421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: January 12, 2024, 07:00:46 PM
there are still many who can't understand and play it correctly, because maybe they think they're right with the goal of winning, even though what is clear is that the results cannot be predicted, right? ?
Sometimes people play a lot for fun but have no control over the time and amount of bets, this is wrong and will lead them to experience bad things in their lives later. Therefore, in playing gambling well, you don't need to overdo your pursuit of victory, especially considering that gambling can make a lot of money, which is a wrong idea.
That's because they have a goal to win the gambling game, so they have difficulty stopping gambling, and their intention to stop gambling will just disappear. Moreover, if they can win, they will intend to continue gambling again to get another win. They don't realize that it will pose a greater risk, especially if they have already won, but instead want to go back to gambling again. People who have a lot of time and spend gambling will slowly experience problems that they might not have expected. They don't think they will get a problem like that, so they can't solve it. They just think that gambling can get rid of the problem even though it doesn't. We must prevent ourselves from gambling again, especially when we have won, to avoid greater risks.
And what it is even worse is that in their minds their actions make sense, which can be infuriating for those that may want to help them to stop, because if they were able to find a way to beat the casinos then the more they gamble the higher the chances of winning, but it turns out that the majority of the methods a gambler may develop to beat the casinos do not work, and they will only find out this is the case after they have lost a lot of money when using all of those methods.

As long as we are having a wrong mentality of what gambling is, we will certainly be doing the wrong things continually, the one that annoys seing are that of the addictive gamblers and those are always chasing after the losses with their mentality of beating against the hose edge, some are even gambling and know nothing much about what they are doing, all they wanted is fun and join the other fellow gamblers gambling.
422  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC transactions unconfirmed for nearly 2 months. Can't find help. on: January 12, 2024, 06:33:04 PM
Unsure what to do. Sent BTC from external wallet to Cashapp, Cashapp refused them and made me reverse them to a different wallet (Coinbase).

The fees seems to be super low. Can't do RBF and don't know if Coinbase offers CPFP.

With what is happening now with transactions confirmation delay due to high fee rate, it's better to make confirmation on what the transaction fee is on the mempool before starting one, this will allow one of not being stucked along the way, the annoying part is that you cannot boost or pump the fee, I don't know what's actually going to happen, maybe we should expect that such could get confirmed the very moment the mempool has become stable again as before, having cheaper rates for performing transactions.
423  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why I get less batching unlike before on: January 12, 2024, 05:02:20 PM
When I first came into the forum I easily get criticized by my actions, though I still get some sticks now but on a less note, but I have learned.

Do you actually call that batching on you, maybe you feel like you're not been liked by many because of whom you're, but is wasn't so, they are rather correcting the mistakes and errors you made, the batching isn't directly on you but the wrong you might have done, so I don't want you to make it feels offensive on you how you were being corrected for doing wrong, we are here to learn and grow altogether.

I have observed that as a newbie it is more important to learn by reading people post and comment than engaging in it, and for the few months I have been here I have really find it beneficial to me as a person in terms of knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large.
My advice to my fellow newbies is learn to listen more than talking, so that you can learn something new.

There's no how an empty vessel will be able to unleashed a content it doesn't have anything on, when you're a newbie, you will take time to learn before engaging on postings or creating threads, this will help alot because you would have been positioned through your learning periods how to make a quality post, when you learn first, making post will be easy to do, you learn about bitcoin and also the forum altogether.
424  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin ETF will make way for altcoins ETF on: January 12, 2024, 04:12:31 PM
The much talked about Bitcoin ETF has finally been approved by the united states' SEC, I know that the development will bring many people to invest in Bitcoin and it will increase the adoption of Bitcoin. Ethereum is also inline to get approval also for ETF, starting in May, this year, if there is no delay and they get it, big companies like blackrock and Invesco, are warming up for Ethereum ETF.

If Ethereum ETF is approved by the US SEC, then it can open the door for other top rated altcoins like BNB, Litecoin, and Solana, to also want to get ETF approvals. Then people can have more to choose for investment. They might become competition for Bitcoin if they get plenty investors

Do you think that this will be a good development if Bitcoin and many altcoins have ETF?

This is not our decision to make, what we really want is about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies can stand on their own because you can't be arest assured of any cryptocurrency when you can discover something nice about them today and find out another thing entirely different about them tomorrow, remember there are shitcoins, wouldn't they also want to get approval for ETF, there's no how Ethereum can begin and other prominent altcoins will not follow suite.
425  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: All professions are important on: January 12, 2024, 02:53:14 PM
The only thing that makes difference in every profession is our expertise, how experience are we in the area of our profession, are we doing more to learn and advance what we do or we maintain sitting on the same spot over a long period of time, we cannot expect something new without doing something different, we need to always think about making what we do advances to the next stage in life, this is one of the evidence to show how relevant it is and how determined we are in doing what we love doing best through our professions.
426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think women will make better gamblers by their nature? on: January 11, 2024, 09:36:14 PM
Women by nature are more conservative than men. They are better manager of resources and know how to prioritise things. This is what is needed for successful gambling because with it, the chances of using funds meant for basic needs in gambling will be minimised.

So do you think women will make better gamblers than men?

Without compromise for anything, we all know how women appears in general and they are not that interested in gambling like me do, only few can go for gambling, this is all about their own kind of nature and not that they just wish not to, some of those gambling were doing it by the virtue of them being occupied with something in their hands because a seriously busy womanay not have time for gambling when she can be busy with house chores and the little money she has is better to be used on the family than gambling with what they have earned, this is a very common mentality out women had towards gambling and I can't blame them for it, so my answer is no.
427  Economy / Economics / Re: How to stay poor! on: January 11, 2024, 09:27:51 PM
The easiest way of staying poor are many, but this two are the very common ones, the first one is to remain idle without finding something doing that could help earn a living, instead be moving around like the radio waves without bearing, secondly, is when you think you've got the money but spending it on wasteful things that are not beneficial to you and yet no investment was made in reserve as backup for in case of any emergency.
428  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Hand work and skill or well paid government employee on: January 11, 2024, 09:23:10 PM
I use to advise as many people I have an encounter with about career in life, what I first tell is for the to look beyond the present and set more focus on the future, does the job they wanted to embark on has a future benefits or advantage or they just want to do such and ended up wasting their time to be served nothing at the end, maybe it was tldie to lack of some of these understandings that make some of the senior citizens we see today unable to make life affordable for themselves at old age because they've got nothing to fall back on.
429  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Scam and hack 4 9ja on: January 11, 2024, 09:17:28 PM
Scam happens and are real,if we are never been misfortune for any doesn't mean they don't exist, we should always make sure that we don't get hunted by one out of our careless mistake, also we have to monitor well things we do online, some of us have made ourselves more vulnerable to these scams through various dealings we go through online even without our conscious effort about knowing them to be scam.
430  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Investing into crypto really safe? on: January 11, 2024, 09:13:37 PM
When we are talking about cryptocurrency, it's a general term that constitutes all other digital currencies and am sure we may not want to recognize some as currency because they are just a piece of trash or shitcoins, but where to begin with is in the identification of bitcoin as the most recognized digital currency, which we can safely invest and have no fear about what may comes in after, if we don't make research about knowing what to do first, we may ended up wasting time on what is not necessary for us in cryptocurrency.
431  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Am a Beginner on: January 11, 2024, 09:08:48 PM

434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it looks responsible as woman telling husband you gamble? on: January 10, 2024, 03:23:42 PM
Does this worth telling him or not please i need you collective ideas.

Everything has to be base on understanding of each other, there are times that we need to speak and say some things that will bring liberation to the current challenges we are facing while we can also choose to utter a word and the whole things got ruined, I expected her to understand the nature of the kind of situation they are into currently before making any money to say something to the man, if you know that some people around you will be highly disappointed in you after discovering that you're a gambler, then it's better you prevent that from happening right on time.
435  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More reason you should protect your privacy and anonymity as a Bitcoin holder. on: January 10, 2024, 02:37:46 PM
Every cryptocurrency person know quite well that privacy is the most important in cryptocurrency because if we try to make our private key to be public we might weak up the next day and whatever we have in our address get disappeared with a minute, that is why when anything concerning privacy ring to me I seems it like something that have to do with precautions and if we lost our coin because of making our private key to public its because of our carelessness that makes it to happen that way.

For a reasonable person, you don't need to be told before knowing the right thing to do, one of the reasons why cryptocurrency is a solution giver to our financial economy is the privacy, then why wouldn't we take every measure we need to take and ensure we have the privacy needed to use this digital network, if we are allowing ourselves to be vulnerable to any third party then we are making no difference to where we have started from in using fiat, privacy begins with what we do, where we do them and how, know the kind of wallet to use and secure your sensitive informations from the public.
436  Other / Meta / Re: FRAUD called "jvanname" create many trash at Serious discussion on: January 10, 2024, 01:30:33 PM

Mate, I don't think you need this at all, we are here just to achieve a common goal together with others, e even if our ideas are not welcome by some doesn't mean we are the odd among millions or a black sheep, some things were not done by violence, just as I can't force people to accept my own opinion, there may be others who do and I don't know, you don't have to go to that extent using FF words, someone like digaran could have even done more worse than you did.
437  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How to end indecision and delay on bitcoin investment on: January 10, 2024, 01:05:25 PM
The following is the most valuable guidelines of ending indecision and delay during investment on bitcoin.
1. Identify the area of indecision and remove fear that leads to failure.
2. Focus more on the benefits not on the losses.
3. Create timetable and gives deadline
4. Always be optimistic by avoiding spirit of pesmistic
5. Avoid people opinion because it may be harmful mostly coming from wrong source
6. Always be self confidence
7. Understand the scope others has taken to succeed
8. Evaluate positively and negatively  your past indecision and delay consequences
9. Put into action what your mind tells you without second thought.
I think this can help us this year on Bitcoin investment , please add yours to help our growth.

Ending this lies in our hands, we are the one fully involved in it, so we should know what we must do to ensure that we make the best decision on our own interests, making bitcoin investment is as easy as having the right thing to do, but the moment we are not on track with what we do, then we may need to be extra careful about what we are already into because we cannot manage to get out of what has already turned a trouble on us.

439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lack of proper knowledge on casino games increases chance of loss and reduce fun on: January 09, 2024, 04:03:38 PM
More or less experience gives better results in everything but in casino or gambling experience does not always win the bet rather luck in gambling or casino often favors. Sometimes inexperienced gamblers get big profits just because of luck while many times experienced gamblers face big losses because of bad luck. So in this case I will not give priority to experience for gambling but in this case gambler's luck often gives more results than experience.

If you have experience or not, you're almost likely to be the same as someone who doesn't because you're either to win or loose regardless of whom you're, gambling treat everyone as equal, also it depends on the kind of games we are gambling on, some have to do with nhiw skillful we are while some how knowledgeable we appear and the last aspect are games that only deals with how lucky we have been on playing them, all these will determine whether we win or loose regardless of being a newbie or experience gambler.
440  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to get rich, you have to become immune to the money.......! on: January 09, 2024, 03:15:59 PM
To have money is something very difficult to achieve but when we have it, it's another great challenge on us to know how we can maintain it and sustain having it for life, money is what needs to be invested upon, we cannot have it today and think otherwise we will be rich in it when we are not doing anything to make sure that the money is being invested on something that is going to bring more of it's kind, use of money must be utilized well enough to avoid wasting of it beca there might be no other opportunity of having more again.
