461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 10, 2018, 04:22:14 PM
Being the very first match of the new season and knowing Mourinho's style of play, I am thinking of betting on no goals scored in the first half @ 3.00 odds. I think the game is likely going to start in classic Mourinho fashion - by semi-parking the bus  Grin I also like both teams to score @ 2.10, but I don't know if the teams are in top form after the break and if there will be first squad players missing. Perhaps both teams will want to get a feel of playing a league match again after the summer break and won't play very aggressively on the attack.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: August 10, 2018, 03:23:47 PM
Yep unfortunately for me not a lot of goals were scored yesterday... There were some shocking results like Dinamo Minsk thrashing Zenit St.Petersburg 4-0 and Trencin beating Feyenoord with the same score. But I think Dudelange, the modest team from Luxembourg, dropped the bomb yesterday night by defeating Legia at their own stadium in Poland 2-1. The pre-match odds for Dudelange victory were 12.00! Absolutely amazing  Shocked

I have updated to the new signature and I am ready to roll! Thanks again for extending the campaign!
Cheers!  Cheesy

P.S. Is it just me or is the [/font] in the signature visible for everyone else? I think the hero/legendary signatures aren't fixed. When you click on the  INDUSTRY LEADING BITCOIN SPORTSBOOK portion of it it leads to a missing image error.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: August 09, 2018, 10:59:18 AM
I haven't written here for quite a while and seeing that there is more than 30 semi-final Europa League qualifiers tonight I figured I might post some picks because why not haha Cheesy So I am not going to pick any of the heavy favorites as the odds are astronomically low, and I am going to bet on some of the less popular teams instead. There is a few I like below. Good luck everyone.

Hapoel Haifa - Atalanta BTTS
Apollon - Brest BTTS
Sturm Graz - AEK BTTS & over 2.5
Trencin - Feyenoord BTTS & over 2.5
Jagiellonia - Gent BTTS
Basaksehir - Burnley BTTS
Vitesse - Basel BTTS
Nordsjaelland - Partizan BTTS
Braga to win
Hajduk Split - FCSB BTTS
Rangers to win
Hibernian to win
467  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Shouldn't people take a better care of their own species? on: August 09, 2018, 10:36:10 AM
Well animals have one big advantage over human beings and that is unadulterated, unconditional love. On the other hand humans are inherently treacherous and dishonest, and they will stab you in the back sooner or later. That's not to say there aren't any pets that will bite the hand that feeds them, but it's usually a very rare exception to the rule and it's mostly animals that have been abused in the past. Taking care of perfect strangers like homeless people is very risky, because you never know how they will conduct themselves in their new home. At first they might appear grateful and sweet, and then start acting out and make trouble.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 09, 2018, 08:55:45 AM
Thibaut Courtois was sold to Real Madrid, because he refused to go to Chelsea team trainings unless he is transferred to the Spanish team so they transferred him. Also, Keylor Navas is 31 years old while Courtois is 26, and I think Real are investing in the Belgian goalkeeper for the future as their first choice player. Looks like Chelsea had no other choice but to get rid of him.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Government backed, regulated gambling is more predatory than Crypto Gambling on: August 08, 2018, 07:39:01 PM
I think some of the fiat casinos based in the US like Bovada and 5Dimes have started to legally accept Bitcoin as they are regulated by the goverment and pay taxes. Obvioulsy most of the online crypto sportsbooks and casinos are not regulated, and hence have stopped accepting players from the USA that may cause legal problems to their business. I don't play the lottery so can't comment on that.

471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We should write about our successes to increase Bitcoin adoption on: August 08, 2018, 02:14:58 PM
Well if I was sitting on Bitcoin riches like some early adopters (sadly I am not) I wouldn't want my name and face plastered all over the media and especially I wouldn't want to attract too much unwanted attention to myself and my family. It's best to keep your Bitcoin networth a secret and the fewer people to know about this the better. Otherwise you are going to paint a huge target on your back and will give the local thugs and mafia lots of reasons to pay you a visit. I can't even imagine doing this in Africa. It's like asking for big trouble.
472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin might have been a FAILED experiment by the NSA - How funny would that be on: August 08, 2018, 11:12:29 AM
Proprietary code and one single country controlling all the nodes on a global decentralized financial network? That doesn't sound about right and contradicts itself by the way. I don't know how the NSA would have arranged for a lot of nodes to be set up in multiple locations around the world either. And in the presence of China who are probably USA's greatest economic enemies the NSA wouldn't have had the resources to stop a 51% network attack should China have decided to pull the plug on the global network. Ironically China have the most hashing power nowadays and can literally control the fate of Bitcoin. This theory sounds too far-fetched to me, and even if it had a shred of truth and Satoshi Nakamoto was a rouge government agent I guess he wouldn't be among the living right now.
473  Economy / Economics / Re: China’s Payment Apps Give U.S. Bankers Nightmares on: August 08, 2018, 08:59:12 AM
I can speak from experience that both Wechat pay and Alipay are basically accepted everywhere within mainland China. Even overseas, there are merchants that accept both of these payment methods. Even bank cards are becoming obsolete as a result of the convenience of scanning a QR code to pay, even for groceries.

The massive rate of adoption is just unseen anywhere else, and it's really interesting to see that western counterparts such as Paypal, or Apple Pay, have ever made.

One of the reasons is probably the fact that Wechat/Alipay are both irreversible, while paypal is completely reversible. Also their marketing campaigns with Chinese red packets really boosted early adoption as well.

It'll be interesting to see development of third party payment processors in the future outside of China. They'll be a major threat to the traditional banking system, alongside cryptos. It'll be interesting to see the battle between them.

Really? Wechat and Alipay are both irreversible? Is it like Bitcoin's level of irreversibility of transactions? What about buyers and sellers protection then? I reckon PayPal gets a bad rap for the increasing number of illegitimate chargebacks people might experience using their platform for doing business, but at least there is a case resolution center and scam attempts could be successfully resolved or prevented. China is notorious for bad business practices, and wouldn't the removal of basic consumer protection lead to a boom of elaborate scams anyone could pull off easily without fear of repercussion due to the transactions being completely irreversible?
474  Economy / Economics / Re: Korean Police Raid Firm in Fraud ICO Probe of $130 Billion Shipwreck on: August 07, 2018, 04:44:03 PM
What we do expect?
Government will normally interfere with these kind of transactions when a certain gold would be found it would be automatically be a property of the government itself.

Governments should act every time such a scam appears.
There is no gold, there was no gold (even the Russians deny it) and the ship and its virtual gold was used in scams before.

They are soo dumb on making or tagging it on an ICO which it isnt really needed yet those gold bars would already be enough for them to have big or huge sums of money.
So what would be the purpose of those Shinil gold coins? just been backed by a gold from a wreckage.

As I said, there is no gold, the ICO is just a scheme to get real existent money from people.

I don't think they could get more creative than this haha Grin

Atlantis coin? Mu coin?  Grin Coins backed by dinosaur samples of ADN?

Actually there is one guy in the comment section of the crypto news site saying jokingly that he wanted to run a $130Billion ICO backed by kimchi. Any investors interested in Kimchi Coin? Cracked me up  Grin
I think it's possible that the sunken Russian warship really exists and might have been loaded with gold, but I have serious doubts that the Koreans have found the exact location of the wreckage. I know that warships have been used to transport spoils of war during World War I&II  so it makes sense from a historical perspective for such an incident to have occurred in the Russo-Japanese War earlier. However I am inclined to believe they are using this story as bait for gullible and greedy investors blinded by the promised gold riches.
475  Economy / Economics / Re: Korean Police Raid Firm in Fraud ICO Probe of $130 Billion Shipwreck on: August 07, 2018, 01:42:00 PM
Oh my ICO tokens backed up by the gold from a sunken historical warship Shocked I don't think they could get more creative than this haha Grin
I reckon the purpose of those Shinil Gold Coins is to collect enough capital in order to launch a recovery operation at the site of the sunken ship and extract the gold cargo. But it's not mentioned in the article whether or not they have even found that ship for real, and judging by the police investigation that might not be the case. I guess it's all fake and they have been lying to their investors. Clever scheme at that I have to say.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 07, 2018, 10:01:34 AM
Yeah I second this. I think they selected Mourinho for a reason as he was supposed to rejuvenate the team and turn things around for the better after the failed attempts by the famous yet unsuccessful previous United managers. Mourinho was regarded at the time as one of the top managers in the world (some would argue he was the best), but I think he has lost a lot of his lustre since his first tenure at Chelsea. I think he just doesn't cut it any more, and I am kinda getting tired of his crazy excuses after failing to win important matches. I mean, there surely are less expensive managers that can respond wittily to journalists' questions all the while looking gloomy and dejected on camera lol  Grin
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 07, 2018, 09:16:26 AM
Some last hour goalkeeper transfer rumours I found quite interesting: Chelsea are looking for a new goalie before the transfer window closes on Thursday. Allegedly they are trying to sign Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid as their number 1 priority and if that deal doesn't go through they will try getting Jack Butland from Stoke City instead. Thibaut Courtois is likely to join Real Madrid if Chelsea let him go.

The problem must be on your end, because I have no problems accessing the website from my mobile and 2 laptops on wireless and 4G. I would suggest that you try clearing your browser cache or restarting your modem, but I guess you have done this already. If not - give it a try.
479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 06, 2018, 04:31:50 PM
^  Yup and he hasn't really stayed at a single club for more than 4 years or so.  If he leaves this season or at the next season then Man United would be his 'greatest failure'.  He was brought in to win the league and play attacking football, but nada...  He could at least give United fans the latter.

Well I am a United supporter. I am not gonna lie, after Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement all the managers have failed to achieve anything substantial. I am starting to wonder if Mourinho's era hasn't already run its course and he needs to go now. I could care less about who the next manager would be, honestly. Big name or no-name manager it doesn't matter as long as they manage to win a trophy again. United have been in shambles since Ferguson left and the only significant trophy for that period of time was the Europa League cup last year. That's not enough for Mourinho to stay.
