Well, I just deposited namecoins from nmcbit.com to my namecoin deposit address on btc-e and after about 15 confirms, their still not there. So you're not alone.

So in other words, you're temporarily long and will sell into the next rally?

I see we haven't had the capitulation event yet. Guess I'll stay in cash on MtGox for now.

All this, and I didn't have to pay a single bounty!
Of course you didn't have to pay a bounty! Get people motivated about the coin and they'll contribute to it for free; premine it for all its worth and everyone will have their hand out.

Works, but I think you're overestimating my khash/sec by more than a factor of 2.

Isn't it strange how people will solomine bitcoins for a week and not be frustrated, but solomine LTC's for 10 minutes and you think something is wrong when they haven't found anything.

I'm not able to vote, seemingly because I'm a scammer. But put me on the second option if you're counting the votes up.
It looks like the voting is all tied-up. I won't intervene then. If BTC-E is going to come out with an exchange this weekend, then so be it. I will look forward to buying some LTC at a low price. What could you do to intervene if you wanted to?

Mining Litecoins!
|
|
|
hullo trying to mine the pool with minerd, args minerd.exe --algo scrypt --s 6 --threads 3 --url http://184.107.145.244:8332 --userpass WBbkIbhS8WadBGfXOAzfef6a9ea5_1:1 Getting HTTP 403 error then json_rpc_call failed. What am I doing wrong? Try taking the _ out of your username. e.g. --userpass WBbkIbhS8WadBGfXOAzfef6a9ea5_1:1 becomes --userpass WBbkIbhS8WadBGfXOAzfef6a9ea51:1 This really needs to be made more clear on the pool site.

Has anyone heard more about this? I've got the error now and I don't know if I'll be able to withdraw my Bitcoins in the time frame I'd like. So now, without this knowledge, do I trade or wait? Seems the smart thing to do is let people know to verify themselves BEFORE they want to withdraw their $'s or BTC's.

Define success
Also, I like Fairbrix on a conceptual level somewhat more than LTC due to lack of the (empirically unstudied) subsidy halving shenanigan.
You know, there already is a cryptothingie with that (fairly unconventional as far as majority of non-antique assets go) model, and it's called bitcoin.
You know you've been mining Litecoin like a fiend.

Please restart your miners; DNS changed again and some miners don't resolve them once again during operation.
Seems to have solved it. Excellent work as always.

My miner keeps disconnecting slowing me down. Hope it get sorted soon. That's what mine is doing.

Slush. Username michaelmclees. I'm using a different IP to mine now than what you probably have on record. Anyway it whitelist the new one?

Lastly, sometime after the launch, I will check in the code with the geneis block AND a new block hash lock. This is another step to prevent a 51% attack. If you don't want your mined coins to be stolen by a 51% attack, please download that new code (or binary) and run it. I will post about that when I have it checked in.
What do you mean by "sometime" after the launch? Minutes? Hours? What will happen between you change the code and we download it, compile it, and run it? Will the old one we will be running useless at all? The old one will work just fine, but downloading the new one may prevent your blocks from being orphaned by a 51% attacker.

I find it funny that less than a day now separates "early adopters" from "late adopters" in many people's eyes.
In this world, it is far earlier than you think.

I'm considering opening my pool tonight so you can connect now, and then when the info is released for the main, I can make the switch and all the miners will update automatically.
On the flip side of the coin, doing so I am afraid will make the first blocks a cluster fuck of orphans and everyone will get pissed off.
Thoughts are more than welcome. My original thoughts were to wait until a couple of difficulty changes. Being as the time switch for most of us will be while we normally sleep, I thought one person awake might be better than all of us.
Oh, and if anyone wants some testnet coins, give me an address and I'll send you 10,000.
I'm inclined to ask you to wait for a day or so so we can get an established chain going. Difficulty initially will be low enough that no one would benefit from using a pool anyway. This hopefully will change quickly. That's already the plan. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't needed/wanted because of the time of the switch over. I have not released the address to the pool so even though I'll have my miners pointed at it, no one else will be able to use it yet. I think that is for the best. Others may disagree.
