441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maths question on: July 21, 2014, 02:58:00 PM
using your numbers of 2% growth a month.. ...... easy maths suggests less then 118 months (10 years) based on your numbers.. but trust me, it will be sooner than that.

Why will be it sooner? 2% growth a month, and you will check value of currency at all time.

I think I read something related to this before and people were estimating between 3-6 years.
442  Other / Meta / Re: Little help with an abusive member: Vod - Self Proclaimed forum admin on: July 21, 2014, 02:50:19 PM
I'm curious too why Vod is not responding to Evershawn's question as to what exactly he deleted to earn a negative trust from him. I've read though both of the threads here and I see nothing in response to that or any evidence that it took place. I would think if this guy Vod is doing all of this to the guy for that reason, it would be the first thing he is willing to respond to...

Gonna have to go with Evershawn here if I was just going off of what I see posted in both threads. My advice to Evershawn would be to tone it down a little though. The more anger you display, the more he technically wins.

Seems to me like both parties in this case should resolve this via PM and take it off of the forum. Probably more of a misunderstanding that got blown out of proportion.

Vod probably has had enough of the attention from all the members he has given negative trust hes given so many and if he made a big deal out of all of them then he wouldn't be doing his job over at the lending section. Vod is trustworthy in my eyes and has been a great help to avoid scams along with is partner in scam removal tomatocage.
443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pick up your pickaxes and headlamps: here’s how Bitcoin mining works on: July 21, 2014, 02:47:31 PM
after further reading I Found the article easy to follow but it wasn't as informative as some of the articles I have read it added something else which I can't quite put my finger on. It was fun to read and think this article would be a good read for any newbie who is looking to get into Bitcoin mining.
444  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your favourite adventure activity? on: July 21, 2014, 02:43:02 PM
Hiking is a excellent adventure especially out in the wilds where the fear of getting lost is close.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is My Rig good for Mining? on: July 21, 2014, 02:42:00 PM
I have an AMD card, pretty modern but pretty useless nowadays. the mining dream is over  Cry

Unless you have money to invest in mining rigs for example ASICS were the craze. But if you haven't got money to invest then yes the dream is over.

Even if you have the money to invest in ASIC, it is hard to get your investment back, considering the rapid uprising difficulty.

That's true. But, if you have enough money to invest and the knowledge to invest that to make a profit then you it can be done. It's hard because of the ever rising difficulty but still if you can purchase a preowned ASIC for a cheap price then you may be able to breakeven pretty soon and profit before the difficulty goes up.
446  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discussion about post quality for PRIMEDICE signature campaign. on: July 21, 2014, 02:39:54 PM
He's well aware of how much the advertising campaign costs which is also probably why he placed on limit on the maximum number of posts. Cost/benefit analysis.

The advertising from the sigs is obviously paying off to a certain point.

With the new primedice coming out he's going to be paying per activity. Maybe, more reduced rates after he realized he paid 30 Bitcoin in one month. $15k for a advertising campaign is a lot of money for anyone. Although, he's probably getting the majority of it back as primedice is among one of the most popular gambling sites amongst BItcoiners.
447  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-e is not processing BTC withdrawals since yesterday on: July 21, 2014, 02:36:14 PM
did the problem effect everyone or just some people ? did btce say what the issue was ?
twitter is blocked from my work, and so is ssh  tunnel hah so i cant read anything now except the forums.

It's affected everyone and was related to a server failure I think. A lot of people are now claiming they have lost Bitcoin.
448  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How easy was it to buy Bitcoin back in 2011? on: July 21, 2014, 02:34:23 PM
I'm pretty sure early 2011 you could still purchase Bitcoin with paypal because there wasn't many people aware with the chargeback issue.
449  Economy / Services / Re: Need craigslist poster(s) on: July 21, 2014, 02:33:19 PM
Indeed, careful what you get into, if you can post 50 ads a day in the for sale section you might get into that. Am still looking for serious posters that actually want to do this for the stated amount, am willing to go up on price just as long as i find someone serious. Once again, I am looking for someone that can post on CRAIGSLIST:
50 ads a day
section is for sale
am paying 0.0014 per post, willing to go up to 0.019 if you can show me that you can post
i will provide ads, as many as you need so you don't come back crying it doesn't stick
For the ones that want to ask me why I don't do it myself: Please FO, am not here to answer ANY kind of question, I will provide what you need and will help you with your work and will always pay on a daily basis.
Don't need no advices, am only looking for persons  that have the time and are willing to work for that money.
Interested posters, please pm what you can do, what you are afraid of, what you would need to make this work but please, only do it if you are actually interested doing it. Am willing to pay 50$+ per day for your work, if you can work for 100$ that's what I will pay for, I really thought this would be easier, am now thinking it would be simpler if i would post this in the gigs section on CL itself ...

I will *totally* do this for 0.019 BTC per post...

...though I'm not sure that's what you meant, is it?

Seems that he is paying per advert. but only to a total of 0.019.
450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Begining of the END for BTC. Bitcoin is becoming ultra regulated currency on: July 21, 2014, 02:31:03 PM
I don't know what to think now. It seems most countries have regulated Bitcoin in some way and people are reacting badly to it. We all knew this was going to happen sooner rather than later.
451  Other / Off-topic / Re: 69.6969 BTC Loan on: July 21, 2014, 02:29:38 PM
Thought it was real for a second. That would have been the funniest thing if some rich guy send that for fun.

Well there are people who just send about 800 BTC to freaking Mark Karpeles magic mountain company whilst it is already in midst of bankruptcy! I'm still amazed that that guy got his BTC back!

Did he get it back? oh damm I never thought he would of. Although, he should really take that as a wake up call and shouldn't make silly mistakes again.
452  Other / Off-topic / Re: What System You Use on: July 21, 2014, 02:05:08 PM

Pick up your pickaxes and headlamps: here’s how Bitcoin mining works

Nice little title and I had a little scan of the guide and will read it a little later. Seems like a nice guide for anyone interested in the blockchain and mining.
455  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 21, 2014, 01:25:59 PM
I have one question I would like to ask. Because I was on the list and got auto enrolled I can't remember my original post count? do I need this at the end of the month or is stunna going to change it so you don't need to input your post count when you signed up?
456  Other / Off-topic / Re: What System You Use on: July 21, 2014, 01:24:31 PM
I am surprised how many people still use XP.  I have windows 7 and 8.

I am guessing a lot of these people who have XP have more than 4GB of ram installed on their machines as well.  The limit for Ram on XP is 4GB, so anything you have purchased that is useless.  That is unless of course you have a 64x edition of XP, which most people do not.

XP is old and slow...time to upgrade....Windows 7 or 8 are where its at....pretty much the same OS

One of the reasons its on my old computer which is exactly 4GB of ram. although, I do run no newer versions of windows. Only Linux.
457  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips so you don't get your coins stolen. on: July 21, 2014, 01:21:29 PM
1.Disable Flash on everything but youtube(or anything you deem safe)
2. Disable or delete Java.
3. Don't download cracked programs OR download only those older than 2012 or older.
4. Don't store your wallet on Dropbox.

Follow above steps, and you don't even need to run an anti-virus, which is btw, recommended. You can thank me when your 1btc you kept safe is worth $100k.

Basic steps but something which not a lot of people listen too.

459  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Lloyds Bank Account Forcibly Closed on: July 21, 2014, 01:19:25 PM
ShakyhandsBTCer, Baitty,  If you have something to add, please read at least the first page: the accounts were not overdrawn.
It was certainly bitcoins that upset them.  What drew attention to the account was many small deposits and larger overseas payments.

I have now shut down my Lloyds trading account they dont want it and it seems dangerous to keep it open longer.

I have approached every other High Street bank and asked if I can open a Business account and told them that the business involves Bitcoins. The answer has been in all cases, a rapid, "No You can't".
Even a few unusual banks like Bank of Cyprus and Bank of China, (Yes, they are Uk high street banks as well.)

I believe now that the current situation is that if you run a business that involves bitcoins you cannot be upfront about this with your bank or they will shut you down. They will most likely do that anyway once they discover.

That's bad news. So the only safe way of trading Bitcoin in the UK is through cash and locally? otherwise you risk losing your bank if you use any of the UK banks.
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you like and dont like from the bitcoin regulation draft? on: July 21, 2014, 01:16:27 PM
