BTC.TOP signalling too - so now all of the top 12 pools have signalled one or more blocks - so if they all signal full time up at about 95%.

we can slowly put the hats on Cool

If my OpSec IRL wouldn't require any mention of my crazy bitcoinery I'd absolutely wear that amazing hat but given the fact that I'm almost paranoid as fuck, I'd never wear it in public.
Great design and good news, taproot can come sooner than I imagined.

Rummenigge says goodbye to Klose as second-in-command for Bayern Munich. As assistant coach he won the German championship 8 times, five German Cups, two Champions League, two Club World Cups and two European Super Cups. He also successfully coached BM second team and trained great champions: from Bastian Schweinsteiger and Philipp Lahm to Thomas Müller and David Alaba, all players who made Bayern history.
Time for new challenges for Miro Klose.

I'm going to puke with all these threads discussing the fricking environmental problem that bitcoin might cause.
It's a free market, anyone can buy all the electricity available to do whatever they think it's best. The real problem, and we know it, is that the whole world still runs on fossils.
In a million years the Sun is gonna die and it's gonna kill us all anyway.

Champions League is set for next year in Bundesliga. It's game over for Eintracht Frankfurt with one game remaining and 4 points gap with Wolfsburg.
It only remains to be seen if Werder will be able to avoid relagation or not, there's not much else to be wait for in Bundesliga this season.

Liverpool's alive, confirmed! It's gonna be a point by point challenge against Chelsea!
1 point may be enough for Chelsea to keep the fourth place but this means the blues can't lose a single game until the end because Liverpool will win every remaining game.

ETF or not at the end of the year we will be close to 100k. And I'm just being bearish

Wolfsburg's had a very good year, but now it's called to complete the work. It still has to try to secure access to the main continental club football event, so it will take the field with great determination.
Leipzig will find it hard to adequately counter Ridle Baku, Yannick Gerhardt, Josip Brekalo - fresh from his sensational hat-trick against Union Berlin - and Wout Weghorst, a good centre forward. Wolfsburg is likely to win at least a point and score more than one goal.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: May 16, 2021, 03:21:00 PM
For the second time in the last nine seasons, a club other than Paris Saint Germain could win Ligue 1. Four years ago, Monaco managed to momentarily interrupt PSG good winning streak. Today, however, the top of the standings is occupied by Lille, able to count on three lengths of advantage over the team coached by Mauricio Pochettino, just two rounds before the end of the tournament.
PSG shouldn't have problems winning against Reims but nothing is set in stone. Whatever that outcome, Lille will win too so PSG chances are very small right now.

Liverpool is alive. Jurgen Klopp's men do not want to be left out of Champions. It would be a tremendous sporting disappointment for a club that not even 365 days ago won the Premier League, dominating it from start to finish. This year, however, things have not gone as planned. Injuries have decimated the Reds' roster and the coach has almost never been able to field the best line-up.
If they win all three remaining games, they can have a chance to buy the final ticket for the greatest European tournament!

These are only two examples, but many others are there: China-coal powered bitcoin mining is only an accident in time. The competition will drive miners toward more economic sources of energy.

Greenidge says N.Y. bitcoin mining operation to be carbon-neutral by June 1

Quote

(Reuters) – Greenidge Generation Holdings Inc said on Friday it will operate an entirely carbon-neutral bitcoin mining operation at its upstate New York facility starting on June 1.

The company said it will purchase voluntary carbon offsets from a portfolio of U.S. greenhouse gas reduction projects. The company converted its power generation operations from coal to natural gas in 2017.

Cap and Trade are a widely available mechanism to allow polluting industries to offset their emissions and incentivising them to lower the total amount of emission.

ARGO BLOCKCHAIN BUYS HYDRO DATA CENTERS TO REALIZE GREEN BITCOIN MINING VISION

Quote
Cryptocurrency mining firm Argo Blockchain has continued its move toward environmentally-friendly bitcoin mining by purchasing two hydroelectric-powered data centers in Quebec, Canada, according to a press release on the London Stock Exchange, on which Argo is listed.

This mining operation could very well be on the opposite side of the trade. Being powered by renewable energy, their emission would be lower than the allowed level, giving them the eventual possibility to sell their carbon emissions.

These are great news! Not only there's an ever-growing industry ready to mine bitcoin taking into account low-carbon sources but also considering, eventually,  to sell carbon emissions too. Dear Elon, are you regretting being a bit gullible on the bitcoin environmental disaster?
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Debunking the "Bitcoin is an environmental disaster" argument. on: May 15, 2021, 11:59:54 AM
Amazing thread fillippone, thank you very much for having collected the most comprehensive articles selection currently available to destroy the utter shitty arguments against bitcoin and its so-called energy problem.
I see no problem, anyway
472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to debunk the Bitcoin Energy Consumption drama on: May 15, 2021, 11:53:47 AM
What I found exceptionally spot on reading the article in OP is that basically the Internet had to suffer the same bullshit. Today's bitcoin turn ok, but I think the environmental attack is yet another attempt to take the king down in favor of the crazy horseshit boiling in the other blockchain pot.
Yes, bitcoin consumes energy, so what? it's called progress. and that's how it works

And now the ghosts are going out of the cupboard!
https://www.dailysabah.com/business/finance/dogecoin-developers-musk-working-together-since-2019-report
So the guy have been interested in Doge since 2019! Two years of accumulation to then manipulate the market, can't you see that?
I think the SEC might knock him down this time, don't tell me how.

If you guys didn't watch the game won yesterday by Manchester City, watch at least the highlights: an amazing game.
Liverpool... will this team be able to get the last ticket for the next year Champions League? I think the Reds can easily win the last three games and get onboard the CL bandwagon at the expense of either Chelsea or Leicester.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 15, 2021, 11:27:58 AM
We still don't know all the Bundesliga representatives in next year's Champions League. Wolfsburg, BVB and Eintracht are still competing for promotion. In this queue, Eintracht seems to have the easiest task, playing against the weak Schalke. At the bottom of the table there is still fierce competition for staying in the Bundesliga. There are still 5-6 teams at risk of relegation. The historical duel between Robert Lewnadowski and Gerd Mueller is also going on all the time. The Pole needs 2 goals to break the Bundesliga record.
I agree with you here, it's going to be intriguing to know which of these teams will not make into Champions League next year. I'll analyze BVB first: they will keeping winning until the end and they'll make into CL for sure. Wolfsburg has a very difficult match vs. Leipzig and a small mistake could cost them CL as Eintracht could take advantage of it.
If I was to bet I'd say, apart from Bayern and Leipzig maybe Wolfsburg and BVB will prevail.

40k € barrier broken for the third time on the 1H chart (soon after $50k got broken). Looks like there will be a DOWNity (for ants) before the big UPpity resumes before the end of May, taking us to a new ATH. Yes, I know this post is dumb and doesn't say much...

Where's Bob?
I don't know where Bob is, but I do know that reading mEtheads talking about it becoming more valuable than bitcoin and more deflationary than bitcoin is making me crazy.
And people are buying the narrative.
Crazy

The games I'll focus for a good and profitable betslip are those of Hertha, Augsburg, Werder and Arminia (I think Koln is done).
Hertha - Koln should result in Herta winning the game (this is the most difficult one).
Augsburg - Werder sound like a showdown between the two but I see it ending in a draw.
Arminia - Hoffenheim, home team can do it and win!

479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 14, 2021, 02:02:43 PM
I wouldn't say that to Milan as even if they will be facing Cagliari they will be facing Atalanta on their next match and Napoli as well as Juventus is not that far behind although Juventus will be facing Inter Milan I don't think this top 2-5 teams will be giving up on this spots so really this is a close one for all 4 teams. In terms of schedule Juventus might be the toughest one but Milan and Atalanta will also be facing each other and that match could be a deciding factor on who enters the Champions League.

I prefer Inter to win for two reasons:
- It has always been my favorite club in Italian Internazionale Milano. Wink
- I think Juventus deserves a lesson, due to the arrogant attitude that it has been all this season, and to blame the best player in the world, for the management mistakes they made.
Juventus is not gonna lose the with Inter: if there's one last thing that Juventus could do to save a bit of pride this is to win against Inter. On top of that, it's crucially important to bring those 3 points home otherwise they can definitely say goodbye to champions league.
480  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Taproot proposal on: May 14, 2021, 01:55:17 PM
Fair point but a miner must be extraordinarily committed to bitcoin and its underlying values to switch from non-signalling to signalling pools. This would be a great sign anyway, any shift in this sense will be like an act of war towards the pool which refuses to signal the upgrade.
In the end it depends if the miners are here for the cash or the vision (because any pool works for getting cash). On the other side, if non-signalling pool see a decrease in their HP, well, they should get in line and update or they can prepare themselves to lose money.
I like it
