441  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY WORLDWIDE] #1 Bitmain Antminer U1 USB Erupter [ANN] on: December 11, 2013, 03:22:57 AM
Hi cxboyminer,

If I want to bulk buy these U1's, who do I order them from?  You or directly from Bitmain?

Thanks

Sorry for the late reply. Didn't see your post last time and was busy replying applicants on docs form. Hope you are not mad Sad
I'm not mad, just very frustrating getting answer from Bitmain and as for getting price for the U1's, well everyone knows... just 3 days... just another 3 days... just another week... and still no price.

If you can provide a good (decent, like bitterdog's) ebay / amazon selling record, then I can list you for bulk purchase. Filling in the form will get you a maximum of 60 usbs. As I said earlier on the announcement of this policy, bulk purchases have to pm me and fill in the form.
form filled... this is because haven't had reply from Bitmain and I don't want to miss out.
After successfully buying from you the first 60, can following orders be increased?

You can contact bitmain for bulk purchases if you want to. It's fine with me and will not get mad at you because you left my gb...
I will let you know if Bitmain does contact me and I leave the GB, but for now I will be dealing with you. At least we do get some communications from you

Thanks and apologies for 'dis' late reply.
No problem, just for minute there I though you ignoring me   Wink

if someone (or Orama) could please clarify how the re-seller portal works.

if you have sold 5 in the 'Neptune to previous customers first batch' and sold 5 in the 'Neptune' to everyone second batch, then is that considered 10 sold and you you get one free?

or do you have to sell all 10 in first batch or all 10 in second batch to qualify for a free Neptune?

443  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow announces 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.49/Ghash on: December 09, 2013, 05:02:34 PM
I have 2 orders choosing BTC payment and took some time to get BTC payment address, BTC price is all over the place (plus not enough BTC to make payment) and now want to change to bank transfer and haven't heard from the in nearly a week.  I also remember that orders are valid for 15 days which for me is 15th day today.  If they can't handle support I wonder how they're going to go with actual filling orders and shipping.

Are they going to be able to pull this off?

Are you referring to BTC payment through the reseller, minersource?

I had zero problems ordering from them last tuesday...

If your bitcoin payment didn't show up within 24 hours (and you still haven't sent it) I'm pretty sure your best bet is to just make a new order. *** Might also be good to tell them about your previous order which never got paid & ask if you can keep your place in line (probably not, I think this sort of thing is typically based on pay date instead of order number)

*** Exact quote on policy as stated in email I recieved during BTC payment process on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013

Quote from: Matt Carson <matt at symbol nospam antibot courtesy obfuscation minersource dot net>
In order to avoid any issues, please do not delay your payment for more than 24 hours. If you do delay and the BTC rate drops you will need to cover the difference. If the BTC rate raises after 24 hours and wish the total amount to be re-calculated you will need to cancel the order, lose your place in the queue and place a new order; however if you will not pay immediately you might end up in the same situation. We have this policy in place because recalculating invoices and tracing the BTC rates takes extra work and we wish to dedicate all our time to design our hardware, eliminate any inconveniences and delays.

No, I ordered through Black Arrow Software.
I'm pretty sure that you get placed in the cue after payment, so I'm not worried if I loose line place and accept placing of when payment is made.
But what I want to keep is the discount price, if I reorder now then I'll get new price without the same discount of when I ordered before.

If the replied emails or answered tickets and change my payment to bank transfer, I would paid already before the 15 day cancellation period expires.

thanks for the reply anyway kuzetsa,

PS. Black Arrow seriously need to hire someone for their support team.
Shit, they can afford to pay them in BTC as their mining farm is probably pulling close to 100 BTC a day. (as see in the pics posted previously)

I not sure if this where I should be posting this...

does ASICMiner/friedcat have any plans to produce another USB miner (gen 3).??

We really need ASICMiner to show the world how it's done.

just one more time at least, everyone's screaming for more USB miners.  And you'll make a pretty penny out of it guaranteed   Wink

No one knows for sure (except for FC or maybe board members)
But I think it's a rather safe bet to expect a new generation of USB miners to hit the shelves some time in March-May next year. From the estimated/simulated chip specs I expect them to achieve about 35 GH/s.
But keep in mind this is pure speculation based on vague announcements made by FC.

thanks for that little bit of hope, even it it's speculation.

any board members that read this... tell friedcat we need them yesterday...!

Cheers

I wonder if buyers are clicking on my reseller link or yours?  Grin  LOL

BTW, have you sold any/many?

You people are morons, this is what we in the financial industry call a "massive disaster." If I can't move my bitcoins to banks in China, I lose reputability, and the cascade of negative effects will put me out of business. This is the end of the bitcoin experiment as far as I'm concerned.  Time to start a firesale of my 2000 BTC, I'll be lucky if I get 100$ per.

BTC seems to be on the way up again.
anyway this volatile behavior is normal and healthy for innovation so young.
See video below. Some probably have seen it, but for the ones that haven't it's good great info.

Received my 4 Jupiter and 1 Saturn this morning.

So, so pleased.

Just about set them all up, just need to tidy everything up.

I can't find the IP for one of the Jupiters. The green light is showing, but cant pick anything up on my router. Any tips?

try these tips if you've haven't already:

switch off miner, wait 30 seconds or more and restart it.
reboot or power cycle your router.
try different network cable.

is the router showing LED on when network cable plugged in?

if you've got other devices connected to the router that aren't the miner's or your PC, then shut them down and try steps above again.

see what happens and post back results.

MEGA TIP: if all else fails, then try phoenix1969's voodoo dance trick  Grin joke  Cheesy

Ok, I placed an order with MinerSource for 2 X1's a couple of weeks ago, sent two emails since to the required address for payment details and still yet to Receive any info also Pm'd bobsag3 several times, was told in PM that it will be taken care of Post haste, never received any further information, all I have at the moment is the original email for the order with Matts email to send a request to for payment details. I give up on this waste of my time.

I haven't heard from anyone for a week now. Sad
Got 2 X3's @ $4,899.30
Now my order was screwed up and they both show @ 5,949.15 each with only $1,049.85 discount applied.
They already send me an invoice for 1st unit at correct price which was paid.
I just cant get the correct price and updated invoice on the 2nd unit.

Getting a little frustrated especially with all the BTC fluctuations lately on top of that.

I'm in the same boat, and starting to get frustrated myself especially because I'm in on this buy with 3 other friends.

ok also if have more than one miner

is better to put all the miner at same btc adress
or but for every miner different adress?Huh

Don't use a different address, but at the end of each address put an underscore and a unique name to set them apart. _jupiter1 _jupiter2

thanks for the info

using one address and the unique underscore name, does it still let you view each miner stats separately?

Yes, it overlays them one on top of each other upon the graph.

You get a different colour for each worker.

Cool, I must try this.
Thanks Orama

Miner in between 2 open windows + Open case + side fan.

I'm currently building this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_F83SbHMyg
So when it is ready I will have to move all the units to it and do something about the overheating board.

Hi CYPER,

very nice, what material are you planning to build them with?  Timber, MDF?

and also, what are you using to draw/design these 3D animated images?  Does the drawing package create the video?

I'd love to have a go at the drawing thingy you're using.  Very cool.

Thanks.

Should States Pay Attention to Bitcoin?

As the virtual currency climbs in popularity and value, state regulators would be wise to start figuring out a way to make it safe and user-friendly in their borders, experts say.
