461  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: April 29, 2017, 11:35:35 AM
As an individual, I, too, support the freedom of BTC, but how would a Bitcoin bank damage this freedom?

Bitcoin bank could provide higher-volume services than your local BTC exchangers. Also, it would be a good reason for companies to trust in BTC.

It would not have to close off our current ways of BTC either (individuals traders, smart contracts, local investment holding...etc).
462  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Earning Heaven! on: April 23, 2017, 05:45:04 PM
The POW/POS calculators will surely be useful.

Next to the suggestion what others have made so far, what do you think of objectivity? Do You not feel this kind of approach too subjective?

If you are going to present your team's opinion, I am waiting for the answer how it will be better than anyone else's opinion in a forum.

An exciting method would be if you quoted experts of the field and point out the similarities and differences in their views.
463  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crowdfunding for nude photos/videos on: April 23, 2017, 05:31:13 PM
Omg, you have figured out this project for me hehe!

Now, what I wonder is, what if one of the donators shared the pictures? You and I know that there would be people who do this.

Even in the "highest donator" case. There should be a reputation system to spot malicious donors.
464  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to calculate ROI on: April 23, 2017, 01:35:20 PM
Wait a second. I just tried to use this formula, and I think it might work.. but I need a confirmation from expert..

Code:
$ROI = ($investment * $earned)/100;

I think, it is

Code:
(($earned - $investment) / $investment)

, which gives a non-percent value.

And the percent value is

Code:
(($earned - $investment) / $investment) * 100

Where earned is the amount you have after earning...
465  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Seeking a dev to build & maintain a Proof of Burn (PoB) token ~ LUCRATIVE TERMS on: April 22, 2017, 08:54:05 PM
Thank You!

Your upcoming developer could take some examples as well.
Since similar PoB utilities were used successfully at other, open-source platforms, which are popular nowadays.

I will make sure to follow your progress.

Do you have any deadline on this project?
466  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Use HASH | NOT to get scammed on: April 22, 2017, 07:56:29 PM
Without some truster partner or a friend, you won't be able to see the hash, unless someone is very kind to you, and show you it just for free.

Probably, you could find someone on the forum with the item. The person does not have to share the item with you, just the hash. From the hash, you do not know the content so does not break copyright. However, you can know if the hash is different than what the seller's trying to sell.

That would be cool as a method of checksum / digital signature.

Maybe you could save a serialized collection of checksums / digital signatures in a blockchain which would allow people to compare it to the products they download to ensure legitimacy?

There is a working service for that already.

It is not my intention to advertise any platform's solution now, but if you are truly interested, I can suggest an open-source example.
467  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mobile application or web application? on: April 22, 2017, 07:49:55 PM
Well, that depends. Do you need the users to be localized? Do you need to know their true identity? Phone number, etc...?
I'm surfing through many more websites each day, than I'm using different apps on my smartphone.

That is right and I guess it is easier to identify users via mobile app.

Because you can request for permissions, which -if granted- makes information collection much easier.

I think, I could develop both. The question is now, which of them should I begin with FIRST?
468  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Suggest a new project on: April 22, 2017, 07:38:51 PM
Some people wear bracelets containing their medical data & history for use in case they have a medical emergency.

Someone could probably build something similar using a blockchain, where data is carried in a person's cell phone or can be accessed remotely.

Don't know if its a good idea or bad idea, but there ya go.

I like this idea. I too have heard about these bracelets, but never really seen anyone wearing it. Is it really in demand?

Now there is a new trend in healthcare - interfaces built, security improved...etc. Will we still need such storage in the new era?
469  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CryptoGrabber - A physical arcade claw machine converted to accept Bitcoin on: April 21, 2017, 06:54:30 AM
Thanks, that's what I am thinking. I have worked with BitStashers.com before and I am thinking of some custom engraved wallets (Password protected by Helio Pay) aswell as some other funky engraved stuff they do with BTC addresses on them like the wallet sets with bottle openers etc.

I have actually got a few unique bitcoin related goods to test to see if the machine can pick them up as is or if I need something to hold them.

Also I've had a few people suggest the machine accepting other cryptocurrencies aswell as Bitcoin, what do you guys reckon?

I support the idea of adapting altcoins too. I look forward to paying in an altcoin and picking up a BTC wallet.

Exchange in the fun way Wink

Also, I look forward to seeing the expansion of the machine's item-portfolio.

Really hackforums has got signature campaigns?I am a member of hackforums. But I havent seen any signature campaigns there yet. May be I have missed that thread. I will check there. And buddy, thanks for listing all the forums in  order. It will help all the new members who visit this thread.

Yes, especially if you are upgraded. UB3R rank, 100+ reputation, weekly 10+ posts, nice quality should help. I could get into any of them with these stats. The name "signature campaign" is not that common in HF, though. Probably, you will find the same service with name "buying signature space". The rules are similar. You will wear the seller's ad in your signature for a time and in return get paid.

Hi! What should I do as a Computer Science degree project?

Deadline: +1 year after actual semester

Requirements:
  • It must contain some coding
  • It must be new
  • It must contribute to science
  • It must attract Uni teachers

My current preference is solo. I want it to be crypto releated and somehow useful for my own self.

I had a crypto related healthcare-analysis this semester. I also had a non-crypto project about IT supported IT recovery.

Somehow, I should combine them into a good idea.

The reason I put this into this section is because I want to find a project I can find profitable even after degree.

What should I develop? Please be short and to-the-point! I will contact you in private to discuss the details if I like the idea.
472  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Cheapest way to get Ledger Nano S ? on: April 16, 2017, 09:34:13 AM

I don't understand If you want to do a transaction with me or your friend, little bit confused. If you have a friend in France however then this shouldn't be an issue as Ledger are based in France and they have some resellers there, addresses:
-...-

Thank you for info!

My friend could bring me a Ledger Nano S when we meet next time.

But he also could bring you a Ledger Nano S...

...If you are willing to travel here or if it is not too expensive for Us to travel there Smiley
473  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [SELLING] Get any eBooks/eTextbooks within minutes on: April 16, 2017, 09:07:10 AM
Nice seller-history, you have  Smiley

If I asked you to look up a part in a certain book and upload its hash for verification, would you do it for me?

I do not want to fool you, I have every book I could have asked for at the moment, I just want to test my verification method.

For you, it would gain a new vouch, nevertheless  Wink
474  Economy / Goods / Re: Samsung S6 for sale. on: April 16, 2017, 09:01:26 AM
Let us say, you would ship it to the EU. Would I be able to put a local SIM card into it? Would it work well with that?

At Us, there are HWs that work only with certain SIM cards (providers). They do not work with others.
475  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Other Bitcoin forum on: April 16, 2017, 08:56:35 AM
Since we are using spaghetti-style, I ran an extractor in the discussion so far, removed duplicates and refactored them into a legit form.

Results are:

Code:
bitcoingarden( d o t )org/forum
Allcryptotalk( d o t )com
bitcointalk( d o t )pw/index( d o t )php
forum( d o t )bitcoin( d o t )com
thecryptochat( d o t )net/honey( d o t )php
bitcoin( d o t )com
cryptotalk( d o t )org
cryptohub( d o t )site/index( d o t )php
greatbitcoinstrategies( d o t )com/?rid=50
letstalkbitcoin( d o t )com
hackforums( d o t)net

HackForums was added by me. They have a crypto section and paid signature campaigns around the forum.

Do not let the name FOOL you! It, actually, is a pretty UB3R forum Smiley

- Replace (d o t) with .

Due to the fact, I had no time to manually check them, I would not want anyone to blindly visit these URLs unless he knows what he is doing.

Feel free to add new entries to this list and re-post! So, we will see our opportunities at one place.
476  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CryptoGrabber - A physical arcade claw machine converted to accept Bitcoin on: April 16, 2017, 08:30:24 AM
Exciting.

You could add some more "exciting" things as well to the inventory.

Things like pay-pass protected wallets, HW wallets, physical coins...etc.

Personally, I would not give up my lovely BTCs for a baseball cap hehe
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [EMC] EmerCoin — Innovative blockchain services! ( PoW&PoS - SHA-256) on: April 15, 2017, 04:06:53 PM
I thought the "not a super detailed response" explanation by craslovell was excellent Smiley

Merge mining allows Bitcoin miners to simultaneously mine Emercoin with their mining equipment. So a 51% attacker now needs to control 51% of much larger hashing power, whereas before they would only need to control 51% of the hashing power that had been dedicated only to Emercoin. And on top of it, an attacker also needs to own a huge amount of emc, due to Proof-of-Stake.

So, the combination of Proof-of-Stake with merged mined PoW should make EMC blockchain very difficult to reverse with the conventional 51% type of blockchain attacks.

I like how it builds up in regards to security. Blockchain technologies are secure by design, but "secure" should develop with the technological development. I think, EMC is ahead of the current situation. That is why it could explode to the moon when environment gets mature enough to adapt it.
478  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mobile application or web application? on: April 15, 2017, 04:02:28 PM
And what do you think about API-usage? Developing a web application with API. And integrating its services in mobile (Android/iOS) apps via the API.

It would be much more cost-efficient than designing from zero at both.

In this way, there would be a good web application and good mobile applications with the important functionality.
479  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Cheapest way to get Ledger Nano S ? on: April 15, 2017, 03:24:45 PM
I do not know if OP can pull this card, but I have a friend in France, EU. He should be able to get a Ledger Nano S easier, shouldn't he? He will visit me soon. Now, do you know any good offers to order Ledger Nano S in or to France? @OP, not to rip off your discussion. If you are not too far from me and my friend really can bring me Ledger Nano S, why wouldn't we meet for a good deal? I mean, personally.
480  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 2017 Bitcoin Debit Card Reviews on: April 15, 2017, 03:19:11 PM
you go to ANY ATM, doesn't have to be a crypto one, that's the whole point of having such card. You load it from your BTC wallet via the mobile app or via web and can then use the card at any shop that accepts MasterCard/VISA

Wow! How UB3R. I can suggest having more than one debit card anyway. Not only in crypto, but generally. The ATM could eat your card and it is uncomfortable if it was your only card. If you are a crypto holder, you could have a crypto debit card next to your fiat debit card, which means two cards already. I should get my one soon Smiley
