461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bet on live game or while game hasn't started yet? on: July 30, 2023, 09:26:55 PM
I mostly bet on matches that haven't started yet, but sometimes I bet on live games as well. In general, I bet on matches that have not yet started when I think I have made a good prediction based on statistics and performance data from the last weeks. If I am watching a match live and the match is played with a defensive tactic for both teams, I bet on the total number of goals in that match. I use both methods, but I usually prefer to rely on my pre-match analysis. Live bets sometimes give more dangerous results for me.
I think this depends entirely on your preferences, I do not like live bets because when it comes to the bets I can make before the games starts I can take as much time as I want in order to take a decision and see if I am picking the right team for the right odds, however lives bets are very chaotic in the sense I do not have the time to think too much about them, and I need to take a quick decision without being completely sure if the decision I am taking is the right one.
At times my mind picks an odd and there'll be little hesitation in placing bets. Most of the time this scenario happens with teams that are equally strong. In such situation I prefer to go with live betting and used to pick the same team when the odds have increased. This have brought me good win as well as losses. Apart from this during the last moment of the matches used to place bets and this is mostly on close cricket matches.

Australia's two opening batsmen will have a great chance to win against England with this great performance of Australia today. England bowling performance is not a very good one as the bowling is completed till 38 overs but no wickets fall. England team must win with bowling performance to ensure victory because Chris Woakes has done great bowling performance at the moment so he should bowl more. But there are many bowlers who have scored massive runs that should be kept between breaks for now.
Australia's game quality is still very good and they are yet to lose a wicket and complete 135 runs they need only 249 runs to win.  I guess they can manage this run.  Australia have played 4 matches with England before, in those matches England won only 1 time and Australia won 2 times and 1 match was drawn.  However, coming to the 5th match, Australia has a lot of chances to win this time.  David Warner and Usman Khawaja continue to play without getting out.  They will cross 150 runs very quickly and even if they get out after that, there will be no problem as the rest of the players can manage the rest of the runs
Actually Australian team are very strong. Their game quality is fantastic. Their need to only 249 run to win. I think it will be very easy for Australian cricket team. Two opener till now bot out. Usman and warner are playing well. Usman dwarn 69 runs and warnar did 58 runs. If Australia continue this quality i think Australia will be win. I wish for both team.
Australia team had opened the innings really well. For a run chase close to 400 runs solid opening is the must. Australia have got the same in this match. Next thing is the middle order performance to stand wicket if there falls few quick wickets. When the team is able to execute this perfectly, then the team can easily reach the target. More 249 runs required with a day's play of 98 overs left and 10 wickets in hand seems a win for Australia. Lets see if the England bowlers can make some miracles.

Is this Zverev's "comeback" when he wins a tournament that was almost only played by inferior players? Ruud and Rublev seem to not have taken it too seriously and now Zverev can win the 348k and 500 ATP points. I checked how many points this tournament is worth and honestly, comparing the line-up of this one to some of the other ATP 500 tournaments, these 500 points would probably be the some of the easiest he has ever earned if he wins it. But let's first see if he freaks out again before the game ends. Cheesy

I think every player should be given the credit today. And I also think that zverev is certainly someone who deserves the credit for even reaching the final.

By the way, the match between Djere and Zverev is finally over. Of course, the winner was Zverev as expected. He did not give much of a chance to his opponent. It was genuinely a great performance from him.

I don’t understand why people are saying that he had an easy match in the finals. Why people do not want to agree that almost every final match is going to be 50-50.

Anyway, I don’t think you should care too much about the haters. He got a great win in the final and he should celebrate it.

Zverev won the title but I can't say it was the best match of his career or something like that. Far from it actually. In the second set, Zverev broke Djere and was up 4:1 but then he lost his serve game and Djere made it 3:4. Then Djere lost another serve game and it allowed Zverev to serve for the championship, which he successfully did. And Djere is not even a top player. Still, I believe this win will add some confidence and let Zverev play better in the next tournaments.
You could've expected big performance from Zverev and that's the reason you weren't satisfied with the winning score of 7-5 6-3. Just because Djere isn't a top player, it doesn't mean he can't perform. Every player have got their skills. Based on the statement it looks like an underdog should never play or give competence against any of the top player. Zverev considers it a comeback though it isn't a big tournament.
464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'll always tell people about bitcoin on: July 29, 2023, 11:47:43 PM

When you tell people about BTC, you somehow carry a vague responsibility. If you feel that way, you must also tell them to sell to take a profit when the bull market is almost over. The blame will be worse when the person you convinced to invest in BTC is your close friend. You don't wanna lose that trust and friendship.

I feel ashamed of one of my colleagues when I told him to buy XRP back in 2016 and not send a notice to sell when the bear market started in 2018.
I took the responsibility too. I always remind my sister to sell the coins that I sold to her because I don't want her to suffer the same fate that I did in 2017.
To be on the safer side we should not give suggestions on investment. We need to just give the introduction and further direct them towards the available sources. Let them choose what is necessary for them. When we give suggestions, surely the blame will be on us if the same didn't profit. Opposite thing happened with me, I introduced cryptocurrency to a person and never suggested on investment over particular cryptocurrency. He chose something on his own and was lucky to make good money, and I supported him to buy as he doesn't have the proper knowledge back. Once after booking good profit he never said a word on it later. So we need to introduce and never expect them to be good with us.
465  Economy / Economics / Re: The gloomy light called subsidy. on: July 29, 2023, 11:35:13 PM
Subsidy is really good and a much needed one. This is a way to enrich and uplift people from the lower level to next level of living. This is the real purpose for which subsidy came into effect. In most of the countries this isn't getting followed in the right way as we will be able to see people who are filthy rich enjoying the benefits of subsidy. This is where the governments need to be corrupt free and the data management should be done perfectly so that the right person receives the subsidy and there is no need of removal of subsidy to handle the ongoing economic situation ans burden the real sufferers.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Abuse ... on: July 29, 2023, 11:23:48 PM
I think it's not about abuse, but not knowing what it could do to you in the long term is the problem. Imagine, it's you who is being abused, not gambling. Gambling must be controlled, and your urge to gamble should be managed. It's weird to use "abuse" with "gambling" because it's not being used as something to be abused.

The sad thing about that is that people already know and have the knowledge for what is coming towards them if they chose to walk down that path without any precautions with them yet they still do it anyway with the hopes that they could bring a massive amount in their lifetime by gambling, but in the end, they found their own selves in the exact opposite situation because they fail to set boundaries before starting. By that time, they are already one of the addicted gamblers even if they themselves don't want to be in that position.
They are aware but can't control their self just because of the pleasure and excitement that they get from gambling and they forget to stay in control. I also don't like the term abuse and its ok to use the term, irresponsible gambler because this is all about you and you discipline, so if you fail to do this then its not an abuse, its all your fault in the first place. Gambling is there to do their business, and if you become addict, that's your emotional problem so what you can do right now is to think how to control yourself and be responsible.
Yes, the word looks as if like the gambling platform have cheated or forced you to gamble. Gambling is pure business and the same is taken forward by them. It is upto the gambler whether to use it or not. Further the control and other things were upon the gambler and not on the gambling platform. Only thing the gambling platforms provide is a warning that already they've lost so and so in the last 24hrs or won specific amount. This might give some reminder to stop for the day.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 29, 2023, 11:14:50 PM
Once again England have got an opportunity to win the match. We don't know how far this is gonna happen in favour of England, because they've been experiencing bad luck unable to win the match which is completely in their hands. Already 377 runs leading and we can expect this to reach a maximum of 400 runs as Anderson and Broad were on the crease. Very few chases have taken place crossing 400+ runs and with two complete days left Australia will try to win the match and win the series.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: July 29, 2023, 11:06:15 PM
Superstitious beliefs were all around the world. The same being followed by the gamblers isn't a big surprise. Earlier he might've experienced win following this. If not someone who is already superstitious believer might've given the suggestion to practice and experience the difference. Some day these people will understand there is nothing to do, everything is happening out of the information we've got related to the sports as well as the luck we've got.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: July 28, 2023, 11:59:15 PM
I want to know what's the experience on using loan money. Is there additional pressure on gameplay or just the same using regular money without an interest rate.
oh, there is an additional pressure alright, every bet can be nerve-cracking especially if you keep losing a bet, it also makes you unnecessary riskier bets just to hope that you can get a big win and get back the money you've lost and more, in order to pay back the money you borrowed.

for sure, you have adrenaline rush when you are waiting for the results of your bets, if you just loaned the money with high interest. i don't want to put myself in that kinda situation because that's gonna be sick. i have the feeling that those gamblers who put themselves into this situation
Everyone won't understand the hard part of loan. They have an understanding that gambling will bring us big money. The real thing, it'll bring good money and we should have the right understanding to take break, stop, resume and have our limits. When we make statements it is really easy, but in real time we won't follow it. This makes gambling more riskier, and even more riskier when the money used is out of loan.
470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Days you need to work your ass at minimum wage for a BTC, by country on: July 28, 2023, 11:45:09 PM
In my country there is nothing as minimum wage. Based on the average wage in my locality I'll make the calculation. This used to vary around other states. In my region it is something around $10. With the present price of Bitcoin it needs atleast 8 years to have one bitcoin in the wallet. Life is really hard, as the government isn't much focused on things that are primary requirements.
471  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin will accepted worldwide for legal then price rising $100k?? on: July 28, 2023, 11:27:01 PM
The usage of bitcoin world wide have got its importance, but we can't be sure that the price gets direct connect with the increasing acceptance and usage. As the market revolves around the demand to supply there is chance of price reaching high. Already the price have reached around $70k, based on which the price reaching $100k isn't a big deal.

Everything need its time, and every market have got its own growth pattern. This can be a cyclic process that have dependence as well as independent move from the traditional market which makes the real reason behind the growth. If we were able to address it then we can be sure on how price could reach on increasing acceptance.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: July 28, 2023, 11:22:33 PM
When it comes to gambling, it is all about luck. When you're lucky even the worst prediction you make will bring you money. The bad part you'll endup losing everything even when you're 100% sure on your prediction but you don't have the luck. From my understanding whatever the care we take and have statistics we'll fail if we don't have the luck. For this reason some limits being set for the day/week/month as suggested by the OP seems to be the better choice.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: July 26, 2023, 11:48:50 PM
The percentage of casinos that have gone into bankruptcy is very low. This too could've happened due to some error or some sort of hacks from the gamblers. Very few platforms ended with bankruptcy due to the gamblers learning the scripts used and taking advantage of it to win big. Gambling House always have its edge, which means amidst the win/loss by the gambler and the house there'll be certain percentage that'll be accumulated as profit. These days we can't see bankruptcy of gambling platforms. Some have ended their services for different reasons and not of bankruptcy.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again. Will you take it? on: July 26, 2023, 11:41:15 PM
What other pattern of gambling can more favourable and appealing to offering me 5BTC so stop gambling for life. The bitter truth that majority of us gamble for the money not fun and if we are wealthy enough we will never accept gambling as an option to make money when we can invest in numerous projects that can fetch us profit that's not based predominantly on luck like gambling. So OP, YES I will take the 5BTC and gladly walk away from anything related to gambling. I can get fun from other pleasurable activities with my money.
I belief,  100% of members of the forum will simply pick the 5 Bitcoin and quite gambling for life,  even though a good number of members here only gamble to entertained themselves and not for the money,  it even though while we are seeking the fun,  the winning rewards is a big motivation to many of us and no greater fun having and watching 5 BTC chilling in your wallet.

I think there are no greater feelings like that feelings,  5 BTC means a lot of money in many parts of the world that could give you a better life that can make you forget gambling for life.
For a person residing in a third world country, 5BTC is something big and a common man won't earn in his lifetime based on the current price of bitcoin. Surely they'll take the 5BTC and assure not to gamble forever, in between when we move to the comfortable space once again the mind could get deviated looking for more.

In my situation I'll just share it with my family and keep 3BTC for myself with which I could get into trading and make few dollars a day.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you quit that's when you lose! on: July 25, 2023, 11:59:41 PM
Or worse, people will start considering committing a suicide and eventually end up taking their own life just like what we discussed here in this forum a couple of weeks ago about a student who used his tuition in gambling activities.

Honestly, it's not really that surprising that gamblers will end up in a situation like these because right from the start, they are already thinking it wrong and chasing whatever what is lost will be the easiest shortcut towards debt and problems. Gambling should be played with a total control over your emotions and setting the boundaries so that problems can be avoided.

This kind of situation will never cease to exist as long as there is no school for gamblers to guide them through their journey to placing a bet. Every gambler is basically a learner on its own, and at some point too, you can learn some things from other gamblers. The question is, what if you are learning from a bad gambler? It means the person can still be influenced. Chasing Losses in gambling is bad, but it's absolutely inevitable in the lives of some gamblers. Yes, I also came across the thread where the student gambled with the school fee. But the worst thing a compulsive gambler can do is commit suicide. It's really terrible to do such a thing.
Life is to live and we don't have the right to end it. We haven't made our life, our parents have given it and we're living it in the way we're taught and we've learnt. To some extent we'll be under the guidance of parents and guardians, beyond that it is the self learning and the practice that makes the person make decisions. As said losing is common and we should have the mind to accept it. When we go behind the losses to recover it we'll end up losing more and more. The continued losing streak and unable to achieve anything in life makes them end the life. We should not let our mind go to such extent at any situation.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Women's Cricket Prediction & Discussion - T20 & ODI on: July 25, 2023, 11:39:39 PM
I am surprised that no one in this thread has condemned the objectionable behavior from Harmanpreet Kaur after the 3rd ODI match. After she got out, she smashed the wickets with her bat, and during the post-match ceremony made some pathetic comments about the umpiring. Indian women are happy when the umpiring decisions go their way, but behave like baboons when they go against them. And this has become a clear trend now. Women players are also behaving boorishly, like the men. One of the reasons why I don't want jokers like Kohli in the Indian team. His behavior is being copied by a lot of younger players on and off the field.
Thats true the players enjoy whenever the decision goes in their favour and makes unwanted statements when the decision is against them. This shouldn't have happened, but human error is unavoidable. Even the players makes mistakes, they should realise and act when they're in public. As said these can be seen much with men's cricket and the trend is taking a transition into the women's cricket. Players like Virat Kohli should be a role model, and his activities and attitude needs to change.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 25, 2023, 04:45:55 AM
What a shit an a non sense it was that offer to Mbappe, i really dislike this kind of _"new" football, so much money involved without reason, only greed and business, i know football its a busines since 1990 but come on, this its so much.

Its gonna flood and cause a mass inflation on football.
These days football leagues have gained importance and it is in a transition level from one part of the world to the rest of the world. By the time Saudi Arabia have decided to take advantage of the scenario and making use of the opportunity. As mentioned this would cause big inflation in football. Already we've seen it happening with the European Football Clubs. For some time period European Clubs enjoyed and now Saudi Arabia Pro League clubs have begun to pour good sum of money into big players. Maybe after few decades this could happen somewhere else.
478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 25, 2023, 04:14:07 AM
After the defeat from the Wimbledon Djokovic have decided to withdraw from the ATP Toronto Masters. He had decided to be off from the court for few more days, also mentioned that he always enjoyed playing in Canada and hope to return in the coming years. This time quarter finalist of Wimbledon Eubanks gets entry into the Toronto main draw.
479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: July 24, 2023, 11:59:20 PM
Greed is common among the people when we're on the winning streak. This can't be overcome that easily. It needs time, because a person getting into greed might succeed out of luck or he gets down. To get out of the mentality ends when he/she experience a massive loss. Here the OP is good that his spending is very limited and doesn't hurt him in any means. From my understanding this is the base, small bet amount will slowly increase when the person experience to win big money. So, it is all about how we have control over our activity.
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: July 24, 2023, 11:53:15 PM
Everyone wants their lives to be better than before. The same when happens with ease it'll be more enjoyable. This makes people to gamble as look for good profit. Not everyone are successful in it. Whether you've got sufficient money or not, it is human mind to look for more and more. We can't term it greed all the time, but this is how human minds were developed  Wink

Myself have got the same thoughts on gambling. I usually prefer to have my wallet balance stable and make some earning beyond that. This is usually to meet some of my needs, but the same won't succeed everytime and we should have the mind to accept the reality of gambling.
