Send me a join.me link so I can check if the set up is all right. The wrong set up will bring your balance to 0.00 in just a few minutes.

Bwahahahahaha.
Join.me now supports single-window sharing in a sandbox, and you can disable remote control instantly with a keystroke. Why worry? Grin
442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The psychology of a con man - Zhou on: July 28, 2012, 02:08:11 AM
Rarity just strikes me as an immature soccer mom with the inability to use actual logic and reason. "The gubmint must protect us!!!1!"

Grow up.
443  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Interesting conversation with a retailer who formerly accepted Bitcoin on: July 27, 2012, 09:27:26 PM
There is no unresolved problem, simply uninformed merchants.

Of course, but what can be done to change this? Perhaps, I'm unintentionally exaggerating the difficulty, but not everyone "just gets it". Some people need to have their hand held throughout the process (not that nmteaco does, but some do) and/or are not "brave" enough to venture into something so new on their own, but really want to be involved. What can the community do to make this process, from beginning-to-end, easier for the least technical among us? If we want this Bitcoin project to move beyond a project and into wide-spread acceptance then something must be done to make it stupid-simple.

Maybe it can never be stupid-simple, I don't know.

Am I expecting too much, too soon?
Simply explain that just like credit cards, payment processors can take away all the hassle and make it easy to accept payments for a far lower fee then credit cards themselves. They don't even have to know the technical background, nor do they need to worry about volatility.
Bit-pay has already been mentioned, there are others as well such as Paymium/Paysius.
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where's Zhou on: July 27, 2012, 09:18:08 PM
I'm sorry folks around here were ripped off, but that is the inevitable result of the free market beliefs so many people around here believe in, not the fault of an honest man like Zhou tong.  A well regulated market with the government looking over our shoulder to keep everybody in line is the only way to solve this scamming issue.  Believing in an article about a phony, fraudulent science is just falling for one more scam.

"A well regulated market with the government looking over our shoulder to keep everybody in line is the only way to solve this scamming issue"

Is this a joke? are you trolling?
Yes. Yes, she is as usual.

Sheeit, how much RAM do you have anyway? I've been considering building a monster, but with 24 cores I'm assuming you already have a lot of RAM.
447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Statement about the suspect of recent Bitcoinica hack on: July 27, 2012, 07:30:24 PM
But, I'm really having my doubts that even Zhou Tong is real. 17? I'm having a hard time with this story now. Seems unlikely there's anyone real to prosecute.
Not this shit again. Didn't you see the pics he posted for Phinnaeus Gage? Including shots of a dozen or so debit cards with his name, his face, and a personal message for PG.

I think you are grasping at straws in order to keep yapping and adding to the confusion. I don't think you have the ability or the balls to do "something" or "anything", so you just shout about it to the world. You seem to have a major personality issue that results in you attacking anyone, fabled or real, whether they are helping or hindering. Therefore, I think you need to see a shrink about that.

Have a nice day.

Not trolling, but what really happened to the last guy that you set up with this system back in 2011? The thread topic was pretty much identical.

RJF, dig up the old post and remind me what happened please. Cheers!

Maria.

Note: The account can be a DEMO, but if you want to set up a real account, feel confident to do so with a 1,000 min deposit. In 4 to 6 weeks your balance should be around 1,150.00

Maria.
Very good - I see this here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=41793.msg572639#msg572639
Your demo account lost 1700 BTC.
The "Chucksta" guy looks like he was in the money at around $4k, but on a demo account as far as I can tell, and he suddenly stopped posting to confirm any further wins. That's why I was wondering.
450  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dwolla: story of account suspension on: July 27, 2012, 04:06:12 PM
Pull all your credit reports and look for anything suspicious. You are entitled by law to a free credit report from each of the big 3 agencies.
451  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools on: July 27, 2012, 03:43:25 PM
They take payment via BTC, which is why we use them.  However, they are very unreliable, even for a cheap virtual hosting place.  This means the bamter.org site is sometimes offline.

If anybody knows of a better VPS/hosting solution that takes BTC, lemme know.
http://bitvps.com/ is run by a guy that knows what he is doing and takes bitcoins.
452  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does any one have the phone number to the Bitcoin Police Department? on: July 27, 2012, 03:41:30 PM
wait, you can call emails now?
Sure, if the email just happens to match someone's SIP scheme: sip:user@domain.com but that's not always the case.

454  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Membergroups; or: Why do some users get colored coins under their names? on: July 27, 2012, 03:11:15 PM
Nice post.

Could you add information about how the coins turn into other symbols in non-default themes? All standard (non-donator, non-staff) coin symbols turn into stars in the Core theme I am using.
Only the main default theme is supported, the others do not get regular maintenance and may be slightly broken.
455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't buy bitcoins. Use carrots instead! on: July 27, 2012, 03:01:13 PM
My carrots were stolen! However, they all had a unique serial number. Please blacklist them so they can't be used again!

I have sent it in already... though in my experience they usually don't do much without contact from someone involved in the production or compilation of the software.  :/

AVG Research Lab has analyzed the file(s) you have sent from your AVG Virus Vault. Below you can find the results for each file. The final verdict on the file is either a correct detection or a false positive detection.

Further information about the verdicts are available at our website:

"c:\Users\Chris Howie\Desktop\bfgminer-2.5.1-win32\pdcurses.dll" - detection is correct

Yeah, that's more or less what I expected.
Wonder if you can zip up the source code for just pdcurses.dll and send them in together.

Thanks rjk for a very smooth deal and shipping. The package was packed excellent. Thanks once again! Smiley
Cool, pretty painless to ship international, not as much of a big deal as I thought it might be. Enjoy!
