than having to work overtime after my main job, I have almost no effective solution at the moment, if we don't save ourselves, no one can save us. Don't rely on the government because they never care about us.
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 22, 2023, 05:03:10 PM
You can check my analysis yourself: in second place is Lazio. Lazio have 52 points and if they win all the games before the end of the championship they will have 85 points. According to the old Napoli regulations, it would have been enough to score 14 points to catch up with Lazio and become champions in additional indicators. But I just checked and according to the new regulations, if the points are equal, a golden match is assigned, so in order to definitely become the champion Napoli need to score 15 points in the remaining 11 games. This percentage of points scored corresponds to the level of Sassuolo - it is extremely unlikely that Napoli will sink so low.
Nice analysis!
Both conditions will not be met in my opinion so chance for Lazio to be champion is zero, risk for Napoli to lose it is zero too. To conclude, Napoli will be champion of Serie A 2022 - 2023.
Because Lazio will not be able to win all their 11 games and Napoli will be able to win at least 5 more games that is a max required win matches to take the title if Lazio win all 11 games. If Lazio win less than 11 games, Napoli will need to win less than 5 more games to be a new champion.

It is impossible to take the title away from Napoli now. Moreover, Napoli's performance is much more stable than Lazio's. Napoli is 19 points ahead of Lazio. And it is impossible to fill such a big gap. It seems unrealistic to me that Napoli will lose 7 matches out of 11 matches. Because the team is in great form now. Napoli is very difficult to beat against any team. It is also highly unlikely that Lazio will win all of their next 11 matches. Because this team has won only 15 out of 27 matches this season. They lost points in 12 matches. On the other hand, Napoli has won 23 out of 27 matches. So I am sure that Napoli will win the title this season.
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: March 22, 2023, 04:56:48 PM
Sevilla will fly to Old Trafford in the first leg of the European league, obviously they will not be counted as favorites considering they will be a visiting team and their opponent, namely Man United, is one of the favorites to win, if Sevilla still wants to stay in the European league by being able to semifinals then they should be able to play well in the first leg to make the result draw or if they lose not by many goals and that will still open up their opportunities in the second leg, but it looks like Man United will take this opportunity as an advantage to make lots of goals and play more safe when they have to go to Seville's home.

A Sevilla team should not be underestimated on the Europa League platform. Sevilla won the Europa League title 6 times. So even though this group is relatively weak, they cannot be underestimated. I saw their performance against it at Fenerbahçe. The team's attack is very weak. Even then they won against it at Fenerbahçe. And my guess is that in the away match against Manchester United, they will play completely defensively and try to draw the match. If the away match is a draw then I guess Sevilla will qualify for the next round.
1197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many BTC needed for retirement in 10 years? on: March 22, 2023, 12:46:50 PM
In general, the more bitcoins you accumulate, the more comfortable you will feel in retirement. But I think it would be too risky to concentrate all your retirement money on a volatile and risky asset like crypto. I agree with what pooya87 said, you should diversify your assets with assets other than crypto. In case, if your crypto investment crashes and you don't diversify your assets then your retirement dreams will disappear. Don't forget that bitcoin or ETH are both very risky.
1198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying cheap is best formula on: March 22, 2023, 12:31:03 PM
This period do not encourage trading or investment but at the same time when price is down is good opportunity to buy cheap and when its explode you will gain it. Nothing is lost in bitcoin, those holding for long now are the great benefactors but if you buy this period is more safer.

If I have money now, I would buy half of bitcoin because in next three months it will double the current price. This is real because it always occur this way after 5 years remember in 2011 and 2017 from the market charts and caps. And this year will break more even.
Buying cheap and selling high is the real formula of Bitcoin. There is no doubt about this, but there is always some kind of difficulty in knowing where exactly is the low price in order to buy cheap.
And also it is not always easy to know where there is the highest price in order to sell and make profits.
Some people will still not sell their bitcoin even when they make X10 and they will believe that bitcoin will explode the more. In the process of waiting it may begin to decline in price.
However, I am not very sure that bitcoin will increase in the next three months to the level of doubling or tripling.

In investing, buy low sell high is the general formula, not just bitcoin, this formula can be applied to all financial markets. But you're right, it's extremely difficult to pinpoint where the low price to buy is, and there's no guarantee that bitcoin will continue to double over the next 3 months. The effective way to get a return on investment in bitcoin is a long-term investment and DCA every time we have money, by long-term accumulation and holding, we will get the best return. Don't wait for the lowest price to buy because we won't know until it's past.

What a match it was against the Irish. Bangladesh registered a high score record. While Mushfiqur Rahim Scored the fastest century in ODI Format for Bangladesh. I thought Bangladesh will win this match since they build up a massive score. But the rain destroyed everything. They will fill as if they get robbed since they had a chance to create another record against the Irish. But, it was a day for Rain. Rain win this match.

They absolutely got robbed of a win in this match. The batting of Mushfiqur Rahim was absolutely unbelievable. He was scooping the ball over the wicketkeeper's head often. His innings were one to watch. This is a great way to come back in form.

I understand that this was against a weaker opponent. But it was still a great performance. We got to see the old Mushfiqur Rahim. Another thing I will appreciate is Litton Das being the opener along with Tamim Iqbal because Das performs best when he is opening for Bangladesh.

Anyway, I think this match not having a result actually opens up a good opportunity for Ireland. If Ireland can somehow win the last match, this series is going to be a draw.

1200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Bitcoin services do we need for mass adoption? on: March 20, 2023, 02:38:24 AM
Today, it's easy to create services or apply bitcoin to existing services, but what keeps it from gaining mass adoption is the government. They are the leading cause hindering the popularity of bitcoin, even though bitcoin is accepted on every service but without government approval, it will never be popular and gain everyone's trust. Bitcoin can work and exist without government permission or support, but if it wants to be mass adoption, it needs a lot of government help.
