441  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which are the cheapest BTC exchanges? on: July 01, 2013, 07:54:31 PM
The price is low for a reason.

Either there is no sufficient depth/order book, or it costs too much to move money in/out.

Moving fiat both into and out of Bitstamp is very cheap, quick and simple for most Europeans. What's hard is moving fiat out of MtGox, and this is why their price is so much higher than the other exchanges.
442  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is MTGOX down for anyone else ... again? on: June 23, 2013, 10:53:41 PM
Seems I don't understand something. Gox is down for me some time today, but http://bitcoinwisdom.com/  still shows real time data. How?
The same time bitcoinchart and bitcoinity both have a dead fragment in chart.
Maybe it just fakes it, or maybe data.mtgox.com wasn't DDOSed.
443  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Fucking Satoshi Dice dude... on: June 14, 2013, 10:02:54 AM
Probably because you didn't paid any fees.

it never screwed up before when i didn't pay any fees.

The irony is that it doesn't confirm because too many people are playing Satoshi Dice. I agree with your title.
444  Economy / Services / Re: Can someone in Ireland top up my 3 mobile account for me? on: June 12, 2013, 11:15:00 AM
BitCoinUser123 bought one for me, very quick and easy trade. Thanks!
445  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: Skatteverket - Eller så betalar man skatt on: June 03, 2013, 12:58:26 PM

447  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How much does your bank charge for receiving/sending fiat internationally? on: June 01, 2013, 09:52:28 AM
My theory being that most EU banks don't charge much while most US banks screw their customers on the matter. Maybe it's done to "protect" their precious citizens from those nasty overseas fraudsters lol
The banks in European countries have usually cooperated in or been forced to make national, and lately European, standards. This makes transfers cheap and easy. In the US the culture among companies is to try to lock in customers. Some of the results are that checks were popular in the US for a long time after they had been replaced by debit cards in Europe, and implementing online banking for paying bills have been much easier in Europe. It's the same thing for mobile phones, where Europe had GSM and every US company had their own standard.

Somebody has an agenda.
Maybe they've realized they'll get a bunch of extra clicks if they mention Bitcoin in articles.
449  Economy / Services / Re: Can someone in Ireland top up my 3 mobile account for me? on: May 27, 2013, 08:19:48 PM
As I haven't got any response so far I'm increasing my offer to €15 for a €10 top up.

451  Economy / Services / Can someone in Ireland top up my 3 mobile account for me? on: May 26, 2013, 09:58:28 PM
I have an Irish 3 broadband SIM, because it provides cheap broadband in several countries. Unfortunately it won't accept any of my Visa cards, probably because they're issued in Norway. Because of this I will pay €12 in BTC for a €10 top up. I assume it can be topped up with a voucher which can be bought in Ireland, or an Irish payment card. Please PM if you can help.
452  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: [ANN] Justcoin (Norway) on: May 26, 2013, 12:11:16 PM
453  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstamp volume more than half mtgox! on: May 25, 2013, 07:56:15 PM
Not likely, since they're operating from Slovania through an Italian bank, would be really scary if the US could actually seize anything in that context.
What's more important to Slovenia and Italy - being on good terms with the US, or allowing a tiny company to trade bitcoins? This is what it can all come down to.
454  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Mtgox going down ??? on: May 18, 2013, 07:30:56 AM
PS : EU is on the way to legalize stealing money from depositors (http://larouchepac.com/node/26144). Keeping big amounts of cash in any EU bank is lunacy....period.
It's always been like this when a bank loses money, anywhere in the world. The directive is there to reduce the chance of making the general public pay instead of those who deposited money with stupid banks, like they've done in the US and EU the last few years.
455  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is virwox back to normal? on: May 17, 2013, 10:43:42 PM
Users won't be allowed to resell SLL, so that's unlikely. They may find another way to sell BTC, but if you want some you should probably buy now to be safe.
456  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How do other sites protect against DDOS? on: May 17, 2013, 05:49:57 PM
IMO, because high traffic DDOS attacks cost a lot of money, I think the magnitude of the DDOS traffic as an indicator of the perceived threat of Bitcoin by the attackers, and therefore a measure of the huge potential they see Bitcoin as having.
Or, more likely, it's because people start panic selling every f'ing time MtGox is being DDOSed. If you're the one doing the DDOSing it's pretty easy to know when you should sell and when you should buy.

458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the ripple(XRP) value in one year ? GO VOTE NOW ! on: May 14, 2013, 11:44:02 AM
Ripple is what those who are very negative to Bitcoin but doesn't understand it claims Bitcoin is. It is centralized, and all the currency is pre-mined and has to be bought. Ripple is Bitcoin for suckers.
