1201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH the King of Altcoins ? on: March 20, 2023, 02:24:40 AM
For now we could agree ethereum is top of altcoin right now. Many projects use ethereum network and it is so popular. But, there is no guarantee that ethereum will stay on it throne maybe someday any coin will replace it place.
If you say so, then even bitcoin has no guarantee that it won't be replaced by another coin in the future. To me, bitcoin was the creator of the crypto industry, but it was ETH that helped the market grow and become what it is today, most of the altcoin market was born out of ETH. ETH plays an extremely important role in the crypto industry.
Bitcoinists always think that ETH is also shitcoin, but they forget one thing if those who invest ETH early, they also have success and profits, not inferior to those who invest in early bitcoin. As an investor, don't be too stubborn to ignore great opportunities, as long as they can generate profits, don't ignore them.

Well done and so far you are the only one who recognizes the fundamental relations between Bitcoin and ETH and their positions in the entire cypto industry. Bitcoin as the creator and ETH as the dominant developer is simple but has been ignored by too many people. The investors must be open-minded and never stick to any stereotyped thinking. Too many people just waste their time focusing on comparison and unnecessary argument and don't ever learn to see things in a whole picture.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of bitcoin or any other coin. I want people not to forget what our mission is when entering this market, we are here to make a profit, not come to worship or serve something. Investing in bitcoin or altcoins is all about profit, so don't focus on just one thing and ignore bigger opportunities. But investing in altcoins is very risky, so we need to know who we are and what our abilities are, don't be too subjective, and don't invest what we can't lose.

I was honestly surprised that Mokaev did not tap into the knee bar from Filho. It was really deep. Even after the fight, we saw him limping. His name was certainly in a very bad condition after this fight. Of course, he was dominating the fight (Mokaev). But that submission hold was surely going to take away the win from him. But in the end, he was able to get out of that, mainly because probably his opponent, Filho, did not have enough strength to hold on anymore.

Anyway in the end it was a really good Neck Crank from Mokaev. Filho was not getting out of that. I am actually interested to know how many injuries his knee sustained from that submission hold.

Anyone wants to talk about Filho vs Mokaev fight? Whole fight was decent, but knee bar that Filho made on the third round was something. Hard to believe tha Mokaev did not tap, because human knee simply can not bend on such an angle. How can Mokaevs joints survive that - I cant explain. That might be the nasties injury in ufc. Btw, this is 10th victory in a row by Mokaev (4-0 in ufc).

Alcaraz was the winner of this match. He performed better. The first set was pretty close, that's it. There was a feeling that it could turn out either way. But the second set was quite a convincing win for Alcaraz. I did say he was going to win. But that was not a very convincing call from me as expected. This match was supposed to be very close and I cannot say that this did not live up to the expectation. But at the same time, I cannot agree that it was overly exciting for a neutral fan.

The second semi-final between Alcaraz and Sinner have begun. These two can't just stop winning and the same is happening from the beginning of the match. Consecutive points have come out of them with an early break point from Alcaraz. First set point to be decided through tie breaker, as both are 6-6. An interesting match to watch which is taking place in Royal Style.
1204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when new altcoins encourage religious, political and other agendas? on: March 18, 2023, 02:16:55 PM
I don't mean to offend any religion, I want to say scammers are willing to do anything as long as they can scam people and make a profit for them. In my opinion, we should stay away from those coins, it's a waste of time to learn and research about them. Religion is sacred to worship and worship, not something to be bought and sold or made for profit as these scam projects are creating. I hope the scammers creating these projects will soon be punished for what they are doing is insulting our god.

This match is not turning out to be very favorable for Sri Lanka. It's the end of day two and Sri Lanka just came out to bat. They have already lost two wickets for only 26 runs. Sri Lanka needs to have some really effective partnerships. Otherwise, it is going to be really challenging for them to find a way to obtain control of this match. New Zealand has the upper hand right now. They are also going to be very attacking the next morning as well. It will be very difficult for Sri Lanka not to get out quickly.

New Zealand has made 386/2 till now, after 100 overs. The partnership between Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls is now worth 275 runs. Sri Lankan bowlers who performed so well yesterday are looking clueless. They are leaking runs everywhere and I won't be surprised if New Zealand make more than 600 by end of day's play today. 43 overs remain today and if play is possible for the entire duration, then there is a very good chance that New Zealand may get up to 550-600. Even avoiding follow on will be a tough challenge for Sri Lanka.

I also cannot decide the winner of the fight between Usman and Edwards. I believe Edwards is going to have the upper hand entering into this fight. After all, the physical condition of Usman does not look very well right now. I am not so confident about him winning.

I will not say Gaethje is going to lose that easily. He is an outstanding striker. Of course his opponent is going to have all types of counter for him. But I still believe that if he is smart enough he will be able to come up with solutions to those counters. Basically I think he will have to do a lot of fakes to throw off his opponent.

Cant decide who is going to win, Usman or Edwards, then just skip betting on their fight  Grin
Vettori and Fiziev seems to be a bets where to make a decision easier. Ive placed my bet on Fiziev. Cant see Gaethji winning this fight. Fiziev is younger, quicker and fully counters Justins strenght sides.
1208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 17, 2023, 09:59:56 PM
Kamaru Usman is not in the best physical shape as his knees are killing him and even Usman confirmed the rumors he is walking down the steps backwards, but he claimed that it is his fashion and protecting his knee  Grin. Leon Edwards never lost a fight in UK in his career and his confidence is high. Not placing a bet on moneyline but rounds bet would be good.
That's bad news, I hope Kamaru Usman's physical condition is fine even though he reasoned that he didn't have knee problems during the fight, but Kamaru Usman realized that Edwards appeared confident in the second fight because he had beaten him before, I think Kamaru Usman will strengthen the defense for dodging kicks or hard punch attacks, I'm not on either side of the fighter but I like fighters who have the punching tricks to take down opponents to beat points from each previous round.
Earlier I was planning to bet on Kamaru Usman but after the weigh I am feeling hesitant. I felt like Usman at 1.39 favorite is a little overstated. Usman is trying to focus but deep inside he remembers that fateful head kick, every time he sees Edwards. Usman might once again control the fight early. It is up to Edwards if he losses his confidence once Usman starts tagging him or he will remain composed and hopes to repeat another KO win.
Meanwhile, I'm surprised Colby Covington was there. Dana should give him a fight ASAP. Cheesy

Kamaru Usman is just simply a little too old right now. He has been really consistent in his performance throughout a good period of time. Of course, he is a legend in the fighting sport. No one is going to take that away from him. But he is just suffering to the effect of being on top of this fighting game for so long. His body is showing signs of weakness. This fight is really going to be hard for him and also on his body. The time is actually coming really close for him to retire. I do not want to insult him and I am sorry if the next thing I am going to say comes off as insulting. But I honestly do not think he is as good as he was before.
1209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 17, 2023, 09:27:23 PM
Atalanta had better take things more seriously in the league now. Because their poor form in the recent times has helped Juventus catch up with them a lot in the standings.
They are hosting Empoli this week as you know. This is a must-win match for them in my opinion while Juventus are playing a very challenging match away against Inter. The best case scenario, Atalanta can make the point gap seven with Juventus which would relieve them quite much. Atalanta haven't been able to win a single match for four weeks in the end. I can understand the ones against Napoli and Milan but the other two could have really been wins for Atalanta. They aren't a team that can't defeat teams like Udinese and Lecce normally.

Atalanta vs Empoli

I'm seeing the match, 76 minutes have been played in this match. The score is still equal, 1-1. Atalanta needs the three points from this match. And it can be expected that they will be able to win especially against a team like this. But it is proving to be very hard for them. I think there is still time for Atalanta to steal the three points toward the end of the match.
1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 17, 2023, 09:13:59 PM
Even though Lyon and Nantes are currently only struggling in the middle of the standings, but at least Lyon still has a better record and that way Lyon can still win this home match. But yes, I think Lyon and Nantes have good abilities regarding aggressiveness in scoring goals, so even though Lyon is the favorite to win, but Nantes will certainly provide a difficult resistance by scoring goals in this match.

But yes, with considerations like that too, I think betting for both teams to score and or over, might be a good option too. So yes, even though this is not a match in the title race, but I am sure that this match will still be interesting because both of them are still very ambitious to get points.

Lyon vs Nantes

It is currently a half-time break. The score on the break is one- one. There is a huge chance of a draw in this match. I personally think Lyon should be able to win this match. I believe they at least have a better chance. But watching the progress of this match so far, I believe it is not going to be easy.
1211  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash is not trash on: March 17, 2023, 02:14:57 AM
But bitcoin is often used for investment rather than payment because its value fluctuates and the price is unpredictable, let's say that you have bought some btc at a price of $ 25k in February and now the price is falling at $ 20k, so you definitely won't convert it to fiat or buy any item with btc because the price is now reduced, unless you are not an investor who only buys items using btc any time. But fiat users will not be replaced or lost even if there are many digital payments or using crypto payments.
I still really love Bitcoin so I will still save Bitcoin instead of spending it to get other things. Because as long as I can keep Bitcoin and can get the things I need using fiat, I will never bother Bitcoin in my wallet and will continue to keep it for long-term investment because it is true that Bitcoin is more suitable for investment than for paying something even though it could be done by some business people.

And now I'm starting to see joy when I see an increase in the price of Bitcoin that has returned to the market, because it is a very good improvement and is also expected by some investors this year. So I won't be spending my Bitcoin on anything at this point other than just investing.

Many people say that it is necessary to use bitcoin as a payment method because it is the best way for bitcoin to become popular. That is absolutely right, but honestly, I don't think anyone wants to spend their bitcoin because everyone knows that the value of bitcoin in the future is huge. Nobody doesn't want to be rich and have a lot of money, so I don't want to use or spend bitcoin to buy something either. I feel it's a waste, as we already have fiat to help us do it.
1212  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: March 16, 2023, 04:26:23 AM
In comes to lending money, specifically, to family members, I always have that hesitation at first but end up lending them anyways. But in terms of payment, if they do pay on time and wont give me hard time getting the money back, I would never hesitate to lend them again. If they do not have that initiative to pay it, I will never let them be able to lend from me again. So, in your case, since he was untrustworthy, I would have done the same thing. And, you did the right thing. I think the best way to handle the situation of letting down the person's request to lend money is trying to explain and help them in other ways, since they are still a family. But, I must admit that your cousin is kind of toxic in a way that he let money issues affects the relationship you had as a family.

I do the same as you, not only with my family members but also with my close friends. If they pay on time, I am willing to lend them back, but if they break their promise, there will never be a second time.
I have the same situation as OP, it's my cousin. I have also loaned him many times in the past, but the last 2 times, I was very tired of asking for money when needed, and then I found out that he borrowed money to play games, not work. I haven't loaned him any more money since then, and he ignored me for a long time. I'm almost not too upset and have no regrets about such relationships.
1213  Economy / Speculation / Re: When you're so inlove with BTC on: March 16, 2023, 04:10:52 AM
The thing that makes us like Bitcoin is an increasingly expensive future opportunity, the biggest surprise after ATH occurs again today because the price has gone up more than 18% and the current price position reaches $ 26500, I'm sure the price will continue to skyrocket and make panic buying because Prices skyrocketed again.
The volatility of bitcoin and the possibility of making a lot of money are without a doubt two very powerful reasons which explains in part why bitcoin is so popular, but this only touches the surface, after all we need to wonder why this is the case to begin with? Why people value bitcoin at all? And this comes from the fact that bitcoin as a concept is way better than fiat currencies, gold or the CBDCs currencies governments are releasing, and this explains why the interest in bitcoin will remain high for a very long time.

I have no doubt when you say that bitcoin has many features superior to fiat, gold, or government-issued CBDCs. But I still think that people love bitcoin, crazy about it simply because of the profit it gives people. I think profit is the most important part for bitcoin to become popular as it is today.

I still see people talking about privacy, being a cross-border payment method, and being our own bank... but what I hear the most is the price of bitcoin. It is mentioned every day, even on this forum or in bitcoin discussions out there.
1214  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expectations for March?! on: March 16, 2023, 03:53:38 AM
After yesterday the price skyrocketed by almost 20% then in March I'm sure I can return to $ 30k soon, maybe the price will last a long time at $ 30k but slowly it will continue to rise and I think March is the beginning of the market exploding, and I don't hesitate anymore to keep buying before it gets worse expensive.

Working hard to accumulate bitcoin at this stage is the most important, don't worry too much about bitcoin price because if it doesn't increase in price this year, next years or in the future, it will also increase in price.

Speaking of the short-term price of bitcoin, I doubt that bitcoin will hit $30k this month, although there has been a spike in growth after the CPI was announced. So far, we can still see that bitcoin is under $25k, so it's hard to say for sure. Whether bitcoin goes up or down, I will focus on accumulation because when bitcoin hits $100k, we won't be able to accumulate bitcoin at the current price.
1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 15, 2023, 07:08:24 PM
This type of behavior has vanished from Indian cricket tho and we hardly see such incidents. The main reason is all fanatic fans take out their frustration on social media only.
Also, i feel the majority of Indian fans are maturing, the reason I am saying this is because no drama takes place on the airport or roads (except social media) when team India fails in ICC tournaments and they are failing for quite some time now. These days fans are also divided in different fan clubs like Dhoni fan club, Rohitians, Viaratians or Sanju fan club etc. Booing players during the match is just a side effect of IPL popularity and imaginary rivalry between fanclubs.
I agree that the boorish behavior from the fans have become rare. Not sure whether it is due to fans becoming more mature, or because the Indian police becoming more competent in arresting the culprits. Anyway, we can't blame the fans solely. After all, some of the senior players do behave like monkeys on and off the field. At least some of the fans may get influenced by them. And I am not sure whether the IPL teams have a large fanbase. In India, fandom is mostly based on the player. Some (like Kohli and Rohit) have fans all over India, while some others (including Samson) have fan bases concentrated in certain geographies.

Of course, this type of incident has happened before. No one can forget that infamous incident after the 2007 World Cup. A lot of people or should I say "fans" attacked a lot of senior players' houses. Now of course the Indian police have become more active. And we have also entered into an online era. So almost every Tom, Dick, and Harry are calling out a lot of players online. A lot of Twitter wars are going on. Basically, the world has become soft.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 15, 2023, 06:56:29 PM
The UAE cricket team has had some inconsistent performances in the past, but it is important to note that cricket is a game of uncertainty, and even the best teams have their ups and downs. That being said, the UAE team has some talented players and has shown in the past that they can compete with some of the strongest teams in world cricket. It is possible that with more consistent performance and better team strategy, they can achieve better results in the future.
Hosting a series against the likes of Zimbabwe, Afghanistan and Bangladesh could be a good opportunity for the UAE team to gain more experience and boost their confidence, especially as these teams are also looking to improve their performance in international cricket. Trying to improve.
Lack of consistency in cricket is a common problem of the UAE team. They sometimes perform so well that deserves praise but sometimes they lose that consistency and their good performance is not appreciated. But in this stage Nepal has come a long way from that place.
I think these smaller teams could have had a good experience if they had the chance to play with a few good teams like Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Srilanka.

UAE has not been consistent at all. And a big reason for that is no player in the team can be trusted to perform well in any situation. The only reason UAE won this match against Papua New Guinea was Muhammad Waseem scored a century.

I understand he played well and the other players played around him and supported him. But imagine he does not get the century. Imagine he gets out after getting into the 50s. I do not think it was going to be so easy for the UAE to win this match as well. After all, they have lost four in a row. So the confidence is not the highest as well for the UAE.
1217  Economy / Speculation / Re: Maybe it's time for BTC to take off and reach the $100K on: March 14, 2023, 02:02:59 PM
$100k to the value of bitcoin is only a matter of time, but we are at a stage where there are more obstacles and more difficulty for recovery than bullish.  This will not happen any sooner than we are experiencing.  That's just a hypothesis and speculation, best would probably be to wait until the next halvings. Assuming the banking system continues to collapse, trust will be bitcoin and crypto.  Macro growth is gradually taking shape. Only 1BTC = 1BTC
Bitcoin price and demand will grow more even if the banking system won't collapse (I'd never expect it though). Because the reason why Bitcoin will gain more demand is due to market adoption where more stores are accepting BTC payments. Yes, it is a matter of time and certainly, it takes more time to reach that $100k level. But I wasn't really focusing on it as it eventually comes when it was time and halving is somewhat having a huge help in this matter as it is also the reason when we reach the new ATH past 2021.

The collapse of 3 US banks shows the benefits of bitcoin these days, but don't expect that the more banks go bankrupt, the better for bitcoin. Because once the financial system collapses, it will disrupt the world economy, and we will sink into bigger troubles in life, I don't expect that either.
The value of an asset depends on supply and demand, as long as the demand for bitcoin increases steadily, it is only a matter of time before the price of bitcoin skyrockets even over $100k. We don't need to be impatient because, sooner or later, it will happen.
1218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is ageing and old people part of bitcoin? on: March 14, 2023, 01:52:13 PM
Bitcoin is the same as assets or money, all humans who already understand money can use bitcoin, and the biggest surprise occurs again today because the price has crossed a psychological limit of $ 25k and has now reached $ 26500, up more than 18% in 24 hours when I write This post, I'm sure the price will continue to skyrocket and predict that this year will reach New ATH can happen again.

Bitcoin is also a currency, an asset class, but its use is a bit more complicated than using fiat or gold. Because bitcoin is a digital currency, those who want to use bitcoin need to have a basic knowledge of the technology, which is quite difficult for many elderly. Among the elderly, not everyone can use the internet, so it is difficult to recommend bitcoin to them. So by introducing them to bitcoin, we're really giving them a hard time.

February CPI was 6%, as expected and bitcoin had a massive rally to $26.5k, but for bitcoin to hit new ATH this year, we need more big news like that. And I don't think it's going to happen.
1219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 13, 2023, 04:24:11 PM
The Juventus-Sampdoria match was a duel of goals. Juventus started the match fast and scored in the early minutes.  After doubling the lead in the 26th minute, the hosts conceded one goal after another 6 minutes later and had to close the first half with a draw. Juventus increased the pressure to win in the second half and scored the 3rd goal with a fast game. The team, who also missed a penalty, won the match 4-2 with a goal in the last minutes. Thus, the point difference with Atalanta was reduced to 4.
Juventus are quite comfortable with the game this time. but they conceded 2 goals which I didn't expect. although eventually, Juventus improved their game with their dominant play in midfield.
I don't think Juventus are comfortable with the 3-5-1-1 formation that is used very often. their performance is not bad, but it seems that they are not optimal in the placement of several players.

When I was watching the game, I saw that the score is 2-2. I thought probably Juventus is going to end this match with a draw. But in the end, it was good to see that Juventus was able to win the match. Juventus is steadily going ahead toward the sixth position of the table. They have certainly improved. It is really unbelievable to see that they are coming back even though they suffered to that point in this season.

The next match of Juventus is going to be very hard for them. It is against Inter. I don't know if Juventus will be able to get a win from that or not.

Just In.
Pakistani team not going to India for ICC ODI world cup later this year. According to local news source Geo, Government of Pakistan has refused to issue NOC to Pakistan Cricket team due to there security and safety concerns in India.
The decision is in reply to India refusal to come to Pakistan for Asia Cup. Pakistan has already qualified for ODI world cup and there absence will give chance to one more team from qualifiers to Participate in worldcup.
It was assumed that such a decision could be taken. India will not go to Pakistan because they have security concerns and Pakistan also responded that they also have security concerns. So what will be the status of the Asia Cup? Either India or Pakistan is absent in cricket, the excitement that would have been created in that tournament is unlikely to happen this year. However, since there is still have enough time, a compromise could be made if they desire but no one wants to do that.

This has certainly taken an interesting turn. I thought Pakistan is going to play in the World Cup regardless of whether India came to Pakistan for the Asia Cup or not. But Pakistan also seems to be very angry about the decision taken by India of not going to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.

I mean Pakistan has a valid reason. After all, Pakistan has shown very less hatred towards India or Hinduism. Compared to Pakistan, India has actually shown a lot of hatred towards Muslims. So, I would argue that the Pakistan players actually have a far bigger problem going to India compared to Indian players going to Pakistan.
