421  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Criminals and Bitcoin on: May 02, 2018, 05:45:08 PM
Do you think that the members on this forum are criminals as majority here is using crypto. I think that mostly it is used by common people like you and me.
It is interesting that you mention that, because based on the time that a person has been involved in crypto currency there could probably be fairly accurate assumptions based on that information alone. It would need to be compared to big news stories about Bitcoin that came out in the same time frame. I would wager that early adopters are far more likely to have been involved in crime than people who would just be getting into it in the last year.
422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why so many Bitcoin users have fear of governments? on: May 02, 2018, 05:39:13 PM
Most of the people that first got involved into Bitcoin were cypherpunk or libertarian, or both Grin libertarian viewpoints are somewhat logical, but then there are zealots and also people who take that into extreme anarchism. Naturally a semi untraceable digital currency attracted these types of people as early adopters. It's the same case with social justice warriors creating mobs on twitter, certain platforms tend to have a bias and mob mentality.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Etherscan Issues Lately? on: May 02, 2018, 05:36:24 PM
Anybody else having etherscan issues? Just now I got an error, similar to one that seemed like it didn't connect at all when I was looking up a wallet. My internet is fine, it was the etherscan website that gave a generic error. Refreshed and it connected to show the tokens. Also, a week or so ago it completely didn't even show tokens in wallets. That seemed to fix after several minutes. Do you just think these are errors from server load? Maybe the website is getting too popular Grin
424  Economy / Speculation / Re: Success of Bitcoin in April 18 on: May 02, 2018, 05:25:57 PM
In April, the bitcoin rate increased by 33%. This is the most successful month for the main crypto currency for the entire 2018 year.
How do you think  bitcoin will show higher growth in one month during 2018 or will April remain the most successful?
Well as far as value goes, the 33% is nice and all but it's over a smaller amount of money. Just like McAfee and other people have said, it's easier for a coin that is .001 to become $1 than it is for a $1,000 coin to become $100,000. Although the percentage gain would still be the same. I feel like this year is the year where Bitcoin really starts to shine, so April won't be the biggest by percent or total value.
425  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price fall day by day ? on: May 02, 2018, 05:20:17 PM
We see that bitcoin price fall day by day.I didn't understood why bitcoin do this.We know cryptomarket always fluctuate. But present market is very fluctuate and already I lost my real capital 60% previous of december to present time.
Why bitcoin goes falling down.Have any reason? Please tell me.

Market was in a prolonged correction from the new all time high. As you can see a month later now, this was the perfect time to buy because it was in such a down trend. Now there will likely be a second correction with an up trend, because the market corrected too far downwards into oversold territory. From April there have been BIG gains on currencies.
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin too complicated for ordinary folks? on: May 02, 2018, 05:13:05 PM
I think Bitcoin it’s not the problem but how all the different UI and application around it that are making it more complex than it should be

we need to improve in the same way bank and credit cards have hided all the complexity of using their tech

I always think about the average folks like Mums and grannies have really hard time understanding cryptos
Yeah I'm fairly certain it is a UI issue. With the banking system all you need is an account and they give you this fancy magic card that does all the transactions for you. With Bitcoin you have to copy and paste and double check a long string of numbers. It should just be a click of a button, and I think even scanning a code with a phone is a little too cumbersome. We need easy hardware like a magnetic card strip.
427  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cybersec mentorship on: May 01, 2018, 06:38:57 PM
Be careful what you wish for. Instead of looking for a mentor I suggest doing research on your own instead. Your "mentor" could potentially just take advantage of you.

Anybody involved with operational security knows one slip up and the whole entire operation is in jeopardy. Somebody with field experience ready to compile a list of things to do in order to maintain proper security is extremely valuable for a newer person who does not wish to suffer a catastrophic failure, resulting in complete compromise.
428  Economy / Services / Re: Cybersecurity mentorship on: May 01, 2018, 05:49:34 PM
I contacted you. I do not condone the use of advanced operational security for illegal purposes and committing crimes. If you truly want an expert with a lot of field experience then I'm probably one of the best people you could contact. From very minor security so you won't be low hanging fruit, to complete anonymity and becoming a ghost, I doubt you could find a more experienced mentor.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] KEYCO [KEC] - CHATBOT AND CRYPTOCURRENCY *POW*MASTERNODES 90%*CPU*ASIC RES on: May 01, 2018, 04:48:08 PM
I think the masternode concerns are warranted. I do like the idea of a chatbot incorporated somehow. We'll have to see how that plays out, but a blockchain with bot functionality seems like a nice asset. Also, the blockchain has freaking ads in it?! Never heard of that before. Of course could just be all talk and lies, but those ideas seem REALLY nice! Time will tell, think I'll experiment in trying to mine this on that pool just announced.

edit:yeah doesn't look like that pool is mining
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vitality on: May 01, 2018, 04:38:26 PM
R7 1800X - 250-280KH/s = 11 coins in 4 hours...before diff shot up
launching today with new algo cpu mining nethash pool 288MH i think its does not make sense..
maybe someone or ?? hacked to build gpu miners, like wavi or etc..
not really new algo

Judging by these 2 posts it makes sense that it is an already established algorithm that is being concealed so people can get mining advantage. I think the R7 1800x speed is the same as x11 speeds so that's probably what it is. I'm just using the things other people have posted, those data points could be false. But something sketchy is definitely happening.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did ETH changed crypto world? on: May 01, 2018, 04:24:21 PM
ETH is the king of altcoins. It literally breeds new altcoins (well tokens actually) that are born every day. IOSt is one such token that I'm participating in the signature campaign of. It has hundreds of millions in daily volume. ETH made that possible...pretty impressive when you think about how ETH has expanded the space. I never liked ETH in the beginning days but now I'm fond of it!
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investing more than 10k worth it? on: May 01, 2018, 04:22:03 PM
is it a gambling habit that you invest more than 10k? most people that are into crypto are working and taking classes at the same time. only to take loans for school to put into crypto. should you invest more than 10-30k dollars worth of crypto? back then people are investing only 1,000 to 5,000 into bitcoin. how serious is crypto. back than i hear people opening 2nd loans from their homes. but now it has quiet down a bit.
It's kind of a bad financial move to take a loan to buy a currency because the currency itself isn't generating money. Perhaps with a proof of stake coin it could be a better move, but even then you're exposed to extreme speculation. The interest on a loan is a big problem, so whatever you do with the loan money would have to outperform the interest and monthly payments.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market manipulation should be prosecuted on: May 01, 2018, 03:29:14 PM
It's interesting because the short squeeze a little while ago that started this rally could most likely be manipulation. That would have to be somebody inside with the knowledge of the shorts, though. They would have to know the margin order books. At any one time the exchanges don't have very much on them, all things considered. Also I don't think Bitcoin is regulated like that yet to punish manipulators.
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm very disappointed with myself. on: May 01, 2018, 03:23:19 PM
Always have an exit strategy. Maybe you can stand to lose 20% before you sell and try to reevaluate where the market is heading. And vice versa if you can feel good about selling a coin that has gone up 3x, maybe leave some coins to see if it rises further, but being ok if you sold at 3x an then later it goes to 10x. There's no need to be so zealous about coin investment. Just know where you're comfortable getting out on both sides.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the Green Days back ? on: May 01, 2018, 03:19:19 PM
Yeah everything is green now...i think that the second half of each year is the green half for the crypto world
Maybe, right now it is green and red from day to day. Seems like consolidation that's for sure, so we'll have to see where the next move takes us. Hopefully everybody is careful and can get some profit. There's a lot of money to be made in this scene and lots of different ways to do it.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ATTENTION EVERYONE! MEW isn't safe to use right now. on: May 01, 2018, 03:17:40 PM
there is no news on the official site which indicates that company will try to recover the things as soon as possible and does n't create a situation of panic where everyone starts selling their funds, in way to save from stolen.
Does my ether wallet even make money from people using their service? I'm not aware of any fees they take or anything, so really it would be quite impossible for them to recover the money. To think an entire DNS like google could be spoofed or hacked and steal a bunch of people's money is just crazy. Wonder how that was even pulled off.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you know its time to sell your altcoins? on: May 01, 2018, 03:10:34 PM
Set limits for when you'd sell. Also, don't liquidate all your holdings in that coin. Keep a few hundred or thousand and if the coin truly becomes the next big thing that will be enough. It doesn't matter if you sell a majority at 410% if you keep some and it later goes to 1,000%+.
438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins for illegal activity on: April 26, 2018, 04:09:39 PM
Thank you, you may be right. Almost every good thing has a bad side of it. And the bad people will always look for any avenue to keep their bad work moving.
Anyways its quite unfortunate to know that Bitcoin is used for drug exchange. But not everyone is affected by that.
Bitcoin's main purpose was for criminal use until the last few years. I think after Silk Road got busted it changed a little bit, but more criminals then heard of Bitcoin from the big news agencies reporting it and then became involved in the black market from there. In many ways if Bitcoin was never used in the black market, it wouldn't be what it is today.
439  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do people sell at 15 when the price could rebound to 30? on: April 26, 2018, 04:03:46 PM
Yes, sometimes I have to sell small amount of bitcoin to get cash just because nobody acccepts cryptocurriencies in my town.
Why did you gravedig a post from 2011 LOL? Bitcoin was actually $15 then. I suspect this is around the time the price flash crashed from $40. This guy would be a millionaire by now and probably not even on these forums. But seriously, people can we stop grave digging posts from 7 years ago? Let's all stop posting on this so it doesn't get bumped to the top again.
440  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] IOS - Signature & Avatar Campaign | Up to $150/week in BTC & Tokens! on: April 25, 2018, 01:05:26 PM
Yes the posts are included. And the payment has been delayed only a couple days because he didn't get the extra IOSt and Bitcoin until like 24 hours ago or something, which was likely when he was asleep or whatever. So on the day Madz decides to do everything (on sundays) the campaign rounds ended up being on Friday-Friday and Madz got a late payment for this week's coins and the other week's coins as well. No big deal in my opinion and not really the manager's fault, not really anybody's fault that there has been a couple days delay because the escrow wallet wasn't stocked up for past week 1.

Just something that happened. Madz is working overtime on this campaign it seems.
