441  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sports - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: May 22, 2021, 05:30:59 PM
does the monthly bonus is based on how much you gambled during the previous month? Im just thinking if its worth the hassle to reach platinum rank.

Monthly bonuses are based on VIP rank + wager amount counting from the previous month's bonus till the current month. To get the most out of the monthly bonuses, what you can do is to wager a tangible amount. From the reports of other platinum users that I've seen, it's even more rewarding to be a platinum ranked user since it also comes with other benefits. That said, you should give it a shot first and see how it goes.
Just got an email from Stake with the announcement of 2 new brand ambassadors; Alexa Grasso and Marlon Vera, both UFC stars have joined Stake.
These names don't really ring a bell with me but I also only follow UFC from time to time.

I didn't get the mail - not sure why. With the new partnerships and promotions, I'm sure stake team is onto something. For anyone (like me) who missed the release, here you go: https://stake.com/marlon-vera
Don't forget the page of Alexa Grasso https://stake.com/alexa-grasso that's a really good move to have chosen a woman as ambassador in this kind of sport I think, moreover she looks very pretty, she could be an octagon girl IMO. It seems that no fights are currently scheduled for her and for Marlon Vera as for now but I hope there will be some promotions for their next fights.

During times of gender equality and girl's power is absolutely right to pick one of the most talented female mixed martial artist available in UFC. Great move by Stake again which is targeting the most successful players around. Grasso needs more games to be considered like a champion but she's going in the right direction and her boxing is superb (technically speaking better than most men).
442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 22, 2021, 05:24:04 PM
Serie A last round will see a big fight among Juve, Milan and Napoli that want to earn the last two slots available for Champions League!
Milan has the most difficult game with Atalanta but I think rossoneri will prevail while I've no doubts that Juve and Napoli will win their respective games with two teams that aren't asking anything much from this Serie A.

I don't want to undergo Know Your Customer procedures on gambling site for a whole lotta reasons. I don't want my data to be seen by some strange off-shore companies. I loved the early days of bitcoin when all gambling sites were accepting it no questions asked, directbet was my fav.

One last hint from my side.
Try opening a bitcoin price chart and put it on log view (logarithmic), you'll be astonished by the fact that long term speaking the bitcoin rising trend is intact and going in line with previous waves. What does it mean for you? If you're here for the future then don't panic.
445  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ BTCGOSU ⭐ Your Trusted Guide to the Best Bitcoin Casinos ⭐ on: May 21, 2021, 08:22:34 AM
We have a GOSU poker game going this weekend - I will prepare a more professional post and share it on the website as well as on telegram shortly. You guys spread the word and tell your friends! Wink
I will but I'm not going to be able to play.
I'm preparing for a project here on the forum that I will be running soon and therefore I haven't got time to other stuff (life outside, work, family and such is quite demanding as you may know!)
446  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 21, 2021, 08:18:20 AM
My greatest buy today since a while, I know I shouldn't say this but I'm so proud of myself. I was able to reduce a bit of spending in the last two months and my monthly buy was the biggest and the largest (in btc terms of course ).
447  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid virus 2021 on: May 21, 2021, 08:16:04 AM

Quote
If everyone was following the safety protocols, then the pandemic could have been really under control by now. But all it takes is 1% or 2% of the population who behave irresponsibly to spread the virus. And they cause danger for the remaining 98%-99% as well. Here in India, there was an incident where a COVID 19 positive person (Wangkhem Rabina) travelled in flight by producing a fake COVID test report. And even after she was caught, there was nothing the authorities could do. They had to let her go after making her pay a fine of $25.

Is it real. I don't want to believe that such a thing is real. The penalty shouldn't have been just $ 25. I really started to believe that there will be more of these virus outbreaks in the coming years.
That's so terribly wrong! Then everyone will just be faking Covid-19 report or even the upcoming digital pass.
This whole pandemic's hit us all very bad and we can't see the light at the end of tunnel yet. Watching what's happening in India from a distance hurts a lot. Really hope that this will improve soon.
448  Economy / Speculation / Re: A moment of silence please. on: May 21, 2021, 08:13:00 AM
Bitcoin is always bitcoin, it's very unpredictable, now, in just a span of one day, who would have thought that we are going down below $30k.

As of this writing, the price is $33k.. and more dump to come.

Would you still hold or can you still hold guys?
I've been holding since 2014 and do you think this small market turmoil can shake my real bitcoin confidence which has been built over these many years?
Holding means peace of mind if you time preference is the right one and you aren't here for a quick buck!
449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: May 21, 2021, 07:49:18 AM
Realistically speaking, until the Islamic customs will be so present and lived in the Emirates no one will ever challenge the law. Let's not be stupid though because we all know that even if it's forbidden to gamble, people will surely find ways to gamble online. I'm sure there are plenty of crypto gamblers in Dubai.
450  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-05-12 CoinDesk - MoneyGram to Allow Bitcoin Buying and Selling on: May 21, 2021, 07:40:58 AM
The fees! OMG the fees! I can imagine already that this service is not gonna be active long; it can well functions for those who want to change some of their cash into btc but at a very big cost. MoneyGram and its partner will take 4% of customers’ transactions plus $2.75 in fees while Walmart-based MoneyGram locations will charge $2 more.
451  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Taproot proposal on: May 21, 2021, 07:36:32 AM
Is this just a simple problem with not fully upgrading all their servers/nodes, or something else? T
Most probably yes.
Some mining pools seem to be slow at rolling out the upgrade to all their servers and end up only updating one at a time which is why the numbers are lower than 100%.
It seems like we could get locked_in after the next difficulty adjustment though.
Not every pool is like SlushPool Smiley However, it could well be that if it's not the actual next period maybe it could be the next one.
From the data available, it doesn't look like miners will not follow and I'm pretty confident we'll have it updated soon. I want to see it in action, as theory-wise is still so foggy to me.
452  Economy / Speculation / Re: About time it crashed on: May 20, 2021, 09:15:41 AM
I dont get you guys, fundamentals havent changed, the dip is normal like it always have been.
BTC and Crypto will stay and rise and i am glad these puppets of Elon have been burned
For those who have been here since a long time I guess it's nothing new. We saw dips worst than these and it was about time that the tree got shacking to remove the fruits which aren't good.
I keep repeating myself, this market is susceptible to all sort of crap and those who want to stay here over the long run must be prepared.
453  Economy / Speculation / Re: Angry on: May 20, 2021, 09:13:05 AM
I am angry rn I knew I should execute all my crypto yesterday when China anounced ban.
Now all my crypto 30% down.  and it will take 3 years to recover.
You guys are so new here, I should very sorry for you but I can't.
I've seen this many times in the past when people where rage-quitting bitcoin when it dropped from the top anytime that happened.
Welcome to the club, try to understand why you bought in the first place, or else you shouldn't have been here at all.
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: May 20, 2021, 09:10:23 AM
Albania is not a Muslim country, it is a secular country. 50% percent of practitioners in a specific country do not automatically make that country follow the rules of that religion. Morocco, yes, there you are right, it is not a secular state, and the fact that they allow gambling is in fact remarkable. However, one swallow does not make a summer, and something being allowed in one place will not make for a simple change in another.

The point OP wanted to make was probably like this - there are Muslim countries where gambling is allowed. No one will say that Morocco is not a Muslim country, just because they allow gambling. So that means that it is possible for Muslim countries to allow gambling in their territory. Personally, I believe that religion needs to change with changing times. There is no point in sticking to ancient customs and rituals when the world is changing.

What is written in the bible or their book cannot be changed, that is the words of God and God doesn't change his words, so it's impossible it will change. it's not like the law of man where has to change or revise overtime as it could not be useful anymore.
What I know is that the majority of Muslim countries strictly prohibit gambling and will be punished if caught because the law is in the Koran which will always be applied because of faith.
and if gambling is allowed in Dubai in my opinion it is very wrong and impossible because Dubai is a really devout Muslim country.
Like for all the Emirates, you won't find Casinos like there are in other parts of the world because of what you mentioned.
This doesn't prevent people from Dubai to gamble on foreign-based online platforms: that's inevitable and happens everywhere in countries where gambling is not allowed.
455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 20, 2021, 08:54:48 AM
I don't think Tuchel should focus on the Champions League final only; what if they lose and what if the get left behind the last Champions' slot in Premier League? I would be asking my team to spit blood both during CL and EPL. It's the last sprint that could make a killing? Can't waste them both
456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 20, 2021, 08:51:47 AM
Okay. So there is a new coach for Werder Bremen, Thomas Schaaf. For the last straw. At least one game but maybe three games will decided if Bremen will stay in the upper house or if they will relegate.

A very tough work is waiting for him right now. If he manages to motivate the players and Bremen gets a win against Gladbach, he will do a great job right from the start. But of course, he won't be guilty if the team still relegate from the Bundesliga.

The club's decision to change the coach comes too late. The club is playing for its existence. Bremen has racked up debts of over 50 million euros in the last two years. The equity capital of 10 million is shrinking like ice in the sun. If Bremen were to be relegated, they probably wouldn't get a license in the second league. The only hope is a 30 million fan bond at an interest rate of 7%. In principle, however, the interest rate means that it is unlikely that the bond can be repaid.

Yet another giant falling down: who would have imagined Werder Bremen and Schalke 04 in their current positions at the beginning of Bundesliga? I wouldn't have paid a satoshi, not for a single team of those two possibly being relegated.
Nothing is forever, big teams can come and go. Werder could still make it and save the season but as you guys pointed out financially speaking is all a big mess.
457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 20, 2021, 08:47:47 AM
One last very important match for Atlético Madrid against Valladolid; at the same time, given that Real Madrid is only two points away (with 3 points available) their game with Villareal is gonna be super important too.
It's very tricky being playing for the title during the last game, as it's happened many times that the leading team got overtaken by a follower.
IMO the colchoneros could make it but Real is there, just waiting on the other side.
Maybe, both teams win 2-1
458  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-03-24] Elon Musk - now you can buy a Tesla for bitcoin on: May 18, 2021, 08:15:46 PM
I think it this way, if people have not understood why all this energy is being used to secure the MOST secure decentralized network and, most of all, if they have not recognized what it means owning bitcoin during this difficult times, I am sorry but they can forget about bitcoin., no prob.
Good for us, there will be more satoshis for real bitcoiners.
Amen brother, amen!
I've a similar way since I first discovered bitcoin back in the old days: I was asking myself, why wasting all this energy to mine invisible non-shiny coins? When digging deeper to discover the real value which stands besides the bitcoin protocol all the puzzles' pieces unfolded right before my eyes.
Bitcoin, in a nutshell, creates this virtuous cycle where everything works as intended.
A work of art, the art of a genius named Satoshi Nakamoto.

460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you limit your gambling time? on: May 18, 2021, 07:56:55 PM
when it comes to the long term unless we are incredibly lucky or we play a game of skill then it is almost impossible to beat the casino, and that is fine because that is something that we should have known from the very beginning and the one that does not is an irresponsible gambler.
But my question is, why you should gamble even after well aware of what is going to happen in the end? Do not answer like for entertainment purposes, because I am having 100s of other methods to have fun for zero costs. So in my opinion, just being aware of what is going to happen in the end of the day, will not make you as a responsible gambler; moreover I do see if you gamble then you are perfect suitable to call as a irresponsible persons even you win for a day because one or other you will lose more than what you won in your entire life. That's gambling.

There will be no need to worry on limiting gambling when we not at all gamble, right? Quit gambling completely and then you will start progressing in your life in all means.
Because that's how the brain works and that's inevitable. It knows that in the end, 99% of the times (depending on HE) you're gonna end up losing everything but until the vary last dime it'll force you to play.
Dopamine, that's the real issue!
