461  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: November 24, 2022, 02:46:44 PM
I have neither a goal of being a businessman nor a CEO. But I like to lead in a company. I honestly love it. So that goes on the employee position too.
Interacting with your people, I call them all friends even though I supervise them. I drink with them, go out with them, and hear their stories.
I think that's me, to hear stories of people, to listen.
But if there will be an opportunity to be a business owner, (capital needed) I'd like to be in the food industry. Serve people, give a smile using their tastebuds, again, listen to them if ever there's something wrong with the food.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 24, 2022, 11:28:40 AM
Didn’t put a bet down but I should have as the Celtics and Warriors m came through with wins on ESPN tonight. Day off tomorrow for the NBA but we’ll be able to enjoy games on the next big holiday, Christmas. Enjoy Thanksgiving if you’re in the US and if you aren’t, sorry for the lack of basketball for a day. Smiley
The Celtics duo did a good number again. Luka Doncic cannot shoulder everything, he will need someone that will step up his game to match this offensive monsters. From start to finish, it was an obvious win for the Celtics because the Mavericks are having a hard time to make stops.

How about the Chicago Bulls? It was a tight game against the Bucks. If not for White and Vucevic putting the dagger it could've continued in overtime.
This is the Bulls that we saw last year but they fell short after being hit by injuries. I wish it will be different this season.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Shit happens. Sorry for your loss. I have been there before, but the Bitcoin price back then is so low that it's not much regretful as what happened to you.
One big bet in dice, because I got tired of losing in small portions. It's a lost.
I said I will go back in a week to claim it back, chasing losses. Same ending. But I didn't give up and instead look for another way to make something out of gambling. I stopped playing dice, switched to poker. It's a good game and time consuming, you won't even feel time passing by, but profits are not that high, in my case.
I end up in sports gambling just like you. It's way better, in my opinion. This is just another regretful day, you will come back, that's for sure.
465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What feature of Bitcoin do you think is most difficult to understand? on: November 23, 2022, 10:15:03 AM
What's in front is easy. Usage. It's actually too user-friendly that it becomes easy to understand. Just keep your private keys and no one should know about this. Public keys are the one you are supposed to bring. Sending, receiving, and other basic stuffs are also shallow for those who have basic knowledge about computers to understand.
So, what's difficult?
Yes, the coding stuff/scripts. If an individual didn't educate himself about it, then you can't understand it even if you force yourself.
I let that role be taken care of by specialists like the members here in our forum. Honestly, I will just stay being the consumer/investor.

It was a real pleasure to watch Anthony Davis' last three matches. He put on an individual performance that is basically unbelievable and also very hard to imitate.

He has scored.
30 against Spurs,
38 against Pistons,
37 against Nets.

He also had a lot of rebounds (18,16,18). This type of performance is truly amazing.

At this point, I'm not sure if he will be able to maintain this level of performance in the next game. I just don't want him to get injured by pushing his body. Because that could potentially be detrimental to his career, again.

regards

Duke
This was like the bubble AD and it was definitely missed. I haven't seen him so dominant again after he was injured so it will be a big boost to the Lakers team to see him play like that once again. What I worry more is why does it take for Lebron James to be injured for them to step up their game?
What if he is back? Will the players of the Lakers will also go back to that laid back kind of team that is dependent with him?
I am sure Lebron is now excited to play with them again, but I doubt it will be the same performance as they are now.
Most analysts are still predicting they won't be reaching the playoffs.
467  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is the only crypto you should BUY on: November 22, 2022, 08:13:58 AM
The way I see it, all bullshit token and coin abandons are done for this one reason; they only have one purpose which I will explain better...
We saw Luna and FTT are made for a reason which is to support those companies themselves, the day these companies drop their token or their currency will drop too.
They tried to mimic what Binance did by creating BNB. That doesn't mean it will be the same ending as how successful Binance did it.
That's why for me bitcoin is perfection because this previous one is multipurpose and its foundation is to avoid intermediaries there are no companies managing it, we will not be able to match satoshi due to the price drop(thats a clever move for him to stay behind the scenes).

Because we know that satoshi does not depend on a company to reinforce bitcoin.
And with this I finish all the currencies are a scam(meaning that the price can disappear) for me, personally  the legit ones they are btc and tether.

What do you think?
It's like saying you are not giving any chance to others who are building themselves too.
What if you are the one who found a new type of cryptocurrency that would change the perspective with altcoins? "Scam" as you say it.
Should we give you a chance or not? Or should we just say that is just another "scam"?
It's a broad competitive network and everyone who has knowledge with it can try to make one. I wish not all investors will have the same point of view as yours.

Bitcoin will always be my number 1 choice but that doesn't mean I am closing my eyes afterwards.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you still win with free spins? on: November 21, 2022, 11:40:59 AM
Is it possible to stick with free spins on online casinos and still be able to make some good reward?

I am looking into the free side of things, no risk at all with free spins but the question is has anyone ever make something out of free spins before? Something reasonable at?

The last time I earned something free from gambling websites was when BTC has very low value and many faucets still run, that's couple of years back.
Then we have the same experience. The last time I also won by just using free spins were years ago. I got bored doing it and stopped. I change my game to dice as I realized I was wasting time waiting for a free spin again.
This kind of strategy is luck-based. You cannot expect to win a lot by using free spins and the system won't let you too.
The purpose of those kind of offers was just to pull more customers by testing their products, it's not for gamblers who are used to spending more to achieve higher profits.
It's all up to you if you have more time to spare.

Lots of exciting games today. Cavaliers will meet Miami Heat. Houston Rockets versus the Warriors. Will this be the day where the Warriors will be lifting the curse out. They have not yet won a road game and I am not to underestimate the Rockets, but the Warriors should be able to win this in a blowout.
I don't understand what is happening to them since they are winning their home games. Are they lacking the confidence when they are on the road?
It's time to put an end to this dilemma.
Klay Thompson is getting better in his rhythm. Let's see if there will be consistency.
471  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is likely to head towards a price of $13,000 on: November 20, 2022, 02:42:11 PM
If it does, then another opportunity for those who are doing DCA. Investment wise though, I would rather keep my BTC intact. You are not really at loss if your 1 Bitcoin is still 1 Bitcoin. It doesn't matter when you bought it, it's the time that you have to think about.
If you have a plan on keeping it for 10-20 years then this should not worry you. Only traders should worry about the impact of this sudden dumps because that's their business.
IMHO, Bitcoin will still go up, and again it's just a matter of time.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How are Online casino's and sports betting platforms coping? on: November 20, 2022, 12:33:56 PM
Well, I doubt they were hit hard because of the pandemic and the economic issues. It's more devastating on physical casinos and many of them closed down shop because they cannot maintain the expense anymore.
Online casinos are the ones harvesting those players now. Recently, I just saw a friend who had been playing slots non-stop, he even asks me for money online which he will pay for cash.
They will always have customers as long as their game is appealing. It's not about cutting anything; it's about adding more spice.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in seed rounds on: November 20, 2022, 06:49:42 AM
As long as there are investors buying, I doubt it will stop. ICO, IDO, or whatever offering, they will exist for a long time because there are still developers who cannot afford to start the business so they will just let the investors do the funding while they continue their work.
I do think they are not a bad idea, but high risk is the twin brother of it. So, this kind of strategy is for those who have experience or investors who can really understand and monitor the market after the listing.
Well-timed selling will be the key for profits.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 19, 2022, 07:16:21 AM
The NBA nowadays is becoming more and more competitive. More than 20 teams are capable of qualifying for the playoffs. We can only count the teams that are weak and some rebuilding teams with lots of future first-round draft picks like the Utah Jazz and OKC are performing at their unexpected pace. I am hoping that some teams without superstars can enter the playoffs as they are more fun to watch. Imagine the reactions of teams like the Brooklyn Nets with nearly $200 million in salaries and then all of a sudden a team like Indiana Pacers with less than a hundred million dollars performs better? The most expensive salaries this season will be spent by GSW with over $200 million. And there's Draymond Green wanting a max contract.
Yes, that's correct, and this is the season that looks unpredictable again. It's better. Last year was a good run too as the Warriors was not really expected to take the throne again. They are either underdogs or they are neglected to be a championship caliber during last year season.
But now, it's different. Young teams like the Jazz and Thunder are making big efforts to enter the playoffs.
I bet even the pro basketball analysts are having a hard time to predict who will be the champion this year. Even the Bucks are losing while the Celtics are consistent.
475  Other / Off-topic / Re: Time management on: November 19, 2022, 04:51:55 AM
I tried it, time management, but I don't really like the result. When things are being done repeatedly it gets to the point that it becomes a stressful kind of work. I changed my way of doing things to being unpredictable.
There's still a goal, that is mandatory. But you don't do things like a job, you do it because you love it. And when you find that one thing that you really love then everything will be on its road to success. You get to enjoy it without anyone telling you about time.
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is here to stay. on: November 18, 2022, 03:32:10 PM
Despite all of the drama with FTX:

-Apple pay added USDC support
providing  an easy on-ramp for 500mil+
-Gaming juggernauts like Riot games are building in web 3.
-Billion dollar brands are incoming to the space.

Crypto is here to stay.
Thank you for the optimistic view. We need that in the crypto space as more investors are being affected by the fear that had been lurking all over social media. More good news to come.
Even me is affected by it, I lost so much that I began to wonder if I should sell now and buy back if ever the prices go deep again.
Reality will hit you too hard but in the end I decided I will just stay. Selling now is just suicide.
477  Economy / Speculation / Re: Generational Buying Period is On-Going on: November 18, 2022, 10:20:50 AM
The memory of buying after the dump months ago is still fresh. Now it's way cheaper like 10k of USD less. Just thinking about it makes me smile already.
I don't regret what I have done before, and I still won't regret it now. If the dump won't stop then I will keep on buying in parts until my capital is depleted.
It's harder to be on the other side where you are not buying now and regretting it later. It's a nightmare that will keep on visiting you in your sleep.
The "what if's".
478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 18, 2022, 03:51:31 AM
Brooklyn Nets looking different when Joe Harris goes wild. Now 4 of 4 in deep. If this will continue, they might win against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Defense and less turnovers will be their other key to win the game since KD and Harris can cover the offensive end. Seth Curry has not yet found his rhythm, let's see what he can do in the 2nd half.

Sacramento Kings going strong, Spurs trying to stay close.
479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Must it be the last game? on: November 17, 2022, 02:06:17 PM
Why not limit the number of game which you always win base on your previous parlay. There is nothing wrong to decrease your odds if the result will be converted to profit.
Yes, this is the solution to your problem. Cut the parlay into lesser numbers if you think you won't hit. Your instincts will basically react to this, like you are doubting to add one more because it feels like it will be the game that will drag down the profits if you are expecting to cash out.
Parlay rules are different, maybe that's why you feel like the cashout amount was too low while there's one game left in your long list.
You can notice it, that the multiplied amount is getting higher and higher while adding another and so the cashout rule is just following it with some cuts because you are not to continue the risk.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are crypto devs so greedy on: November 17, 2022, 01:08:29 PM
Any centralized platform is not safe, I would not expect anything, and I won't even try to look for it because you are just going to waste your time.
Cold wallets are the only solution to keep your funds safe. Keeping it in an exchange is like a ticking time bomb.
About the projects created by developers, it is still up to you and your research to filter how trustworthy it will be for long term investment.
Not all of them are greedy, some do have a goal to use it as a service for the people but supporters in this era have a different point of view on how they will invest. More on hype and trends, not the project within. Just look at memecoins now, how much money is invested there.
