It's unfair that there is no AMD miner.

there is no nvidia miner as well.

My main concern is that the PoW period is too short and the emission is too big for the initial launch days.

If another coin offers similar feature, but with much longer PoW period (ideally no PoS), such as 10 year half life. I might join.

Why does it matter POW is long since over, so matters not. The coin is well distributed and has a solid dev working.

also noticed that it seems to come in at full power then dissapear for a few min allowing the difficulty to drop. could be a gpu miner in the testing stages....

That's within diff/hash fluctuations, as we've seen before. Let's attention how the network hash rate changes.

the amount that comes and goes jumps the hash rate from about 55,600Khs to 78,000khs, thats a massive jump.... so botnet or gpu miner is really the only option

I'll need you all keep me posted your suspections in the next 1-2 days.

i will when i get the chance to monitor it, down to 36,000khs now........ sudden drops

then back to 49,000.....

now at 57,000 again.....

Which pool? Where you guys noticing this?

getmininginfo, was "netmhashps" : 93.59520242 @ block 1037

well someone has something working, the massive hash rate jumps can only be explained by 2 reasons. if its gpu what exactly will the dev do?

Say 0.05 Mhps per cpu, 100Mhs/0.05 = 2,000 cpu might be realistic. The two pools we have account for 45 Mhps seems matching. Considering 78Mhps, there might be a miner with 30M hps doing sole mining, but as we know sole mining is unprofitable. When did the Mhps miners show up in xmg.suprnova.cc?

We may record the highest network hash rate; if it goes too high, then we have to worry about GPU. We are still in the low block-reward zone though, still safe to us.

care the explain the hash rate drops from 55k down to 38k then?
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: video card to mine on: September 18, 2014, 03:11:34 AM
Yes I would also recommend the R9 280x. Try to get one from Gigabyte if you know how to undervolt via BIOS. If not choose one which isnt voltage locked.

dont touch gigabyte 280x's... voltage locked all of them and they have crappy memory elpidha not hynix or samsung.

best ones for mining are asus DCT2 280x's, voltage is not locked and is very overclockable to high standards to achieve much higher hash rates, and MSI 280x's are good as well althou voltage locked. the msi cards use both hynix and samgung memory which are alot better for mineing and gameing.

from where comes 100MH/s!

Maybe from claymore's GPU miner! Grin

very possible. given that his miner's generally only work on p2p based pools that way he can get his 5% cut, so he is connecting solo or testing a pool version... its a possibilty considering he mentioned that he was already working on it

from where comes 100MH/s!

makes you wonder....... some insane speed miners out there with this coin and algo..... wonder if claymore got his gpu miner for this version of M7 working already....

Just started hashing. Using a i7 4770k and getting about 4.9  khash/s per core. So around 39 khash/s total. Does that sound right to you guys?

That is low. you should be getting double that.

Any idea where I am doing something wrong? bat:

minerd.exe -a m7mhash -o stratum+tcp://xmg.suprnova.cc:7127 -u worker -p password -t 8

Also, I dropped the thread down to 7 and got 39 khash/s with an average of 5.5 khash/s per core. Interesting...

What if you set a lower number of cores, try to compare with -t 6, -t 4

I got an impression, AMD has a higher hash than intel?

6 threads gives me 36 khash/s
4 threads gives me 30 khash/s

Anyone else with a Haswell i7 want to share? Perhaps the miner is not optimized for my cpu. BTW I have a 2nd computer with same 4770k in it and same results.

4770k -t 7 77khs
I7 2600 non K -t 7 65khs
I5 3570k -t 3 44.90 khs
I5 2500 non k -t 3 40khs
I7 2600m -t 7 36khs
I7 4900M -t7 44khs.

hopefully that gives you guys a rough idea as to what cpus should preform at, all useing windows 8.1 btw.

can someone please share a complied copy of the new pool miner?
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BSTY] * DIGITAL MONEY * YESCRYPT GLOBALBOOST-Y * CPU MINING on: September 16, 2014, 11:42:55 AM
a 6 years old i5 runs almost as fast as a new fx.
surely there is room for improvement on amd cpus.

I noticed minerd wasn't that awesome for AMD CPU's.  My Phenom X3 (Unlock 4th core) doesn't do that well.

Not trying to hate on amd, but thier cpus are kinda crap compared to intel speeds and standards.

looks like claymore is working on a gpu miner for XMG and might be releaseing in a few days.

Hi claymore, will it work with the new m7m will you make with work ? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.0

Thanks

i wouldnt bother, they will change the algo slightly to make it gpu resistant again......... they did it once already
