4301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bangladeshi Bitcoin Scammer got arrested on: January 15, 2021, 05:35:54 AM
Actually, scams are more frequent in Government regulated financial market. This is one instance where a scammer was converting his money into Bitcoin thinking it will be safe for him. If you are a criminal you will get caught someday. There is no way you can scam innocent people and run away with your money. This guy learned his lesson the hard way and he will not rot in jail aswell.
4302  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how do i give a merit point to someone ? on: January 15, 2021, 05:20:55 AM
So first, you need Merits if you want to give Merits to someone deserving in this forum. You are still holding a rank of a Newbie after being in this forum for more than 2 years.

Your topic heading does not match the content that you have written, if you carry on like this you will remain a Newbie for the next two years too. In my opinion, you should work on creating good content first and then think about Merits.
4303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you in panic whenever there is a big drop in price? on: January 15, 2021, 04:23:37 AM
I'm sure everybody have checked and saw the big drop -18.8% in 24 hours to be exact and keeps going down, we don't know if it will go further and so are the other top coins in the market, are you in panic, nervous that the market is bleeding like this, or do you accept this as part of the market movement, what kind of trader are you

I have been in this business for more than three years now and nothing can be compared to the drop that we all witnessed in 2018. Bitcoin volatility is not new and in the past such drops would have created panic selling in the market but now days it does not happen.
4304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 14, 2021, 04:45:32 AM
Kerala just need 46 runs in 56 balls and Mohammed Azharuddeen scored a century in 37 balls.

Damm! if this was an international tournament and then this would have become a record. I did some search on Google and found that AB De Villiers holds a record of the fastest century which was in just 31 balls against the West Indies in 2015.
4305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 14, 2021, 04:35:52 AM
Is anyone also watching the Test match between SL and ENG?

Just checked it on Google and found the probability of winning is more inclined towards SL and not ENG. This will be an interesting match to watch as I was expecting the English team has a good chance. SL has won the toss and chose to bat first
4306  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Crypto Browser Extensions 2021 on: January 14, 2021, 04:20:29 AM
This is a really big list of Chrome extensions. But, knowing Google I would avoid most of them as I do not believe in their authenticity. Plus for most of those mentioned extensions, there are genuine & trusted websites available. Out of the listed extensions I only use Metamask as it came in the form of an extension in the beginning rest I would ignore.
4307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you bought the dip? on: January 14, 2021, 04:10:21 AM
Actually, I think the real dip is yet to come for 2021. In my opinion, the bear market has actually not started yet. Bitcoin is still going strong if you actually check the USD value from the 14th of December. The dip you are referring to is can be manipulation by whales or a general profit booking. Today it is again up by more than 5 percent.
4308  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can quantum technology crack the secret key in the future? on: January 13, 2021, 04:18:42 AM
as far I know, to crack a complex password for example sha , you'll need centuries to crack those and you need like hundred supercomputers to do that but before that happens you'll be already dead when it happens, that's what I have read somewhere, but its just an estimate time and date not exact, so I think its a complete waste of time doing that.

Yes, you are write and this is where quantum computing comes in place as it can do calculation in just hours, which can take centuries for a few super computers.

I only know quantum computing is still in its early stages and it will be baseless to debate about a product which is not yet ready. IBM has been working on it and they have not yet confirmed when will it be ready.
4309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you have, which coin you do not have? on: January 13, 2021, 04:11:40 AM
I primarily have Bitcoin and a few altcoins. Most of these altcoins are actually I earn every month through different gigs. Therefore I do not hold any of those, I basically get them paid into my wallet every month and sell them as when I think the price is right..
4310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 12, 2021, 02:16:14 AM
^^ @Royse777 I told you so... Although it was bumpy ride and both teams gave it all. On 4th day I thought I was going to lose but damn Indian team pulled it off.

The experts here - what do you think of me and my relationship in India tour of Australia LOL
Not an expert  Grin

Sydney is batting track so I am expecting draw there and the last game at Gabba should go in favor of Australia as this is their stronghold.

Why does Australia continue to pin it's hopes on players like David Warner, out for a duck (or close to it) then he's hurt his arm/shoulder fielding a mediocre slow ball.

I picked up odds of ~3.4:1 for the third test ending in a draw.
Because their openers were struggling and they had to drop Burns from the team, Wade did okay as opener but he's also left arm batsman similar to David Warner so they moved him to down the order as Warner can't bat at middle order. Warner was their best option and solid opener when playing in Australia, that's why he was preferred although he was not 100% for the game, he was slow on the field too due to injury.

--snip--
They must be beating the shit out of Paine in the dressing room and rightly so..
Well a great performance by India today but I am sad about Jadeja. If Jadeja would have been fit India definitely would have looked for a win today. It was the fear of exposing the tail that stopped them to a draw because I think the number of runs Vihari and Ashwin did not run was enough to narrow down the gap to 40-50 runs. But Pant has muted his critics for quite some time and he definitely will be very much in the playing XI unless he isn't fit. But fitness is becoming a pretty big issue now. Jadeja is a pretty important trump card for India, especially with his bat. If India could still win the next match with more than half a dozen major players injured this series would be the ever best performance by India in Australia. Moreover, that tag of over-dependence on Kohli is also something India would get rid off.

I still do not know what went wrong in the last test but I was expecting a win when Panth was on the field. I thought that if he could have stayed a little longer, India could have win the match. I also did not expect a lot from the tail enders as Jadeja was not playing. Anyways next match is crucial now for both the teams.
4311  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: reliable exchanges ?.... on: January 12, 2021, 01:53:12 AM
Apart from Binance and the local exchange you are referring too you can also try Coinmama, they do allow to purchase Bitcoin from your country. I have not tried it personally but I have heard about them. You can also check for a Bitcoin ATM nearby, I am sure there should be a few in your country. Local Bitcoin is also good but you need to go through KYC.
4312  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful with this so called Integration Wallet website on: January 12, 2021, 01:43:24 AM
This is a sure short scam, I have no doubt about it. Many newbies will surely fall for it as what they are offering is very lucrative for those who want all their wallets in one screen. As we all use multiple wallets to store cryptocurrencies and entering the  Private key and going through different screens sometimes become a pain. They took this pain of ours for their benefits decided to create a scam website. Anyways it has been told here on BTT a lot of times to avoid web wallets and websites that ask for private keys or seed phrases. Thanks for updating the community with this post.
4313  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Rookie mistake today on: January 12, 2021, 01:26:55 AM
Think for the long term a year will be good if possible. Buy when you feel is the right time. At the moment it is still down by about 10k from its ATH. This is the right time to invest in different dips and then wait for another boom. Do not enter the market in one go do diversify your portfolio and always DYOR.
4314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you usually find a new investment oppertunities/projects? on: January 10, 2021, 07:23:13 AM
I am new to the crypto space and have missed out on many opportunities in DeFi. So how do you usually find a new project? From where? Thanks

I'm subscribed for:

- Bitcoin Forum > Alternate cryptocurrencies > Altcoin Discussion
- Bitcoin Forum > Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements (Altcoins) > Tokens (Altcoins)

&

Altcointalks.com

I hope that helps.

Well as @BigBoy89 mentioned the forum itself is the best place to know about a new project. The other best resource is to check for new projects on big exchanges like Binance and Kucoin. They have their own launch pad and as they are on big exchange most of the project do perform well when listed.
4315  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide]: How and Where to Report Phishing Websites on: January 10, 2021, 07:03:23 AM
This post is extremely helpful and informative.

I had actually no idea that you can use your web browser to report a phising website. I only knew that you need to go to Google or Bing to report them.

I am assuming using the browser reporting link these websites will get reported to all major search engines.

Thanks for sharing.
4316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people seem to value 1 full BTC? on: January 10, 2021, 06:31:56 AM
1BTC means increase in USD value by a minimum of 1k or more. This makes the profit bigger as compared to just a few dollars. Plus the advantage of being in 1 BTC club for the name sake. I personally do not believe in it as long as your are holding Bitcoin.
4317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Partnerships must not be taken slightly on: January 10, 2021, 01:16:01 AM
Partnership that helps the project is only meaningful. There have been projects in the past that did come up with a lot of partnerships but got tanked when they were listed on the exchange. This mean we should understand the core concept of the project and also analyze whether those partnerships will be helpful for the project or not. Do not rely on partnership completely when you are investing in any project.
4318  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] 10 fake wallets on Google Play - please report them on: January 10, 2021, 01:03:37 AM
Thanks for the update.

This is a big list of fake wallets on Google Play store. As a community we are trying our level best to get these wallets reported to Google. But, why are we not reporting these fake wallets to the real wallet developers? I mean we also need to inform the Exodus, Mycelium and MEW wallet team that scammers are using their brand name to scam newbies. They also have a big community they can also help us in reporting these fake wallets to Google.
4319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 09, 2021, 05:44:43 AM
Just unbelievable. When I made my previous post India were at 195/4. Now they are 214/8. Just shows how quickly the situation can change in cricket, even in the longer format. Ravindra Jadeja is still there, but on the other end we have Jasprit Bumrah, with Siraj to come. The immediate priority for India right now is to keep the Australian lead in two digits. For that, they need to score another 23 runs.

The lead is still 134 runs and if India is able to restrict the Aussies to 250 then there is a chance India might win the match. Australia has already lost 2 wickets and the bowlers are dominating the match let's see what Sir Jadeja does in this session.
4320  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: {Warning} Fake Gemini BTC Airdrop on: January 08, 2021, 09:47:33 AM
Amazing now they are using free blogging platform to scam people.  This is really hilarious, I am suprised to see  how much the desperate he or she is that they never though of buying a domain and a host. They might have lost a lot of money in their previous scamming venture.
