441  Other / Meta / Re: How to stop FUD campaigns with bought accounts? on: July 13, 2014, 12:01:07 PM
Registering fake accounts to spread lies and offtopic nonsense has absolutely nothing todo with free speech.

Btw. that this comes from someone who has sold his account to Bytecoin...

You must be mentally challenged (I don't use that lightly. I try to sway away from it), or you're too good at sarcasm. I'm going to go with the latter.

If these accounts get deleted in time, these attacks would stop.

Simple as that. It's just needs a stuff member to click on the "Delete Account" button.
Dont act like this would be impossible, it's possible on any other forum in this universe.

It's useless. People can still get on, anyway. What's really the point? If they want to spread FUD, they're going to do it. If you're not stupid enough to listen, don't even try to tell anyone else not to. It's like loaning someone fifty grand, and they only have a penny to their name.
442  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Phinnaeus Gage aka ~Bruno Kucinskas where are you? on: July 13, 2014, 11:58:07 AM
I'm half and half on this, but why would you ask where he is if... I dunno. He has the most posts on this forum? I'm sort of confused. Plus, he lives in Sandwich, IL. I know. I've been there.  Roll Eyes
443  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stay away from Mr_Ricardo on: July 12, 2014, 02:03:56 AM
he sent you a PM threatening to rape you ?
that is a new one :/

Well, the Ricardio from Adventure Time wanted to rape Princess Bubblegum's heart. So... Yeah. Having the name, 'Mr. Ricardio' should produce some flags.

End of huge nerd moment.

----

I don't think anyone has received rape threats on this site, just blindly like that? Holy crap. I'm not even sure if I want to put that guy on my 'ignore' list.
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Talked someone into bitcoin only to bail because his bank saying its a scam on: July 12, 2014, 12:10:11 AM
i've only spoken to a few people irl about bitcoin. my family and friends generally see it as some kind of pyramid scheme or scam. however, i did meet one older man who was a libertarian and very interested in bitcoin, but he would not invest because he believed governments worldwide would ban it, and they would become worthless.

if i do talk to someone about bitcoin, i just give them a quick explanation and suggest they research it on their own and form their opinion. if they think its a scam, so be it.

You deserve a 'bing'. Told my family about it, also, they also seem to think it's a scam, calling it 'drug money'. I've just stopped trying to say otherwise completely, since everyone has opinions. But, meh.
445  Other / Meta / Re: Please ban scammer : lightninqasic on: July 10, 2014, 11:42:50 PM
Hope nobody got tricked by this.
How about a similarity filter or flagging system when one registers a new account.
That should avoid, or at least limit such scenarios.

That would surely be hard to enforce, or even filter. What if the name was, 'lightingasic', user was of a different language, and has never met the guy? People should just use common sense, and actually look at names.
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very severe blow to bitcoin on: July 10, 2014, 11:22:04 PM
How does The Bitcoin Foundation even affect Bitcoin? Answer: It doesn't. That's like saying a small retailer stops accepting Bitcoin. Big woop. Only TBF is going down. About time people realize that they own nothing. No power.
447  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Looking for 5BTC loan until Aug 1st on: July 10, 2014, 11:20:07 PM
Why can't you just post your collateral? Is it really that bad, or are you giving the Holy Grail for collateral?
448  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a 0.025 loan - Will pay 0.040 in 5 days on: July 07, 2014, 08:57:36 PM
Wait, I'm confused. You own a gambling site, but asking for a loan since withdraws take too long? What the hell is going on with the money people are losing?

Oh, never mind. You're one of those random newbies that most likely turn into known and untrusted (Ha!) scammers.
449  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [Selling] Senior Member Account on: July 03, 2014, 10:46:56 PM
I can help you with Escrow if you don't mind, I know I'm new, but I appreciate your hand of help if you don't mind.

Please trust this Newbie to escrow.

Anyway, with the recent hackings going on, this might be a bit risky. Plus it is overpriced, not really into this market, but usually Hero accounts sell at that mark.
450  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 1-2 BTC loan on: July 03, 2014, 08:32:21 PM
Hello

I'm new to this site and also to the loan section and so this might seem and sound like a noob.
I've tried to buy some btc via neteller but I havent found any1 yet accepting this is why im posting here.

I'm looking to loan 1-2 btc for some investments and can send you the costs via neteller as collateral?
This can/will be done fully escrow offcourse.
I will be paying back in maximum 1 month. (we can negotiate the %)

I'm not quite sure if everything is correct, or if I need to add things please post it.
If you, or anybody you know that can mean something to me, please pm me or hook me up!

thanks in advance

Why not post in the currency exchange section and ask someone to swap with you? Why a loan?

Most loans don't make any sense in this section anymore. We might as well give people loans to shave their pubes.

Anyway, I didn't see anything about collateral?

What if they are already gone? Does that mean no loan  Huh

Okay, next loan idea: Loan people your pubes. Bam!
451  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Poll] Which team will win the World Cup 2014? on: July 03, 2014, 08:29:36 PM
Brasil, Germany, or Colombia. I don't think France has a chance. But, you know, anything happens. It's like when U.S got the goal against Uganda in the first minute. Anythings possible.
452  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you really earn more money because you went to college? on: July 03, 2014, 08:25:51 PM
I'm going to a University, and I already know most of the time that diploma means SHIT. Some people aren't even going to go in the field they studied for, or, they're looking for jobs in the wrong places. Going to college means shit. It doesn't guarantee a good path, meaning, some people won't earn more money.

Willing to knock the price down to $12.

Sorry Sir, but I didn't see anything about collateral in the post? I must be going blind...
456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Egg accepting BTC? on: July 01, 2014, 06:38:16 PM
Holy cow. I thought it would be a bit longer before they implemented it - guess Overstock accepting it was a big turning point for them. Well it's nice to see more major retailers takig Bitcoin seriously, the more merchants there are the more consumers will be interested in it and possibly begin using it.

I think it was more of TigerDirect accepting it.
457  Other / New forum software / Re: Downvote / Dislike button on: July 01, 2014, 06:28:57 PM
Why would this be useful? Really? Unless someone is so arrogant that they need to make sure people dislike a post that they don't like.

Why not have it where the user can decide what rank threads should be ignored by.

For example:

Ignore threads/posts if 10 Full Members, Members, Hero Members, etc rate the thread/post negative.

What a smart fucking idea. That definitely would NEVER be abused. Silly ol' me.
458  Other / Meta / Re: Racism and Violence Completely Ignored by Moderator on General Discussion Board on: July 01, 2014, 06:22:52 PM
Even if it's barbaric, it's not illegal and you can't be banned for it. Just click the 'ignore' button, or, go to Zoklet and see how bad it is over there.
459  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] Hulu Plus 12 Month/1 Year eGift Subscription | $12.00 on: July 01, 2014, 06:18:25 PM
Selling a legitimately attained Hulu Plus 12 Month or 1 Year gift card.

Looking for a price of $24.00, but willing to go a few dollars lower. This is a good deal, since it normally sells for $95+ via the Hulu website.

Willing to Escrow, or go first if you're a trusted member. The code is working, never been shown to anyone, and isn't stolen or hacked. If you use the code, you shouldn't run into any problems but I guarantee you won't get a suspended account.

EDIT:

Looking for $12 for the code, now.
460  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why lend? on: July 01, 2014, 02:50:35 PM
Some people loan because they charge interest. It's a good way to grow your Bitcoins without trading, and you get a good guarantee if you carry out a traditional loan (Collateral +/- Loan) that you'll get money back. I don't see why would should give a damn about if Jonny Fisher makes 2x the loan. It's really not your right to change the agreement because of it, or even dabble on the fact he made way more. And you should understand what a loan is before lending money to people, anyway.

Collateral +/- Loan can stop scammers, and, possibly only giving no collateral loans to highly trusted people.

What do you mean by 'no one knows how to collect'?

A investment is riskier than a loan, to be honest.
