442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] BANKERA - the Bank for the Blockchain Era on: September 02, 2017, 07:52:37 AM
Any way to know how many BNK have been sold?

Is written:
1.805.957.785 BNK of 2.500.000.000 BNK distributed

on their web page.

It could be more. I doubt this is updated in real time due to
technical problems that they have.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] PROEMTHEUS: ◄► First Decentralized Email System ◄► on: September 01, 2017, 11:27:21 AM
there are many ICO projects, but few good projects.
the project seems to be of high quality,
 decentralization of mail service system,
and Shared cloud service projects,
which should be worth investing.

Hello.

Also a lot of projects try to do the same or similar things

https://cointelegraph.com/news/substratum-ico-promises-to-build-free-and-fair-internet

Could maybe the developer collaborate to achieve this goals together
instead making each their own platform / product?!

Also I have seen before that this crypto decentralization mania exploded
that already where existing systems to achieve this but question is why this projects did not take up
and are still used by small number of people.

Check here:
https://prism-break.org/en/all/

Social Networks
File sharing
Instant Messaging
Networking
Web Search
etc...

All exists for free and I'm wondering why new similar systems
are needed and we require to pay for them?!

Don't get me wrong I support  the idea of a decentralized email platform or any other platform that gives control
to users but I' wondering why things are done in this way of making separate platforms(products)
instead contributing or collaborating  to improve existing systems and to make them main stream.

444  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AML/KYC Explained on: August 31, 2017, 12:47:58 PM

Thanks for sharing,

But i think that Aml/Kyc it's just a formality & does Not protect anyone from being scammed. As you all must be knowing about MtGox, the biggest fraud done under Bitcoin World, and even it was complied with Aml/Kyc laws. But this Aml/Kyc does nothing other than shutting down the small Enterprises and other small minded Business who trying to survive here & there. Its just a LOOPHOLE to Escape.

Of course is LOOPHOLE.
This shit is made to control common working people not the
Elite so they can seize your hard earned money in case you rebel.

So what about Panama Papers?
It seem all legal Wink Nobody is mentioning anything like it never occurred.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain (FULL) on: August 31, 2017, 11:58:58 AM
Hello,

on 15 August I bought dimcoins from my official Nem mobile wallet, but till now I did not recieve dimcoins. Do I recieve the dimcoins in the mobile wallet or only in the desktopwallet?  Huh

You receive the mosaics on your address not on wallet.
Is written on blockchain
You can check here if you received dimcoin and dimtoken
by typing your account address.

http://explorer.ournem.com/#/

The mobile wallet has no support for mosaics yet
therefore you could maybe not see this in this wallet.

Use the latest NanoWallet for desktop. It has options to view and transfer mosaics (dimcoin, dimtoken etc...)

If you want switch from your mobile wallet to NanoWallet
export your private key from your phone write it down and save it into a secure place.
Don't loose it otherwise you are f***ed!! Wink

After installing NanoWallet use the option to create private key wallet
then insert your key that you have copied from your phone into NanoWallet.

You should see XEM and DIMCOINS in your account when you connect to a Node.

Read this, this can help you:

446  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AML/KYC Explained on: August 31, 2017, 07:59:38 AM

Chase is getting worse with cash deposits. They now request your ID when putting cash into your own account. It's a business account, businesses take cash for work. Oddly enough if I use the ATM and do a cash deposit no ID is required. Or a night deposit.  Go to a teller and they'll need an ID. I tried to ask why big brother was so bothersome, the last teller had no idea what I was referring to by big brother.

The ID is not required because
they have a camera there and they can send your picture to a service that can identify you from a image
if required. Wink

Also if you have some card or magnet key that you have to sweep over
some sensor to open the ATM box for depositing cash
then you are already identified.

You don't have to wary is all done for "your safety"  Cool
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 30, 2017, 10:16:21 PM
Hello

Does anybody know if cryptox
distributes black bytes upon request?!

Thanks.

as far as i know no exchange distributes gbyte, let alone blackbytes. blackbytes are tied to your personal wallet. they'd have to sync with a wallet you create to give it to you. no way they got the time for that.

cryptox distributes Gbytes for a fee if you hold there.
I think they take 5% for this.

I have shared my Nano wallet address with the team and i am still waiting my DIMCOINs. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for coins to arrive my wallet?

About 10 days.
Don't wary you will get them.

In the mean time don't forget to make the backup of your wallet and private key on a safe place.

450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: August 28, 2017, 01:52:16 PM
Ok, so Catapult is a new core architecture that will power the public (NEM) and private (Mijin) blockchains.
But I'm still having trouble understanding what that means at a deep level.
Basically what I want to know if Nem as in XEM, is still going to be the coins used. There's not going to be a new coin, like with NXT and ARDR.

There will be no new coin. We're gonna switch from nis1 -> catapult-based servers.

Can anyone explain me this "catapult-based servers"

In short words:
this is complete rewrite of the current NIS (Nem Infrastructure Server) that is written in java
into C++ code by keeping all the present features + adding extra features and API calls to the new server.
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NET] - The Browser Based Blockchain - Main net December - Liqui on: August 28, 2017, 12:45:14 PM
can somebody tell me the price in ico?
couldnt find it in first page.

I think it was 175 NET for 1 ETH.
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Centra Tech - Centra Card & Wallet App Official thread. on: August 26, 2017, 06:33:43 PM
where can we buy centra now? only etherdelta?

https://etherdelta.github.io/#CTR-ETH

All Centra supporters should buy from ICO. Selling & purchasing CTR tokens at EtherDelta will void your Centra card orders and blacklist you from Centra's system.

Do you guys see weird movements of price on blockfolio. Price is sources from etherdelta. I assume some funky transactions, but the coin does x4 time to time and then goes back to normal.

Where is the coin?!
You can not find this pair on etherdelta?!!  Huh

453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: August 24, 2017, 01:28:09 PM
...

They will do the same thing for cross chain transactions with other blockchains like BTC and ETC.

Thanks, your explanation helped me a lot to understand it better. So as you posted it is not NEM-exclusive. The approach can be implemented with any other blockchain in principle. Why is there then so much hope in Catapult if it could be used with other projects as well?

I've gotten another question what doesn't really depend on the first one. I run a little web service where registration is needed. Currently you need username / password combination. Pretty old school. I consider to implement a simplier login via NEM address but I have no idea how it could work without providing a private key. Any suggestions? I am not a developer but my friend is very capable, so he could implement the idea.

454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Ended]🌟🌟🌟🌟 NVO Decentralized Exchange | MultiWallet 🌟🌟🌟🌟 on: August 24, 2017, 08:14:54 AM

I think that current NVO holders are quite happy to pick them up at low prices. I will be buying a bunch this weekend, once my funds arrive.

Is possible to buy this within counterwallet?
Do we need to buy XCP first to be able to buy NVO or it can be done directly with BTC?
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RadixDLT (formerly eMunie) Discussion on: August 24, 2017, 07:55:32 AM
Status update:
First "live" product released utilizing the Radix protocol.
Not a beta, not a POC, not a trial version:  But a real working solution with a real company
https://twitter.com/radixdlt/status/900357606220251136

I'll give you a hint:
It's with one of these companies

More details to be released very soon.

Hello Peachy.

Thats  very good news.
Is there a public test version of the software already?
Will there be a public ICO in near future or what kind of distribution type is planed?

Also can you tell what are the technical requirements to run a node.

Thanks.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Ended]🌟🌟🌟🌟 NVO Decentralized Exchange | MultiWallet 🌟🌟🌟🌟 on: August 23, 2017, 08:49:35 AM

If it was just about paying to get listed, NVST would have already been listed in different exchanges. It is not about the fact of been listed, it is about the quality, the volume, the reputation, all these aspects have to be taken in count in order to provide the best access possible and a good protection agains manipulations. Even if exchanges like bittrex and poloniex doesn't really offers a protection against pump&dump, they are widely used which is a good counter weight.

Hello.

I have to inform you that this 2 are US based exchanges and they lately introduced some shitty
withdrawal policies and limits.
They also ask people to identify.

Also poloniex grew faster that it can sustain now i see lot of people complaining about their support.
They need weeks to solve simple problems and to answer to a submitted ticket.

DO not waste time with exchanges.
Is better that you focus your time and resources on the NVO development.

PEOPLE you loose control over your funds if you deposit on a centralized exchange.
They become owners of your BTC, LTC  ....
They can impose silly policies and block your withdrawals.

457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Ended]🌟🌟🌟🌟 NVO Decentralized Exchange | MultiWallet 🌟🌟🌟🌟 on: August 20, 2017, 05:45:59 PM

The exchanges are actually on a weired situation, most of them are aware of the SEC and the different US regulations, remember what recently happened to BTC-E, even if it haven't started from the SEC at least, they reached them outside borders.
I believe this is why Bitfinex is now refusing US customers. There are more regulations every day, different countries are trying or starting to regulate bitcoin and cryptocurrencies markets, this is a serious limitation for exchange listing. Even the ethereum tokens are under regulation threat.

Thats the reason why we need a decentralized exchanges.
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: August 17, 2017, 03:08:01 PM
I think private key wallet means you are importing private key. All wallets have a private key. Just create a regular new wallet and export the private key once created.
Mmm in that case it would work in a weird way: I selected "sign up" since I don't already have a wallet (there's log in as well) and it gives me 3 different wallets options: simple, brain and private key, and in order to create the private key wallet I need to complete the form before, including the private key field, which is blank  Huh

Use simple wallet if you don not have a wallet already.
This will create a wallet file on your computer with a new private key that will be secure by the password that you enter.
Do not enter passwords like "123" or "qwery" this is not safe because if someone gains access to your computer could
steal your wallet file and then brute force the password.

Once you have created the wallet you will be able to access the wallet by selecting the wallet from the list of wallets.
In case you purge your browser then you will have to import that wallet file with import wallet option and
then select from the list and use "sign in" and enter your password.
Do not forget your password or you wont be able to access your wallet neither your funds.
When you create the wallet make a backup of the wallet file and also of the private key.

The option brain wallet is to create wallets by using one single passphrase.
I would not suggest you to use that method i consider this insecure because a lot of people do not use strong passphrases.
So if you use somthing simple like "123" for your passphrasse remember that you will be hacked
becacuse "123" is everything that  you or anybody else needs to access your wallet.

If you really want to your a passphrase i suggest you use at least 50 + more characters letters upper lowercase and special character passphrase.

The private key option is used when you already have a NEM wallet private key.
that could be the private key from your NCC or Android or IOS wallet that you can export from there.

I hope you manage.
If not we are here to help you.
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: August 16, 2017, 07:34:43 PM

460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Idea for alt-coin/asset - How to find developers / help? on: August 12, 2017, 07:23:56 PM
I have been working through a concept for a new crypto-asset, but I am not personally capable of developing the code and block chain myself. How would I go about finding help to build out this project? Apologies for being vague, I don't want to bore anyone with the details until I figure out which forum is most appropriate for this type of discussion. Thanks for any help!

Maybe you don't need to develop anything.
Maybe you could just use an existing platform to issue your asset.
There are plenty of blockchain platforms that has this ability:

Some of them are: NEM(XEM) , NXT, wawes, ethereum, XCP (Counterparty)
