421  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Poloniex Is gradually becoming a gox 2 on: May 09, 2017, 08:37:45 PM
Poloniex is probably overloaded, there is a lot of volume on it, and the staff may be over demanded, you could try to resubmit your ticket, or contact this user https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=139578
he posted the announcement thread of poloniex in the forum.
422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: another unconfirmed transaction for 2 days delay on: May 09, 2017, 08:29:47 PM
I tried but i got this message :

Submissions are beyond limit. Please try later.

 Sad
keep on trying, by the way you hsould move your funds to a different wallet, multibit is really outdated either classic or HD. You could use the core wallet, prune it, and let it sync, or you can use copay, jaxx, exodus depending on the features you need.
423  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Windows or Linux for Wallet Software? on: May 09, 2017, 08:23:35 PM
I prefer you windows wallet software because I know that windows is always better product because better kind of qualities because it is so big time and money invested to create it better than any other so I will always prefer windows.

I think that you are either new to the IT world, or completly blind to security threats.

https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-major-difference-between-Windows-and-Ubuntu
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/6-things-ubuntu-better-windows/
http://www.techradar.com/news/software/operating-systems/os-showdown-windows-10-vs-linux-1299406

Ubuntu is just better on a lot of sencitive points, especially security because windows is backdoored.
the workflow of windows is simple, first make a commercial demo of a product, get some hyip and invest some marketing budgets. Then release it as is, and fix the bugs later, if they get to a dead end bug, they just leave it.

ubuntu is made by the community of the developers who works on it, if you have any problem, you can either solve it yourself and fork it, or ask for the devs to help you. which is far better then an unresponcive so called support.
424  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Windows or Linux for Wallet Software? on: May 09, 2017, 07:20:15 PM
Oh Yeah, it's my first time to properly have a Linux OS, so I want the easiest to use version.

I have used Red Hat Linux at work, but only poking around to make the basics work, I am no expert!

You should go for Ubuntu, as it has a nice UI and is widely used. when it comes to Linux, each user have his own preferences, but in the end what ever you want to use you will have a linux system with different features.
Personally i like Ubuntu because it has a nice GUI, the unity bar is just useless to me, but if you are a MAC user, then it should be handy.

Beside that, no difference.
425  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin API for free? Which best? on: May 08, 2017, 06:17:39 PM
Instead of using the SDK, why not using simple calls ?
I had a look at these and it can be hard to walk into, depending on your skills, you may create your own classes if you work with PHP, and secure the calls. For sure it would be a better sollution if you don't want to go with the hassle of implementing them.

I suggest you to stay with blockcyfer, as blockchain.info uses to stop their services sudently without notice, they may even stop the issuance of keys.
426  Economy / Goods / Re: Need a physical Bitcoin debit card on: May 08, 2017, 06:02:29 PM
I think BitPay has a debit card you can buy. Im not sure if they can ship it to you or if you can use it.

As i said in my last post, i tried all of these solutions, bitpay, uquid, even these scamers of spectrocoins, coinsbank ...
I think that i can say i checked all of the providers, even wirex, by the way they have a poor faq and support.
427  Economy / Goods / Re: Need a physical Bitcoin debit card on: May 08, 2017, 12:06:15 PM
You should check your informations before asking, i tried all of these solutions a while ago, and untill now, none of these cards are shipped to algeria because the card issuers doesn't allow these organisations to ship card to Algeria.

These card issuers are the same for all the cards providers.

Basically there is nothing you can do in order to get bitcoin debit card in algeria. Even virtual cards are not allowed because the lisence provided doesn't allow them to provide such a service to Algeria, Syria, Afganistan and countries like that.

Sorry OP, i think that we are trapped in the 60s.
428  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Reverse engineering on: May 08, 2017, 10:25:25 AM
Maybe (if it's not copyright-protected), but it's impossible. Reverse engineering is very difficult. You'll have tons of trouble cracking a program, let alone rebuilding its source. But if you could do that (which is impossible as I said) you probably have the means to create better software yourself.

Thank you for the answer! Yes, I learned a bit of reengineering and reverse engineering (reflection, disassemblers, hexadumps....) (:

Additional questions are:
Is it better to start off from an open-source project or to work from basics?
What is the protection against if someone cracks your product and releases it as open-source or sells as his own?

Everything is a question of lisence. You can release your project as closed source or open source, you just need to justify the lisence applied.
Github doesn't hold only MIT projects.

Reverse engeneering is really hard to perform and it all depends on the language you use, i know that once you have compiled a C++ project (or nay other C) it is almost impossible to reverce it. If you don't strip the debuging tags, one can reverse it using a tool like clang.

For the other languages, it all depends on how you release, code, protect your project. You can apply for some tools who provide lisencing distribution model, like you release a trial version of your software, and thne people buy lisence to use it fully and so one ...

429  Economy / Exchanges / Re: C_CEX awfully slow to handle withdraw problem on: May 08, 2017, 10:16:52 AM
As far as I can see I've done nothing wrong with my C-CEX account, yet my attempt to withdraw XtraBYtes (XBY) funds is in vain! I have been collecting many screenshots of attempts to communicate with C_CEX support and the only thing happening is a robot answer stating
Quote
"Wallet is on maintenance now. Please, wait until we finish and we will be able to resolve this issue after that"
Huh
Yea! sure. Maintenance of an account certainly does not take over 24 hours. C_CEX was lightning fast to accept my funds when I filled up my account with my precious bitcoins. They are not so willing to let my have my money back now! Also, even after two messages to support, I still get the exact word for word automated answer. They apparently cannot do anything until the account is out of maintenance status.  I can understand that they are getting uncountable support request and that they have to resort to automated robotic reply system to keep up but that is not a way to handle my XBY portfolio.
C_CEX is not an exchange it is a gimmick to hold on your funds while making profit. At least that is what transpire from the behavior. Dont juge a person on his words but on his actions.
I want my funds C_CEX! What are you doing ?  And dont accuse me of not asking, I have sent you 2 support requests so far in the last 24 hours.    A suggestion anyone ?
Sorry to hear that thing happen into you but its still just on 24 hours and isn't too long for waiting time.Give them sometime to complete the maintenance and maybe they are really doing it.Just keep on the track on contacting them until a support responds-not a bot.If this situation would come out on days then that's the time you would really make some accusations.
Things got corrected. I now have access to my funds. thanks for the reply. I guess I was in panic mode because I didn't expect such a situation. Also because c-cex are not too fluid in their explanation.  Next time I,ll know better.

Good news, take the time to read the comments and scam accusations against exchangers, reviews etc ... it is important to know where you will send your funds either Bitcoins or fiats.
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ETH overtake BTC in market cap? on: May 08, 2017, 10:15:13 AM
it will sooner or later
No it won't.

They only viable way for ETH to catch up with bitcoin would be situation where bitcoin development would be halted, scaling issues never addressed.
In short: if current idiocy of supporting Bitcoin Unlimited will continue for years then ETH will have chance.
But in the moment we will have SegWit and Lightning Network operational, BTC will be complete.

I think this is the only thing needed to shut down ethereum from reaching Bitcoin status or overtake it the sooner it is implemented the sooner this will happen, altcoins are moving to catch Bitcoin because of these issues.

There is a point on which i agree with BU guys, Bitcoin core needs new features. Actually smart contracts is the most demanded features, but there are many things that be added on the Bitcoin blockchain.
Some of you may know about OP_RETURN sigop, this is what is used by counterparty and omnilayer to create assets bound to bitcoin addresses. Not only this sigop but it is a part of their solution. This is the way Bitcoin stores informations, so anyone can store messages, functions and things on bitcoin blockchain. The difference is that you can't execute it directly from the blockchain. you can retrieve it, parse it (because it is saved in HEX format) change it, and then work with it.

At least the basics for such features are aleready implemented.

Now regarding Ethereum, he will never overtake Bitcoin because it is not unique, there are a bunch of other projects who are implementing smart contracts on their chains which is the main HYP argument for Ethereum.
431  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE CASINO - GET YOUR CUT FROM DAILY TREASURE CHEST! on: May 08, 2017, 09:47:12 AM
Alex, can we have a RoaMap about the planned updates ? or at least a To-Do list of what is yet to be made ?
I was nice to receive the newsletter, i though there wasn't, at least bitdice isn't as annoying as other sites.

I would like not to disclose, as there were several events when other services incorporated our ideas before us Smiley

I was about to ask the exact same thing.
When will there be more alt coins available to place bets with?
I know litecoin and doge are the others but some more variety would also be welcomed to make it a more crypto friendly casino experience for all. Smiley

I do not know about any good coins to be added atm.

PS: Congratz Ash with an astonishing 105BTC PROFIT!

Regards,
Alex

Thank you Alex, i would like to suggest a live Poker game. I tested some platforms offering texas hold'em as User vs User but i noticed that many of these "Users" are bots.
It would be great if you create such game, especially if you stay in your actual line and not implement these bots. I am sure that it will draw a lot of users, and i would be happy to be at least able to play against humans.

What do you mean by 'live poker game'?  The cards dealt by a live dealer or do you mean something like 888.com's webcam poker tables?  Check the latter out, I think it's something Bitcoiners would love to play.  You can see your opponents via webcam.  At least that shows you aren't playing with bots.

Yes something like that, but due to the nature of Bitcoin, i don't think that webcam game is something interesting for bitcoiners.
And, bitdice's reputation is good enough to ensure that no bots are involved in the game.
Many other platforms are providing such games but with tons of bots, it is just unplayable.

I don't mean bots deployed by the site, but bots deployed by the players themselves.  Even Pokerstars has that problem.  There was a Chinese bot ring caught by them a few years ago at the PLO tables.  Who knows for how long they've been exploiting the system.

Another problem is player collusion.  Webcam poker could help a bit imo.  But not by much.  Cheaters online are really crafty.

Hello Alex, please consider adding Stratis there are altcoins starting to shift to it as a sidechain.

Microsoft started adopting its platform into its Azure Baas program

Lol.  You're kidding right?

There are some ways to catch bots, you could ask for some human verification system if hte users does X amount of actions in Y time frame. You can also check for the duration of the session, if it is more then 24 hours, then you can trigger something like " You should have some rest, you are playing since 24 Hours " and include a human check there.

what ever the cheaters do, there is always a way to catch them.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ETH overtake BTC in market cap? on: May 03, 2017, 09:51:17 PM
I invite you to check this website for all market cap informations, they aggregate informations from 366 data sources, i discovered them today and they offer great informations : https://cryptolization.com/ethereum
chart top-right : Bitcoin market cap
chart mid-right : ethereum market cap

At the time of posting, Eth: 7$b | Btc: 24$b

Ethereum's market cap still needs a lot of investments to catch Bitcoin's cap.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Idea: Scalable, flexible altcoin on: May 03, 2017, 07:29:56 PM
(…)

Yes, you forgot that many of these blockchains are clones of each other, some are forks with slight changes, and some are competing against each other and provides the same specifications.
It is just a big melting pot with different ingredients, but the soup is just disgusting because it is not balanced.

In a system in which additional decentralization is achieved by creating new blockchains, clones are not a problem. Quite the opposite, actually, because there is no reason not to use tested and working code again.

The incentive is not to create yet another "Bitcoin killer", which is "better" on a technical level and therefore will in theory overtake Bitcoin at some point (how many projects claimed that until now? And how many achieved that?), but to create a diverse ecosystem, in which a single blockchain can fail, because users can hedge against failure by changing blockchains.

If you know that there is not only one blockchain out there (i.e. the point of view of bitcoin/ethereum/whatever maximalists), but a number of blockchains, which, admittedly, have some differences to each other, This secures the blockchain system as a whole, because the failure of a single blockchain would not mean the end.

You could argue, that this is just describing the present, as it is right now and it kinda is. Still, I think this can be made leaner and cleaner.

One idea would be to make cross-chain transactions possible.

Another one would be to have one token not on one, but on multiple blockchains at the same time, thus preventing the user from losing the token in case of an attack or failure of a single blockchain.

The third would be to have different validation systems(i.e. PoW, PoS, DPoS, and so on) in place, for one, to let users choose their favourite, and secondly, to prevent attack vectors against either one of them.

Right now, different cryptocurrencies have no incentive to cooperate. In fact, it plays against their interests, since they are competitors.
If you'd create a new ecosystem, in which interchangeability would be a given, this kind of competitive behaviour would not be possible on a texhnical level, while "in-system" competition would drive development.

I guess in a way, what I am trying to describe here is the creation of a standart protocol, which allows blockchains to communicate with each other.

I have nothing agains RE-using a working code, but improvements must be provided.
Actually i am not that kind of user, looking for "bitcoin killer" and overtaking it ... what i am looking for is a crypto currencie, available worldwide, totally decentralized with some decent features, ans annon respect.
This is why i talked about an equilibrity in blockchain.
Now regarding blockchain communications, there is a project who may own a clue to a sollution who will let different blockchains communicate, codeX they will release soon.
434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why only now many countries recognize bitcoin as a virtual currency? on: May 03, 2017, 07:22:59 PM

Because its price is now sky high then many countries use bitcoin as virtual currency

What you think with phenomenal like this

It is all a question of market cap, bitcoin's value is huge, accepting it means that you will bring potencially 1B$ to your economy, and it is popular, so it is normal that more and more countries adopts Bitcoin. It will be like that for many years, untill Bitcoin dies.
It also brings a lot of usefull technologies and concepts, like the blockchain itself, you can't even imagine what countries can do with that, sooner or later, each citizen will have a blockchain ID with all the informations that ocmes with it as this system is cheaper and more secure then the actual systems.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is a billion blockchain again on: May 03, 2017, 07:13:38 PM
What I said about 2 months ago is that market cap of the digital currencies will reach $40-50 Billion by the Summer. This of course always include LTC.
That's what i said : https://cryptolization.com/
This website uses 366 data sources to calculate the charts content. So Crypto currencies are around 39B$.
436  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: May 03, 2017, 06:57:46 PM

Today many countries accept bitcoin as a virtual currency, is it because bitcoin is so high that they think bitcoin can change the country's economy, or because the country has many bitcoin users already?

I don't think.

Bitcoin is good for countries economies because it is a fresh flux of investments if they are correctly regulated and directed.
I hope that one day Algeria will accept Bitcoin, it would be great for our economy and could help us solve a lot of problems due to the currencies change black market (3 bil EUR market cap) as people could buy Bitcoin and sell it in foreign countries instead of playing with the black market.

This was just an example of how bitcoin could help a countries economy, but i think that regarding the countries who aleready accepted it as a virtual currency, the main advantage is the security, as it is far better then using a credit card (was ?), and it can give a good punch to start-ups growth (if they are not scam).
437  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 THIS WEEK 105BTC GOES TO ASH AND 75BTC TO SOOP! 🎰🎰🎰 on: May 03, 2017, 06:51:30 PM

Well alts are needed, we are experiencing a high traffic transactions in btc resulting to a large volume of unconfirmed tx making confirmations slow thus hindering people to gamble in btc.

https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

The site can also generate profit from the staking feature of stratis.

But it is up to the management.
Makes sense.Although adding the alts would make it one way easier, you would be still stuck with the unconfirmed transactions on the journey of your coin while converting back into bitcoins from the exchanges.Notable alts like Eth,Dash,Doge should be added mandatory as they're doing quite well and are stable.
i don't advise to add coins like stratis, i am not hearing anything from them since a long time, and it is not that popular. NXS is a popular project established since a long time, with a nearly finished roadmap. Soon they will setup a node in space which will bring the attention of the entire crypto world. they are easy to integrate and have both POW and POS, plus their blockchain and clients are very stable regarding the code quality.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is a billion blockchain again on: May 03, 2017, 06:44:24 PM
Suck on that!

Hey Spartac, i remeber some months ago when you predicted the rise, apparently you was right.
Do you think it is a stable growth in value or a temporare pump because of segwit and coinbase ?
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the future for altcoins? on: May 03, 2017, 05:43:25 PM
Hundreds of altcoins with new ones being created everyday, it's becoming increasingly confusing for average guys like myself to invest in . Surely most of these coins, maybe 99% of these coins will be dead in a few years. Only a few could be truly unicorns from this deluge of shitcoins, how can we as investors take an educated bet on a coin. What real benefit do any of these coins bring to the world? Why do we need a coin like matchpool, a token for decentralized dating  Huh Why do we need so many privacy coins monero, zcash , zcoin etc? Why do we need country coins like aurora solely for use in one country. Dogecoin and rare Pepes  Huh

What I want to know is simply what type of coin serve a real need in this world like bitcoin? Will it be Utility coin like factom, social media coin like synereo, platform coin like ethereum, privacy coins like zcash? Gaming coins like 1st blood or none of them provide enough of a benefit to be a success in the long run due to clones completely saturating the market or blockchain technology itself being overly hyped. What is the ideal use case of blockchain tech and do any of the existing coins provide it?

There are some Altcoins who are a real answer to a real world problem, the most funny point about them is that they get just a very few support, like namecoin, i like the concept, the idea, and how does it work.
While  P&D coins get a lot of attention, this is sadly because the Altcoin world is still too young to attract real investors, so instead, there are just some kids playing a bunch of satoshis, and then complains about been scamed by some nerdy scamers.

The thing is that Altcoin users should be more aware of the power they have. There is actually two projects i am foloowing closely, Nexus and codeX.
I am sure that Nexus will bring Altcoins to space, and they provide a real good code quality, i watched some of the videos made by the original creator of the coin, and i must say this guy really knows what he is doing, so for me it is one of the best projects actually based on an Altcoin.
CodeX is a great project run by an IA enthousiast, blockchainmechanic is really a good guy, and he will not issue an ICO like most of Altcoins did, it will be a crowd funding, with great features in the wallet, like, simultaneously running several coins from the same wallet, with a built-in IA with capacities to self-learn which is for me an enormous development to the blockchain technologie.

So the future of altcoins depends of projects like that who brings real new improvements and solutions to the real world problem. considering all the scams and complains from the users i am sure that authorities are aleready considering the regulation of Altcoins, and that will kill a lot of projects and put a load of users to jail (XMR, DASH and all the Annon coins).
440  Economy / Exchanges / Re: C_CEX awfully slow to handle withdraw problem on: May 03, 2017, 05:32:16 PM
Thanks Nemgun. Can you be a little more specific, I am new to all this jargon. When you say
Quote
always check the status of the wallets
what exactly do you mean? Should I check wallets of all the dealers from whom I dealt my coins? how could I do that? or are you referring to the trading platform wallet, in my case c-cex.  And, is the maintainer c-cex? How come these people are still trusted as an exchange platform? I sure am not be the first one?

One more question, why would you doubt that my accusation could be a scam. First, it is not an accusation it is a Fact declaration. I have all the proofs to back my statement. Second, I am not putting any accusation, it is simply an attempt from me to get help from the community on how I can manage to get my funds back.

Furthermore, where would you suggest I post my request if this is "wrong section for exchange related problems"
thanks for your support

1- I am talking the status of the exchange's wallet, it must always be checked prior to conduct any trade, because there are a lot who are just disabled.
2- C-CEX is not as much trusted as other exchanges, i presume it is considered as an ok exchange, but i remember of some issues about employees who scamed users, stealing their funds.
3- It is just the "jargon" of the forum, because regarding your statements, you can saythat C-CEX attempts to steal your funds, i don't think it is the case, they don't do it for low price currencies.
4- Your post have just been moved to the right section by the moderators.
